He did family was on full display.

Yesterday's wedding and were not talking about Prince Harry Lee Cowan has paid the clan a visit at home. Yesterday's war wedding state to a 19-year-old cellist moving. He had six brothers and sisters while excelling classical music.

Just like the houses by naming sound is like a massive summer calling Britain's most now page from our Sunday morning on May 20, 1989, 29 years ago today sad day for the world of comedy.

That was the day Gilda Ratner died of cancer. Ratner drop out with a gift for comedy's father 1975 on the original cast of Saturday Night Live. There she created such memorable characters as erratic and vice maven Roseanne Rosanna down all and clueless gadfly Emily let tell Violet violence left Saturday Night Live in 1980 to pursue a career about to marry 1984 married fellow comic Gene Wilder, Gilda Ratner was just 42 when she died. But that's not the end of her story. She gave her name to Gilda's network of supportive gathering places for cancer patients, founded by Wilder and others, including Ratner's cancer psychotherapist Joe Annable. I don't think anyone really understands the loneliness of cancer like someone who has it. Someone who is going through it with our own Charles Osgood back in 1996 we got a look inside the New York City Gilda's club and we heard what Wilder told the fundraiser back then about the words he said Ratner told him in a dream.

I miss you all proud of all you for helping to create this great thing in my honor. And though Gene Wilder passed on in 2016.

The clubs that honor Gilda Ratner it's Sunday morning and here again is Jane calling a member of a royally hunted family was on full display. Yesterday's wedding and were not talking about Prince Harry Lee Cowan has paid the clan a visit at home in an otherwise ordinary Nottingham neighbor UK open window reveals just how extraordinary the family lives inside you.

Behind every door downstairs living room brothers and sisters, ages 8 to 21. Creating a classical cacophony may rattle the people, visit this is say Mason and his wife Connie can never intended to raise the room private chamber orchestra, but no one nearby same mama we've never had a complaint by some of the windows. It is about a post and if you think you are good by themselves. There like together all Masons first came to fame after 2000; Terry Megan Masons 19-year-old shake to perform the wedding chapel bad. She may have been singled out and started with yelp ice began taking music lessons at age 6. Realizing more than just patients state okay. Next came I said is equally talented brother bioassay. I just gave up and how to the prestigious Royal Academy of music in London same job.

Three of them (you know what each other's thinking almost before they say you will set the bar pretty high siblings catching up about starting also on scholarship for like pressure sensors and as much a choice like we have the options to everyone. Ted but I'm just saying things also paying classical music scene nicely wanted to date every Saturday we got up at 431 with her mom catch a train that takes him 130 miles one way from the station of the Academy on full tilt will see from the train on the way that on the way back to Gow energy for the day. How often do you practice on a school day 2 to 3 hours and then on the weekend, five, six or seven hours is expected no more than the County Masons expect of themselves becoming Masons that just happened. This is from years and years about one huge and respectful Howard I and SQ Junior Academy's direct sinker prodigies is that the right word. I tend to stay away from that what I think that exceptionally gifted but they wanted to take that gift funds move forward with our tightknit family take itself to save a little sibling rivalry. There will be a competition between many of us you wanted like Sherry is often the company I think. I think competition is good comes the case of whacking company practicing still the success of one they say is a success earlier this year rest play at the rafters's version of the Oscars.

They shared the red carpet likes of Cranston, Orlando Bloom and Jennifer Lawrence even asked for shakers autograph winning the distinguished BBC young musician competition at age 16 celebrity in the first winner of the competition captivating. The judge is transported somewhere else. The bubble is truly gifted people the check with him because his bubble, but we don't do consul, the wistful parts of his what is that feel part of very drastic it this past February.

Jacob released his first out inspiration, which surprisingly top, the UK classical chart also made it into the top 20 are missed most of this shakers arrangement of no woman no cry video went viral. Something people on this case. Music is brought a whole new audience absolutely absolute and that's why he was invited to play it yesterday. Millie, Mrs. Gunderson went, but his insistence with fact he's trying to help her youngest mission will-year-old Mari got surpassed so shakers of the scaffolding will well expect this because he can't just be amazing takes up the practice likely no out practice every minute they toiled by a love of classical music, surpassed only by their desire to perform always meant to be shared. John McCain is telling his story in a new memoir the restless way. Co-author Mark Salter is a long time McCain friend and collaborator, and he's talking to our chip read John McCain returned to the Senate last July for a crucial vote on a Republican plan to repeal the affordable care act, and he was nearly moved to tears by his reception just earlier the Arizona senator had been diagnosed with brain cancer after undergoing emergency surgery to remove a blood clot. Moments after that standing ovation.

McCain always the maverick chastised colleagues in both parties with some of his renown straight talk with them spinning our wheels on too many important issues because we keep trying to find a way to win without help from across the aisle and resident really did part of it obviously was because he had just received this very tough diagnosis and it looks like you just had brain surgery Mark Salter has been writing speeches for John McCain for 30 years. That speech spoke of his love for the place and what was capable of doing and how should want to work together to make progress on our country's problems.

We are getting nothing done, my friends, where getting nothing done.

The story of that dramatic night is just one of many in McCain's new memoir the restless way.

Published by Simon & Schuster, a division of CBS covering the last 10 years. The book details this historic presidential campaign against Barack Obama as well as his disagreements with Pres. Obama and Pres. Donald about America's place in the world, cowritten by soldier. It's their seventh collaboration.

What does the restless wave comes from the is very restless man is anyone who knows covering those the only God could slow them down.

That's what we thought that was an appropriate title.

I don't know how much longer I'll be here.

