There are so many of us you've given your life to Christ you know your precious person and I look out and I see you we see each other and I want you to know that thankful for you. I don't want to say something here today that might've feigned you.

But if this offends you, then I will be very happy because some of you have got it all, but you are not living in the power of God, you, you've got all the equipment but you not living in the full power of the Lord, don't don't go through life like half hearted as a Christian I meant to read to you a passage.

Acts chapter 29 my I want to read to the first 12 verses because this this is the passage that tells us what happened when the Holy Spirit came down upon the believers.

Remember, Jesus died way to the cross rose again appeared to over 500 and then he ascended, went back to heaven and the believers all, looked around and said what we do now. Jesus is gone.

He left us, Jesus say don't you worry about a thing, because I'm going to empower you to go beyond. Often that the Holy Spirit will come upon you and he is going to give you extraordinary power to go beyond and this is it. And so what happened here in in the New Testament. I wish you could see this place because I had the privilege of preaching up the spot. I have many times I've preached right they at the same spot where where all this happened and and where it happens. Steps just like this on the southern states right on the northern part of the city of David and lid up to where the temple walls where it is today. You know the golden dome of the rock. The most disputed territory today.

Mount Moriah, this is going to be the headquarters by the way, this is where Jesus will set up his headquarters that will be the hidden corner of heaven for all time and eternity.

Bible says in Revelation 21 sold the new Jerusalem comes down from God out of heaven and Jesus said from now on I make my dwelling place on earth ever wondered where heaven is right now heaven is up there permanent heaven for all eternity's going to be right here on earth because God said so now this is very important. So if I was to take this little late turn of mind and put it over here. Just picture this is what you and I picture is the golden dome of the rock in Jerusalem the Temple Mount member Jesus gonna land back. They way he ascended is going to go down past the garden of Gethsemane through the Kidron Valley and across the golden through the Golden gate open the gate and he's going to go back onto the team to manage and establish his kingdom.

We live with him forever. So, in acts chapter 2, you've got an incredible picture that carries with it massive implications in terms of what Jesus told us would happen. Power will come upon you, and it happened right at this place. So on the steps of the temple mount the place where God will make his dwelling place forever where Mount Moriah is where it all began, so to speak with the sacrifice of Isaac who didn't have to die because only Jesus could be the one he's the only means he's the way the truth and the life, not Isaac, what he required of Abraham was your my obedience, willingness to say whatever you want and right there on those steps.

The spirit of God came down and right at that place what God did was he brought all the nations together. There were people away from every tribe and every culture and gonna read about it and they will all their guarding the saints brought the whole world to his headquarters in order to show that through him we could go to the whole world carrying his signature. His permission, his authority, his power. Okay, let's read about it.

You ready when the day of Pentecost arrived, they were all together in one place and suddenly they came from heaven a sound like a mighty rushing wind, and it filled the entire house where they were sitting and divided tongues of fire appeared to them, and rested on every one of them and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and I began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit gave them utterance. Now they would dwelling in Jerusalem Jews develop people from every nation under earth did you get that going to all the world and at this sound the multitude all came together, and they were bewildered because each one was hearing them speak in their own language and they were amazed and astonished sign on all of these who are speaking Galileans house a thing that we hear each one of us in our own native language. You know how do you stop that. So the whole time Karen is looking off to the full kids with great it's kinda like any time Gabby looked like she was about to pull herself up. It was like will cost and prepare. You know, there are a couple of times when when Karen would say happy come to ducky and Greg would say that mom like holding back. Wouldn't you know it's like what I just want to give you the good news. The good news, for she she didn't take her first apron if she did, we wouldn't have told anybody anyway. But you know and mommy got back from Africa from mission trip over there and was able to enjoy as a mother that wonderful epic event in the life of of her daughter. What wasn't, and how was it that my granddaughter Gabby was able to walk and take her first state what did she have to do well. She was going to rule.

She learned what had been made that not but it's like something that I put him in and you can read this one seems so what you do is this one.

