There is S John Cooper skillet guys got a brand-new almonds called the Dominion is out today all January 14.

What is today, that was last week right so I'm gonna just forget. I just want to give up on January because it's so cold out. I just wanted to be Barch whereafter tremendous hope of a John Cooper's with me right now is looking up to be in his podcast yesterday and John welcome congratulation on the album. Thank you Brian, great to talk with you. Thanks for having me on. So tell me about surviving the game moods with that song about old man.

We all feel like we've been surviving the game the last years right. I wanted to write not just a song but an album that don't like the post pandemic rock album of the year you come out of this thing ready to go to the gym lose all that covert weight. I don't ever buy up their needs lose the covert weight but also gives you hope for the future and the tenacity to face whatever is happening in your life to your pandemic.

People that have been sick. We have people lost their jobs, we have inflation. There's a lot to be real concerned about right now. The people I think of giving up their home and they've given up their liberty and this is just a celebration of freedom so Dominion agility is the post pandemic lockout with your go check it out see him. Susan, I'm so glad you didn't do what would we saw Luke home still writes that song called 6 feet apart. It becomes number one head but nobody wants to remember that you want to hear. 6 feet apart three years from now you wrote about life afterwards right absolutely and lightless. Don't focus on how how difficult it is been let's focus on freedom focus on choice.

I'd like a dedicated BM in the light of those I dedicated this album to freedom, liberty those who gave up their lives so that I can have it. Those who are still putting their lives on the line for us every day, and those who still aren't willing to sacrifice their lives for this great opportunity we have it to make something of your life.

You want to be III love America I love it I can believe what I want to believe nobody here is forced to be left wider center or this religion or that religion you have the liberty to do it and make something of yourself so I really want to encourage people that have suffered during the with depression and it just loneliness and isolation and negativity put that away and this optimism take the world by the chief.

It also hope the people here those messages on this this new record omitted so you look at this, you say well you know, America is free but Australia was free doesn't seem to free now France.

If you're not vaccinated don't plan on going anywhere in Italy it's against the Lord, not to be vaccinated, so will these Western cultures are indices that you feel somewhat under siege over the last two years. Well I personally did.

Yes, I'm really amazed that people are willing to give up their personal liberties so so easily and these Western civilization. The other you just mentioned, I have hope that America is not going to go down that road because there are a lot of trach patriot. A lot of people like minded and saying hey enough is enough.

We've given a gift to the world of freedom once before. I believe that America could give that gift again and I think that there's enough people standing up right now saying we we do not need to get this up so easily. This is a gift, so when do you get back in front of crowds are you doing it already, I'm doing already know, truth is a little difficulty another sub base. Later, it just tends to see the red states that are open and also played any state publicly anywhere little happy right now will play mostly force the red states play in front of crowds and arenas.

I refuse to play any vaccine mandated shows magical heat for that but I don't care because it to me. It was worth put my career little bit on the line and that's what I had to do for them than I really believed and so will play in front of people. Now, given people hope on that so many people is that man I John you have no idea how much I needed this show. I needed to experience the music music tells people get through their stuff in and like I say concerts were the only places in the nation, concerts and sporting events that you can come into a room with Democrats, Republicans, libertarians, Christians, non-Christians, anti-religious people, Muslims, whatever you all come together and you celebrate music been a void only comes we can all get along these days usually kills people through hard times that I just really thrilled to be able to still be doing this.

Reliving a plate anywhere that I can use it to time grab your winners are going into this album.

30 sold 12 million this religion play in your lyrics well. Religion plays a role in everything that I do you know of because it is who I am is the way that I see the world. God gave me hope. My mom died from cancer when I was young was 15 God gave me hope through that that he became a refuge for me. In fact, the Bible says that God is my refuge and my strength is always there. My time to trouble.

I knew that I wasn't alone and I and I think that right now. People all over the world are feeling absolutely alone.

And so, again, that my religion does play a lot as I write about this hope that I have in God's hope that that I feel bit you do matter.

Your life actually matters.

So you hear those messages come through the music. She was a very inclusive band with lots of fans that are atheist and agnostic than that soars up, but they always pick up on the hope and people because is a John I'm not a Christian. I don't get the Jesus stuff but your music makes you feel good. I love that investment music close to do it brings people together, man.

You also have your songs very familiar people that do W… WWE ESPN major league baseball. Sue kinda works with sports as a John Cooper skill is a great man for support for multiple reasons. For one thing, it's that positive. It's like get up and go music.

I would go to the gym.

Music also skillet works good for sports because it is family-friendly you ever your cuss words our music and never hear songs about drugs and sex. It is about life so therefore it's safe on and we a lot to WWE ESPN NFL.

We just had so many big supporters that I think that family atmosphere probably also really help so if people go check out the new record of your good to hear those positive message family-friendly messages in and a great walk out. My hope would you approach with your with your podcast. My podcast is basically this to talk about the things that are happening in culture but but it but in a way that normal people can understand it. You know I would.

I would say it like this. I hope you my podcast the way to write your book when I read your books. I don't have to be a historian, I don't have to go to college and get a degree in history. I read your books like a all that just makes sense that the easiest way to explain this my podcast I try to do that in a cultural way to explain the differences and to explain things like liberty and in these great philosophies behind America and and in Christianity as well. Gotcha. And Johnson, we came across and appreciate the interview it's it's up there now so John Cooper congratulations on the album Dominion and were playing out with one of your songs would saw Mrs. Eric same one who finds himself coming out.
