John Chapter 4:47-54

Don't worry about anything.

Instead, pray about everything.

Tell God what you need and thank him for all he has done. There is only one way that you cannot be anxious about stuff and that's if you take whatever's concerning you, and you place it in the hands of the Lord and here comes the hard part and you leave it there. Jesus cares about every detail in your in your life.

Those things that are troubling you want your hand. He wants to be part of your life. He wants to be the solution.

I know sometimes are struggling under. Sometimes we get filled without. We should know ourselves to be filled without a doubt, some don't doubt Jesus don't doubt your faith. Don't doubt the word of God. A doubt some doubt your doubt welcome to cross the bridge with David McGee. David is the senior pastor of the bridge in Kernersville, North Carolina. We have a guest in the studio with us today. It's one of David McGee's associate pastors DA Brown and DA tell us a little bit about David McGee's teaching private miracles which he will be teaching today. Bob the world tries to get us to doubt God is speaking to us but you can't cast doubt God is speaking to the core of who you are speaks to where no one else can go today I hope you're ready to hear from God, and I hope you're ready for him to answer some the questions you can ask now, here's David McGee with part two of his teaching private miracles turn with me to John chapter 4.

Let's pick it up with verse 47 when he heard that Jesus had come out of Judea into Galilee, he went to him and implored him to come down and heal his son for he was at the point of death.

I remember Judea is the region around Jerusalem. Galilee is the upper portion of the country and again the galley is kind of the rolling Hill country in Judea as part of the city you will of Jerusalem, that's interesting. This man wanted Jesus touched her son men.

That's a good thing it's a good thing for you as a father to desire that Jesus would touch her children. Mother's that's a good thing for you to desire that Jesus would touch her children pray for your children pray for often and bring them to Jesus. Now helping times. Don't be surprised when your kids maybe don't want to go to church and don't be afraid of making them go to church. That's not an entirely bad thing. I probably heard that old joke that you know this guy says yeah when I was growing up I had serious drug problem and I still have have some of the leftovers of that God is all really good look in a drug promise it will. Every Wednesday night my parents drove me to church every Sunday morning. They drug me to church every Sunday night. They drug me to church and I still bear the benefits of that drug problem. I like you know some some parents make the mistake of asking their children, young children 12, 11, 988. You want to go to church sometimes in my singing not of course they knew we have the opposite thing happening here to and it's amazing the parent. I don't know, they realize what they're telling me when they said they got there we were on this murder.

Kids want to go.

Praise God you that lets me know that lets me know our children's ministry is an awesome part of this relish… Think that it didn't take your kids to get you here. Praise God is glad you're here. Pray for your kids and something we do for our kids and we've done since her room really on his pray for the spouses.

No, I don't have any news to Claire about that but you know it's never too early to begin to pray for their future spouse that they would be a godly man or a godly woman and that the Lord would select them in. It would be an act of the flesh, and I think that's an awesome thing. And also you know when your kids coming when we mentioned this with your kids.

Make sure that your your maintaining your witness. Now that's a challenge and but understand part of maintaining your witnesses is when you mess up telling you messed up all they arty know but go to them and you know that was not cool.

What I did. I was angry. I raise my voice or whatever you did you know we shouldn't watch the television show was it. Whatever the deal isn't an and lead them by your example and your perfection because I know you're not perfect. Don't even try to pull out and I mean and if thereunder Tuesday no, I mean if there over to the they may know thereunder.

Pray for verse 48. Since then Jesus said to him, and less people see signs and wonders, you will be you will by no man's bully by no means bully talk unless you people see signs and wonders, you will by no means believe that plainly here.

There's kind of an inherent warning of seeking signs and wonders to confirm your faith allow would Jesus tell us here and there's other places. Paul tells us in second Corinthians chapter 2 verse nine talking about end times this evil man will come to do the work of Satan's counterfeit power and signs and miracles and and were warned in other places as well. This is why Jesus wants us to be careful in this area because in the end times and I think were getting close. There's going to be what's referred to as lying signs and wonders and understand some people that's all they look at the validated ministry. So I'm on television, a God used him to heal that God will. The reality is you.

