DS #3 Understanding Prophecy Continued

Now today's message from Dr. Don Wilton. If we don't understand the significance of the covenant relationship between God and his people. Number two, we must understand the significance of sin. But we are not willing to accept the fact that there are consequences for sin. That's something that we rarely struggle with folks I was talking about soccer leagues. I'm just picking on soccer by the way, the same is true with baseball boss could bowl and all other kinds of things, there are academic pressures upon actual tremendous academic pressures.

Increasingly, our schools are announcing functions that that run against the activities of the church folks of your children and my children want to make the ball team and if I want to get this academic scholarship.

They go to toe the line.

It doesn't matter what's going on now there's some that you cannot avoid what I want but I do. I bow to balance these things up. And if we gain understanding in the light of God's word.

We go to understand comment and we would understand. Soon, and we understand punishment and days of full thing we both understand choice God gives us a choice.

My say this. Out of all the love of my heart. Folks, I pray that none of our people in this congregation are going to become susceptible to false prophets and spot I will guarantee you this year and next year they will again rise up in Spartanburg County and our community.

They will be ministers there will be men and women of the cloth who will rise up, preaching and teaching a false gospel. I walked down the gospel gospel. They will cut the word of God. They will destroy the word of God, they'll give themselves the social gospel preaching, they will eliminate things that God teaches us in the name of common sense and compromise compromises the name of the guy path away from covenant to judgment.

Folks, we are living in the rain. This time, no matter what persuasion might be and not standing in judgment to anybody.

The fact of the matter in America today. There is a systematic cutting of the word of God.

False prophets taking place and people are flocking to the left and right blueprints today are filled with silence. There is a destruction of sacred and holy. There is a destruction of sacred and holy.

This is the path away from covenant to judgment. What happened here. Nebuchadnezzar the false prophets infiltrated. There's a cutting up of the word of God. Remember the tussle between Joe lawyer came in the prophet Jeremiah. You need to read about that in Jeremiah chapter 36 and solely what happens in the middle of this is a destruction of the sacred and holy this and infiltration of God's house what it Nebuchadnezzar knew the house of God. He went into the temple. He took sacred things out of the temple before there's a compromise and confusion that takes place, how to bring about compromise and confusion is quite simple. He took the sacred and holy things out of the temple. He put them in a bag he carried them all to Babylon and he put them associated with the false gods of the prophet of bio and Babylon, the associated them. He amalgamated them he confused them. He compromise them so that over time they became to be seen as one in the same thing.

You know what Satan wants more than anything as he takes us in the journey from covenant to judgment. He wants to make sure that nobody can tell a difference between you as a believer and that person is a nonbeliever and the more he can make us look alike and sound alike and behave alike and understand alike, the greater the victory of Satan you know why because he's taken us on the Parkway to compromise. He's taken the sacredness of the holiness of God and he's put alongside the decadence of the gods of value. Number five there is a selection of people that takes place in the path away from covenant to judgment. All friends visit so much to say here. I believe that as you go right throughout the story of God from Genesis to Revelation. You going to discover that the downward spiral from covenant to judgment always involves the selection of people I believe with all my heart that hovering outside these doors on Main Street is the evil presence of Satan who would seek to cripple us.

We need to be sober and to be vigilant.

The devil is a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.

Satan is out that he wants to pounce on some of us he's going to select us and he will use whatever means it is he's gonna offer scholarships. He's gonna offer us positions he's gonna offer us frame in fortune and raises he's gonna offer a spine houses purple and fine linen. He's gonna offer us the best that we can possibly have anything to select us from among the people I'm going to take you tell he's not going to go to the worst is going to take the base and he's going to write the best anything to use the best why because he's got us on a far cry from covenant to judgment.

Number six, there's an indoctrination that follows verse four and following in chapter 1, the indoctrination is unbelievable. These people were going to be taught the language or in the literature of the Babylonians. They were to eat the food that came from the Kings table.

There was even a defilement all the laws of the Levites as they apply themselves to the lack of a religious Jew, there was a defilement of the covenant relationship between God and these people. It was undertaken through systematic indoctrination. Basically what was taking place is that Satan himself was coming and saying listen it's okay just to have one.

It's not going to hurt you, that fought their way down Main Street USA with snow folding and jingle bells flying and you know offer always going to tell you to do is know when the site where don't drink and drive.

They covenant relationship with God, and Nebuchadnezzar said I know what I can do. I'm going to take the finest of the fine and I'm going to destroy this sense of family destroy their sense of origin.
