Above the bar below are known comes to you under the direction of Elder Lucero Bradley Junior, pastor of the Cincinnati primitive Baptist Church will and this is Sherry Bradley Junior inviting you to stay true in front of the message of God's sovereign grace. This month we are celebrating the completion of 67 years on the air with fish broadcasts and we have a special anniversary packet to send to all listeners who will write and requested it has one CD with a message on the glory of God, and another with 14 humans, many of which you've heard on this broadcasts and would like to send you the current condition of our publication, which also contains a message on the glory of God and one on prayer by a W.

Pink. Our address is the Baptist Bible, how 17 oh 37, Cincinnati, OH 45217. Please mention the call records of the station for which the program comes to you on the website where you hear that address once more is the Baptist Bible.

Our box 17 oh 37, Cincinnati, OH 45217 in a will and beautiful Hume certainly speaks to the theme that were emphasizing during this anniversary month hallelujah praise Jehovah from the heavens, praise his name, praise Jehovah in the hires all his angels praise proclaim all his host together praise.

Yes, we want to give him the praise that you do is name.

This truth concerning the glory of God and our responsibility to give him glory through praising him or something that permeates the whole Bible. And I hope that this message today as we bring the second part of this message from the model prayer that we are to pray hallowed be thy name will be a blessing to you and if you would like to get the complete message on CD requests that writing this, the Paris, hallowed be thy name, which is the case in our first concern for his glory requests that we might should be subject to this soft it's not wants.

It's his glory. It's not comfort it's his glory hole in the midst of our struggles and situations we can sometimes described as being our miseries in life, the uppermost in her mind is one of the consultant desiring comfort God is described as being the God of comfort and it's good to know that we can turn to him far but the point here is something more important concern comfort.

The relief of the pain that we currently feel the stress that his glory behind me for my name be honored in my situation may take it may mean that the pain will persist for a time, it may mean it may mean the gospel of John chapter 12. These are the words of Jesus in verse 27 he says now is my soul troubled, and what shall I say father, save me from this, but for this cause came on this Jesus is in trouble. That was pain in his heart.

At this moment, but shall concern for my own comfort here actually deliver me from this cause came.

Father, glorify thy name what is prayer asking to be thy name came a voice from heaven saying I have both glorified it, and will glorify again. I sometimes wonder if your prayers are the quality that God will hear. Pray for the right asking for my requests become selfish and greedy, but you can rest assured of this when you're praying Lord, glorify thy name you're playing a biblical prayer you praying the kind of prayer that God will hear it pray the Scripture doesn't mean you're adopting the Jesus condemned this before giving this.

This model prayer you think your purse or your mother speaking.

Are you just reciting the words many times just to take your lips, the very words that were praying long ago over the psalmist and the others you know your own praying Brandon, you know you're standing silently when you're praying in harmony with what God's word teaches, and so I request should always be subject to our life should reflect it.

If we are praying be thy name. How dare we pray that God will magnify his name. His name that his name will be recognize and pray about others. If we fail to live in harmony with the very present with our life must reflect first of all we do that we do it by acknowledging that he is Hebrews chapter 11 verse six says that we are to make acknowledgment in coming to him.

But without faith it is impossible to please him, for he that cometh to God must believe that he is that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him acknowledging that he is the true and living God that he lives. He reigns, he is ever lasting to everlasting were calling upon him, trusting him were bowing in submission to him. Secondly, our life should reflect it by walking in the fear of God.

Second Corinthians chapter 7 verse one.

Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God. We are praying that God's holiness will be displayed that there will be a greater appreciation of his majesty and his greatness. How then be reflected in our life that we cleanse ourselves by putting away the filth of the flanks not yielding to the temptations that do so easily. Processes in this day there are so many things surrounding us which would lead our minds down the wrong path. So much of the material that's in magazines and on television and in the movies is a far cry from that which would lead us to think holy, godly, righteous thoughts. The weakness of this whole carnal nature is always ready to submit to temptation is not being guarded against.

Let us put away the filthiness of the flesh, perfecting holiness in the fear of God really fear God. I would really like it.

One thing to say. Fear God. It's another thing to conduct ourselves in such a manner that it is evident that we do indeed fear him. Number three. Our lives are reflected by acknowledging the truth about God son just enough to say I believe in a supreme being.

