“And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me” (2 Corinthians 12:9).

If you'd like to make a donation for the support of the program. You can do that at the website. Continue now with the message. My grace is sufficient. The second thing the sufficiency that we need so desperately is of grace is sufficient for a living.

For the details of Jesus said in John 15 five without me nothing.

That doesn't mean that you can't do the wrong thing that you can't stand with you can do that but you can't do the right thing at 15th chapter, the gospel of John is in the context of fruit bearing. You can't bear fruit. You can't glorify his name. Unless you can heal without me do nothing. But Paul says in Philippians 413 I can do all things through Christ which all things whatever the right things are whatever the good things are whatever the godly things are the things that will bring glory to him, and even bring peace and joy in my own life can do them through Christ can do all things through him. An example Colossians chapter 4 verse five says wall in wisdom for them that are without redeeming the time this talks about to have toward those that are without speaking of those outside the church are those who are unbelievers. Let your speech be always with grace.

Season with salt, that you may know how to answer every man. Now here's just one little part of Christian living. Let your speech be all way. Season with salt. Let it be always with grace that you think about your speech. What about the conversations that you've had over the past week. Were they filled with grace. Did you have a gracious attitude.

If there was a little family spat, a difference of opinion little conflict between husband and wife. Did you handle that with grace was your speech with grace. Was it in kindness wasn't in love when your children had driven you to the brain and you thought I can't take another day of this uprising, and revenge. And that's been going on here in the household was your speech with grace when you dealt with when you have a conflict at work when somebody is unkind to you was your speech season with salt. Was it full of grace is one little area of life is challenging, is it not, but your human nature, human nature is that if somebody put you down and you will see, if you can't top that.

Sometimes it's so done. Kind of in a joking way, but some people say things in a joking way because that's the way they want to get across.

They want to put you down how you deal with this. How can your speech always be with grace is what we have to discover that in every Christian duty in overcoming the world and abstaining from the sins of the flesh in writing our speech be full of grace and glory of God.

We find we are insufficient for the task we consistently and miserably fail, but the apostle Paul says in our text that God's grace is sufficient for us. In fact, he says that there is no to patient that has overtaken is not what is common to man. And with every temptation, God makes a way of escape, that Isaiah chapter 40 verse 29 says he giveth power to the faint, and of them that have no might he increases strength. Some of you not ready to claim that promise said no that's that's not what I need because I've got some strength. I'm not some ability. I've got some ingenuity there over the blessing when you get there when you get to the end of yourself when you really are aware of your insufficiency to know that he gives power to the thing and those that have no might even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall and they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength and shall mount up with wings as eagles they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not think with wings as eagles. That mighty bird that soars into the sky with such power and beauty, you who have been bogged down in confusion and discouragement and despair shall mount with Eagles wings because he is the one who provides the strength sufficient grace is sufficient for everyday living is sufficient for those extraordinary trials. All their troubles and trials of process regularly but there some more severe than others. Paul talked about one of those in second Corinthians chapter 1 verse eight for we would not, brethren, have you ignorant of our trouble which came to us in Asia. We were pressed out of measure, above strength in so much that we despaired even of life death was imminent. We despaired of life, but we had the sentence of death in ourselves, with the purpose here that we should not trust in ourselves, but in God which raises the dead despaired of life we had the sentence of death ourselves with the whole design, one that we might not trust in ourselves. Haven't you noticed from time to time how the Lord has to bring you forcibly to the place that you're ready to trust him talk a good game willing to come and sing hymns about trusting God we have faith in God and saying that I trust from our hearts. Yes I believe in God.

I believe in his word. I do trust. Much of the time you don't really trust everything else. Trusting yourself to trusting other people your trusting resources your trusting circumstances.

The Lord brings you to the place of the source of trials, the greatest of losses. The deepest sorrow, to trusting good game willing to come and sing hymns about trusting God we have faith in God. We sing that I trust from our hearts. Yes I believe in God.

I believe in his word. I do trust. Much of the time you don't really trusting everything else.

Trusting yourself to trusting other people your trusting resources your trusting circumstances. The Lord brings you to the place of the source of trials, the greatest of losses.

The deepest sorrow for you to trusting his grace is sufficient for everyday living is sufficient for extraordinary trials is sufficient for spiritual turmoil that's something that's very real solace both David Islip and others talk about it with some frequency. Psalm 13 how long will file for getting me oh Lord forever. How long will file hide my face from me.

How long shall I take counsel in my soul having sorrow in my heart daily.

