You and just teaching people the old myth went to mass fidelity because you're coming with, not because you feel like it and I'm telling you for teaching people how to push how they feel and what they think and it came to pass, when the time was come that Jesus should be received up, he steadfastly set his face to go to Jerusalem hello and welcome to Destin for victory with pastor Paul Sheppard. Jesus knew he would be tortured and crucified in Jerusalem, but he was committed to doing what God called him to do so.

He set aside his feelings and submitted faithfully to the will of his father. Today will be encouraged to follow in his steps. You can also subscribe to our podcast a Google podcast that I heart or wherever you enjoy your part right now is Pastor Paul today suggested for victory message. We are in Army back to you by now, you just teaching people to mess you do it because you're coming not because you feel like it for teaching people how to push how they feel and what they think a lot of us, we are bound by those two elements. Well here's how I feel. Well, here's what I think that's why my pastoral career. People say such wonderful success of the different times in your career you use subject to a business meeting. Thanks and how everybody will get something he's given you must submit to. Here's one thing that informational meetings when I had to build building raise many of the dollars join you in that you can't just expect them to do that sight unseen. So we business meeting for relational purposes you get on your wall what you can do is calm and the microphone what you think and how you feel because we can and we have to move on. Discipline on mass on fidelity on okay let's get that done challenge. I know you will be balls in today's world, but teach your children that there some stuff you do, you don't have to. You just don't remember back when there was you were a child and that therefore you shall not because you felt like doing chores because chores needed when you needed to learn the principle of the fullness of discipline. They use the type of stuff. I remember Saturday mornings when my brother and I would want to go out with my friends. We want to go to a game that we want to play a game at the at the playground or whatever we want to get up and my mother would do on Saturday she saw me and you better get up and get your job done.

Mornings and my father liked about big houses and I remember my particular set of the clean living room and got a clean and when they said clean the living room and pick up a few papers off of things and put them together in a nice little neat stack.

Remember, if you claim that you handle that meant you had some will simply call somebody you and you will and you have your own cleaner and check make sure the bag was nice and clean and dump all the old stuff that we go put some flesh stuff in there and you baseboards come on base more people you got the claimant baseball.

You can just clean up these scrubbing you feel you don't you know you better get that back before you go and I'm in there back in the day some help.

I will talk about the importance of health. That's why when you get to help you help Michael Jackson would help me God use some 545 and see pictures of, and we sold a call to like you never saw a console back in the day console because only the middle was right in the middle of the different durations was right in the middle with the turntable and that's where I would go get my stack of 45. Back in those days you would get 45 you had to get this to put in their best to keep it even and we you all you do is on the top and it would hold it in your brain, and it would place you push the button and it would drop the record on all and drop morning and Michael started helping me how easy love can be made be all for someday you'll be all alone, just help me learn how to magical girls and what have you, so you we were being taught fullness principles that would bless us later in life you doing so don't feel like it all well do it. Not feeling like it but keep going and if you wanted to go out what you did. First my parents all heads help me out was tied to you successfully doing your chores if you didn't do your children, you didn't get points heard from her. When the modern experts say oh that's not a good idea because you're teaching the children that they have to have a works orientation and you need to show them love that about you if you will love them, give them the money is conventional somebody that I love you love you when you write love you when you won't. That's unconditional is teaching us later on you will need a job and then I given you a check when you didn't feel like coming to one coming up next.

We are in harmony. I'm trying to help somebody with this principle of faithfulness we can do it because you are being developed to grow as we were growing up.

When you really that this is why I got two soldiers don't help me out and help me. I discussed a couple of questions and then my sister over his income.

Help me out as well want to move there so we can get to you quicker come on, you got me only appear for this is your first name. Please person is all right, but felt and what branch of the armed services were UN, the U.S. Army US Army any reason why you have for your service to give a reason why you chose that branch. Well, I chose to drafted. Thank you. I'm glad I came up because in the first service I interviewed two other soldiers in the church and I was hoping to find somebody who was directed both of them enlisted. Thank you.

I needed a draftee up in here. And God knew I needed when you know because you don't have to be shawls and in some cases times you are the right you have the right physical or you are in and so they chose Army for you was that experience like if you went to bouquet well I learned discipline when the principal you just talk about that wasn't about my feelings. How you do what I had to do to survive.

