The moment you walk, for you to join the game you want is not a matter what happens during the course of this life you walking on the field you are a winner but not when you lose because God called you to more than just management. Welcome to cross the bridge with dignity is the senior pastor of the bridge in Kernersville, North Carolina. An amazing fact of Scripture is that God uses this simple minimum women who desire to follow him to reach others with the amazing gospel. Stay tuned as dignity continues to teach in the book of Romans chapter 1, but before we get into today's teaching. Every marriage needs course corrections from time to time.

Some how do we make sure our marriages stay on track struggles and pressures of life. Find out how it pastor David's new series in the slow our gift to thank you for your donation to help cross the bridge broadcast on this and other stations helping more people cross the bridge from death to life across the bridge.com now to request a copy of in the.

Again, that website is cross the bridge.com. Now here's the part to his teaching are the call later Romans chapter 1 verse five says, through him, X Jesus through him we have received grace and apostleship, for obedience to the faith among all nations for his name. So what is this thing called grace. We know it's a woman's name. We we know when we pray over food recall it. Grace well grace give something to remember it by grace is God's riches at Christ expense God's riches at Christ expense planning, but we can experience God's forgiveness. The richness of his forgiveness this morning.

Why can we experience that because Jesus Christ paid for. We can experience joy freely. How can we experience that because Jesus paid for. For God's blessing and grace through what Jesus suffered and went through. He paid for us to be able to receive these things. Grace is the on favor of God the unearned or unmerited favor that you don't earn grace. There's nothing that you can do to earn grace. Grace is given.

Verse six Paul continues among whom you also are the called of Jesus Christ and read some to all who are in Rome, beloved of God, called to be saints, grace to you and peace from God our father and the Lord Jesus Christ. The called in verse six among you also are the call. Now there's a word that needs some defining because we feel like the called or just a small segment of the population actually called we are all called that word we talked about this last week called means invited the Lord has invited you on this adventure. At some point in your Christian walk and follow Jesus you're going to be discontent would just sit in the bleachers afraid I gotta be honest.

If this is your church. I will make sure I am committed. If it takes me stirring you.

I'm committed to doing. I love you that much because at some point you gotta leave the bleachers and get into the game. Christianity is not a spectator sport was never intended to be. When Jesus sees people coming in is not sand well done, thou good and faithful spectator nice as well done good and faithful servant.

But here's the great thing. The moment you walk on the field to join the gang you want your flight, it's not a matter what happens during the course of this life you have by walking on the field you are a winner by not when you lose because God called you to more than just being a spectator. And what about Jesus said these things, it just so strength he said you know it. If you want to know what life is all about. Give your life but if you try to hold onto it you lose it ghostly or hands like shifting sands goes in verse seven uses and phrases that are interesting to all who are in room beloved of God, called to be saints, grace to you and peace from God our father or Jesus Christ what you notice something when it says God called to be saints if you're in the King James and read from the new King James thinking NLT as well to be is in italics now when you see something in the Bible that's in italics. What that means is it's not in the original language in a for the Greeks different than English and and the Hebrew Old Testament is a precursor to differing sometimes I have to put these words in their service connectors they let you know that that's out why Massena because the phrase actually in the Greek, there is called site called saints called to be saints called saints. The understanding never called to be saints says all we are called to be something called saints says you are so important difference was that she need understand good life was near.

You are a saint you are a saint. If you have come to Jesus asking him to forgive you of your sin, your essay your site cool is that St. David, like that is wrong to put your name in there because according to the Bible when you come to him your you're a saint your holy and spotless Lord.

He looks at you. It doesn't seem sin. He sees you covered by the blood of Jesus Christ and his other cleats owes the called.

We talked about that invited called St. invited St. and then as beloved beloved prayers from God explain that word love is we use the word love in some weird ways sense of I love pizza in her. I love food and understand have said those things, but you really love pizza. I mean do you really are you willing to lay down your life.

Well that's probably not a good some of your will to lay down your do you have the like an emotional experience with economic you have a relationship with pizza. Hopefully not contrary to the Pizza Hut Domino you have a relationship with pieces that you make love eating pizza but is not like a love relationship with other people less understand this.

This is even above that love relationship with people who use the word love and sometimes a look at what a loving 11 was it really love to begin with and we use things like I don't feel love for you is not feeling the commitment snack of the will and but in this work, A gotta say no I love you unconditionally.

I love you when you're in church. I love you when you're out of church. I love you when all time.

