Living Wills, Power of Attorney, Wills, Traffic Tickets, Business Disputes, Filing for Disability ...the list is endless for things that require the skills of an attorney.

As a caregiver, can you afford to pay for those services?

Can you afford to deal with them alone?

On this clip from the show, I discuss an affordable solution that I've been using for nearly eight years. Just recently, this solution REALLY came to my rescue.

For less than the price of a combo meal each week ...you, as a caregiver, can have access to a full legal team to help handle the crazy and overwhelming things slamming into you on a regular basis.

I tested it on myself first ...and guess what?  It's one of the best decisions I've ever made.

We purchased and shipped equipment and supplies and with the help of inmates in a Tennessee prison. We also recycle parts from donated limbs.

Welcome back to the show if you will be a part of the show 877-655-6755 877-655-6755 whatever's on her worldly family talk show hero Sears exam and were love and were glad to have you with us about is always enjoyed by himself become muddy disco John Butler and it is a treat. Always Joe back at your buddy. I am it was an interesting week as we go through this to the way care of into the show, but we got into this dispute with this company and it turned a little bit unpleasant and to the point where we needed to take some action on this and resolve this issue.

Well, couple flakes and I'm trying I don't.

I want to come for the amendment others. I don't want to tell you about the company and how bad they are and steer you away from them what to tell you what's a path towards help. What's a better way to do it again, I refer to myself as the crush test dummy of caregivers and my failures are teachable moments for you scuttle I know I have benefited tremendously from all of your rather impressive failures to its original Hall of Famer. If you hear from you.

Always lies is when mad good will write it is.

We had to get we had to get legal help involved with this now so you know what I did would I called the law firm that I have through legal shield and I was able to get to a lawyer and she called me back within three hours that's regularly called back that fast.

Okay, now for additional perspective you're in Montana.

There is no part. There is no part of Montana does not. Montana is is is a very small town with a lot of long avenues right so you're not but I understand an area known auto in this attorney is 200 miles away yeah okay but every state has a firm or firms that are contracted with this right so if I'm in Tennessee, for example, there's a for Nashville.

I would where you are. John would have a firm there. If I'm in Dallas where it is is produce the show from Dallas that have affirmed their having to be out here so this is where ago so I called them up they call me back. They took all the stuff of this will go back I'll have the technical several hours later, the tourney comes back we talked, we chatted for about 30 minutes about this issue. So how about if I just write a letter and you don't know and I'll just make it with these people not take this off and I'll send it to you for your approval.

Need take a look and I said well how about this, I would have a driver about you just write could have said how about I just say thank you because of a guy was very grateful because it was it was a little bit dicey and and it was getting dicier by the moment.

And so I I took her up on it and said okay and she did in us as she said with the draft of the letter and I thought this game official okey-dokey to it and he said it and then in the letter says look you don't talk was these people anymore. You talk with me directly. You know I'm there tourney and you talk with me okay okay handled, she think I paid for that. This is a member of. There's no more than sufficient benefit benefit know this put our stuff right there. I don't how much LDG on ARI. How much are you like hand like there's like that's it. She handled it. That one letter will she's she's working that with me and now she's sitting I don't know what these people did respond back with gotcha gotcha okay okay she's prepared to deal with them and negotiate them on our behalf, and I noticed something like it here and you are you threatening Nicole lawyer like oh I don't hear from your health. My attorney trying to resolve it that way in this bullying sort of way called your lawyer. They sent a letter and there you go. How much did it cost you will the people that were involved in this dispute with this were incredibly inappropriate. Let me just say that and they were not cool and I didn't talk with and will is a legal term I learned that it lost what I watch a lot of law in order so they were not cool. And so I want to talk with and so I called my attorney who had never been for this first time, you know, because were not here. I had one a group to work with down and into the seam over there. But this is different, and so she called back within three hours she drafted up a letter send it to me for my approval and then ascending it to these people in order to work it all out $25 $25 a month because that's what I pay is a subscriber's subscription to legal channels.

Yeah, that's what I do $25.

Now I would ask all my fellow caregivers will talk about this more than excitement.

I would ask everyone if you want you to think about any event in your life where you need legal help somebody to write a letter to cease-and-desist somebody to help you with the will somebody to help you get a Hugo file an order of protection you know where to go start with somebody to help you transfer your business or incorporate your business somebody to help you with the traffic ticket. There's all kinds of stuff that we need a lawyer for how much you pay how much you budgeting for this how much you you enduring without it.

That's my class, really, how much are you having to absorb in your emotional and mental stress without an attorney that is fighting for you that represents you that you used to think it was unaffordable will guess what you prove you wrong, don't go away.