Just so and so, as you developed this plan. What was it like as you train together and as you were strengthening together what were some of the things that you were physically required to do that had not do with your feelings. We had to make certain we did what we were instructed to do and then we helped out our fellow soldiers, so we were visiting learn teamwork you helped out your fellows body needed help and everyone helped one another.

How strong were you by the end of boot camp versus when you first began that process run farther than you could when you first started I had more endurance you have more in glad I gained a little weight because I was skinny. All right, so there is some meat on the bones for you okay very good. We see some of these movies and we were never in the Armed Forces. We see some the movie sometimes and folks are saying and while they're doing these runs that you have to do anything like that. We have a chance chance we had to learn to keep in step two. Pace of the running, while I had to do with the pace of the run so those chance had to do with your pace and you chanted as you ran at the right place. Remember this.

Just curious if you are dancing okay so I'm not we had we had to chant instant in time with the chance that I Sgt. a drill sergeant or no was standing and we had repeat what he said okay and he would. I was often the call and response. Okay and he would call and we would respond into with the step yes 12 sound often read at the sound go. I don't remember us already in the words what we did it we get the chance had to do with the pace and you had to keep faith in order to learn together strong together and you help each other out you going to do your part and sit around and chill out. Absolutely what our unit past or our platoon past depending on what we will when I we did it together as a unit while you pass together or you failed to get there was no well he passed was she didn't have stuff. Okay, that's helpful. That's helpful. Thank you so much all right on your first name Jessica Jessica okay what part of the armed services. I need in the Navy. How did that come come about as far as how was that well is a great experience. I was actually UCLA's midshipman right after high school and actually found my father's footsteps using the Korean War and when daily UCLA and again he was Sgt. was there I joined colorguard because I wasn't passing my classes so I need to stain something to protect me from feeling self attention California flag I lock my knees and I remember that we started looking over at me and said Macklin more meaning. So why is it that you are here just want to join the Navy. I just wanted you need. I don't want to be in this particular situation and my dad had a goal for me. Say think you have to be courageous. Tell your dad when you want an elevator in 19 years old until I got one elite college and joined the Navy and so he wasn't surprised at all and 20 and eight I think I was 14 years old when I knew I want while well now so tell me what boot camp was like camp because I was a midshipman in college which is a lot harder so is already mentally prepared family will hit where he woke up every Saturday morning chores accountability so I was already so I enjoyed the flock I enjoyed that leadership. I enjoyed working as one unit and out of 84 women you actually write one family fail, so we are always pushing better, sharper, why, when one thing we all fail now what about those mornings on waking up early. There were folks you ladies.

He didn't want to. They were sad they were crying and we knew that before our payoffs are our chief would show up that morning. We all had to stand attention. We could have added to sell we just do our very best to get through it while agree to disagree. So how to get the ones who were hurt and in their missing home. Instead of how to get them to dry up and have a good attitude.

You know, I can't remember how we did it but he just we just kind of came together, supporting one another and encourage each other while fantastic final question I've heard of a wall.

I've heard of that that tell me a little bit about I know what it stands for list tell them what it stands for. And did you see anybody who would not be what it was supposed to be when it was no but a wall is where you don't report to the area which he should be you runaway okay and I know I have never witnessed that there was a bit of fear factor in accountability is also you are unit and you know that if you leave for you dessert that unit is likely to contain away while I'm still out.

That's very helpful. This will help me from one more try.

Now let me make sure you know what it will mean absent without leave Absalom supposedly somewhere. I am not and wasn't given leave. I just didn't show up sound like church folk you we are God's Army. We have to learn that this is part calling should be no ministry teams in any church that are understaffed people, but don't show up balls agreed today but nobody is great because I didn't show up nobodies ocean today because I'm more simple: there are cursors and no all day didn't feel like going to church case saying they are all ministry teams understand all over the world right now you got a big bowl to associate Pastor my dad in 19 senior pastor since 19 seem to many people just to properly come into the church. I want to be a member and we haven't give us information about who we are and so glad to have your welcome whatever when things are the way they like it or whatever, disagree with this. I doubt this was a pastor just stopped coming. Ministry team know that not all yet another church leave out the back door. Okay I'm done all Jesus was fully God, but also fully human. As he prayed in the garden of Gethsemane did not feel like being rejected, beaten and crucified.

But thanks be to God. He chose faithfulness over feelings and by the power of the Holy Spirit. You can do the same and someone 07. King David writes then they cried out to the Lord in their trouble, and he delivered them from their distress that in mind if you need prayer today.
