John chapter 5 verse five is now a certain man was there who had an infirmity 38 years. Every time you read a detail in the Bible ask why it is there why you told us detail and for good reason to remember when the children of Israel left Egypt they went to Kate – bar near which we just spoke over the 12 spies took a little over year and they wandered around the desert waiting for something to happen. How long were they in the desert 38 years and here's this management waiting 38 years waiting for some happen just like the children of Israel walking on the desert for 38 years as interesting as is. Note certain man this place is filled with sick people.

Does Jesus heal them all.

Now he doesn't why I don't know I don't understand that she there's a mystery in the healing well. It's a mystery to us is not a mystery to God.

Now let's be real plain limit be real forward in this I believe God still heals people supernatural. You cannot show me any verse in this Bible that says God doesn't do that anymore is not the, God I serve and I know there's fellowships out there that say will.

God doesn't act like that anymore. God doesn't heal people supernatural anymore and upset and you know several times but it is a bizarre thing is if you believe that then why even pray for sick people.

Why does the Bible even tell us to pray for sick people. If God doesn't heal people anymore supernaturally. As you know, minimize what it would even pray in Lord, we know you don't heal people anymore were praying for Martha she sick to just know you don't heal. People should just go ahead and take her home. A man brace got to believe. Please don't pray for me to get well, God still heals people he heal some when we pray for supernaturally so me weights to heal, but you know that I had a decision ever had a decision.

If you sit in a pastor David for the rest of your life. You can walk in perfect health and never be sick again, but you won't be quite as dependent upon the Lord, I wouldn't take it so you know what let my dependence upon the Lord.

Stay strong, even if I have to go through illnesses and diseases. I don't understand why God heal some people. Why doesn't heal others, and I think we need to be very careful of St. what's obvious that this person appear they had faith and that's why they got healed in this persevere lavishly lack faith or maybe their sin in their life and that's why got healed. Be careful. That's a dangerous paintbrush to use because member. The Bible says the way that you judge other people is the way you're going to be judged.

So that's the standard you want and any time you get sick you want to be condemned for not having enough faith or being in sin, then go for it, but man what a dangerous place to be. Let me assure you, you're suffering from some disease or something going on in your life some affliction. We guarantee you if you know Jesus you will be healed just questionable in you might be healed today. Next week, next year it might be as you're coming into the presence of the Lord in heaven. You may take your disease or your affliction right up to the gates of heaven, but let me assure you some friend you will take it in. You will be healed and if you have to wait for that day and that's okay. It's not can it be that long. It's not going to be that long. Lord sees this man maybe saw he was lonely maybe Saul that he had nobody else to help. The Lord looked at this man in Lord still looking for people second Chronicles 16 nine love this verse is a Lord search the whole earth in order to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to him. What a fully you've been from now on you will be at war look to the Lord, commit your heart to him this morning look to the Lord focus on the Lord. That's what we're here for, were not here just because we haven't some meat in a warehouse where here to focus on the Lord is what we want to worship to be about us what we want the teaching to be about to be about Jesus verse six when Jesus saw him lying there and knew that he had Artie had been in that condition a long time. He said to him do you want to be made well what a bizarre question. What a good question.

First of all understand Jesus knew Jesus understood this man and he understands you.

You've been through things that nobody else in here made be able to understand maybe that nobody else is aware of. But Jesus is aware of and Jesus understands. Jesus knows Jesus sees Hebrews 415 reminds us, for we do not have a high priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are yet without sin, no life lesson. There is Jesus sees Jesus knows, even when no one else does.

This is one of those to me one of those how holy grounds in Scripture. Because of this question because Jesus isn't just asking this man 2000 years ago at this pool. This is just question for each and every one of us here today. Do you want to be made well. Do you want to be made well do you realize that some people don't want to be made well. I don't understand it but certainly in this day in the Middle East. You actually made 11 well you you know people today at stop lights and whatnot they make a better living as a backer than they could work so they don't want to be well for some of them to make up blanket judgment but some of them don't want to be healed.

They don't want to be made will but sometimes there's a different form of payoff. Sometimes it's an emotional payoff. Sometimes we help track people and that we extend mercy. Sometimes when we should be sharing the truth with people all you poor thing. I can't believe that happened to you and you just you having such a hard top. What happens first thing is you get your eyes off of Jesus and you start put them on yourself and your circumstance in your problem in the don't stop there.

You're not content. There you want to get everybody else's eyes upon your circumstance.

Upon your problem and you enter in the something that is so dark and so demonic that I don't think we recognize that sometimes and that's that realm of self-pity.

