So here was a direct command from the Lord that Paul now would go preaching the word, which he did, indeed, faithfully, then we find was commanded by Paul himself at a later time as he writes under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit and addresses a letter to Timothy. So this is command of God, and God still calls men to preach.
