The fire additional share. Bradley Junior welcoming you to another broadcast of the Baptist Bible. She will be will will and you and you will you and you and you will I invite you to visit our website@baptistbiblepower.org number of messages available which you can listen to are also articles information about this work, and if you'd like to make a donation you can do that at the website that's Baptist Bible out or Dr. Cork were continuing the message today in God we trust you sit on the Sunday broadcast a couple months ago but I think in the midst of this crisis that we need to be reminded of this theme in God we trust. So today we bring you the second part of that message.

John chapter 5 verse 40 Jesus sets and he will not come to me that it might have life, you will not come will not come because you're not interested in coming out somebody might say, all right, have heard the Jesus will be your friend.

I need a friend I like to have Jesus become a friend.

I've heard that Jesus will love him to diseases.

I like to have somebody here.

My diseases have have heard that you will be prosperous if you follow Jesus much. I'd like to sign up but when you bring the message. The fact that you are a sinner and that you cannot boast in any of your accomplishments and you have no righteousness to plea and when you see Jesus Christ as the Savior. It means that you trust. You now acknowledge he is Lord of your life. This means total surrender. I'm giving up my determination to do what I wanted to know where I want to go. I'm going to be surrendered person by nature to have that desire.

So is that you will not come to me and in the next chapter John chapter 6 verse 65 therefore set out on to you that no man can come to me, except it were given to him. Father shows the absolute impossibility of man dissipating in his own salvation. Doing something to make it a fact coming of his own will and accord in nature. So there's a dark picture painted when you see man in his ruling state say that he is a center and the site of a holy God that he cannot contribute to a salvation that he cannot currently does not want to come. What's the hope fine. But here's the good news. The book of Galatians chapter 4 reading in the fourth verse, but when the fullness of the time was come, God sent forth his son, made of a woman, made under the law, to redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of son, here comes the solution to the sin question man unable to save or help save himself, but at the appointed time at the fullness of time, God sent forth his son, he came here he was under the law. He came to redeem those that were under the law.

The curse of the law that they might receive the adoption of sons.

He came to do for sinners what they could not do for themselves is good news then to hear the gospel story and to hear it over and over again to know that our hope is not in anything that we could ever have done can do or might do, but totally what is done and accomplished for us by Jesus Christ when he came going to the cross, paying the price redeeming his people.

Hebrews chapter 9 verse 26 but now once in the end of the world have.

He appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself.

And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment, so Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many, and under them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation he came he put away sin he had prepared for that purpose. He put away sin by the sacrifice of himself that he says it's apartment in the men once to die.

Exit subject. Many people would prefer to avoid everybody. You should be aware of the fact that we are fragile, frail human beings and that something were going to die generally young people in particular like to put that way, office a lot better. Long time no matter have to be thinking about the but the reality is to face God and he says after death there is judgment so personally say today what I believe there's got to make God go away resume saying I don't I don't believe that God would ever judge anybody and inflict any pain or suffering upon them, but that doesn't change the fact that there is judgment coming those on the left hand, are sent away from him depart for me.

He cursed and they will suffer in the lake of fire forever. There is a day of judgment that is coming, but Christ's was once offered to bear the sins of many, went to the cross to do work according to Isaiah chapter 53. He said he shall see of the travail of his soul and be satisfied he was not disappointed he was satisfied. He knew he was paying a price and he would get that for which he paid. He would secure them. He died for many. He appeared to put away their sin, and he did so Jesus came in the fullness of time that wasn't God's appointed time. This was ordered and range from before the foundation of the world according to God's purpose, sent him to redeem those that were chosen in the covenant. Sometimes people will talk about the doctrine of predestination.

The doctrine of election than these doctrines as though there may be just for theologians to discuss and haggle about and they really ought to be kind of the bottom of the wrong are in the background somewhere nothing to be talked about that often go to the book of Ephesians and here's the apostle writing a letter to a church in early time's right up front against discuss this great doctrine of God's electing grace and his purpose in predestination. These people had not had access to the various epistles of the New Testament that you are able to read so let's suppose that for the first time this epistle is brought to the church and somebody's got to get up and read it and what are they hearing about, according as his chosen us in him before the foundation of the world that we should be holy and without blame before him in God, having predestinated us according the pleasure of his will. I wouldn't put over the end of the book. That's right up front that's a final doctrine. If you don't understand anything about your salvation you need understand how it originated that it was according to God's choice before time began that have chosen you and accepted you in the beloved. And you were given the Jesus Christ and he came to redeem that was given to him. What a wonderful doctrine. While it is objected to by many an argument against and despised by so that cannot be refuted. It's not just in Ephesians.