As a matter fact and Jeremiah chapter 31 verse three. This is the Lord has appeared of old to me St. yes I have loved you with an everlasting love.

Therefore, lovingkindness on drone life lesson here. You are loved. You are loved your love by the people here love you guys more internally that lotion and he doesn't loving the split beloved easily get to market well, you still love you feeling John 316 says for God so love the world, not just love the world so somebody can say to you know I love you and that's meaningful once my says so. Love you beyond that how we know Jesus loves us.

John 1513 greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one's life for his friends.

Jesus showed that prove that this would call disinvited is that everybody is everybody you come to the Lord the called yearly invited interesting because once we define these words.

Then the Bible begins to open up even deeper to us and here's what I mean by that. Now that we know call disinvited. We've been called to be saints and we are love. Look at Romans chapter 8 verse 28 inches and we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called invited, according to his purpose. For God knows people in advance and he chose them to become like a son so the sun would be the firstborn of many brothers and sisters and having chosen them. He called them the conduit and he gave them right standing with himself and he promised them his glory.

We loved the people and category slowly. Even Christianity follow Jesus you ever go out anything as my saying you believe every truck structure of Christian colleges. That's awesome what denomination it's almost like always a second question comes, you know what, that's a little weird because you have to talk probably more now that you know people are asking, what can we argue about what church you from sometimes unintentionally just said Christian discretion discretion. What denomination description early winter denomination. I belong to Jesus and they something they get upset will that it becomes very apparent you were trying to argue with me yet another term we can study the other day. Survey had listed in the survey.

Christians and born-again Christians should sound out you can't be a Christian if you're not morning. There is only born-again Christians and non-Christians because Jesus the one who started the whole Christianity thing said you gotta be born again so really, the whole world is to people groups if you will, there's the saints and and people who are don't believe in Jesus J. Vernon McGee says the saints and the Yanks. But now, before you go I'll see were saints and then there's everybody else, different lower level.

What incredible axis kindness stuff to the universe. Did you have to do to earn a saint so short simple prayer must remember that when you look at people because I am generous and we look at people are following Jesus and we talk about what they do not learn acting like Jesus are not following Jesus claim an apology is better. Thing is a look at the mirror were claiming to follow Jesus are we looking acting sound and Karen my Jesus this phrase in verse seven, Scott Anderson, Grace to you and peace from God's grace we talked about the work Greek word is cherished cherished CHA IRS. It was also Greek greeting you would say grace to people when he saw grace, grace to peace is from the war show all else more than peace pieces. We thing a pieces absence of war. Charm is much more than shalom is yes, absence of war, but also prosperity, blessing, wholeness, health, all that shalom. Paul joins these together charity and grace grace and peace chess shalom.

You might've noticed that the interservice essay the erotic benediction and also at the very end of the grace of feasting what I say that what Paul said what I say in that order. Well, one of the reasons Paul said it network, but seekers and think you can have peace without grace. You cannot have peace without grace. If you're looking for peace. You're not going to find until you come to a real knowledge and understanding of grace. Once you really understand grace, you will be sliding with the peace that passes all understanding. Interesting how Paul ties these together and move them together another week with the life lesson here is you can have real and lasting peace from God and peace with God. It amazes me when tardy people back to Santa Fe Cerrado sale Christianity else feel about as relevant in this crazy frenzy world that so lacks peace. You can't see what this book and God has to do with those things. Peace is important something that's allusive you were listening to Pastor David McGee only crossed the bridge to be back with more in just a moment, God desires to reveal himself to the world and the Bible teaches that marriage is supposed to be a picture of God's love to others.

So were there with you, helping you with the presentation helping you with the prayer. Now back to today's teaching per se. First I thank my God through Jesus Christ for you all, and that your faith is spoken of throughout the whole world is also verse that your faith is spoken of throughout the work. It's also been traveling in and do missionary work and stuff. Talking to people and are familiar with what God is doing in this way/another day that they travel around and invite people to church talked about the work and every day thereafter, Sharon, somebody is familiar with the church on her about the people here about you guys and what God is doing. Look at this that I thank my God through Jesus Christ for you all did he say someone nice it for you all know it all means in the Greek means all interesting thing that happens in other certain people that you really get along with a new look for the sin Anderson people you know me this morning if you've been here before you got all I really like it and says there's a tiger and man and I see all areas.