You don't know that man you don't know is ministry you don't know is fruit in the be honest you don't know the person who just got healed and you need to be careful and look at the fruit of the ministry. Other people don't know the Lord that are coming to know the Lord. That's the best fruit of the ministry is our people didn't say and I think that's a legitimate thing is the word being taller people getting saved are people being disciple, not necessarily Emmy people did we raise from the dead. This week that's a tough time. God still does those things I believe you can show me in Scripture where he quit doing that verse 49 the nobleman said to him, sir, come down before my child dies. Jesus said to him, go your way, your son lives. So the man believed the word that Jesus spoke to and he went his way, as is interesting to me, just the exchange is very cryptic.

Not a lot of words here in the mantis sir, come down before my child dies know what what I find interesting about this is the man was telling Jesus what he needed to do to heal his son. The 20 miles away understand their walk and they're not a car there 20 miles away. This man is asking Jesus to walk 20 miles to pray for his son and it seems like the obvious thing to do.

And Jesus did, in fact, he was sent, but not in the way the man asking this is such a powerful application because a lot of times more pray in were asking the Lord to fix a situation or to remedy a situation to understand that often we tell him how he supposed to do that. Do you think he really needs us to tell him how he supposed to do that. I don't think he does now there's a time and a place for but I think we probably go a little bit too far in there in a week with the okay Lord. This is what I need you to do this is the way I need you to meet this need.

I need you to do it. You know I'm just gonna wait on you, but it needs to be done by 5 o'clock today. Brisk way to minute the Lord may be working something in your life to teach you something were done happen. 5 o'clock may happen two days three days four days five days after you think it's worse to happen, but I got so many bills I got I got so many bills. Unfortunately, off of charge myself into a corner got so many bills I Lord there's only one way that I know that you go to meet this need, lotto one minute God may be desiring to teach you about how to live instead of providing some quick solution that's going to find you right back in the same situation, monthly to the life lesson here is allow the Lord to work in his way and his timing without being anxious, yet I had to throw those last three words in their without being anxious, as if the first two things wouldn't sell were told in Philippians chapter 4 verse six is being anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your request be known to God is from the new King James version.

I read from the new King James version as study and King James, the King James amplified new living translation. Some of the new living translation here says don't worry about anything.

Instead, pray about everything that's good in, don't worry about anything. Instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need and thank him for all he has done. There is only one way that you cannot be anxious about stuff and that's if you take whatever's concerning you, and you place it in the hands of the Lord and here comes the hard part and you leave it there and you leave the Dixie a lot of times I know personally what I do is not just something that God and all way you know what seems to me to be a long time.

Three. Four minutes on and on and nothing happened so I take it back. Obviously, and then I get anxious again. What we gotta do is learn to set things in the lap of Jesus and leave them there guys. That's a hard discipline, but something that we need to do.

I mean those hands do you desire for your loved ones for your family and friends whose hands do you desire for them to be in yours are the Lord's who's going to do a better job at drawing them and wooing them you are God's answers pretty obvious. It only want to put them in the Lord's hands with. We got put them there and leave them there, and God sees every need that you have and when you pray he's want you to including in your life and say Lord heal my son heal my daughter Huma uncle Mike and my mom and dad heal me, Lord, and he wants to be included in every aspect of your life. You know when we were on the road we traveled on the road for about seven years. Just all over the country, Canada and Mexico do ministry and stuff.

It was just amazing.

