The Way, The Truth, and The Life - Part 2 of 2

Will you come to today's edition of the Baptist Bible with the cerebrum on Thomas Mann for another message from God and the fact is that the way might seem right demand but it's not the way that leads to God and to take that position. I am the way, the truth and the life in first Timothy chapter 2 in verse five it says far, there is one God and one mediator between God and man, the man Christ Jesus. One mediator, one way to have access to God, not through some preached not through some canonized saint, not through some church but through Jesus Christ and him alone.

Jesus is the only way all how we need to lay hold of that in this day when there are so many that take another position even among professional Christians in this effort to get rid of the offense of the gospel to try to bring others in an uncomfortable with all ideas and religions tend to be a watering down this basic truth, friends. This says that if you deny the testimony that God has given concerning his son, that he is the Savior of sinners and he is the only way then you're calling God a liar where you stand today you believe what God said you believe what Jesus said when he said I am the way to deny that truth is not only to call God a liar, but it's to join with the critics of Jesus. John chapter 10 verse 20 and many of them said he hath a devil and is mad why here. He and I would think you'd not be present in this congregation today. If you are prone to agree with those Jews who brought such accusations against Jesus but I hope you can see that anybody that is headed down that road. Anybody that's in the position that they're going to deny what Jesus said, calling God a liar joining with the critics of Jesus who said he had a devil, and he was mad without his mind. There is no other way.

Jesus is the way acts chapter 4 verse 12. There is no other name given among men whereby we must be say no other name. I think about it a minute since the Scriptures make this declaration. There is no other way. And Jesus says I am the way and God has confirmed it throughout his inspired word.

What finally it is to try to find another way was allotted to say I'm I'm I'm not sure that's what I really need. I'm not comfortable with that and I don't like that narrow way of thinking how foolish to try to carve out another way. When God says there is the way and Jesus is it the second thing he says I not only have the way I am the truth man by nature is in darkness. All we has some God-given abilities man in his natural state can do some remarkable thing he can design a large building. Others can come on-site and constructed some of the structures we see today are rather amazing. It can display such talents as being able to build an airplane or a rocketship can perform surgery he can develop some interesting philosophies. He has abilities in the natural realm, all of which really are God given when it comes to the spiritual realm is in the dark doesn't have understanding. He doesn't have knowledge book of first Corinthians chapter 2 verse 14 says that the natural man receive is not the things of the spirit of God, neither can he know them, for they are spiritually discerned man in his natural state cannot receive the things of the spirit of God.

He doesn't comprehend them. He doesn't get them payment he may be extremely intelligent. He may have many degrees to indicate how far he is gone and his educational pursuits he may have monuments to his name to display the discovery that he has played a part in the structures that he is help bill but the fact is, he does not understand he is in darkness. Romans 311 says there is none that understand man is under the power and influence of Satan who is described as being the father of lies is with Jesus words in John chapter 8 verse 44 Ye are of your father the devil, and the lust of your father ye will do.

He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth because there is no truth in him.

When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own, for he is a liar and the father of these are the words of Jesus. Jesus didn't hold back.

Jesus didn't water down the message so that he would not offend somebody he spoke the truth and he says you give an indication that you are of your father the devil, he is the father of lies's is a man by nature is in that kind of darkness. Not imagining it. All that he was in such a terrible state, being proud of his own understanding another's accomplishments. He is involved in that which is for his own benefit, his interest, his activities are self-centered, not God centered on fulfilling what Christ said to love the Lord thy God with all by my heart, soul, man by nature doesn't have truth he is in darkness.

Jesus is the truth. I am the way, the truth and the life. John chapter 1 verse 17 for the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ. Grace and truth. And then John chapter 18 verse 37.

If my kingdom were of this world then would my servants fight that I should not be delivered to the Jews. Everyone that is the truth here. My Jesus came to bear witness of the truth, he is the truth and those that are of the truth hears my voice they respond they accept his message, so he comes as the truth. He manifests the truth about God, he didn't just come to proclaim truth didn't just come to talk about a doctor and he came as the truth.

