We encourage you to visit, cross the bridge.com to study the Scriptures along with Pastor David. But right now open your Bible to the Old Testament book of Job and follow along for today's teaching in this series of special weekend edition programs. Pastor David has been teaching practical lessons from the life of Joe Job is one of the oldest books in the Bible we are finding out that what needed to be learned.

Back then, still needs to be learned by us today as we continue studying chapters 13 and 14 and now here's Pastor Dave. This is such a awesome section of Scripture to be into tonight in the book of Joe and the timing of it is just so interesting. Your first thought can figure out what is really about and also how we can learn from it because their CT thinks every line of times can learn tonight from the book of Job, so that when we walk out of here.

We walk out differently than when we came in. Let's pray and must jump into this awesome awesome book in the word of God, Lord, thank you, thank you for our time together.

Lori, thank you for this place.

Thank you for the legacy that we spoke of on Sunday the tonight we need in a place that learned so many joined together worked hard and gazing Lord, and you moved and provided in the last two that the be in here tonight, learning about you so we can have the signal going out online for people to listen to and to see all your provision all your blessing. Thank you for that and each person that/Danny has an incredible opportunity in front of him tonight. Lord I ask that they would let go of the problems. Let go of the issues they would grab a hold as you are Lord tonight to the power of your Holy Spirit. We ask that you would do that deep work those things Lord, that we can't do the things that man cannot do those people. Maybe I should hear less than online list of radio. However, there are some issues from the past and they said I can't do anything in man is that I can't fix this and maybe even psychiatrist and psychologist are so I can't do anything about that. But God where man throws up his hands and says I don't know what to do God you intervene, you intercede were told over and over in the Scripture, but God, for thank you thank you that even now you're at work.

Even now, learn from those struggling with a physical issue which, thank you God that you make provision for their healing that Lord, you tell us the Tiger stripes we are healed and subordinate that healing begin right now. And Lord, whether it manifests tonight are manifest when they go to be in the presence of the Lord God. We know they will be healed. We know each and every one of us will be healed.

Lord, we thank you for your were just quick and powerful, and sharper than a two digit sword and Lord. It will accomplish that which it was soon forced to do and not to ignite your sin and forth your work for your purposes in our lives to God, we thank you for what you're going to do.

Lord we ask that you would open our hearts to your word and open your word to our hearts in Jesus name.

Everybody said amen, amen. Turn with me to the book of Job scooted chapter 13 and if you don't have a Bible and you'd like to read along with us just raise your hand.

One of these ushers will bring you a Bible to read along with and were going to call tonight. Teaching this too shall pass somewhere. Job 13 and Job 14 Job chapter 13 verse one says behold, I have seen all this, my ear has heard and understood it. What you know. Also, I am not inferior to you, but I would speak to the Almighty, and I desire to reason with God, but you mergers of Linux you are all worthless physicians.

Oh that you would be signed. Oh, it would be your wisdom. Now, hear my reasoning and hear the pleading of my lips. When you speak wickedly for God and talk deceitfully program where you show partiality for what you contend for God will be well when he searches you out or can you mock him as one mocks the lien he will surely rebuke you if you secretly show partiality will not his excellence make you afraid and the dread of him fall upon you. Your platitudes are proverbs of ashes, your defenses are defenses of clay. Hold your peace with me and let me speak, then let come on me what may. Why do I take my flesh in my teeth and put my life in my hands and here's a huge huge verse one of the key verses in the whole book of Joe in chapter 13 verse 15 though he slay me, yet will I trust. I want you to notice when you're reading through the Bible and reading through this chapter in particular to look at the pronouns which are if you remember from school, person, place or thing I could remember the little song was sung, song that went with the pronouncement. The only thing I could hear in my head was conjunction junction and was you're either relating with me right now very concerned one of so the pronouns person place or thing, and for Bible study. Tax what you want to notice is the ones that are capitalized. So if you come to the word Kim in the capital H start about the Lord. If you come to the word he as we see in verse 15. Here, in that H is capital start about the Lord. Though he slay me, yet will I trust, praise God. It's only the Lord were supposed to extend this, trust to amen don't extend that the people though they slay me.

