About this Bible lower known comes to you under the direction of Elder Lucero Bradley Junior, pastor of the Cincinnati primitive Baptist Church will I and official Sharon Bradley Junior inviting you to stay tuned. Part of the message of God's sovereign grace being a and he and the today will be continuing the message entitled the gift of grace. The text is first Corinthians chapter 1 verse four I thank my God always on your behalf of the grace of God which is given you by Jesus Christ. This message was preached on live stream before we were able to meet again and I make reference to that in the message.

Thankfully we were able to resume having services on the last Sunday of May and we invite you in the Cincinnati area to come visit us at Cincinnati primitive Baptist Church which is located at 128 Parkway in the Hartwell section of Cincinnati. If you would like to get this complete message. The gift of grace on CD request that when writing except the Baptist Bible.

Our box 17 oh 37, Cincinnati, OH 45217. Then he goes on to say that he further desires. While God has given them grace to the saving of their soul. He desires grace and peace for them.

This was an expression that Paul used frequently in introducing the various letters he wrote you can see it in Romans chapter 1 verse seven Galatians 13 in Ephesians 112, and on several other places. This was a greeting, a expression of love and concern about the well-being. The spiritual well-being of other Christians he desires that they have grace and peace and then the next thing he says is talking about these blessings. First he refers to them in the church of God.

He refers to them as saints.

He refers to them as a people who have been sanctified, therefore and now. He further says that they are enriched by him, verse five that in everything. You are enriched by him onto all utterance, and all knowledge. They not only had been bless in the saving of their soul, but they have been blessed, has a church to enjoy the spiritual gifts that would meet for them in this time.

Verse seven says so that you come behind in the gift show.

Even though he's going to be addressing them about numerous problems, part of which would be the misuse of the gifts that they had.

He doesn't want them to feel inferior is that you don't come behind in any gift you you are a church of God, and he has enriched you enriched you with utterance in the works of those who were students speaking there were those who were last in preaching the truth and that blessed with knowledge.

Knowledge of the truth and certainly that knowledge is vital to a healthy church in five people today who say what I just don't think doctrine is important as long as we have love as long as example of Jesus, and oddly enough, the doctrine is important and Paul was correcting some of the errors that were troubling. This church on the doctrinal basis. When you get to the 15th chapter and he goes into great detail about the doctrine of the resurrection. The resurrection of the body, consoling weakness and raised in power so that is a vital issue because he spends a lot of time on well we need to apply ourselves. We need to be students of the word of God as we read his word and pray that the spirit of God will enlighten us and give us understanding as we hear it for that we may give it architecture and pray that were not distracted and that we are learning the things that are taught in God's word having knowledge having a lot of zeal without knowledge leads to problems but to have knowledge is still not enough of them believe it should be a balance of the two. Then in verse seven it says waiting for the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. Now, the original language when it says waiting has this meaning to expect constantly, not only for a certain time, but even to the end till the expected event recently looked at several scriptures in one of our messages about what it means to be anticipating the second coming of Christ looking for looking looking with great expectation that Jesus Christ is coming back so here Paul mentions it again waiting for the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

To expect constantly that maybe when we've dealt with that in a message you give it some thought and say yes I need to give more attention. I need to let that influence my life because John tells us in his first epistle he that hath this hope in himself, purifies himself, and has a purifying effect on our life is where keeping in mind that Jesus Christ is coming back and we're joyfully expecting it. So Paul says we are waiting waiting with expectation you're looking for the coming of Jesus Christ and then as we have looked at the blessings of this grace loosing the source of the God is the giver of it seen the blessings of interest think a little further about the scope of this grace was in the covenant before time began before we had any being in ourselves before the world was create God's purpose to save people so grace upon Ephesians chapter 1 verse five having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will is not difficult to understand telling us that this purpose of God in predestinated the people and predestination is not some pretzel subject in order to be important as some would suggest what is it is the purpose of God to adopt a people into his family predestinated under the adoption of children by Jesus Christ and us according to the good pleasure of his will, not based on the numeric, not based on some unforeseen act, but according to his good will, to the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the blood. If God has blessed you with a clear side of yourself. You know that there is no way you could be acceptable in the sight of God based on your life, your conduct, your thoughts, your attitude, the things you said the things you've done, you see yourself as an unworthy center but he accepts you in the middle of in Jesus Christ. So there is electing grace and then the next verse speaks of redeeming grace we refer to this earlier but just looking at it again, he says, in whom we have temperature through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace so the forgiveness of sins came about that because you were able to make some repayment but because you are able to do something about getting rid part of the debt, but it's according to the riches of his grace, then there is calling grace as referred to back in this first chapter, first Corinthians that were looking at that verse 22 for the Jews require a sign and the Greeks seek after wisdom. Jews were looking for some proof positive and open Jesus performed many miracles, and yet some would come and say I want to sign. I want something more.