We got more focus. Does this is this is a story.

It's my story, but it could be your story to hope the caregiver's funeral 877-655-6755 no growing you ever struggled to trust God when lousy things happen to you. So glad was John.

As I was saying before I get back to the all the things which about the legal stuff I got to you about my ongoing feud with the Moose and my sister once really that's another Monty Python jerk or something subtitle of the beginning of of holy Grail.

The Finnish Parliament. Of course I know mind are a little about my Moose about here in Montana and Wheaton family has six horses and I think in the morning during the winter time and we have a barn with hay.

Okay, well, the barn doesn't have doors at close issues. He put under shelter things you to go in there and get the hay and it it's and I do that but that I noticed that my chain was down across and I suspected that I was having a nightly visitor and so I went and I put up two more change so put the had to cross that uplifts the Bible things and I put a chain about that. That's about should have for me.

I'm 6 feet tall should mention have for you, but is your quite a bit taller and then putting below it so they couldn't. You know you don't see many of you, they will crawl, but that there's it's not easy and so and so I can and I noticed that my writing was this in the chamber specifically for Moose well this is a chain that was just be a deterrent to wildlife that the cats I can't do anything about because we have met was out here though.

Get in there now curl up right in the hay that's that mother that's a fine howdy do. And so, so Grace and I were coming home from church the other night and it was dark and but I saw the light by the barn and I thought she would in a multiplicity was going on assault of the chain was that one of the chain was due three changed one of two over down with the top but was still up that's odd and pulled it sideways there. That includes full frontal to face it. I just pulled it sideways and the sound of the car evidently created enough of a of a whatever burdens processes clatter that all of a sudden this enormous creature comes flying and when I say flying. I'm not kidding. It looked like Santa's reindeer take it off and it was it was a hell I don't think it was a bull didn't have the palms okay okay but but sometimes the bulls will shed their palms and I wouldn't get a peek hundred skirt. You know what I'm saying if you're doing that you're too close to the Moose this thing came flying in left over the top chain.

It is as big as a horse yeah and and if I had pulled in straight.

It would later write on the hood of of our truck yeah and that would that's a bad thing bad thing through classified as megafauna. Will this this is a it's all in badly you write the steps. All you listing what I write this down if you go to sneak up on a Moose committed sideways okay just I just say just write that down is a little piece of information that may come in handy. One day write that down and so I thought okay I would fix this problem and I secured the change even more and and then I sold the Moose said you could.

The next day Anderson will have a thought about doors, but I got strong chains and went up for a placement interval so it's not easy for the Moose to to leap into this place in a study to crawl into this place. But then Gracie got a picture of me that the Moose was laying down just relaxing in the snow right across the road from us. We live 10 miles from the paved road was it's not across the street.

It's across the road and and is laying down there and there's the wooden fits their and for that particular passions, our neighbor, and the Moose is Lena and Gracie officially walking out of the snow by the fits of the knee deep snow and I'm scolding the stay out of the hay is not yours and in the Moose you have care.

The Moose had a a a look of practiced apathy is to balance her head so anyways I just that's mostly good. Also I'm kind of the Wiley Coyote of etiquette by Acme anti-Moose kit right at any moment. Now he's going to say. Should you see a flying squirrel said he but it was so back to the story of what happened. So we call the lawyer right. Call the lawyer we had for those you down just what is Butler this is hope for the caregiver. Grace and I had a a legal dispute with the service provider and it and it did not go is is comfortably as we would've liked. I'm being very delicate on this okay and it's the company did not act very professional and incoming say hey you're not happy with our services we not right you know what I would we want we want to meet in the middle somewhere here and and so they spared us fair to you that, think Aldo they it was it when it really went into a bad place so we had to get a lawyer involved, but lawyers are expensive and so I called through it because I'm a member of legal shield. I called to the law firm that I have access to and got a call back three hours later, the lawyers will take care of some draft letter for your approval that us of these people. They can only talk to me.

They don't usually do worry about it. Then we'll see where it goes from there and will make presentations if we get this thing resolved by being better boom but it's done the Consiglio Tory Consiglio a letter is a good Christmas and then I thought. First off, it built to easy yeah and but I'm only paying $25 a month for this is extraordinary that I have this level of service for that rate and I thought how many caregivers people just like me who are just inundated with all kinds of stuff. If we want to contest a bill or whatever. Yeah deserve and require good legal representation, but we think it's unaffordable so we just absorb it financially or exhibit emotionally exactly and we fall into one of those you know those landmines that they talk to me it's all up to you all up to me and I asked for help and receive yeah but I asked for help, and I received and was quite frankly glad that I did and and so I thought you is not just for business disputes.