How long shall my enemy be exalted over me. Never been there yet play sometimes particular some of you young people that your sale with a lot of doubts you've encountered something in your study or you met friends or you listen to a teacher who is raise questions and you don't immediately know the answer for in a surge of doubt overwhelms you new again asked, do I really believe the Bible believe in God. Just because that's what my parents taught me order. I believe it because it's my own conviction.

I don't know the center-right. Maybe I just live in a sheltered situation. All my life and I've been exposed to the broad scope of knowledge the child here in the world.

This is not all right right. Suppose there is no God.

We are here on this earth just subject chance with no positive destination in view, trying to find difficulty in praying is praying for.

My prayer is God's on the throne of heaven.

This situation touched my life this disruption this heartbreak.

This disappointment how long the more forget me hello Lord I live every day with Sharma heart consider and hear me oh Lord my God like mine eyes lest I sleep the sleep of death. In other words, the burden is so heavy load is consumed and would die if you come to my rescue/my enemy say I have prevailed against him and those that trouble he rejoiced when I moved but I have trusted my mercy, my heart shall rejoice in my salvation I will sing of the Lord because he is dealt bountifully with me all after struggling with the housings of God's face.

He says I'll have to trust in mercy. There's nowhere else to go. There is no other refuge there is no other source. Lord Byron empty plain hopeless. I must trust in him, and when Jeremiah described in Lamentations 3 that he was brought down with his mouth in the dust had been set as the mark for the arrow. He felt that his hope was gone yet in a moment. He said this, I recall them on its of his mercies that we are not consumed. They are new every morning and he once again was restored and hope that we talked about the need of grace. We talked about the sufficiency of grace. Finally, will want to talk about the appropriation of grace. If you're in need of this grace in this grace is sufficient Howdy appropriate.

How do you utilize a claimant is your own. Hebrews chapter 4 Hebrews chapter 4 on the 14th verse seeing then that we have a great high priest that is passed in the heavens, Jesus the son of God, let us hold fast our profession. The high priest under the old covenant occupied an extremely important position.

The high priest in order to go into the holy place and offer the sacrifice had to be at hard in the proper garment when he went in on the great day of atonement to sprinkle the blood of the Lamb upon the mercy seat which was atop the ark of the covenant he had to go from the outer court in the holy place in the holy of holies know the man was allowed there and even the priests could not be there. Save on the proper day if you went another time if you went without blood in the basin. If you went without the proper linen garment bistro God killing on the spot. That's how vital it was the things be done. God's way.

The people were to distance they were out there to listen carefully to the ringing of the bells against the pomegranates on the bottom of the priestly road to know he's alive.

Sacrifice is been made. The blood has been presented.

God has received it on our behalf and how it says we have a great high priest, Jesus the son of God, whose passion the heavens, for we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities but was in all points tempted like as we are yet without sin. What good news our great high priest is not all, but he wants to leave your own earth, and he was my perfect man.

He was the God man.

He was tempted in all points like as we are yet without sin. I can see is a difficult passage for me to file because I know that Jesus Christ was not born with the fallen nature is you and I were Jesus was a sinless man but he was a man.

The only thing I can possibly envision in this is that since he wants perfect people to experience temptation even in a greater degree than we can because we have our breaking point. We can go so far in resisting temptation to cave in. But there was no caving in with Jesus. So when he was tempted.

He knew temptation in its fullest scope. But whatever may all be involved in this, the fact remains that this is God's word that we have a high priest who was here on this earth, and he was by Satan, and he understands when you go to and then asking for help. I need grace to help in the time of need sufficient. I mean, the sufficiency of grace. We have one who understand what I say. He understands that the mean he's likely gracious old grandfather. The petulant child on the head and say that's all right we just overlook that no, he understands, but he demonstrated his attitude about sin was when he was willing to lay down his life and knew that his death was required to put away sin and God demonstrated his attitude toward sin when he treated his son on the cross like we should've been treated. It's not going soft on sin. Sin is horrendous. Sin offends God. Sin brings great sorrow, but we have a high priest who is not so hard and harsh and so far removed that he doesn't understand our frailties. The understands. Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need, come boldly is not given in contrast or opposition to the fault that will come reverently doesn't mean that you become arrogant to come into the presence of God making all kinds of demands as though you deserved it and are entitled to it, but it means you, honestly, you come with frankness you come to pour out your heart to find it difficult to really be completely straightforward in pouring out your heart to someone when you're heavily burdened men especially, have a tough time with that they will approve on tough given enough time.

I work through this. So if you admit to some weakness. If you admit to some problem with you, admit to some struggle. You just admit to a little bit to lay it all out there, but he says you can come boldly to the throne of grace and be honest and frank. The fact is the Lord only knows all about you anyway.

