Today we bring you the second part of a message entitled, never a friend like Jesus selling anything to the charge of God's elect is God justifies and then this thought in verse 34 is Christ died yet. Rather, that is risen again and was even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us. To me that one of the strongest verses of the Bible to confirm the doctrine of particular redemption because he argues that because Christ died in his reasoning and the right hand of God and makes intercession for us, that none of them if just one so Christ died to become the apostle has no argument is absolutely meaningless if one so in the father's hand and then be lost been purchased called born-again and still perish and suffer the wrath of God forever has no argument. But he argues from the standpoint because he delivered him up for us because he died and rose again and he's at the right hand of God making intercession for us.

That, consequently, no one can condemn us certainly reassuring to give us tremendous joy and hope amidst the struggles of life to know what disappointments we encounter here we have a friend in heaven completing our case that when we pray were not just asking Lord forgive me my sins and overlook my failures and blessed me anyway.

We know that Jesus Christ is the right hand of the father own high clean that case and to intercede on our behalf than the next person who shall separate us from the love of Christ is wonderful to know that this love is an undying love that we were enemies by nature because of his choice because of his grace because of his effectual calling when I was friends.

These are friend.

He's our dearest friend. He's the friend that we trust the one upon whom we depend and his love… Who shall separate us from the love of Christ. There been some seasons in your life where you had a little question for a moment. Does the Lord really love me. It's easy for doubts to arise when you cannot understand his providential dealings.

When your heart is aching when your body is racked with pain when you suffer great loss Jesus question, saith the Lord really loves me, why is she suffered me to come to this place in my life. Certainly Joe struggled with some of those issues in those dark hours that followed the loss of his children. The loss of his flocks and herds and is well he was puzzled. There were numerous questions and going unanswered, but he did say this though he slay me, yet will I trust you give up.

He's my hope he's my help the Lord, the Lord, take away, blessed be the name of you when you come to your trials and struggles and difficulties in life.

If you can but remember that although the burden is heavy. The road you're traveling at the moment is extremely difficult struggle with conflicts and doubts and fears and anxieties is love doesn't fail who shall separate us from the love of Christ Jeff tribulation tribulation sometimes would appear to separate us love making sure he would not have let this Tribulation Come My Way, Lord, let me have this distress will be persecuted by what I suffer famine or negative is apparently sort. But he says that is written, for thy sake we are killed all the day long we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. Now get this.

In all these things we are more than conquerors through him that this these things to separate us from his love. We are all yours too much like a conqueror. Well, I suppose that the sheet led to the slaughter. Don't feel much like a conqueror but God in his providence. God in his sovereignty is orchestrate events in the lives of his people in such a way that they become a conqueror.

Think about Stephen after preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ was stolen today somebody observing that he was no controversy went down in dismal defeat was a conqueror because he immediately was transported to heaven and saw Jesus standing on the right hand of the father welcoming before he arrived and look at how his testimony has been used down to the census of time to give hope and courage to the people of God in the times of their difficulties.

A powerful testimony. He wants a conqueror. We may never understand what God is doing. But you know we don't have to.

We find the comfort just to know that is doing something just to know that he's in charge to know that he is sovereign, all the tribulation that you may endure all the stress all the persecution, famine, making the sparrow sword. None of these things can separate you from the love of Christ. So he intercedes for you. He continues to love you have sex remarkable in itself because often when I see my own failings.

I say I can hardly stand myself how can he love me but was never on the basis of how charming you were to start with.

I didn't love you because you were so kind and did everything right.

You just had a noble record he loved you. Because of this marvelous, amazing Grace that he still loves you. For that reason you have miserably failed at times we all have his love continues.

Think of when Peter denied the Savior, Peter, Dennis intimate companion for those years of his ministry, Peter, James and John. The three who were closest to him.

They'd seen and heard things the others had not seen and heard you say if ever a man will stand. Peter will stand demonstrated was willing to fight when he drew his sword and was ready to go after those who come to take the Lord away, but out of fear and weakness.

Recognize you all think that is not so you went out with shirt. It was a dark time for him to think that the one who is my Lord, my Savior, my dearest friend, the one that I have enjoyed this great fellowship with for all these days and I have thought for the moment that the Lord was with him, but he wasn't yet that conversation with him sometime later asking him if he loved him and telling him to feed my sheep who wasn't that the Lord selected to deliver that powerful discourse on the day of Pentecost when 3000 souls were added, it was Peter. You may have wandered far. You may have sinned greatly.

You may have been read and throw up your hands in despair and say there's no hope. We surely would not love me because of my dismal failure. Yet he's the friend that continues to love, let me hasten to add that somehow in this day there is often a distortion in the minds of people for friendship should involve some make the assumption that if you're really my friend never confront me about anything. If you really my friend never disagree with me you never challenge me, you will always approve of what I'm doing whatever I want to do is not really a friend. Jesus was described as the friend of sinners.

Did that mean that Jesus did what sinners did and Jesus went where sinners went and participated in their activity and socialize with them now. He was their friend because he came to save them from their sins not approve it but say you've chosen this lifestyle you decide this course of action and I love you anyway.

Jesus Christ was the friend of sinners cast those that were the despicable class of humanity that were rejected by multitudinous Jesus.