He manifests the truth about God. First of all, he manifests the fact that God is a person, God is not some unidentifiable force is a person and so Jesus was a person here lived upon this earth and interacted with people and was recognized as being a miracle worker, teacher will proclaim a great message because it was said of him that he spoke as no other man had spoken look at the book of first Timothy chapter 3 with this confirmation of the fact that he was God in the flesh, and that he was displaying what God is like. Verse 16 first Timothy chapter 3 and without controversy great is the mystery of godliness.

God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory wasn't say the mystery of godliness. God was manifest in the flesh. So as Jesus Christ was here on the earth. Jesus said to his own disciples. If you've seen me. You've seen the father, God was manifest in the flesh. In Jesus we see that God is holy because his critics in spite of the fact that they made their accusations could not not find any actual fault in him even pilot had to say himself finding him no fault at all. Jesus was a perfect man, and so he reveals the fact that God is holy. Furthermore reveals that God is a loving, gracious and merciful God, but the very fact that God gave his son God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believes on him should not perish but have everlasting life. The very fact that Jesus Christ came is a proven indication of the love of God and then the love that was seen displayed by Jesus as we observe his life. We see that he is the truth. He presents himself as the living truth. The truth about God that he says not only am I the way and the truth, but I am the life without Christ, man is dead in sin. Now I imagine somebody listening to a message like this and saying the preacher don't you realize a lot of the things you said a rather insulting you haven't spoken very highly of the human race. You've talked about men being in darkness being enslaved to Satan and how you going on and talk about them being dead in sin, but this is the biblical description. This shows how desperate man state really is going to take more than his own sincere effort to rescue him is going to take the power of Almighty God. It's going to take the bracelets given through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in Ephesians chapter 2 verse one. He says you happy Quicken who were dead in trespasses and in sin that was your state before you were born of the Holy Spirit, yet still active able to do things in the natural realm able to send an offend God but dad from the standpoint of spirituality.

Chapter 4 in the book of Ephesians verse 18 says having the understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them because of the blindness of their car was a sight. They are alienated from the life of God. They are dead.

But Jesus Christ is life. He is life and he is the life giver. John chapter 10 verse 10 says I am come that they might have life and that they might haven't more up abundantly came to give life to those who are alienated from God dead in trespasses and in sin. And then we look at John chapter 5 verse 25 verily, verily I say unto you, the hour is coming and now is when the dead shall hear the voice of the son of God, and they that fear shall for as the father hath life in himself, so happy given to the sun to have life in himself wears a life come from life giver from Jesus Christ, that hour is coming and now is the dead shall hear what voice they got it here more than the voice of the preacher they got to hear the voice of the son of God who speaks powerfully within and quickens at one who is dead in sin that we recently looked at the 11th chapter of the Gospel of John of the conversation that Jesus had with Mary and Martha, and he made that wonderful statement in John 11 verse 25 I am the resurrection and the life he that believe it's in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live at. Whosoever liveth and believe within me shall never die. Believe us down this Odyssey was talking about physical death but is talking about that which is described as the second that not annihilation but those at the great white throne judgment who are cast into the lake of fire are described as dying. The second day officially ultimate death, meaning it is an alienation for ever a separation from God, suffering his wrath, which they rightly deserve. But in contrast, he says whosoever believe within me shall never die, will live with him eternally. Where are you today are you in the way Jesus says I am the way the father is pleased with the sun and he said in Matthew chapter 17 in verse five the holder voice out of the cloud, which said, this is my beloved son in whom I am well pleased. Here he the critics of Jesus thought that he was mentally disturbed. They could not embrace such a narrow doctrine, but the father in heaven spoke in audible voice which others were able to hear this is my beloved son pleased with him.

I'm pleased with this life.

I'm pleased with his work son pleased with his message. So what he says I am the way the father says I'm pleased with this and what then here he will you hearing today.

He says I am the way, there is no other way and he declares him that cometh on the me I will in no wise cast may say well I don't know if I understand enough.

I don't know if I'm good enough.

I can tell you upfront you're not. You're not good enough but he's not inviting the good and the worthy of the knowledgeable. He says him the cometh on the me I will in the wise cast out. You see your need of the Savior. What is it mean to come to him as to believe that you come to him today and be in the way for Jesus is the way the truth and the life the way, the truth, the life of the title of the student.
