It is profoundly important that we understand God's will as it relates to sewing generously. So much of what God wants to do in your life is going to hands on how you will obey him in the matter of sewing generously or something every believer in Christ should remember God doesn't ask you to give because he needs anything he ask you to give because he wants to give back to bless you exceedingly abundantly beyond all you can ask or think. Hello and welcome to this Thursday. The addition of Destin for victory with pastor Paul Shepherd, senior pastor, destiny Christian Fellowship in Fremont, California. So much for joining us.

It was easy to be skeptical when the church asks for money but the truth is, the church isn't asking God is today's message is straightahead. But remember, you can stop by Pastor Paul.net any time to hear recent Destin for Victor messages on demand. That's Pastor Paul.net you can also subscribe to the podcasting Google podcast I heart or wherever you get yours now is Pastor Paul. Today's Destin for Victor message money matters. So we lost in the first message of the series.

We talked about the fact that money matters continue that in this message. Money matters. It matters to God.

What we do with his resources, so I want to say as we continue moving through this series if you will open your heart to God. This isn't just Pastor Paul telling you what he thinks about what you all to do with money, time, and abilities. This is God speaking to us through his word and we will obey God. We will get blessings associated with that obedience now in the opening message we established that money matters to God that were stored so what belongs to him and that is excellent stewards of our money.

Therefore, things we should do. The first is to so generously grasping the entire message covering that one aspect of money management to so generously. If you missed that message, you will want to get it on CD. It is profoundly important that we understand God's will as it relates to sewing generously. So much of what God wants to do in your life is going to hinge on how you will obey him in the matter of sewing generously, then I want to cover three more in this message. Not only must we so generously, but we should strike that systematically save regularly and spend wisely solicitous get to the first one shrink that systematically I will ask you to raise your hand but I want you to own it in your heart if you have consumer debt. I'm not talking about the mortgage or on the whole, you are buying. If you are a homeowner buying them a property that you live in. And it's not fully paid for. I'm not considering that consumer debt because that's actually an appreciating asset you're getting the benefit of it by living in it and it should be. As the economy continues to improve and I pray that that that will continue to happen. It is an appreciating asset. So let's put that aside, not including the home you're buying then living in. There are those of us who have consumer debt credit card debt unpaid. Various types of loans again, not a mortgage.

This is that that if we want to honor God with his resources of finances. We want to get rid of that that I'm going to prove it from the word it matters to God. Not only that you so generously it matters to God that you shrink that systematically four points I want to make in this business of shrinking debt. Here's the first in a very real sense that is a form of slavery and God wants us to be free.

Jot that down if you're making notes that it is a form of slavery and God wants us to be free. Proverbs 22 seven says the rich over the poor, and the borrower is servant to the lender that I want you to think about it if you all. Somebody money if you owe some company money. If you all some school money if you all anybody money in a very real sense you are enslaved because you're not free to do with your money.

The money that comes in your hands what you want.

Some of it is already committed to somebody else that's a form of slavery. The Bible here says the rich rules over the poor, the borrower is servant to the lender. You're not free to just do whatever you want without consequence. I realized some of y'all before you came to a Bible teaching church you said all forget about it.

I have I had it I give it to him and I don't have is there just be all right. And now that you're in a Bible teaching church seeking to please God, you realize that God is not honored by that you can do that if you before this method is why this one coming to you. God is not honored by that. He wants you to live up to the obligation you made and so you can just blow all loans you can just blow off that credit card and fellow micro is not great anyway so forget about it okay just stop answering the phone when they try to call you while you go to changes in the first place because your slave running from your master slave running from your master back in the old days sometime. Some companies will send somebody do you have them do it anymore. Now they try to get a full shot but back in the old days, I used to be a debt collector for long period of time. I work for finance company and I work mainly in the office calling people and reminding them about that that we had received the payment because they hadn't forgotten and I didn't visit back in the early days and the late 70s. What have you. And I remember it is one time where the manager of my branch tried to get me to go out to somebody's house to collect money. I called the man I said listen, my manager really wants to get a payment herein, and so he wants me to come out and collected. What time would be good for me to come visit you not coming to my house as it will serve.

It's not me personally there's nothing personal you will the company money and so they like to get a payment and he said you're not coming to my house. He said I promise you if you let your manager send you to my house.

I promise this happen. The man said to me if you come on my porch. I will blow you into the street. My shotgun is right by my door and I will blow your asses I said Sir not only won't be on your porch.

Not only don't you door about me on your porch, you will never see my face. People don't pay me enough money to put my life I was single at the time as I want to get married one day children one day. I want to live a long and prosperous life.

So you won't see me until my manager.

He promised to blow me into the street to his house. So if you really payment herein is his address. I promise you is what I did one will happen. My mom raise no fool stay with us the second half of Pastor Paul Shepard's message is coming right up. You can get online safely from our website. Pastor Paul.net or give us a call at 855-339-5500 again the number is 855-339-5500 Proverbs 22 verse seven says the borrower becomes the lender slave. God wants to deliver you from slavery today is Pastor Paul and the rest of today's message. Money matters debt collectors. If you are refusing to make payments. You will always slave and God says that is not my plan for your life. This is about pleasing God is not about doing what you think is about pleasing God. Stewardship means we want to give a good answer to the owner and so in a very real sense that is a form of slavery need you to get that if you're carrying a balance on your credit card.

I need you to get that renew your mind, because the plan is Lord help me to take this down to zero and then help me to never again create new debt.