I'm not satisfied with what I've seen a required sent the Greeks seek after wisdom, the Greeks cultured educated people who were saying that the gospel was was a foolish message but we preach Christ survived under the Jews a stumbling block and under the Greeks foolishness, but unto them which are called all the difference this makes those that are called wrong with the power of the Holy Spirit, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God. So here would be a Jew that was stumbling, I can't see it.

I can't believe that this man that went to the cross time such a miserable death could be the Messiah.

But when he skull his eyes are open and he comes to understand that what Jesus Christ accomplished at Calvary was the fulfillment of all of those Old Testament type shadows and prophecies and that he did put away sin by his perfect sacrifice, and he rejoices and one who is caught up in worldly wisdom Greeks who is offended by the submission of the gospel that what is called 20 strong.

His heart is open just as it was said that the Lord open Lydia's heart so that she attended of the things it was spoken.

Paul Nava heart is open their eyes are open, and he sees Jesus Christ as his only Savior, second Timothy chapter 1 verse nine who has saved us and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and what grace was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began calling grace and then justifying grace. Romans chapter 3 verse 22. Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe justification is upon all that believe. For there is no difference. Verse 23, being justified freely pound by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus, that sometimes we talk about justification by faith person fails to understand all this, coupled with that in Scripture that all of a sudden your turning away from the idea that it's grace and saying it's dependent upon some act of the individual lives old man must generate faith produced himself, but let's know what is stated in Romans 416 therefore it is of faith that it might be by grace you see faith doesn't discount grace. Faith is not in opposition to grace.

It is by faith that it might be by grace.

For by grace are you saved through faith and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God not of works in a manageable, but when one by the faith that is given above God believes on Jesus Christ. He is justified. Romans 833 says, who shall lay any thing to the charge of God's elect.

It is God that justifies us. Notice how grace is emphasizing these passages with the Ephesian passage chapter 1 verse five the glory of his grace. Verse seven the riches of his grace, then in Romans three is talking about being justified freely by his grace.

Yes, Paul is writing to this church. Beginning his letter, which will contain some agitation. What could be called, some loving rebuke, but he starting with the truth of God's grace, reminding them of who they are what they are because of the grace of God that has been given them and then verse eight speaks of keeping grace, who shall also confirm you under the end that you may be blameless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ, and that one will know grace is not something is given to you and then taken back because you didn't meet the standard that can be grace that would be giving you something you are entitled to it.

When you're no longer entitled to the debt to be taken back. No grace is given to you and he says he's confirmed new under the end that you may be blameless in the name Jesus Christ. Whether they can you anticipate that day with excitement as a that day. I am going to be blameless sometimes blame yourself some time to blame other people sometimes are blamed by Satan, who is the accuser of the brethren that day will be blameless because were being By his power, Paul gives them encouragement, telling them that God will continue the work. This work that has been started is not going to be curtailed when he wrote to the church at Philippi's is inflicting chapter 1 verse six being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it under the day of Jesus Christ. Although you may have days of doubt and discouragement you look at yourself and say I have come so far short and not to attend a Christian out of the FAO their sins of commission and sins of omission. How can I be one of his certainly never can we excuse or defend our sins and shortcomings, but we can come back to rest in his wonderful promises to know that he that hath begun a good work in you will perform is to give up on key may be RJ's company not give up on his is going to perform under the day of Jesus Christ. And then verse nine he says God is faithful, by whom you were called under the fellowship of his son Jesus Christ our Lord, is faithful with sometimes been unfaithful. Others might have pledged friendship to us and proved to be unfaithful, but God is faithful God who cannot live promise the salvation and soak it is sure and then there's more grace.