It's it's more than that. There are so many things that we could have access to is caregivers that we need help with, and who's helping you as a caregiver legally.

I mean, there's a comedian that I can't remember the guys name, but it's one of the things is there anything more satisfying than canceling plans like I was given I was getting ready to go out just like you know I really don't want rather be at home in my pajamas watching Netflix very satisfying thing is not it's it's it's a comedy bit so it's not really supposed to be real, but think about the satisfaction you had in you.

If you did not have access to a lawyer you were going to have to make plans to do all I have to say, what if I got it is out. I got deal with these people instead you have, that's what a lawyer is, it is someone who is authorized to act on your behalf legally and they notable in that it when I do, and they're not socially involved exactly 30 grade and I thought process. Caregivers who was helping you and and you know what I said to this attorney after she called me and she said look I got this note this is what to do about this is that all right you what I said.

I said thank you thank you because it was a huge weight off of my shoulder to know that I am not fighting this battle all by myself, and is caregivers. How many times if you fought this battle all by your self, how much of you absorb financially over things that you didn't need to do. How much of you shelled out to a another attorney possibly or how much if you just take it on the chin and just had to suck it up and say okay I don't have a choice of just that I have to do this because I don't have the wherewithal to fight this.

How would you like to watch wrestling Jonah deleted. I grew up in Jonesboro Arkansas was about an hour and 1/2 away from Memphis and Jerry Waller was on here is Joe on like a camera was like a public access station right after a show I was washing and I knew that was the end of my time will watching wrestling. That is the end of your death.

If you ever watch wrestling, tagteam, wrestling, and think about the relief it gives you to tag out and just climb out of there and let somebody else fly from home but it just take you know that's kind of what it feels like when you're able to tag out to somebody who is competent who knows what they're doing. A professional they help you and and I listen, I gotta tell you it was a huge it was a huge thing when I went out had that interacts with this attorney and and I thought about all the things that we need is caregivers all the legal help we need the filing for disability $25 a month.

I mean is that for happy meals mean honestly you know what what we talk about here for that kind of peace of mind and how how troubled is your mind is a caregiver, how would you like to have at your beck and call a full legal firm that could handle the sink from filing for disability for your loved one. You or find a parking ticket disputes with with with your difficult service providers, including medical providers has any question as a caregiver.

Have any of you ever seen an incorrect bill from your healthcare provider for your loved one. I don't care what the dog to have your receipt.

I have I have caught more mistakes on medical bills on Andre, she stuff of the everything what she said 80 surgeries. She's been in 12 different hospitals and world where you $11 million in medical bills. 100 different doctors have treated her enough caught mistakes and what was it you, I know what it was like for me to go and protest those mistakes and and and go to sit down with the hospital administrator and it was. Not cool man. It was just not cool and I was. Not cool.

Evan didn't teach me all this in music school. I'm a music major for heaven sakes.

When I first got married I know anything about health, health insurance and healthcare and all that come stuff I never do what the first job I had in the corporate world. They were going to have a meeting for employee benefits in the in the break room. They said we have meeting for employee benefits said I didn't know what they meant by benefits at the hand of God. John, I've really thought they meant longer lunches the better part yeah like like you guys were getting a really good coffee for the yeah that's where I went to with a sit benefits. I did not know and I think about all the different things I've had to battle on my own and I didn't have any legal help to do it now. I do now I do and it's $25 a month.

And guess what you could have it to dollars a month. Come on. I mean honestly, caregiver legal.com just what this court there, it's you click on note to say hey I want to hear more caregiver legal.com 25 bucks but that's it.

There's there's i do this.

This is what I do is a caregiver, why aren't you over the caregiver 877-655-6755 877-655-6755 if you will be a part of the show dispute arose. But don't go away. We got more to come. Still have the count of muddy disco with us as a caregiver.

Think about all the legal documents you need power of attorney will, living wills, and so many more than about such things as disputes about medical bills. What if instead of shelling out hefty fees for a few days of legal help. You paid a monthly membership and got a law firm for life. The source of my help and strength, please visit standing with help.com to learn more and participate in lifting others@standingwithout.com. I'm Gracie. I am staining with help and caregiver here on joy, the Lord is on her new CD resilient and you can be proud holder of that CD in just a matter of steps just staining with hope.com you referred Gracie story you've heard what were about stayed with hope is to program Mary's will is for the wounded and for those who care for them and for the wounded is the prosthetic limb outreach that Gracie herself envisioned. After giving up both of her legs and she wanted to be able to put quality prosthetic limbs on her fellow amputees and tell them about Christ. That's it very simple and they go walking and leaping and praising God. And they really do it is just an extraordinary thing you give the gift that keeps on walking and part of that is, as we have a recycling program. We recycle prosthetic limbs and they go to prison in Tennessee run by core civic it's one of course civics. Many faith-based programs. You know what faith-based programs work for inmates. They work, they work for all of us.