I believe there is a God but me talking about the true God and the truth about the true God.

Psalm 34 verse three says: magnify the Lord with me and let us exalt his name together. I will exalt his name if were not speaking the truth about somebody that I believe in God but God is often frustrated that things that God wants to do that he can't know that language seems preposterous. You can hardly imagine that anybody would voice but I've read after certain writers who put it down in black and white there some things that God would like to prevent but it's beyond his control, but a horrendous thing to think that the God we worship would be limited as her things and he could not help things and he wanted to put together. It just wouldn't work. But we want to speak the truth about God, that God is powerful. Psalm 119 verse 60 says God is good is not only powerful is not only sovereign but is good, so whatever he does is good. You may not even see the good in it. You have a quick question about many issues. I don't understand this.

I don't understand why God suffered this event to touch my life for why God doesn't just stop all suffering in the world. When you understand it or not, God is good. What he does is in harmony with his holiness with his perfect character before which is reflected by acknowledging his mercies old God is a merciful God so gracious to us. Never suggest that God has been unfair that God has ignored you overlooked. You failed to give you such mercies as you would desire. If you start on the premise not worthy of the least of his mercies as the state of the truck. Jacob, the metal set the stage for the whole scene.

God doesn't owe me anything. God is not obligated to, you so anything you get this good and worthwhile is mercy. Psalm 105 verse 10 give thanks on the Lord, call upon his name, make known his deeds among the people saying to him sing psalms on the him copy of all his wondrous works glory. He in his holy name.

If this is again upon the fact that his name is holy glory in his holy name. The heart of them rejoice that seek the Lord. Seek the Lord and his strength seek his face evermore. Remember his marvelous works but if none is wonders and the judgments of his mouth, acknowledges mercy, give thanks to Lord I stand in all of them, mercy. I know without had dealt with me according to my sins and rewarded me according to my iniquities. I would've been consumed by the wrath long ago a princely for the mercy and grace and number five if were going to reflect our confidence in God's holiness, which have had to live a holy life. First Peter chapter 1 of the 15th verse, but as he which hath called you is holy solely he holy in all manner of conversation because it is written, the holy, for I am holy but an admonition. It's easy to say, well, I can't make it, so I thought my hands though, we realize that none of us will ever reach a state of sinless perfection in this life, but we know the grace of God because of our relationship with Jesus Christ.

We can have victory over sin and not be continually defeated by the holy even as I will look at chapter 2 verse nine but ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood and holy nation. These are his chosen people are a holy people, a peculiar people, that ye should show forth the praises of him was called you out of darkness into his marvelous light and living is for life.

Your to be showing forth the praises of him who was called seeing the holiness of God should change our whole thought pattern about sin. RC Sproul expresses it so powerfully in his excellent book the holiness of God. He says this sin is cosmic treason. Sin is treason against a perfectly pure sovereign is an act of supreme ingratitude toward the one to whom we owe everything to the one who is given us life itself.

Have you ever considered the deeper implications of the slightest sin only saying to our creator when we disobey him at the slightest point we are saying no to the righteousness of God. We are saying God.

Your law is not good. My judgment is better than yours. Your authority does not apply to me. I am above and beyond your jurisdiction. I have the right to do what I want to do, not what you command me to do the slightest. Sin is an act of defiance against cosmic authority. It is a revolutionary act. They were in Vegas in which we are setting ourselves in opposition to the one to whom we owe everything.

It is an insult because holiness" I daresay if we can keep those thoughts perpetually in our mind, it would make a significant difference in our life. Understand that when we are sinning we are saying I don't care. God what you said.

I'm going to do what I wanted to. It's an act of defiance and active, complete with thing gets a holy God of heaven and earth. When we pray than the model prayer, hallowed be thy name, get up to have a practical influence in our life and then our petition is that he will hallow it subtly and acknowledgment that God is holy but we are praying more work in a mighty way which will exalt your name which will display your glory which will enable others to see something of your Majesty.