Consumer debt unnecessary debt that is God's plan. He wants you out of slavery. If you're carrying credit card balances. If you have unpaid loans. You are a slave you're just like Israel living in Egypt, you are a slave you got a feral that you have to answer to such a point under shrinking debt systematically is this only one that should be outstanding and that's the debt of love.

When you get where you're going in the will of God, where money management is concerned, you are holding no one anything except love.

That's the plan. Now we are to get their first internal get rid of all consumer debt then eventually left believe God to get rid of our mortgages. Every man is a list believe God for that.

We're not there yet but let's believe God for that. But you don't even start on that road until you get rid of your slave masters don't have one that hears what Romans 13 verses seven and eight says approved all of this by the word.

Give everyone what you owe him. If you owe taxes, pay taxes, pause right there shouldn't be a Christian tax dodger why because the word just told you you should if you all. Was he not see that the problems the believe I heard you when I've made the statement hired Isaac Bassett as well you understand. I believe it if you will taxes pay taxes on the go forward you will live those. We bridge this to you about three in the morning because you submit right now. Five wake you up if you will revenue, then revenue you have a business somebody work for you and you and Pam you all what you what I didn't do the job right bindle for the next job, but this one this is tight but is right not honoring God like the way you think about the way I want us to God, Pam, and don't give a good reference on yelp now you like the job and you didn't like the way that is on the loan review.

Now you have all these websites were focal trying to figure out whether the said it put me on a regular room. They were rude to me what going and speak the truth but pay as you go if you will, taxes, pay taxes, revenue pay revenue if you will respect them respect if, then, once the Bible told us to do.

Don't know anybody anything you haven't paid you a letter. Let me pause long enough to remind you in this world of such political hatred. This does not God.

I can't stand the idea of people claiming to be Bible Christian hating another party. You cannot got that way you can dislike their policies, but you have to give respect to the White House – a president job and my brother. Yes, it is according to the word and you will and you will respect this message is both sides so you're the person you want will be in the office then you be holiday man when I make a point like this. But when some of you don't like giving all the is a reflection on you. You need to go so I guess the majority because at the end of the day were called to worship God through obedience and he said if you will somebody respect, honor than you give it to then verse eight of Romans 13 says let no debt remain outstanding, except the continuing debt to love one another, for he who loves his fellow man has fulfilled the law so got only one to have one outstanding debt, one that never gets fully paid and that's the debt of love, all the rest of them ought to get paid off. To receive the truth and then you can receive God's provision so you can live the truth. Don't fight truth.

Say amen to it. Third point under this shrinking debt is unwise to cosign for someone else's financial obligations. Why doesn't help their allies to cosign for someone else's financial obligations. Proverbs 1115 he who puts up surety for another will shortly suffer, but whoever refuses to strike hands in pledge is safe. What you want to do.

Be safe or suffer if you want to be safe. The word says here don't cosign then you will live in safety.

It says if you cosign you will suffer now.

Proverbs is a book written by a man of wisdom Solomon and it is full of what we in theological circles called truisms. These are the general rules by which God wants us to live is not that there are exceptions to them. They are truisms generally speaking, this is what is true. That's what the Bible is telling us that all but one help my son and it really got him to tiny baby all my money back and took me on the crew and I find that's great glad for your son mean Proverbs 1115 isn't true for most people. Most of the time and Solomon was the wisest man besides Jesus walked the face of the earth, said if you want to live in safety, but they really IME. God shall supply their every need. If they trust him and obey him. You might need. But you don't need me, you need God you need help and he is our helper, so it's just warning you. If you do it. Don't ever do it. Just saying if plan also suffering. You know as well as I do that when you take all somebody else's financial obligation and some cases not all hear me clearly so I don't get a bunch of dumb emails. In some cases the reason they need your help in the place is because they barely are responsible. I'm glad I got that much help cases the person is new to credit and what have you to come along does better ways to do that even that's another message is better ways to do that but you know as well as I do some of the folks who need you to cosign is because their credit score is woeful and that is they are doing so now you take your strength to bolster their weakness and once that crisis is gone away. They go back to living in weakness and now your strength is compromised. This is good this is good get mad if you want to trip and find fine, but I'm on a safe trip you want to suffering trip. That's all I'm saying.

So it's unwise. Bible said it's unwise to do that and you know how would it have you ever let somebody money and before too long. They were treating you funny. I'm still trying to figure out how that works. You came to me in desperation came to me all if you could if you could just what I hope you all well. Thank you so much and then next thing I know when you give me back because you are the terms upon which was soon as I found my return. So the check you will have no money you just know you got a new so no money once the matter with this fixture be great in the soup about when people money gets bigger that grand harder to do a mind trick on you and make you think everything is wonderful between us all.

You any money. What's the matter with Sue is just green you doing to give it a big hug telling you what I think of what happened to me time and time again before that I was appalled.

We supposedly talk about how generous God has made you beyond what you get to the kingdom.

True, give her 12 my wife, give her 12 feet to people we help so many.

We got one help people if you really believe support your relationship with them and you'll keep it intact. If you make them alone is our going end up in enemy because now I feel made a fool of the play when I see you come to know if you take this word to bless your life. I promise you it will honoring God with our tithes and offerings isn't always easy. It takes faith, sometimes more faith than we think possible. But here's God's promise to you today for Malachi 310 bring the full tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house and thereby put me to the test, says the Lord of hosts, if I will not open the windows of heaven for you and pour down for you a blessing until there is no more need. If you are struggling in your faith today.