God has given what Holy Spirit did pay the cost can essentially be summarized in three think the first thing he did was he remove barriers if you look at verse five with me Bible says all the nations came together. I want you to just think about America today. We we are a nation who really pride ourselves on being one nation under God, but in reality we not enter boot when you put into that scheme of things. All the people and the culture and the languages of the world in which we live. Jesus save go into all the world and make disciples, Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria, and to the uttermost parts of the age. How does this happen, how can I do that from my perspective because I have inherent barriers in me, I'm Barry from the part from the perspective of my bringing my culture, my language in this extraordinary power that Christ gives to us just removes the barriers number one number two empowers people this passage here is so powerful because every time you read it.

These tongues of fire rested on every one of them. No one was excluded Bible seizing right then in verse four. When you confess your sin and repented of your sin and you trust Jesus, and you receive them into your heart. You receive God the father.

You cannot divide God because God cannot be divided. But when you give your life to Christ, you become a babe in Christ you begin that journey. How do we grow in him, regrowing him by studying the Bible together by being in life groups by coming to church and listening to your pasta by your personal devotion by doing by seeing by engaging.

That's how you grow and when you grow in him. You know what happens your born you've got all your facilities. You got all capabilities and all the potential that God gives to each one of us and God in Ables's to develop and to grow in strength in the knowledge and admonition of the Lord Jesus and he is us. How undeveloped are you how grown are you perhaps one of these days on I will do a study that you know just study the development of we human beings.

Some of you look like you recovering from treatment. What is this what is this what what is this what's what.

What is what's got a hold of you. How come you you so quick to make donations to everything, but not to the Lord's work. You want to live, how come you so generous everywhere, accepting with the things of God. Can you feel that power the Holy Spirit.

I'm questioning whether or not you are a Christian man. Just look at us. He didn't. He enabled them to tell the truth, you know, when you go through this passage. Verse 29 and on and on. I mean we can break down all these passages the Holy Spirit. This extraordinary power of the Holy Spirit enabled them to tell the truth do you do know how intimidating our world is becoming when it comes to the truth of God.

It's intimidating. But God is truth in everything he shares with us and that requires an extraordinary power because it's not always popular, and it's certainly not always easy, and they certainly always so many avenues of of opposition and even persecution. I think of us in America, let alone people in parts of the world today with just one mention of the truth of God in Christ Jesus could cost them even their lives and he enabled them this extraordinary power, he enabled them to invite others with great conviction. I love verse 36 laid all the house of Israel, therefore, no for certain, laid all the house of Israel, therefore know for certain, I love that statement. This an invitation.

There that comes from an empowered heart of conviction and certainty.

That's why I can stand here today in site you know what I too am us in the same by the grace of God and I can tell you my friend that God loves you that Jesus died for you. I can tell you your sin condemns you when you give your life to Christ.

When you are willing to see your self in the light of who God is and repent of that sin and by faith, trust him as your Savior and Lord, your life will be so radically changed.

God will do something for you that is just so incredible, and then when he had saved you he will empower you to go beyond so it sounds like I'm bragging here today are not bad.

Tell you now or do I enjoy football games do I enjoy life and getting out there and doing stuff with the greatest exuberance of anybody so you will look at me and say look at him hooping and yelling and hollering and screaming.

I do all of that and I'm good.

I do all of it and I love it and I didn't face the dinner tonight. I enjoy the games and the I love family and going doing this and being together.

I want I want gone constantly to give me even more exuberance when it comes to this wonderful good news.

I want God to I want God to make me just as enthusiastic just as willing just as excited justice convicted. We may express it all in different ways.

I'm not trying to reduce this to mannerisms. Whether we do stand this sort term.

This it's it's a quality of the heart and for you and me to go beyond to tell the story that we go to do. That's what it means when we sing our love to tell the story of unseen things above, I love I just I love to tell the story. I'm praying that when I say to you I love to tell the story.
