In this writer Junior welcoming you to another broadcast of the Baptist Bible.

Our I'm thankful we have this opportunity to come your way. At the same time each day, Monday through Friday, bringing a message from God's word.

We depend on our listeners for support.

So if you can help us at this time it will be greatly appreciated. I know there are people that have lost their jobs and are not in any financial position to help, but if you been blessed and are able at this time to assist us will be grateful for it. Our address is the Baptist Bible. Our box 17 oh 37, Cincinnati, OH 45217 just a short time he will be arrested.

John chapter 18 verse three Judas then, having received a band of men and officers from the chief priests and Pharisees, thither with lanterns and torches and read that description and you can get a feel of why the disciples were so by most of them fled.

Peter followed a far off this this is a new situation. They had been there when Jesus rode into Jerusalem on the gnocchi and the people cried. Hosanna, how is that a happy time, although it became evident that there was not what it should been because they were anticipating a different kingdom than what Jesus came to establish that had to be a happy day for now this is grateful the authorities are coming. The coming to take Jesus come with lanterns and torches weapons then the 12th verse says the man and the captain and the officers of the Jews took Jesus and bound him and led him away to know their heart had the sink. How can the space what had such wonderful times. Even the center of our life is been our joy that our teacher is been our deliverer, and now these cruel men. A. What's one of the following, then the crowd would cry crucified inclusive time that was given. There is a pleasure to be released at this time. Which would you rather than have released Barabbas no criminal or Jesus Barabbas go free with Jesus crucified about the killing on the cross and the spikes in his hands and his feet. The crown of thorns down his brow spit on. He's suffering tremendous pain, physically said when a person is nailed to the cross. If they have to push themselves not protect the brass and then back down the whole ordeal in every degree and category is for rent is the pain, but the worst pain of it all will be when he was made sin for us, that we might be made the righteousness of God. All the skin of all of these people put upon, that he was treated led by the father like a sinner because he became sin for us. Jesus knew all this was coming, but he's talking about his disciples.

He wanted them to have joy effectively. 20th verse of this 16th chapter it said barely barely truly truly this is something important.

This is something I want to get I say unto you, that ye shall weep and lament, but the world shall rejoice, and ye shall be sorrowful, but your sorrow shall be turned in the joy he wanted them to know that in spite of the deep sorrow they would feel things were going to stay that way. The very thing that Dr. sorrow would ultimately bring the joy because through his suffering at the cross multitudes would be routine salvation would become a reality that in verse 22 it says and you now therefore have sorrow that I will see you again that your hearts rejoice and your joy. No man take it from you. You're in great trouble now. But you're going to have joy and that Dolby permanent. Nobody can take it away from you, then this 24th verse as you pray in my name and you receive your joy will be full. The subject that's frequently considered in Scripture one that Jesus talked about on a regular basis. The words Jesus is intimately interested in his children and the details of their lives. And he wants them to have joy that sometimes a person will gotta make an excuse for some sinful action that they want to pursue. Often it's brought up in a matter of a marital problem worse. -11. I'm just tired of trying to make this marriage work. I'm not happy and I'm leaving because I know God would not want me to be unhappy.

So what will make me happy is the lead. Well, that's trying to defend sinful action for the very selfish point of view, it's true. God wants his children to be happy but you don't become happy by disobeying him happiness comes by doing what he says by respecting his commandments and his teachings so the 15th chapter verse 10 Jesus says if you keep my commandments you shall abide in my love, even as I have kept my father's commandments and abide in his love.

These things I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full. I want you to continue to rejoice all my joy to remain in you. I want your joy to be full but what you to be constantly in misery or in a spirit of complaint talking about all the troubles in the dark things going on in the world want you to rejoice. I want your joy to be full well Jesus talked about and the apostles under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit in writing.

The Scriptures talked about Paul's in the flipping letter to rejoice all landlord and again I say rejoice, rejoice not just periodically but to rejoice always in the muscle that's an impossibility. And I agree. If that joy was to be dependent on your emotion of the hour or your circumstances of the day, but the joy is as is in the Lord rejoice in the Lord is the same yesterday today and forever so we can continue to rejoice in the end of the book of second Corinthians chapter 1 verse 18. But as God is true. Our word toward you was not gay and they the words there was no wavering. There was no partial truth that wasn't gay and made for the son of God, Jesus Christ, who was preached among you by us, even by me and Salinas and Timotheus was, not gay and they but in him was gay. What we preach.

Was the truth.