I'll trust. We do need to be aware and speaking of Jesus, and Jesus was aware of what was in people and in certain places didn't do miracles because what was going on though he slay me, yet will I trust I think is all examples of trusting him that I see in my life. What a joy here to get trust God in this ministry. A man's work begin reading through Sue will continue to return verse 15 though he slay me, yet will I trust him. Even so, I will defend my own ways before him H in verse 16 he knows the H should pick him up, he also shall be my salvation for hypocrite could not come before him. Listen carefully to my speech into my declaration with your ears see how I prepared my case no that I shall be vindicated. Who is he who will contend with me if now hold my tongue a parish only two things did not then I will not have myself from you withdraw your hand, not far from me, and let not the dread of you make me afraid. Then call and I will answer or let me speak then you respond to me how many are my iniquities and sins. Thank me know my transgression and my son. Why do you hide your face and regard me is your enemy. Will you frighten the leaf driven to and fro, will you pursue drafts double for you write bitter things against me in making inherent the iniquities of my youth. That's a scary Lord) verse 26 for you write bitter things against me and make me inherit the iniquities of my use. Make me inherent in the countries of my I like Isaiah chapter 1, let us reason together some slight start of the ship. He was like a slow amen really is it's it's up to us what happens with or in equity. Now verse 27. You put my feet in the stocks and watch closely all my past you set a limit for the soles of my feet man decays like a rotten thing, like a garment that is moth-eaten and chapter 14 verse one man who was born of woman is a few days and full of trouble is another key verse in the book of Joe is chapter 14 verse one man who is born of woman is a few days and full of trouble really come back and hit some of these key verses I can do an overview here, but was continued. He calms forth like a flower and fades away. He flees like a shadow and does not continue.

And do you open your eyes on such a one and bring me to judgment with yourself, who can bring a clean thing out of an unclean. That's a good question.

Who can bring a clean thing out of an unclean who can do that only know one person and that job in verse four versus no one because he doesn't know what one that can do that yet. He has gotten out of of one who can bring a clean thing out of an unclean thing Job doesn't know anyone who can do slices.

No one here so let's get this real quick.

He asked the question who can bring a clean thing out of an unclean any questions and says no one but is that the right answer now, but it's in the Bible you but it's Joe answering the question from a lack of wisdom and it says that God's people do what was invited parish parish Nyquist who can bring a clean thing out of an unclean.

I know somebody. Amen. Jesus can do that God can do that the Holy Spirit does that since his days are determined, the number of his months is with you and again the notice and let the pronouns the capitals so helpful to notice that some adjudicators file since his days are determined, the number of his months is with you.

You have appointed his limits, so that he cannot pass. Look away from him that he may rest like a hard man he finishes his day, for there is hope for a tree, if it is cutdown that it will sprout again, and that its tender shoots will not cease. Though its root may grow old in the earth and its stump may die in the ground, yet at the scent of water it will buy and bring forth branches like a plant. I just happen to be thinking this description in the ark of the covenant, and I know that you know and Raiders of the lost Ark as this big laser beam that shoots out of it really seems that the Bible pretty cool, might think, but we don't see from the Bible but we do know from the Bible.

There's a couple things that are in their the deer is the manna there is the 10 Commandments and there is a rod that Aaron had used that God blessed that since force provides even though was already detached from the plan verse nine. Yet at the scent of water it will bud and bring forth branches like a plant. But man dies and is laid away. Indeed, breezes lasted where is as water disappears from the sea. A river becomes parched and dries up, so man lies down and does not to the heavens are no more. They will not awake nor be roused from their sleep over what you would hide me in the grave.

All that you would conceal me until your wrath is past that you would appoint me a set time, and remember me if a man dies, shall he live again. Pastor David will be back in less than one minute. As he continues teaching in the book of Job. A great way to start out each day is with a practical email devotional every morning from Pastor David visit crossed the bridge.com to start receiving yours for free. If you have a cell phone. You can also text the word encourage 294253 that's 94253 to receive a short encouraging text from us each day, and now back to the teaching Joe is asking some awesome questions and I mean thoughtless like she's asking prophetic questions. If a man shall he live again. Now the obvious answer to that in the time of Joe, which incidentally Job is one of the oldest books in the Bible and I know it little bit confusing because of where it comes from the Hebrew Scriptures yell me were more than halfway through the Old Testament and here comes the Joe but now I'm telling you that it's the oldest book so really belongs up there in Genesis, and indeed we do see a Joe early on in the book of Genesis. But here we are in this time thousands of years before Christ, and at that time.

Job asked the question if a man does show you live again. The obvious answer at that time is not skewed. Land's show he live again all the days of my hard service I will wait till my change comes, you shall call, and I will answer you, you shall desire the work of your hands. For now you number my steps, but do not watch over my sin.

Look at verse 70 will business my transgression is sealed up in a bag and you cover my iniquity. You cover my iniquity call for in the Hebrew it's very close to that work of early English, but as a mountain falls and crumbles away, and as a rock is moved from its place, as water wears away stones, and as torrents wash away the soil of the earth, so you destroy the hope of man Joe is upset. He's hurt the very people that God sent into the situation to bless Joe the comfort Joe did not do so and so in verse 19 when Job says of water wears away studs as torrents wash away the soil of the earth, so you destroy the hope of man, you know friends as we read these verses and when we think about where we are, and we see the mounting body count of Christians in the Middle East were tempted to be overwhelmed as we see so many of us who were hard to have the biblical definition of marriage is just about swept aside that her and yet Jesus says a couple things when he starts talking about the end times and to what is is. We look around and just sounds like watching the news today done it so you destroy the hope of man. That's what happens on the news that you want to be encouraged.

