Of course, are famous taken from Hebrews chapter 12 where the writer of Hebrews tells us to look unto Jesus Christ, who, for the glory set before him. The joy set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, he is now seated at the right hand of God the father were told to consider him, lest we become discouraged and wearied in our souls. There are many reasons why we should look to Jesus, but one of them according to Hebrews 12, is to look on him so that we don't become discouraged and us organa do tonight. I wanted to share with you something interesting this service to the songs that we put together and the Scripture readings were to be meditating on tonight was actually planned two years ago in January and February 2020 and the intention was for us to enjoy the service they were enjoying now in April 2020, of course, that wasn't to be and it dawned on me this afternoon that instead of singing the songs and the Scripture readings that are there calling us to look unto Jesus two years ago God had other plans actuaries to go out and practice doing that for the last two years to learn to look to him, lest we become discouraged and weary in our souls and so now finally after two years of waiting we get to sing the songs and and hear these scriptures read hopefully with a much fuller and deeper appreciation for what it means to look unto Christ. That's what organa do tonight without witnessing several songs. A lot of them are new songs. A lot of them are old familiar songs, but I will invite you to join the choir lyrics of the on the screens. The music of your music reader is in the worship guide we want you to sing with us.

This is not a performance. This is a worship service so please feel free to join in as together we the church of Jesus Christ look unto Christ who is the author and the finisher of our faith.

To begin with a call to worship you to read this responsively if you would read the part of the congregation as we begin tonight.

I will give to the Lord. The thanks is due to his righteousness, and I will sing praise to the name of the Lord most high sing praises to the Lord who sits enthroned in Zion tell among the peoples, his deeds, and sing praises to the Lord, all you his saints and give thanks to his holy name and sing praises to God, sing praises sing praises to our King, sing praises for God is the King of all the earth, sing praises with us all and in and in a come, let us sing to the Lord, let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation and I will sing of steadfast love and justice to you oh Lord, I will make music. Let's sing to him tonight me and in a and in and in the right you Lord, Lord, hear my voice. Let your ears be attentive to the voice of my pleas for mercy. If you oh Lord, should mark iniquities Lord who could stand with you there is forgiveness that you may be feared.

I wait for the Lord, my soul waits, and in his word. I hope my soul waits for the Lord more than watchmen for the morning more than watchmen for the morning, O Israel, hope in the Lord. For with the Lord there is steadfast love with him is plentiful redemption and he will redeem Israel from all his iniquities will God love the love of God made manifest among the God sent his only son into the world so that we might live through him. In this is love, not that we have loved God but that he loved us and sent his son to be the propitiation for our sins. For this reason I bow my knees before the father from whom every family in heaven and on earth is named, that according to the riches of his glory. He may grant you to be strengthened with power through his Spirit in your interbeing so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may have strength to comprehend with all the saints what is the breath and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ that surprised surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God and when the full time income God for God, born of woman, born under the law, to redeem those who were under the law so that we might receive adoption as sons.

And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature and in favor with God and man in those days Jesus came from Nazareth of Galilee and was baptized by John in the Jordan, and when he came out of the water.

Immediately he saw the heavens being torn open and the spirit descending on him like it, and a voice came from heaven, you are my beloved son. With you I am well pleased. And Jesus went throughout all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues and proclaiming the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every disease and every affliction.

So Jesus said I am the good shepherd. I know my own and my own know me, just as the father knows me and I know the father and I lay down my life for the sheep in the days of his flesh, Jesus offered up prayers and supplication, with loud cries and tears to him who is able to save him from death, and he was heard because of his reverence although he was a son, he learned obedience through what he suffered and being made perfect, he became the source of eternal salvation to all who obey him him him him as a and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and Pilate again said to them, and what shall I do with the man you call the King of the Jews and they cried out again, crucify him and Pilate said to them, why, what evil has he done, but they shout it all the more.