It's found throughout Scripture that God had chosen.

I would ask you today if you would to say yes Bridget, I believe, say, is it that you repented of your sin is it that you came to believe Jesus wasn't because you had a more tender heart because you had a greater understanding because you had greater intelligence was or something in you that make the difference if you understand the truth of what scriptures teach you know that there was nothing in you at all that would've attracted the favor of God that the reason you have come to Jesus Christ is because of his wonderful grace about which you saying just moments ago. Amazing grace, how sweet the sound that saved a wretch like me was according to his choice and grace that was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began, and the cause of his redemptive work and because of the effects of drawing and calling the Holy Spirit. He also preserves and keeps his people. They are secure.

Jesus says no man can pluck them out of my father's hand. What what better place. What better security.

Could we possibly had to be secure in the father's hand. And so this salvation is ours, not because of our effort, not because of any merit anything in us that was deserving entirely by his grace, and the next thing the psalmist says in verse five is my soul right now only upon God for my expert Tatian is from him. He is my expectation. You can be expecting every good and perfect gift cometh down from the father. You can expect him to hear you when you call upon you can expect his mercies to be new every morning. You can expect that when you call. Answer: the me is that is and I will answer the until the great and mighty things, which thou knowest not. If we pray aright we are praying with expectation, we must believe that he is an entity is the rewarder of them that diligently seek if you pray, but you produce the throne with the attitude doesn't seem like many, my prayers are answered not expecting anything to problem if you're praying a right to praying with expectation. My expectation he says is from then he speaks of his source of strength verse seven. The rock of my strength and then in verse 11. God has spoken once, twice, have not heard the expect power along with an strength we need.

He says he is the source of my strength rock high-strength you have times when you feel to be physically weak and God is able to give you strength to get through those seasons.

You recognize that there are times that not where you are to be spiritually been weakened and you need help. He's the source of what when where you go to get the strength that you need power and says the longer it took Todd is the God that created heaven and earth to God that spoken about this world into existence when talking about trust and one who has unlimited potential. We can depend upon him the strength that we need strength to run the race strength to fight the battle strength to resist temptation. We need to strengthen so many categories and if we turn elsewhere for lack strength. We will be disappointed. The psalmist says strength is in strength that we need to do the work that we ought to do to serve as we talk to Sir that in verse seven it says my refuge is in God verse eight trust in him at all times.

He people pour out your heart before him. God is a refuge for us. He is our hiding place. Our place of security are place to go when we need comfort. There many sorrows and heartaches and are encountered along life's journey where you going to go for refuge, where you going to go to find help, God is able to give comfort that nobody else can provide. He describes himself as being the God of all comfort. Wonderful to know that we can come and pour out our hearts before him and he will hear us and then verse 12 says, also unto the Lord belong with mercy is not. We need we need mercy because even when we have been saved by his grace had gotten rid of the old land of nature. It's still a conflict. It's still a battle that rages on, but the Lord is merciful. Psalm 103 verse eight says the Lord is merciful and gracious, slow to anger and plenteous in mercy. Is that what we need. We need mercy. We need plenty of it. And that's what he's promised.

So when we come boldly to the throne of grace would come there to obtain mercy, acknowledging our sinfulness, acknowledging our failures, our shortcomings and praying that he will cleanse us from all unrighteousness, which is promised to the third thing is to trust always in God, trust always in eighth verse stands trust in him at all times keep people pour out your heart before him. You may sometimes have a heavy heart, and you say I would just love to talk to somebody could really understand me and you're reluctant to open up your heart and describe all your inner struggles but here we are invited to pour out our heart to God and he knows all about us. No need to try to hold something back. You might be talking to a friend and say I need some counseling need some comfort you would tell them some of your struggled with all of but there's no secret with the Lord's. He knows the degree of the burden that your caring. He knows the struggles that you're having with your attitude about her situation. He knows all you can pour out your heart to heal and that's what is inviting us to do and to trust him at all times, in every circumstance and letter what it may be yes.