I am I am I am a face, but he spoke of because that's my whole life as I am putting all of my trust into something that is greater than myself and that is Christ, and I can't do this on my own and these inmates have participated in this program with us for years and they help us disassemble use limbs that come in from all around the country they go to the prison and then they disassemble divorce impeccable of them sinless parts that can be recycled, but all the kidney, but once the things it can be.

We send it over to God and we worked West Africa been doing that for 15 years and they will also purchase more equipment on it. In country there to make the new parts so like the socket has to be custom fitted to that patient right there in country and so they will use the pylon of the recycled foot or the recycle knee or the screws, adapters, prosthetic socks, all those things.

So take a look at that for the wounded and those who care for them in the prosthetic limb outreach and in this radio show for those caregivers for the wounded and those who care for them. Standing with hope and check out that program the course of it does with that with the inmates. It's really cool. I mean it's just so cool and they love it. The guys love it. I've talked to more guys over there that program and they they find it interesting work they find it hard driven meaningful think they have a big poster of of of us over in Africa of different pictures of patients we treated surface right there in the workshop and it offered comments from these guys like you know I never did anything positive with my hands before this program on every thought about crippled people before this program and so that's what were doing. So how about you being a part of that today and for donation stayed with hope for any amount email will send you copy Gracie CD you'll love it is a fabulously deep and she just is. She's the real deal. So John anyway.

The lesson I learned was and it's all part of it's about book 7 caregiver landmines led my number seven is thinking that it's all up to you and I have been guilty of this may look at me.

You could tell of hit landmines. One does not wake up and look like this. This is this is a pattern of behavior over a lifetime.

I was I was thinking about this earlier and it's understandable all these landmines that you talk about our completely reasonable is not is not a failing to fall into the because that's the deal. You know it's yes the buck stops here when there is a problem. I'm the one that is going to solve it when when when at the end of the day.

That is your you're the last person between your loved one disaster. However, you can plan ahead for a lot of things and make sure that you're in the best possible spot to do it all up to you and and there are people who really can come alongside you and help you yeah there truly are and those people may not look like what you think. And then they may look exactly what you think some of this people good be wearing a lab coat and there can be physicians, as we said earlier for the caregiver tip of the day go to your dentist and get your teeth cleaned by the dental hygienist.

Some of those people to be wearing a mask and a big face shield and rubber gloves and make little drill sounds really close to your mouth, but you know what they're helping. They are helping you by keeping you healthy and some of those people are going to look like attorneys that you can afford through our program that were offering here caregiver legal.com just take a look at this is what I do. Some of those people look like a pastor and some of those people don't just look like a friend who will sit with you and listen to you and just be with. Either way, be willing to accept help. Okay, be willing to accept help and if you don't have enough courage to ask for it for yourself today borrow some of my okay learn from my failures, learn from my mistakes, learn from my lack of doing this and the things I've learned the hard way. It's okay if Peter really believes this and he's been a caregiver enough for 34 years. This is what he does. Maybe I can learn to ask for help to and I have reporter share the story, it was one of those kind of seminal moments for me in at a reporter asked me what they were doing an interview and he said you know what would Jesus do as a caregiver for Chuck but was just such an interesting question is it wasn't for a Christian news outlet was just out of the just.

It was back a while back when there everybody was wearing braces. Debbie Debbie JD or whatever. What would Donald do or something that everybody was just going kinda crazy with, but they said they asked me that question. What would Jesus do as a character and for whatever reason I had a moment of clarity. John and I said before they come sporadic exactly loaded lab of but I I said to this reporter. I don't know what Jesus would do as a character, but I can tell you what he did what he did do was he delegated care of his mother to the apostle John, from the cross. Go back just go back look at the text says urgent. He said look as if mother, your son son, your mother and he turned over care of his mother, which was his responsibility, because evidently Joseph had died. At some point was out of the picture.

By the time Jesus went to public ministry was his responsibility to look after his mother, but he's on the cross. The feeling a greater responsibility for you with any delegated care of his mother to John and I thought you don't if Jesus can delegate if Jesus could assign or ask for help in soaking. This is hope for the kick. Hopefully caregiver.com. The record ministry podcast. It's all there. Take a look at all the books caregivers