I know maybe one day I'll sit down and and write a book because it we just saw so many think that's huge things all the time but it was intriguing to me the details that Jesus was interested in every part of our life. Not sure this once before Sunday night or sometime it we were in Cambodia Arizona which is between Flagstaff and Phoenix and am we talked about our son JD was getting some headaches we thought will innovate seems to get headaches when he reads. Perhaps at some point will stop and will go to optometrist resentment and so we go to the fellowship I do that the music in the teaching we get finished and were low. Now you know and we I said something about JD's eyes and the guy and one of the deacons. It was a slowdown said what's wrong with his eyes and said, well you get headaches overthinking it. He might need to go the doctor. The garlic that makes it. This is like the day after we prayed to Gus's mom and optometrist. Can you come by tomorrow. Suggest doing about a party because if we even needs glasses I'd appreciate if you would allow me to bless you guys with glasses. Jesus cares about every detail in your in your life. Those things that are troubling you. He want you hand them to. He wants to be part of your life. He wants to be the solution. I know sometimes are struggling under. Sometimes we get filled with doubt. I doubt some doubt your doubt is not doublespeak. That's a life lesson. Trust the Lord and out the other thing your emotions can be something you should doubt that you've lived long enough you know what I'm get red-faced or there are times when your emotions aloud to you they glad do you remember a facility are still teenagers but never when you're a teenager and use all that girl or that God you thought. That's the one that is the one phrase that's going to be my wife or that's going to be my husband. You were just convince that to happen.

What happened your emotions.

Glad to David took you to a faulty conclusion so your motions cannot do you know what else you want to get this stuff on your skin lot.

See there are people who do allusion you know how they do that they deceive your eyes meet some of these guys a real good you can watch a real close I got a buddy in California that is a ministry where he goes around and I mean you can't see what he does and I'm in all asking because he's a friend of the man how to do that very well, thank your eyes can see they can make you think it's also maidens now and again understand your motions can be deceived. Your eyes can somewhat be deceived and and wasn't part because you know what happens will reread some you reach up in the newspaper. He reads up on the Internet you know what you you know what you immediately think what's true. I read it was in print. That doesn't mean that is true, and again understand all only motion thing all. Here's a good one. Let me in case you're still thinking your emotions don't lie to you, television commercials can manipulate your emotions in 30 seconds or less you give it it's happening. You sit there watching TV right and and somebody that you don't know and is a paid actor and actress and also an after 30 seconds, your tear, not because he called mom and your emotions are worked up your spouse comes what's wrong what just happened. Your emotions just got manipulated in 32nd amazing thing, but it can happen.

A mineral me like that only verse 51. As he was now going down, his servants met him and told him, saying your son lives and then he inquired of them the hour when he got better and they said them yesterday at the seventh hour the fever left. He believed the word that Jesus but that's so important guys believe the word that Jesus speaks to me either through his word are that still small voice. He speaks to your heart.

And the Lord build the son, and he didn't do it gradually or did it instantly. Sometimes he does it gradually. The understand the Lord still does miracles that was a question it's okay for you to answer the understand Lord still does miracles want to say with me. The Lord still does miracles. The Lord still does miracles.

See you can't show me in this book that the Lord quit doing miracles. But the Lord quit acting like that I don't understand some churches that don't believe God still does miraculous. I don't understand. I mean what it says pray for the sick. We pray for the sick. If you don't.

If you think God that do miracles anymore, or any part Lord, we know you don't heal people. She sick to just take her own home.

You not pray for him to his you don't believe that God can, God can heal. Now God chooses to heal people in a variety of ways he chooses to heal some people over time he chooses to heal. Some people say medication. He chooses to heal some people to the surgery and he still does the miraculous and his people just like that, we need to allow the Lord to freedom to heal people the way he wants to heal and and and still give the glory to God. You know, I'm sure before I was born 95% death, and my tongue attached to my gums. I couldn't speak, and with the nine different operations and then had to be taught to speak with to speech therapy for four years and and what's interesting sometimes assure that some I cannot go hey, so did God heal your or did you have third, what a weird question God healed me using surgery. I'm aiming let's not get hyper spiritual and and missed the point because well and will be in this chapter. Two years or so and John where he heals the God he uses spent in mind to heal again in the God. What is he saying he did. He then run off and go well that that duty like like really potent mode on bylaws in the mud healed me. It was an amazing thing that somebody did. Also praise God I couldn't see. And now I can see that he wasn't confused about the vehicle that God used verse 52 says. Then he inquired of them lower got better and they said them yesterday at the seventh hour the fever left him. So the father knew it was at the same hour which Jesus said to them, your son lives in himself believed in his whole household.