Everybody should feel sorry for me. You know what I've seen in ministry that will kill a ministry because basically you're looking at people say you need to get your eyes only feel sorry for me. Don't look at Jesus look at me, but any of us in all of us can do that and sometimes we do it.

Be careful. Saints be careful because in doing that some of us look at Jesus as he says you want to be made well. We look into going up I'm enjoying where I am developing this victim mentality that it's kind of all about me and see what happens. There is a keeps us from learning the lesson that we need to be learning because were so concerned with how we got treated badly. Woe is me. This happened to me, that happened to me. Enough about you. Let's talk about me some more inner enough talking about me what you think of me coming. Some of our conversations are just so caught up in her chocolate navelgazing into how well I used to do this a lot when I was a little kid and I hope this been offended by, but you know you got this navel and you just you just intrigued by you know there's all sorts of things that get in there from your shirt or third or whatever and you know you're in your desiderata when you're young you can sit around for an hour doing that you understand that some of us as believers are living like that.

What you don't navelgazing just intrigued by this is the one we supposed to be electricity looking at Jesus for us to get our house off of ourselves and put them on the Jesus and understand we go through hard times and I don't mean to belittle that we go through hard times because we are were all victims of a fallen world that we help create were all victims of people who were not sensitive to one another, of which we are included. So we are part of the problem. Do you want to be made well often on somebody comes to us in the end they speak truth drive in the you really need to consider this. You really need to look at what the Bible has to say about this link you will hear this but got it go bundle it all, the whole boot loop road. God uses us with one another not use the analogy before but you know the Marines to I wasn't in the Marines, but some I don't think you know they stand off 6 feet from each other.

They buddy up and they look each other over from their head to their toe and if there's a problem they tell one another and you don't have your helmet on a dude you don't have your gun with you. Go get your gun were going out in this battlefield. I cannot imagine a Marine looking at the other group would to just let you be judged. Your shoes on time. Would you tell me I didn't have a helmet but as believers we do that sometimes some essay man you know you need to be in your filter will read in your Bible do we get this attitude I think I'm saying we you know, some say I'm not saying y'all I'm saying we this is what we do and it's spiritually not good. It's not healthy and we see this in this man that his heart had become paralyzed as his legs. Hello, we pray that everyone will be in a Bible teaching Bible believing church and get those pastors wisdom on how to navigate the waters in a tumultuous situation in Jesus name, amen.

Hey man, thank you brother and now get back to David Magee as he continues teaching verse by verse, the man gives a bizarre answer. He doesn't say yes. In verse seven he starts telling the reasons why hasn't been healed. You can tell by his response that he long ago gave up hope of being healed is a place in Prague in Europe where they've actually gone and they've taken the jail cells, and they turned it into a hotel so anybody that's never experienced it can go there and spend the night in a jail cell. Nelly changed around little bit made a little more comfortable but still a jail cell and how many of us that's enough on just one be okay.

I just want to be in a comfortable jail cell.

Do you think that's what God designed for your life for you to be in a comfortable jail cell. The doors open. It's been unlocked and yet we still sit there we don't make any movement, although you know the enemy comes out, you never know what's out there. Be careful. Freedom is been baldness been purchased with such a high price and we don't walk in.

We don't experience what will because you know it's kind of safe in the cell here saddens tragic boat surreal safe and harbors but you know what boats are built state and harbors the bill to get out on the ocean and the go places were built to go places were built to be lights to walk in victory. You're not, you weren't made to be sitting in a jail cell, you were made to the Europe blood salt spirit salt spirit field send healed child of the living God.

That is only impacting this community but impacting five continents with missionaries and ministries who we've seen. I don't know how many people come the Lord here, God wants to exceed your expectations. So here's the thing.

Part of what happens and understand him talk about God's abilities, not your abilities and here's what happens. This is confusing. God put you in a place that only he can get the glory for getting you out of sometimes we better put self in that place we put ourselves in that situation, and we find ourselves trapped and when God comes through.

Everybody knows that God came through and God is the one in six. He's the one that made it right and that's why you can shout for joy after you come through the situation.

I don't know what your situation when he was praying for Loveland.

Maybe it's marriage problems A's family problems.

I don't know what it is but God is able to get you out of that situation, God is able to make that situation better than it's ever been in. Understand that may be what the Lord desires realistic not to get you out to give you strength to grow. The go through it.

Too often we pray Lord like my load like my load like my leg when we should be praying or give me stronger shoulders. I know if you selected me to get through this. I can go through.