John McCain from the audiobook the restless way. Maybe I'll have another five years. Maybe with the advances in oncology to find new treatments for my cancer that will extend my life. Maybe I'll be gone before you hear this.

Do you think this became a different book as a result of the diagnosis.

This much much different. Also, since the last testament because he's fight hard on sticking around for a while, but he did want to tell Americans how much his countrymen to him before he was gone and how much he thinks his country meets the world. The book incorporates key themes from some of McCain's recent speeches, including one in Philadelphia last October that many saw as a direct flight president from fear the world.

We have organized and led to three quarters of a century to abandon the ideals we have advanced around the globe to refuse the obligations of international leadership in our duty to remain the last best hope of earth, for the sake of some half baked spurious nationalism cooked up by people who would rather find scapegoats and solve problems on page got it attached to any other tired dogma the past that Americans consigned to the patient. She has sheet history didn't want to turn this into a personal attack on Donald Trump and I don't think it really is, but it does take strong exception with some of the presence views because they are in great contrast to his own. If John McCain could sit down and try to change Donald Trump's mind on one issue on the importance of American leadership in the world. The world order that suggested for 75 years is worth maintaining is made us powerful and wealthy and it is free people from tyranny and poverty, more so than any other time in history after fighting propaganda crock pot fight isolationist protection is we have to those who would worsen our divisions among our sons and daughters that we became the most powerful nation on earth by tearing down the not also criticizes the way in which many Americans have called themselves off from those who disagree with them. Writing about his friendships with Hillary Clinton Joe Biden and Ted Kennedy. He always seem to have as many good friends on the Democratic side, and that's really one of the main messages he wanted this book to convey to the American people assume that if someone votes differently you that that they don't deserve your respect for your friendship. In fact, one of the books most headline grabbing revelations has to do with close friend from across the aisle.

He says that he regrets not having chosen Jolene and us does not say, though, as has been interpreted that he regrets to answer.

How can he regret not choosing to Lieberman but not regret because he was persuaded not to pick Joe Lieberman leaked out that we were considering at the advice of his staff.

Among the me saying you can't do. He regrets listening to. After he made the decision you never regret it and in the book he defends her a never never uttered a word in private or public criticism over to see sometimes worry that there might have been a direct line from Sarah Palin, Donald Trump.

I've never heard him express at last month, McCain underwent another surgery this one to treat an infection while his type of cancer is often terminal the 81-year-old war hero is still fighting and says he doesn't feel cheated. He feels less a fight not joined as a fight not enjoyed and I wouldn't mind another scrapper to for a good cause.

Before I'm a memory. Who knows, maybe I'll get another round and maybe I will so be it. I've lived in this wondrous land for most of a decades and I've had enough good fights and good company and or service to satisfy even my restless nature whom I to complain my friends. I'm the luckiest man on earth raised the old Marx Brothers joke. You gonna believe sailing or your own years and to hear our country has been written by the Danny Laurel oral war families torn apart strangers and locking each other, questioning the very nature of reality. Everyone and I mean everyone has weighed in different I first heard this year tricking mindbending name was right. A few hours later, my family heard in the world like crazy and told me to start these people. I once locked and trusted reject my trip so long.

Well were all correct. According to science both words are being set on different frequencies, and various folks.

Differently you help thinking maybe there's a lesson here in today's fractious political climate name when someone is hundred percent sure she's right. Someone else is 100% wrong.

Maybe someone who cares things or feel something that we don't crazy or stupid or unsound me will hear something new. If we listen again. One man another woman's Laurel the same time. Scott Fitzgerald wrote the text of a first-rate intelligence is the ability to hold two opposed ideas in mind at the same time and still retain the ability to function in America just got a little more intelligent just been a good week for this guy from Shane for a few days. Our country came together to wholeheartedly disagree passion and humor. We take a moment now to remember Tom Wolf, journalist and novelist in the standout white suit who died this past Monday at a New York City hospital cover so many things where I didn't fit in Park Avenue soirées to Wall Street shenanigans. Tom will somehow always found a way and managed to bring his readers into born in 1930 in Richmond, Virginia.

The young Tom Wolf was tempted to pursue a baseball career that fell through, settled for a PhD from Yale instead he went into journalism wearing scuba gear for one story for the Springfield Union in Massachusetts. Next came the Washington Post followed in 1962 by the New York Herald Tribune now long gone. It was celebrated at the time, as the writers paper from that part she honed a vivid personal style that flouted traditional rules of reportage and typography style that came to be known as the new journalism nonfiction books informed by extensive reporting coining such catchphrases as radical Chic me decade and the right stuff along the way he zeroed in on one quality in particular as he told Harry Smith and a Sunday morning visit back in 2006 in your vision of of our American life is really just about status. It's not just about status is mainly about beginning in 1987. He pursued questions of wealth and status in best-selling novels including the bonfire of the vanities and a man and fall novels that try to capture a broad sweep of contemporary life. And let's not forget the suits. The bespoke three-piece white's with all the trimmings became his personal trademark. I started wearing them by accident just arrived in New York I would always want to come to work on newspaper, got a job well, but this I bought a white suit for the summer. All of a sudden in 1965 I had a book coming out. The bug was the candy colored tangerine Flake Streamline baby which attracted notice and reviews and interviewers and to my amazement I read the article and essentially colorful, but he wears white suit.

I realize I have a substitute for personality personality substitute are not the white suit was just as much a part of him as his sharp powers of perception and his inimitable powers of expression to borrow that book title of his.

He truly was a man in full. Tom Wolf was 88 I'm Jane Pauley.