Notice the influences. Manhattan is also he was influence in his house for the Lord. That's important. There's a a lot of Christian males in the world today. There's a real shortage of Christian men. Men who are not afraid to lead their families. Men who were not afraid to be unpopular at times with their children. At times, even with her wife. But to make a stand for the Lord member in the words of Joshua 2415 and if it seems evil to you to serve the Lord, choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the river. The gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell. But as for me and my house we will serve the Lord's challenge to you men.

It's a challenge to some of you ladies, if there's not a man in the house.

Make sure your home is a godly home and that your children are grown up knowing the Bible and understand we talked about this for your Proverbs 31 where it talks about the virtuous woman we get this weird picture of what virtuous is we think all that's mild, meek manner that is so far from the Hebrew, the Hebrew, there is warrior Proverbs 31 is talking about a warrior woman is bringing her home up in the fear in the admonition of the verse 54. This again is the second son, Jesus did when it come out of the Judea in the galley. So the two miracles were in what was it John to when he turned water to wine in here where he feels the nobleman's something interesting about both these miracles. They were both private miracles. What I mean by that. Nobody at the wedding feast.

Most people at the wedding feast didn't know what it happened.

Remember he dealt with the servants and took the what had been water to the governor of the feast should Manny save the best for last. Nobody knew. And here until the father begin to tell nobody know they just knew this boy got instantly better.

That was Diane, and you understand a lot of miracles happen like that only think of miracles we get twisted thing we think you got set up a big revival tent and that's you know there's heal and I don't Wednesday night seven. The nine after that the Holy Spirit don't do anything. I never got that. But anyway.sometimes this quiet miracles he does in the quietness of the home. The quietness of the marriage in your devotion you can pray for people that are on the other side of the world. God can touch him and you may never know, but he still does miracles. The water in the wind thing that was a miracle of time God makes wine from grapes or man makes wine from grapes of anyone I will but it takes a lot of time and in this case Tom was short and that was the miracle God is the God.

Over time in a healing that is was to take place over weeks could happen like that. He still is the got overtime and then here he heals the young boy from 20 miles away and it shows us his Lordship over space. He prayed for some it was 20 miles away and they got you. That should encourage us in a while. Is God still heals over time and space.

Somehow, the cross reaches forward into this morning and is able to heal you is able to touch. Whatever your need is with the people that are here and I know that there are some needs and the people here, and you represent another needs with your family with your friends and Jesus wants to do miraculous for you this morning he wants to answer prayer. It was to do that for you and is willing, but the question is are you will and asking, are you willing to take that step of faith and receive either your healing or praying for the healing of somebody that you love her somebody that you're interceding for their salvation.

Perhaps an unstable loved one needs to come to Jesus, maybe some I sit in here right now and guys. I firmly believe the greatest miracle that the Lord ever does is taken semi-that doesn't know him trapped in bondage to their sins, and he forgives him many sets of free and how often we forget that. That's a miracle does not describe anybody in here this morning. Do you have the honesty to say yeah but does describe me concerned about my brother, my sister, daughter, my son, can you reach out in faith this morning so God please touch me please touch a situation please touch my husband.

Please touch my wife can you do that or you will and God's longing to hear your voice crown. Some of the very thing that you saw when I said will you crown you thought, man. There's just there's no need to pray for this guy because it'll just never happen, don't do that, click on the box. God is much more powerful than you can ever begin to realize friend you know for sure that your sins have been forgiven.