I don't know where you see that in Scripture all over it all over talk about the children of Israel leaving Egypt. They left Egypt and and militarily. Strategically, it was an incredible blunder because they left Egypt and they found themselves with mountains on two sides and the sea. On the other in Pharaoh's army close and in how did they find themselves in a position where he remembers they were being led five and iCloud about anything God led them to that place while not just so they could be trapped but so that they would realize there was no way out and they had to cry out to God, the God not know the lay of the land did the sea catch them by surprise was a surprise. If there's mountains were there.

Was he shocked at Pharaoh's army was bringing up the rear. None of those things caught him by surprise and nothing that's going on in your life is catching him by surprise and may catch you by surprise, never catches him by surprise, is God. He knows some of you may be in a place where you need to cry out to God and his long and free to do that.

He's asking you this morning. You want to be made well.

Exodus chapter 14 verse 13 that place were there on the edge of the Red Sea and Moses said to the people. Do not be afraid. Stand still and see the salvation of the Lord which you will accomplish for you today for the Egyptians whom you see the date you will see, you shall see again. No more forever.

The Lord will fight for you, and you shall hold your peace. The Egyptians you see today you see no more forever to realize for some of you feel like you're being closed in by the Egyptian army today can be your day of deliverance. Today you can come to the Lord and the Lord will say all deal with a been waiting for you to cry out to me about the situation. All deal with the Egyptian army and those things that are been bothering you been plaguing you for so long. You'll never see him again to understand God is able to do that start talking some of you.

I just know you know your bonds going. I can't get my mind around that. I struggled with this area for so long.

This is been a problem. I just can't get my mind around the fact that I could be delivered is because you're thinking of your strength. We are established God's miracle working God. God is able God has the power and God is interested in your life. So the question is are you able are you willing to allow him to work in your life is interesting. The wording here says do not be afraid to stand still and see the salvation of the Lord, that word salvation is interesting word in the Hebrew is the word yes you is the Hebrew word for salvation. Some of you may recognize the name the same name is Joshua Joshua's name in the Hebrew is Joshua perhaps why you don't recognize it is because you're more familiar with the Greek form of the word which is Jesus standstill and see the salvation of the Lord see Jesus this morning you can get your eyes off your problem or situation. Whatever's been attacking you whatever's been bothering him whatever's been holding you back in your service to the Lord, which is upon Jesus and don't let a problem cause you to lose hope because were believers your believer here this morning is no need for you to lose hope because you know Jesus heavier here this morning.

You don't know Jesus.

You've not yet asking to forgive you of your sins. He wants to heal you. That's the most important thing that is the biggest miracle of all that the Lord would heal our souls that he would make us well spiritually and he's willing to do that this morning this very miracle can happen to you this morning if you don't know it you've never asking to forgive you of your sins. This can be your morning review here and something is going on. The Lord is saying you know what I want you to get up and walk and I said you notice I said get your eyes upon Jesus. I don't want anybody in here to think okay what I need to do is go forward and focus on my healing. No, don't focus on your healing. Don't focus on the problem focus on him who heals focus on him who can solve your problems, focus on Jesus and watch him show himself strong on your behalf. I'm telling you God is brought me through so many things he set me free of so much stuff so many bondage as so many situations so many hardship and I know that he wants to do the same for you. Whether it's your sin or situation you find yourself trapped in God wants to set you free, was pray Lord we thank you Lord, we thank you that everybody can be set free. As we gaze on your face as we look to you Lord I just asked you would give boldness to people this morning to come to you to stand up and along and ask you to touch their lives because you see you see everything in their life. You know everything that's going on in Newark able to touch them and to heal them in your question to them was like the question to the man.

Do you want to be made well friend, you know for sure that your sins have been forgiven.

You can know right now only Jenna short, simple prayer simply telling God you're sorry and asking him to help you to live for him. God wants you to pray this prayer so much that he died to give you the opportunity and the ability to ask him to forgive you.

Please pray this prayer with me out loud right now. Dear Jesus, I believe you died for me that I could be forgiven and I believe you were raised from the dead that I could have a new life now done wrong things I have sent and I'm sorry.

Please forgive me of all those things. Please give me the power to live for you. All of my days in Jesus name, amen friend of you prayed that prayer according to the Bible you've been forgiven you've been born again.

Jesus said he would not turn anybody away who comes to him and he came for those people who knew they needed forgiveness. Those who were sick, not the righteous to congratulations bring you just made the greatest decision that you will ever make.