If you want to be filled with hope and not that I hope it works out with that. I know it's going to work out. I'm just not sure when I know God's going to come through. I'm just not sure when I know Jesus is going up here. I'm just not sure when. So you destroy the hope that's what the world does when they speak against the Messiah because he is the hope of verse 20 you prevail forever against the many passes on you change his countenance and send them away.

His sons come to honor Eddie does not know what they are brought low, and he does not perceive it, but his flesh will be in pain over the soul will mourn over so in the book of Job and and we just read chapter 14 and so were seeing this. It's almost like a volleyball game but it's like they're just hitting it back and forth my goodness.

Then Eliphaz said this, then Job answered that again. So far the name of thy mansard. That's then build that Shiite answers doesn't look to every person. This book is going to be different. Really, I don't mean the world to be different. I mean, what it means to is going to be different. Your personal application from Nessus can be different, but in the big picture thing about this one is the book of Joe really about and what I would encourage you to do if you've not done this yet go-ahead and read through the entire book.

Joe and then as I teach all will be coming back through those chapters that you've already read because it you know whether we go to the end of Job or we go to the end of the book of Revelation when we go ahead and help you that we will win it works out well where blast so in the book of Revelation we end up blessed in the book of Jonah Jones ends up blast. What is the message what we see is that Job through out the book at you continues to trust in God even as his children die all his things are taken, but if you know this got her two older brothers, Bill oldest brother Bill had two daughters and one passed away when she was 18 months old they get faith and in his other daughter grew to be 23 and went to be with the Lord. So you have two daughters and their boats with the Lord is tough. I mean, I can. I cannot imagine encourage you to pray for him.

His name's Bill. You know what this book calls us to is BC Joe Truscott the whole time and get to the end of the book and even though Job is trusting God the whole time. New guy just can't let them down in the in the bottom falls out right so what happens now this guy is back. Amen since you trust in God and God does what God has his back. Now here's what happens in life over and over, and in some point ago to write a book on all her experiences on the road because God over and over. We would get in some pink situation be like me and there's just no way out of this. I just don't see in the natural how this is going to result in a course. As soon as that situation sets up you know what God does right. It's my turn now because if you can't solve it and nobody can solve it on your behalf. Where does that leave you in line for the miraculous.

Amen. If you can't fix it and you don't know how anybody else can fix it, then you're in line for miracle why men don't get freaked out by that word. That just means that God is operating outside the normal sort of line of events and things like that you never take six weeks to heal, so maybe he wouldn't still use thing we take a couple steps back. Job and he is trusting God the whole time and in the end of the book God comes through the egg.

Amen.

And Job is vindicated in his trust of God is rewarded. He's blessed for trusting in the Lord and so here's a life lesson. The book of Job cause people to unpreserved dedication to God. The book of Joe calls people to unreserved dedication of God. It's interesting how you can read a verse over and over and over and over and over, and then you read it one more time and also you see something you never saw that's what this is a living book. Amen. This book will accomplish that which it was sent forth to do.

I don't know how many times I have read Job's wife after the children that Job's wife came to him. It's a curse God and God and you know what, in all fairness, we beat up on that poor lady a lot, but you know she lost her children and that was probably potentially harder on her than on the curse God and God for that.

So many times and yet today when I was reading you and I saw all that she may have been saying the joke may not seem like she may have been saying that you want to kill yourself. It never occurred to Joe Combs why he trusted God he trust God. He trusted God said together. He trusted God. He did what he trusted God.

You know what I see over and over, friends, and I see it because of got a little bigger picture sometimes is all see somebody who's getting ready to get the last mean like a leadership role a staff position and or something like that were watching were praying and then before the blessing, the task and have been heartbroken to see people get ripped off right before the blessing counts to get some point God lifts the pressure when you're in a situation when you're in a trial or urine test, the enemy will say, "the pressure it's just gonna keep on unit just cannot build and build build build that's just always going to be there. The pressure is always going to be there. You know you Billy Joel Singh and pressure pressure pressure. That's a lot word of the Lord. Is this too shall pass. Amen enemies is always always going be like that Joe was submitted to God. He trusted God you been listening to Pastor David McGee on cross the bridge weekend addition to in again next Saturday afternoon at 430 Eastern at 130 Pacific time as Pastor David continues teaching lessons from the life of Job.

God loves you and wants you to experience his peace, forgiveness, and life. The Bible says for God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have everlasting life. How do you receive this gift of everlasting life from God first acknowledge you are a sinner in need of forgiveness believe that Jesus Christ is the son of God, and died for you on the cross, taking your sin upon himself to provide forgiveness for you, then ask for him to enter your heart and life. Turning away from your sins, that is your own selfish desires and then open your heart to follow God's plan for your life. You can start your new life by praying something like this from your heart. Dear Jesus, I believe that you died for me that I could be forgiven. I believe you are resurrected that I could have a new life Lord, I have done wrong things and I'm sorry. Please forgive me for all of those things and please give me the power to live for you. The rest of my life in Jesus name, amen. My friend, if you prayed that prayer today for the first time, or coming back to God. After wandering away. Please let us know.