In Exodus chapter 14 of the 17th verse it says and I told him I will harden the hearts of the Egyptians, and they shall follow them and I will get me honor upon Pharaoh and upon all his host upon his chariots, and upon his horsemen and the injections shall know that I am the Lord when I had gotten me honor upon Pharaoh upon his chariots, and upon his horse to sketch down to a basic issue of whether we comprehend the holiness and majesty of God because we are creatures of the earth and we are contaminated by sin. We tend to think from the human vantage point and were thinking how could God have commanded his people to have moved forward in such a way that innocent people to purchase have gotten me glory. I got me a name that's Pharaoh's house was drought of this, is it well to take the lands of the Canaanites and the Hittites and the highlights. What is missing fire. Innocent people die. Let me assure you this God has never been involved in the destruction of anybody who is innocent, but there was a flood of Noah's day on the destruction of Sodom tomorrow or any other judgment that God has sent he's never centered upon the innocent cause of all the sin and come short of his glory. But what was his ultimate purpose here to get him a name and that's what we're praying when we pray, hallowed be thy name we pray Lord get DNA may name be magnified before our day that others may see how are on the throne. They may not be able to comprehend what God is pleased to do. We can certainly pray for revival in his church. We can certainly pray that God will work in our lives individually. We concert. I pray that God will work among the nations of the earth, in whatever form he may be pleased to do it, but that in the in our whole concern and desire is that whatever the circumstances, he will get Lori the 15th chapter of the book of Exodus, verse one, then sign Moses and the children of Israel the Saul of the Lord in slick saying I will sing on the Lord for he has triumphed gloriously in the horse and his rider had been thrown into the sea. The Lord is my strength and song, and he is become my salvation. He is my God and I will prepare human habitation. My father's God and I will exalt him more as a man of war, the Lord is his name Pharaoh's chariots and his host at the cash into the sea, his chosen captains also were drowned in the Red Sea, the depths of Cumberland facing in the bottom as a stone, thy right hand Lord is become glorious in power, thy right hand, the Lord dashed in pieces the enemy and in the greatness of mine excellent say, thou has overthrown them that goes up against the assets forth on wrath, which consume them as stubble with the blaster not nostrils the waters were gathered together and the flood stood upright as an keep in the mix were congealed in the heart of the sea and he said I will pursue. I will overtake and I will divide the spoil mindlessly satisfied upon them. I would draw my sword in my hands of the straw that the outage move with my weekend and the sea covered them and they say because land in the mighty waters who is like the Lord of the God who is like that of the glorious holiness, fearful in praises doing wonders Saul of time when this victory was enjoined as it appeared there could be no way of escape.

These Israelites were coming out of 400 years of bondage minimum or they had no weapons. The Red Sea is before them in Pharaoh's house is behind the house listing opened the waters provides a drop for them to cross Pharaoh's post came in hot pursuit sent the ones back together and this post was drowned. The people recognize this was done not by their plan scheme to ingenuity, but the power of God and the giving glory and praise and say that he is glorious in holiness, fearful in praises doing wonders if not, I can easily see what God think she because they were first-hand witness of the demonstration of God's power. This was all easy to perceive because they observed, but as we pray, hallowed be thy name.

Let us remember that God does not always work in the same fashion.

Whatever he does is in harmony with his public character. But sometimes what he does is not so readily apparent to us. We think of Joseph, who went through such pain and anguish of being the object hated by his brothers sold into slavery falsely accused, left, and Chris was God at work. Very much so later Joseph would say to his brothers, you meant it for evil but God meant it for good. There are things that may be imposed upon us by others that they intend for evil and God may turn it around and bring something good in many of our afflictions. We don't understand Lord why this suffering and why now, but if our first and foremost desire. The prayer Harkins hallowed be thy name willing to trust it during those days when we do not see and do not understand why this continually be a part of our prayer life that we follow the pattern set by Jesus were praying our father which art in heaven, for the privilege what so the stars what comfort this provides that were praying to our father in our first primary concern must be hallowed be thy name by Don name be magnified in my life if my plans are for. If my life is disrupted by various trials and burdens help the bow in humble submission help me never to murmur and complain but help me, that I may glorify thy name may thy name be hallowed and praise in the earth, nor is on and Jesus taught us to pray how long Levon would be our desire that all that we say in all that we do that. His name may be, that it may be, that it may be poor, yes, the theme of giving glory to God is one that permeates the Scriptures to Shirley that which would be uppermost in the minds and hearts of God's people in every detail of life closer to him for his greatness power and majesty for the great salvation that he gives us through Jesus Christ hope that you will guidance and until next week. At the same time with the Lord richly bless you all.