We declared for all the promises of God in him are you gay and in him amen under the glory All these promises are EA all of his promises are good all his promises are dependable. All these promises are reliable packs enables us to rejoice and that's what he says in verse 24, not for that we have dominion over your faith, but are helpers of your way for my faith each day helpers of your joy. How is he helping them to rejoice by reminding them that the promises of God are you there yes their positive there were a lot of you can count on it. He would have you to rejoice.

First Thessalonians chapter 5 it says to rejoice evermore in the next verse he says pray without ceasing. If you want to rejoice evermore. Gotta pray without ceasing.

If you would pray and do not want to rejoice in that same thing ball written to the Philippians 20 thing to rejoice always high quality that make your requests known, with thanksgiving, and the peace of God, shall keep your hearts and minds through Jesus Christ, a great blessing given that he gives joy in Jesus.

He was very much interested in the state of mind, the states of heart the welfare of these is disciples to know that in the darkest hour. They never experience they could still find and hope because of what was out for the if we understand the real source of our joy. No matter what our trouble.

No matter what our heartache, no matter what our physical ailment. No matter what the pain we endure. We can find joy in the Lord. He cares if you ever been at that point where you are raising the question. Does anybody really care you can be reassured that if friends and even family members have disappointed you and fight. There is one who always cares.

Jesus Christ cares about his people. He not. He knows her problems. He knows them intimately.

He knows something to struggle with he knows her physical weaknesses sometime to go to the doctor and got a problem in Bakken don't have much of an answer. Dr. Ken always figured out Dr. King figured out.

The Lord knows what Lord knows the pain you feel all of the troubles that you encounter notes and be care and then receive a great assurance provided in verse 27 says the father loves you father loves you. I'm going away weepy that our wonderful times together.

I want you to know that the father loves you for the father himself love with you because you have love me and I believe that I came out from what Sgt. love the father loves you because you love me. What is that mean that these people started loving the Lord and the father in turn based on their action.

No X made clear to us in first John chapter 4 verse 19 we love him because he first loved us is the originator of that love. He's the source of that love that the beautifully about it is the cause of his love. He works in our hearts by the Holy Spirit, we come to love Jesus and then the father loves us even more because we love Jesus so the person doesn't love Jesus. There is no indication that they are recipient of that love that the father has so graciously bestowed upon us the manifestation of that love.

If you say yes I love Jesus, it must be more than just lip service. More than just being willing to sing a song about how much you love Jesus, it's proven by the way you live your loving you demonstrated are you willing to do things his way, you come across Scripture that troubles you little bit, well, you know that's the stressor seems too hard. I just know how to do it this way with something that the Lord has made, very explicitly clear if we loving his way when I can argue about it. Say they be challenging it may be difficult, but I'm going to trust him to give me the grace to get through it. Hebrews chapter 5 verse nine says, and being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him that sent me, that obedience is the basis and cause of our salvation policy, not because by nature. We are disobedient we are subject to the prince of the power they are the spirits not work within the children of disobedience but by grace. There is a transformation by grace, there's a change doesn't mean that we go to reach a state of perfection; on the phone the other names that I'd like to get clarification on something somebody told me that you believe in the box and the perseverance and therefore you take the position.

When the person is born again than ever see him anymore so that's one of the strangest accusations as ever been made against got a lot of death. Think of the absurdity of anybody saying soon anymore. I was there they don't have a very clear side what sin is father to be all the admonition in Scripture to tell us not to sin that there was no possibility that after the new birth. We would ever see in my writing to you that you see in not telling us is that we have an advocate with the father, Jesus Christ the righteous doesn't give us the green light to go our own way and sin, but we know that the weakness of our flexion our own failings. We sin, all of us and come short of the glory of God in the van man say that he had not seen when they got the truth is not in us. But the evidence that we are to use is that we in the general direction of our life, obey him.

That's the outworking of it. That's the evidence of the father loves you. Jesus says, and so you now have access to Q not going to be making your request directly to me as you have in the past you go to be playing the father shall be praying in my name, because he loves you. He's interested in you, he is wanting to hear from you. Hebrews chapter 9 speak to this fact that he is there for us. Verse 24 for Christ is not entered into the holy places made with hands, which are the figures of the true but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us. Read to the book of Hebrews enter how many times over the years that I was reading through the other day and I got that person just like you jumped off the page at me think of Jesus Christ is in heaven itself to appear. He's there in the presence of God appearing for us to think about. You may have voted for somebody to be your representative in Washington and periodically to question whether there really representing you very well and not you had somebody that shares your views completely. You would feel some consolation that you've got somebody there representing your interest in trying to defend the principles that you love and appreciate but think about this having one in heaven appearing for you. So anytime you get to feeling like you're all alone and nobody cares if you got Jesus Christ in heaven appearing the presence of God for you.