In the times of prosperity, but also in the times of deepest trouble and sorrow trustee in every circumstance trust him for the wisdom and guidance that you need.

Proverbs chapter 3 verse five says trust in the Lord with all thine heart, and lean not unto thine own understanding.

In all thy ways acknowledge him and he shall direct thy when you need wisdom and guidance were you go to get to the place that you're impressed the wisdom of this world that can be disastrous in your life.

If you're claiming on what had I want to follow the Lord. I will serve Jesus Christ but you being influenced by the popular opinion of the day. Trust in the Lord with all thine heart, lean not to thine own understanding. Obviously must go to his word. You can't just go by what you feel in particular day in general I think God's impression with this waiter that had people tell me that and what they were saying was in direct opposition to what is revealed in Scripture God will never leave you. Contrary to his word. You go to his word and you preferably read it and asked for his God, that you might have understanding and know how to move forward.

Trust him at all times. Always in God. Trust him when you're afraid David said in Psalm 56. Three. What time I am afraid I will trust in the David was this brave young man that the grace of God had defeated Goliath. David was a king David was a strong man, but he admitted there were times that he was afraid at all of us ever honestly have to admit that there are time situations and circumstances in our life, which we are fearful to what we do what we do in those dark seasons.

What we do in those times when were feeling afraid trusting in our trusting him when were walking in darkness may say I can't fully understand my situation at the moment I had custom trouble full of anxiety, try to get some comfort from God's word and I'm not able to find the comfort needlessly is Isaiah chapter 50 firsthand who is among you that fear the Lord understand were talking about somebody here that serving.they fear the Lord and obey the voice of the servants of this is not an individual who is rebellious and disobedient.

This is one who is obedient.

He's obeying the voice of the servant's condition that walk within darkness and that's strange to me. I thought somebody was obeying God that always be like this.

Even that obedient child of God may sometimes be in the car. So what's the remedy led him trust in the name of the Lord and stay up on his God. That's the only picture let him trust in the name and the passage goes on to talk about the dire consequences of those who try to build their own fire, rather than trusting.they try to work that way out of the will without dependence upon the truth you find yourself in a time of darkness you trust Joe certainly found that situation. He was a man that feared God it was Amanda trust the Lord and in short order, he lost his wealth and his 10 children then lost his potential said, though he slay me, yet will I trust him.

He was trusting God. They didn't understand all he was perplexed of a lot of questions he had questions he would like to have answered and didn't have answers to them. But that wasn't going to discourage them from trusting God, even when his wife came as it why don't you curse God and die. No trusting God and mistrusting at all times trust in the maybe sinking in the mire. David described his experience like this in Psalm 69 verse one save mail God for the waters are come in under my soul I sinking deep mire where there is no standing on, the deep waters where the floods overflow very descriptive language when you're at that point, but a difficult time you feel like you're sinking in the mire in the quicksand you take one step looking first solid rock to stand on and you just keep thinking, but as David prayed, he prayed that God would be the one to delivering content delivery and there's where we find our hope and our help.

Can you say today, he only is my salvation to my delight, so I would like to be saved but I don't know if understand it well enough. I don't know if I've got the kind of faith it's necessary.

I have all of these sins that troubled me and make my payment my sins to great. Let me tell you this if you today have a desire to know that you have salvation in Jesus Christ that desire itself doesn't come from human nature without Scripture say that man by nature doesn't seek after God. He seeks after false God T6 after man-made religion, but neither can seek the true and living God until he is moved upon the Holy Spirit. If you have been convicted of your sin and come to the place that you know you need salvation you desire it, and Jesus says in the Ursuline, drink either flavoring, let them come and find rest yes him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out. You might have to say. Like the man who came to Jesus asking that Jesus would heal his son and Jesus said do you believe in is that I believe help thou mine unbelief and that might need to be prayer Lord help thou mine unbelief. May we learn the practical lessons the doctrinal lessons that are in this song though.

Yes, I want to trust only in God. I want to trust confidently in God. I want to trust always in God can do indeed say in God, trust.