There's no need to try to keep any secrets because there's none from him if ever thought I wish I had somebody really would understand somebody to whom I can just unburden everything to say. I learned a long time ago that you can't trust some people because I unburdened one person and then they told everybody, don't get caught with child very reluctant overhead. Somebody that you just tell it all to them and they'd understand. I want to take that person is available and he's in a position to do something for him because he's the right hand of God making intercession for you. He can forgive you of your past CNN give you grace to overcome your present temptation. Therefore, you can come boldly, you, and you confess your doubts and your fears, your wandering affections poured this a grown man. Sometimes I'm afraid David said what time I'm afraid I will trust in the it's all right to admit to the Lord, sometimes Lord I'm afraid. Lord I made a public profession for the church that I love Jesus Christ and I wish that I love the more intently than I do.

But sometimes my affections wonder sometimes I find myself going after the things the world sometimes just found myself thinking on things and think about you come with complete open confession and you can expect tender sympathy and compassion when you got to Florida I want overcome he will receive the poor sin stained. So it comes to them for help. Chapter 7 the book of Hebrews verse 22 says, but so much was Jesus made a surety of a better testament and they truly were many priests, because they were not suffered to continue a reason of death, but this man, because he continue with ever unchangeable priesthood the wedding forever replacing him. Wherefore he is able also to save to the uttermost them that come unto God by him, seeing he ever live with to make intercession for them.

What good news to the old covenant where the distance couldn't come into the town couldn't come in the holy place on the mercy seat of the Shekinah glory worker separated boldly full of grace to the bar of justice and grace directly in the presence of God.

You don't need the priesthood, you know, some person on earth to intercede for you. You already have one.

If you're a believer in Jesus Christ.

You have one was at the right hand of God, where he ever lives to make intercession for us for such an high priest became us holy farmers on the file separate from sinners, and made higher than the heavens, including the thought daily, as those high priest sacrifice, first for his own sins and then for the people. For this he did once, when he offered himself.

He offered himself without spot to God, and God received the sacrifice you can enter this place at all times. Hebrews 10 verse 19. Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest of the blood of Jesus by new and living way, which is consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh, and having an high priest over the house of God, let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water.

Let us draw near.

So I fear to come know it sinners it sinners who are saved by grace you can come you come to him and submission.

First Peter chapter 5 verse five likewise you younger, submit yourselves under the elder EA all of you be subject one to another, and be clothed with humility, for God resists the proud, and give us grace to the humble.

Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time. Casting all your care upon him for he cares for you. You come and submission. Joan suffered such a great loss. He lost his flocks.

He lost his herders. He lost his family. He lost his health and his wife came and said Job title to curse God and die. He said you speak is a foolish woman that we receive good from the hand of God and not evil you said, though he slay me, yet will I trust.

There was submission grace sufficient grace sufficient for every trial. How wonderful to know that there's grace for us, even when the rod of correction is put upon us.

Hebrews chapter 12 verse seven. If you endure chasing God's dealings with your sons for what son is he whom the father, Jason is not but if you be without chastisement horrible partakers in your masters and not sons for them always had fathers of our flesh which corrected us, we gave them reverence, shall we not much rather be in subjection under the father spirits and live in the chastening rod falls when God is dealing with you and your perplexed and your confusion. You can understand what it's all about you bow in humble submission come to them and submission come to him in faith for his promise.

He cares he cares for you. He says in Hebrews 13, five and six.

I will never leave thee, nor forsake things that we may boldly say the Lord is our helper. Romans 831 says if God be for us, who can be against us.

If God is for you. None can successfully prevail against you.

Paul says my grace is sufficient for the archer. Glad to know that.

Remember you're not left alone and not fighting the battles of life by yourself when the burden is so heavy the sorrow so great night is still dark and long not left alone. Therefore Paul said, I will glory in my infirmities when I am weak, then am I strong the teaching of Scripture is an absolute contradiction to the philosophy of man man says when you're stronger strong. God says when you're weak or strong because then you find your strength in him.

There's a need of grace. I hope you see that and feel that there's a sufficiency of grace, my grace is sufficient for the appropriate coming boldly where to the throne of grace. If you been in touch with the grace of God and never confessed him publicly that opportunity is given use. We stand to sing.

It's reassuring to know that whatever our trial may be matter how heavy the burden God's grace is sufficient for us if you would like to get this complete message on CD requested when writing this addresses the Baptist Bible Auerbach 17 oh 37, Cincinnati, OH 45217 two.