You are blessed because major you have a reason to rejoice, no matter how difficult the path he is down here cut joy that is unspeakable and full of glory. Then we see a great truth declared the 28th verse says I came forth from the father and I'm coming to the world again. I leave the world and go to the father.

It really sets forth here. The basic facts of his redemptive work is just a clear summation declaration of what has happened. I came from the father. Here, then he speaks very specifically the fact that he is no ordinary man.

He's divine. Speaking of his deity. I came down from the father said another case in time I father are one.

If were going to appreciate the message of Jesus of her going to understand the gospel have to start with that principle that he was not just an example, not just a teacher. He is divine he came down from the father. Then he says, and I'm come into the world. Here is his incarnation, the word was made flesh and dwelt among us.

He came down from the father. He came in the world.

He was born he became a man sent extracts beyond the grasp that thinking of us can fully we have complaints about faith, how can it be that he was fully God and fully man. At the same time he was and asked what was necessary for him to be our Redeemer to rescue us to save us to pay the sin that came in the world.

And then he says and I go to the father hears his exultation he had humbled himself, and he shut the form of a servant humbled himself the cross-appeal of the death of the cross that horrendous time that we prescribe what was there upon the tree of the cross, suffering so being fueled by his adversaries, but after he'd gone into the grave, and you know they deported soldiers to stand guard less the disciple to come and try to steal his body lay, but we find morning when some were going up there to the tomb to pay their respects. Stone was rolled away. The tomb was empty and the angel said CMI is rightly attempted. He's already gone. He rose from the dead four days later he ascended back to glory, where he ever lives to make intercession for us is exultation and then we see a great lesson learned in verse 30. I say now are we sure that thou knowest all things and need is not that any man should actually buy this, we believe that thou came us forth from God and Jesus said on them, do ye now believe same as it may be seen in the tone like you mean after all this time.

Finally caught up finally decided that you believe. Well for the lesson to be learned here. No doubt this expression of faith was genuine they were. They were sincere.

Save now now now we were sure now. Now we believe that you came forth from God.

But there's a bigger presumption in it now. Now we're settled now.

We believe that we will arrive but in the short time it will falter Jesus as stars coming purely scattered about his own going to your own family will go back to your own house, spread out admin prophesied in Old Testament times that when the shepherd would be killed. The sheep would be scattered so here they are saying now. We believe in. Peter had said no Lord. Everybody else may forsake you, not me.

I'll be right there. And yet he did not the Lord claimed that he did not know when he was not one of the followers of Jesus, so there was indeed something of a presumptuous attitude on their part.

Here's the lesson for us to learn from that never get to the place that you become so self-assured, so independent, so satisfied that you feel like I got it altogether. Lord I cut out I now believe I favor strong.

I'm going to falter. Let him that think it's the stand that take heed lest he fall. As soon as you look at others and you see their faults and their failings and their sanded out terminally. Everybody else is doing, but not me.

I'm not altogether you're in trouble. So these disciples make their claim that because altogether and they soon were scattered. Jesus said, you leave me alone yet. I'm not Jesus was alone when those soldiers took away all of his disciples forsook him and fled.

But he said I'm not alone because the father is with me and he was with him, except for those moments when our sin was put upon them on the cross and he had a crop, my God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me some of his said he was alone, that we might never be alone and he was forsaken that we might never be processed comforting to see how Jesus speaks to his disciples as he nears the end he comforts him. He said back in chapter 14 let not your heart be troubled you believe in God believe also in me. I'm going to prepare a place for you. Come back and get you to be with me that while I am maybe also, what what words of comfort here gives of the promise of better times because this is when the spirit come greater works than I have done is vitally interested in their joy. So as we observe his interactions with his disciples, we see that he love them some 13 one said, having loved his only love them today and then he proves it in every detail, and the fact is, if you are a believer in Jesus Christ. If you're one of his today if you been born again, he love you care for you interested in every detail hymn writer does Jesus care when my heart is playing too deeply for mirth or song as the Burton's practice and the cares distress in the way grows weary in law. Does Jesus care when my way is dark with a nameless dread and fear.

The daylight fades into deep nightshade does he care enough to be near all yes he carries. I know he cares his heart is touched with my grief when the data so weary of the nightshirt. I know my Savior cares what joy that brings us the most challenging times of life, he cares where you today you say believe he cares for me because I love him.

I believe in the loving because he first loved you. And if you're loving you won't want to follow them in the baking.

Once again, I encourage you to write another snow that you've listen to the program. If you'd like to get the complete message on CD requests that when writing this at Baptist Bible power box 17 own 37, Cincinnati, OH 45217 Richard next time.