Nevertheless, those state but never never is the perfect Savior, the spotless Lamb of God, excuse sin, condone sin cited in making a difference.

In fact, if you want to get a clear picture of God the father with regard to get to toward sin. You see Jesus Christ at the cross, crying, my God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me if you want to see what Jesus Christ talk about CM he was willing to suffer the humiliation of the agony of what took place on the cross to put away sin is not something that can be considered likely not a matter saying this is my personal preference.

This is my choice. This is a way I will live my life. Nobody has the right to confront me friend will tell you the truth, friend is willing to risk. Even the friendship to say you have erred, straight want to tell you about this wonderful friend Jesus. There is hope in him there is a great love abounds and there is forgiveness but he calls you to come back closer to repentance were now more than conquerors, not because were so skilled at dealing with the problems of life because we are strong in ourselves because as a matter fact were not hard for some of us to finally admit most of us were brought up with the idea that will be self-sufficient, independent able to handle whatever comes our way to get to the point that you just have to acknowledge. Lord, I have no strength but I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me. That's X hard personally even mount those words and demonstrate whether daily activities as an oblique Isaiah chapter 40 verse 29 says he giveth power to the flame to them that have no might he increases strength, not just those were running a little short today, not just those that say I need a little boost.

Momentarily, Lord, but I like note to those that have no might he increases strength. Even the youths shall faint and be weary of the young men shall utterly fall but they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength they shall mount up with wings as eagles they shall run and not be weary, and they shall walk and not faint why because though we are weak in ourselves that we have no might he is promise that he will bless us to be more than conquerors through him that loved us what a friend. What a friend we have in Jesus to be able to commune with him. Talk with him in the lonely hours when we might desire the company of a friend and no friends available on even those who would befriend us are not able to understand our burdens, how wonderful to know we have a friend David said in the 27th Psalm when my mother and my father forsake me. The Lord take me up. We would generally think that the last friends ever to turn their back on us. The mother and father. Sometimes that happens and it seems to happen more frequently in the world were living in today where parents will forsake their own children. David said if that occurs, I've still got a friend and he said in Psalm 142 verse four I looked on my right hand and Rachel. But there was no man that would know only refuge fail me no man cared for my soul. Look for help. I look for friends but no man cared for my soul. I cried unto the Lord said, thou art my refuge and my portion in the land of the living will. What a joy to know that you're never the point to say there is no friend there is no one to help. There's no one that cares because he cares. He cares he cares about every burden, but essentially one time so Richard and I know some of these things are bothering me right now seem to be a little bit tricky like I can't believe the Lord is interested in in these details want to tell you that no matter how trivial it may seem to you, he sees every sparrow that falls and if he is not intimately involved with the things that are around us in the world where we live. What about you, for whom he had secured you, but the pain of great's cares for. We were his enemies for his friends because he chose us because he redeemed us because he called us he loves us. He intercedes for us with conquerors through him.

And then there's more starter John chapter 14, the disciples were trouble with the thought Jesus was going to the park from them soon. He says in John 14 one let not your heart be troubled you believe in God believe also in me. In my father's house are many mansions if it were not so I would've told you. I go to prepare a place for you and if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you unto myself that where I am there may be also with a friend. Yes, he says I'm going away for a while but as I go away, I'm preparing a place for you and then I would come back and get you. I will come again, that where I am, there you may be also encouraged at all to give us when the storms of life are raging when the perplexities and difficulties we encounter are beyond our ability to comprehend to know what class there's coming a day that Jesus Christ will return and he will fulfill the promise that where I am, there you may be also more consolation to know when one dies in the Lord that immediately they go to be with him, to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.

We think of our dear brother Johnson, who was here church, but too many weeks ago. Think about how many times we fellowship with him here appreciated those days together and that now he realizes imperfection.

All of those things that we talked about preached about in former times I mentioned at the funeral how brother Johnson first came here, he wanted to make it clear he was simply coming as a chauffeur for his wife.

He didn't want anybody to get the idea that he had any real interest.

He just wanted to be courteous and bring his wife to church and a group of us went to meeting down at Bethany church in Atlanta and he made that clear. Again I want to show for a group down there. I'm willing to drive in and take a group along but don't get the wrong idea. You know I'm not.

I'm not getting anywhere close to this thing. I'm keeping my distance and why we were in that meeting somebody came to me said you gotta come talk to brother Willard. He's over here crying like a baby over there.

Brother Johnson says a lot. I tell you this this thing is just Lord caught up with me. This burden is having can't recall all the details of the conversation, but he gave a confession of his faith in Jesus Christ is that I won't be baptize are so certain. Take care that we get back home now. I will be baptized here. I will be baptized now in Atlanta so we had a bargain) and we baptized him there in that meeting. How how rejoiced to see somebody when the burden is so heavy that they say I want to do it now think that the days of his pilgrimage are injured something far better is now realized there's coming that day when Jesus Christ will return is going to take his friends home to be with enemies by nature, but friends by grace are you a friend of Jesus.

We have God's promise that he will never leave us nor forsake us. So indeed, we can say there is no friend to compare to Jesus Christ. He is the one upon whom we depend in our daily travels in life.

I hope that you will contact us and be back at the same time tomorrow. Until then, this is Sarah Bradley Junior bidding you goodbye and may God bless all day and is in all in the will and all