Crucify him. So Pilate wishing to satisfy the crowd lease for them. Barabbas and having scores Jesus, he delivered him to be crucified, and the soldiers leading the way inside the palace, that is the governor's headquarters and they called together the whole battalion and they clothed him in a purple cloak and twisted together a crown of thorns, they put it on him and they began to salute him. He'll King of the Jews and there were striking his head with a read and spitting on him, and kneeling down in homage to him and when they had mocked him, they stripped him of the purple cloak and put his own clothes on him and they leading away to crucify him and they compel the passerby assignment of serene who is coming in from the country, the father of Alexander and Rufus to carry his cross, and they brought him to the place called Golgotha, which means place of a skull and they offered him wine mixed with myrrh, but he did not take it, and they crucified him, and divided his garments among them, casting lots for them to decide what each should take and it was the third hour when they crucified him, and the inscription of the charges against him. Read the King of the Jews and with whom they crucified two robbers, one on his right and one on his left and those who passed by derided him, wagging their heads and saying hi you who would destroy the temple and rebuild it in three days, save yourself and come down from the cross, so also the chief priests were the scribes mocked a mocking to one another, saying he saved others, he cannot save himself, let the Christ the King of Israel come down now from the cross, that we may see and believe those who were crucified with him also reviled him, and when the six hour had come there was darkness over the whole land until the ninth hour and at the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice alloy alloy llama select Donnie which means my God, my God, why have you forsaken me, and some of the bystanders here and it said, behold, he is calling Elijah and someone ran and filled a sponge with sour wine, put on a read and gave it to him to drink, saying wait, let us see whether Elijah will come down, come to take him down. And Jesus uttered a loud cry and breathed his last, and the curtain of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom and when the centurion who stood facing him, Saul, that this way he breathed his last. He said truly this man was the son of God will and and and and and and will will and in and in a will and he will and will and now after the Sabbath for the donor.

The first day of the week, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went to see the tomb, and behold, there was a great earthquake, for an angel of the Lord descended from heaven and came and rolled back the stone and sat on his appearance was like lightning, and his clothing white as snow, and for fear of him.

The guards trembled and became like dead men. But the angel said to the women. Do not be afraid, for I know that you see Jesus was crucified. He is not here, for he has risen, as he said, see the place where he lay, then go quickly and tell his disciples that he has risen from the dead, and behold, he is going before you to Galilee.

There you will see him see I have told you so, they departed quickly from the tomb with fear and great joy, and ran to tell the disciples.

Behold, Jesus met them and said, greetings, and they came up and took hold of his feet and worshiped him him and in and in and in and in and in and in and let them out for me and lifting up his hands. He blessed them while he blessed them, he parted from them, and was carried up into heaven, and they worshiped him and returned to Jerusalem with great joy and were continually in the temple blessing God. But when Christ had offered up for all time a single sacrifice for sins, he sat down at the right hand of God, waiting from that time until his enemies should be made a footstool for his feet. Therefore God has highly exalted him, and bestowed on him the name that is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the father is a then we have a great high priest who has passed through the heaven Jesus the son of God, let us hold fast our confession that love be genuine up or what is evil. Hold fast what is good. Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who promised is faithful. Should I in the Jake all the youth's eyes is nice and I and all will find that the is that she is strong and greetings and I find nasty and I will and I is all I and you gave me and he is surprised that all these are several passages of Scripture that I've paraphrased in part as a confession of our faith. Christian, what do you believe we believe that everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. We believe this to be so. Because Christ was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities the punishment that brought us peace was upon him, and by his wounds we are healed and we believe that since Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever all his faith is in him will have eternal life, and they will never perish, and nothing will be able to snatch them out of his hand.

For this reason we celebrate saying the Lord is my strength and my song, and he has become my salvation. This is my God and I will praise him, my father's God and I will exalt him. The Lord lives, and blessed be my rock and exalted be my God the rock of my salvation.

Behold, God is my salvation. I will trust and will not be afraid, for the Lord God is my strength and my song, and he has become my salvation is all in my would you stand with me and listen to these reassuring beautiful words from Jude.

God says to us now to him who is able to keep you from stumbling and to present you blameless before the presence of his glory with great joy to the only God our Savior through Jesus Christ our Lord the glory, majesty, dominion and authority for all time and now and forever. Amen. The cross is the name.

Foolishness being saved it is the power of God. I look at America tonight in my heart breaks. See America going in so many wrong directions. And the reason for that is because I don't know what we heard about tonight the answers, not politics.

The answer is not social change.

The answers the gospel looking unto Jesus, how can we change the way we change it is to witnessing the message that we heard tonight is by taking it to those that we know is that we come in contact with letting them know that Jesus Christ is our only guys thank you for the presentation the night's not presentation was a worship service, we thank you for the in the instrumentalist singers.