James chapter 4 verse six says, but he giveth more grace, who talked about a lot of grace to talk about grace in the covered race at the cross, grace in calling grace to sustain grace to keep another's more grace. Wherefore, James chapter 4 verse six says God resists the proud, and give us grace to the humble. If you like you need more grace humbled yourself come humbly before God with no complaint, no murmur, no demands come humbly and he gives grace to the humble grace in our trials. Second, critters 12, nine, my grace is sufficient for the for my strength is made perfect in some of the trials people are enduring during this pandemic are severe people becoming sick spending lengthy time in the hospital on a ventilator friends and family members not able to visit personally with them. Trials are great.

The uncertainty which I currently like even when this viruses clock changes are going to occur. What's going on happened to my retirement was unhappy my life savings was on happened about income Pamela support my family has importance. Great trials, but God says Mark grace is sufficient. Whatever the burden your caring right now. Whatever the difficulty you're encountering God's grace is sufficient. You need help in his grace to help you. Hebrews 416 says doesn't look therefore let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy.

That's what we need to start with and we desire go to obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need grace to help them grace in the books the supply of grace is not about the in that remarkable with all the grace with talked about but this grace that God has given given to his people in days gone by, given to us today and will give them time to come. There's an abundance of John chapter 1 verse 14 the Word was made flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld his glory, the glory of the only begotten of the father full of grace and truth. When Jesus Christ came he was full of grace and is still is verse 16 and his fullness have all we received an grace for grace.

Christ doesn't run out. It just keeps coming grace for grace and then grace is seen even when we get verse 10. Here Paul begins his admonition to the church. Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, that you all speak the same thing and that there be no divisions among you, but that he be perfect joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment that goes on to say I've heard from the house of Chloe that there are depictions but he says I am beseeching you a call brethren loves brethren I beseeching him in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.

I want you to speak the same thing I wanted to be in the divisions there. See he speaks to them in a kind and gracious. He's not even using his apostolic authority to demand something he's beseeching them beseeches them in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and we read that we are reminded of the manner in which he wrote to Philemon concerning the runaway slave Vanessa much when he was coming Philemon verse eight Paul says wherefore, though I might be much bold in Christ to enjoin the event which is convenient says I might be bold and like I might be able to speak forcibly on this thing yet for lab sake. I rather beseech the being such an one as Paul, the aged, and now also the prisoner of Jesus Christ have beseech sleeve for my son Vanessa must whom I have begotten in my bonds, which says the Philemon I'm not speaking with my authority as an apostle making a demand on you beseeching facing this church at Corinth and beseeching in the name of Jesus Christ as described by John Wolford, in his commentary said his appeal was for harmony, not the elimination of diversity he desired a unity of all parts, like a quilt of various colors and patterns blended together in a harmonious whole." They we receive the loving admonition of the apostle-based on grace have beseech you a sense they we receive that admonition that we may speak the same thing and be perfectly joined together as he says in the same that is professing the same truths that we believe the truth we believe the same truth is really what the Bible teaches. And speaking them speaking those truths in the same word as we consider the blessings which came back. Grace on this church. It is no wonder Paul could say hi. Thank my God always on your behalf for the grace of God given you by Jesus Christ and can we not pulsate that we give thanks to God for the grace that is given us through Jesus Christ. Regardless of how great the challenges are that we're facing. During this worldwide pandemic.

We have great reason still to rejoice. We rejoice in the gift of God's grace, we rejoice through Jesus Christ our Savior. One day because of his grace our trials will all be over there be no more sickness no more struggles no more burdens completely with Jesus Christ grace to be with him to see him as he is to be like him to live with him forever.

No disruption, no change, but forever at home with the Lord. The price and praising as we could only presume and perfection of those resurrected glorified bodies to sing that word for that was slain and has redeemed us to God allowing precious blood product data quickly pivoted talking to me about how I desire to get back to church and for us to sing together. I look farther than I love to hear God's people lift their voices insane, but think what is currently in heaven, saying, perfectly in the presence of Jesus Christ. Yes, we thank God for his grace given us. Through Jesus Christ and as the apostle writes to the church at Corinth. In spite of the fact that there were many problems in the church, she said, I think my God always on your behalf for the grace of God which is given you by Jesus Christ or how we can rejoice in the truth of God's sovereign in spite of our unworthiness.

Grace is bestowed freely.

Salvation is of the Lord through our Savior, Jesus Christ.