Be thankful for. Everybody is in. I believe I am so blessed. I'm amazed sometimes when I'm out here teaching them single things that are there, people often have people come back in the blast and are growing in the Lord I'm so thankful for each and every person that's in your sometimes a pastor. So how large is the church. How many people work on frequently. My answer is more than I deserve, and plenty enough to be accountable for some grateful for each and every person is here. Are you grateful for each and every person understand some of you don't get along with some of the other. But here's what's awesome you understand the person that you don't get along with in this place is doing more for you to grow as a Christian than the people you get along because when you see someone you will you think that your Holy Spirit know that your carnal side or fleshly side that your selfish nature coming out got sent who need to do and that gets stirred up says give thanks. Are you thankful all goes even further in first Thessalonians 518. He says in everything give thanks, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you in anything give thanks for your challenge for your challenge. Listen everything give thanks. So if you lose your job if things so many sick give thanks to some I start give thanks to music and talk to. This is what were supposed to be giving thanks in all things you complain about your job was the opposite of being thankful complaint.

You can complain and be thankful the same time you complain about your job. Are you thankful you have think about the people don't have to grateful you complain about your children relief. We have complain about your house regretfully you have one complain about the car grateful you have a car, be thankful you can't be complaining and thankful at the same time. You understand that in the Bible talks about the fruit of your lips, and interesting concept of you think about, so if you're complainant that's bad.

Fruits hold fruit never spoke fruit really. It's fast ever put fruit in your fridge and you put in that shuffling and you leave for a little while and then you come back especially travel and you come back and you opening all my cousins and Perry mutant monster in my crisper shelf telling them that what it used to be. Maybe a coconut. That's what complaining you can be thankful this is a challenge. Next 24 hours.

Don't complaint don't complaint.

This is a challenge if your spouse or your child or your parents are certainly you hold each other accountable and not complaining. Let me assure you everybody in your complaint more than you think you do and what can happen over the next 24 to go to complainant :-) love using say pay an interesting last time I did this, what backstage and northerly like this and she said well it was too cold and Narron employee went long. Today I thought what you've done all of four minutes before you glue that so when you're complainant your fruits things now.

This is a weird dog would go with me will close in mid willing to be interesting if every time you complain everybody could smell that fruit and then when you starting point people to have human complaining are you walking a group and it's like somebody complaining here because see here's the thing. Here's what complaining is contagious and contagious. You can walk into a group that is content are happy but you let somebody come and theirs are complainant will why I didn't think about that. I like materials being thankful is contagious as well that if there's a group of work to sit around complaining about the job and you walk in you know, I'm just thankful we all have work as I got a friend he got laid off and you not know what is. I'm just so thankful that we can be so thankful that we have jobs and the people around you go while putting think and grateful you get to choose being thankful being complainant talked about grace the Lord is willing to give you grace is only give you peace and he shown us in such a graphic way.

See this great thing unmerited favor under Lord wants to forgive you and all that he requires is that you come to him and ask him to forget. So there some people in here that you thought about my life straightened out. Once I get my life right now. Come to God.

That's not what the Bible says about us. As you come to God. Anybody. Jesus repeatedly said whoever will come, in Romans 1013 says whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved in the Gospels. He tells us that anybody comes me I'm not turn away differently you come to Jesus you have to come, easy go. I hope he does this. I hope you forgive me friend the day I came to Jesus. That's the way I came to you know this forgiveness thing sounds too good to be true. I'm done too many things to all probably doesn't apply to me but I'm willing deceiver does when asking the forgive me and I fully expected when I prayed that prayer for God was can say you know what it's for some it's not for you. But the Bible says were sin abounded, grace did much more about. There's no sin that you can do and commit the God cannot forgive other than the rejection of his son CV reject Jesus friend you cannot know forgiveness, I would encourage there's nothing you can do to earn it but to come to, and in this moment he's calling you, inviting to him because election because he needs something from you and want you to do something, he just loves it says come to me on time for yourself when you come to him and you begin. Understand that grace there something about understanding that great. She want to begin the following you want to begin the servant you want to begin the tell other people because you understand grace is a change who you are and then come to me says come to me and I'll change who you are. Friend, you know for sure that your sins have been forgiven.

You can know right now Legion a short simple prayer simply telling God you're sorry and asking him to help you to live for him. Please pray this prayer with me out loud right now. Dear Jesus, I believe you died for me that I could be forgiven and I believe you were raised from the dead that I can have a new life not done wrong things I have sent and I'm sorry. Please forgive me of all those things. Please give me the power to live for you. All of my days in Jesus name, amen friend of you prayed that prayer according to the Bible.
