I would like to be able to send you a copy of our publication. The Baptist witness their articles in the deal with the crisis that we face at this time. Our address is the Baptist Bible, how 17/37, Cincinnati, OH 45217 just asked for our publication.

The Baptist witness. I will be glad to send it to.

We continue today with the message entitled, looking for the Savior.

The text is Philippians chapter 3 verses 20 to 21 for our conversation is in heaven, from whence also we look for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall change our vile body that may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself. So certainly God's people have a great interest in heaven because their citizenship is there. Their inheritance is there. We rejoice with the anticipation of someday being there forever with the Lord. Your inheritance is there and then several saints are there some that you have known that have gone on to be with the Lord. I think back over the many years that I've traveled among churches, people that I met Holmes were visiting so many of those work. Dear friends have gone on to be with the Lord. I rejoice when I think about the joy that they have the bliss that is currently there because they are present with the Lord. Hebrews chapter 12 verse 22 says, but you come onto Mount Sinai under the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem and onto a new company of angels to the general assembly and church of the firstborn which are written in heaven, and to God, the judge of all the spirits of just men made. Yes, heavenly Jerusalem is inhabited the saints already: and so you have an interest in heaven, and then the Savior is coming from heaven. First Thessalonians 416 for the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shaft tells us citizenship is in heaven is not in that connection there.

And so our affection must be set on those things that are above. Next we consider our vision we are eagerly awaiting his return. Paul says in first Corinthians chapter 1 verse six, so that you come behind in no gift waiting for the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. After waiting for is coming expecting is coming you're anticipating that you looking forward to the next more than just embracing the fact of it. More than just saying yes doctrinally I say I believe the second coming of Jesus Christ would talk about something practical we talking about something that will influence how you think we talk about something, their influence how you live looking expecting waiting for the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. Second Thessalonians chapter 3 verse five and the Lord shall direct your hearts into the love of God and into the patient waiting for Christ's patient waiting, there may be times that you can say all orders will be a wonderful time for you to come back the excited beyond words. If you came back today, but he says it's a patient waiting, no man knows the day nor the hour but we wait we are in eager expectation, but we have patient Hebrews chapter 9 verse 28 seven so Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many, and under them that look for him. Here it is again looking for him under them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation how this vision gives us a different outlook.

If all your focus is on the things of earth. You can soon be saying with Solomon vanity and vanity all is vanity, saith the preacher and writer says change in the K and all that I see all around me is subject to change and decay well. Getting our sites lifted having a vision of what is to come, changes things dramatically you see in it the power of future hope Abraham.

It sounds look for a city whose builder and maker is God, but he lived in a tent even realize the fulfillment of all that was going to be his butt because he expected a closing walk by faith because he was looking to that which was ahead, he faithfully served God. Moses, Hebrews chapter 11 verse 25 speaks of his experience choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season he turned away from a position in Pharaoh's house to suffer affliction with the people of God esteeming the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures of Egypt, for he had respect under the recompense of the reward. He was looking to something richer, deeper, with greater meaning with greater reward than the position in Pharaoh's house. Yes, that look that expectation.

There is power. Power of future hope and then we can see it in the life of the apostle Paul. Philippians chapter 3 verse eight he says I have suffered the loss of all things and do count them but that I may win price. Paul had a important position among the Jews, he could've had an easy life, but he says I count all that but loss all that position. I hand all of the claim of righteousness as a Pharisee of the Pharisees. All that means nothing to me that I might win price that might have fellowship with him fellowship with Christ is superior to everything else, there's one thing that I desire issues. This is this is of utmost importance to me. Can we join with him to say, I may have suffered loss. I may have lost a skier, but rather than to spend all my time bemoaning what ever my loss and difficulty in trouble in trial may have been back and have a closer walk with Jesus. If I can look to that happy day when I finally see him as he is and be with him forever in those losses don't seem so great. We say this principle even in the experience of Jesus. Hebrews chapter 12 verse two says, looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him, not get this endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. Jesus Christ endured the suffering of the cross because he looked ahead. I wasn't going to be a dismal and the tragic defeat, he would. Looking ahead, he saw the joy that was set before him.

He anticipated that day. We read in Luke Hebrews that he will stand in the presence of the father and say I and the children which thou has given me there all here. Not one of them is loss. Yes, because of the joy that was set before him.

He endured the cross, our vision makes a lot of difference. What kind of vision do you have today are you drag down by the discouraging circumstances of the present are you struggling because your plans have been disrupted. Your future is uncertain. Wonder how long is this problem going to exist for people last week what you think. Hello's and have no idea.

I don't think anybody else does all of the estimates and given chains from time to time. Nobody knows, but we do have a future that we know about and that's what we want to consider next her future. Yes, he speaks of changing her vile body, which refers to the body of our humiliation are lonely about his many time humbled by disease, affliction and infirmities of various arts it it it's a body that is weak when it dies. According to verse 20 chapter 15. It is so in weakness for person lives to old age and their tottering along, things are not like they were in earlier years come down to the grave feeble in weakness but he speaks of changing that by is going to be fashioned like his body so weakness but raised in power is going to be a glorious body fit for heaven incorruptible on the five it's going to be a body that can be recognized that the glass make you think will know each other in the resurrection, but it wouldn't be much to expect if you came about a granule just a big blob in the know who you are who anybody else will know there's got to be recognition and know who you are and you know others remember when Jesus was on the Mount of Transfiguration with Peter and James and John of Moses and Elijah put in an appearance. They recognize them after Jesus resurrection they recognized him. Yes, it will be recognition in the resurrected body. Jesus is able to talk. He was able to walk. He was able to eat. He was able to enter a room was close not explain all that this is what to anticipate with this new body. A spiritual body that's raised in power then the text says he will subdue all things, which literally means to arrange in ranks to put all things in order may seem many times that we struggle with conditions that are chaotic as far as God is concerned there is no chaos because he sovereign he's in control he's ruling and reigning in carrying out his purposes, but in this time when Jesus Christ comes back. Everything is going to be put in its proper order. Every enemy is going to be vanquished C and of course the sin debt was paid at the cross every evil hate down. Fear, pain, suffering, sickness, sorrow, disappointment, you name it going to be vanquished all the way. Yes, he will subdue all things.

Romans 829 Zanzibar Limited Forno. He also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren think that conformed to his image.

Just as Jesus had a glorious body in the resurrection is a body that was recognizable. The body that could talk and walk in her room. Even though the doors are locked. You have the same antibody Jesus had conformed to his image no more wickedness no more temptation no more frailties no more sorrow to be with him forever. Revelation chapter 22 verse three says, and there shall be no more curse, but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it, and his servants shall serve him and they shall see his face and his name shall be in there for him, and there shall be no night there. No seasons of darkness. No seasons of fear and anxiety and they need no candle, neither light of the sun for the Lord God giveth them light and they shall reign for ever wonderful to anticipate that glorious time now.

Our response was in response doesn't influence your conduct to believe in the second coming of Jesus Christ is what John writes in his epistle, he that hath this hope in himself, purifies himself going to have an impact. Questions to consider how would you feel if Jesus Christ came back today. How would you feel about your walk at the present time would be a time that would be a bit awkward so I come back, anticipate that, but I don't have things in very good shape day.

But if were going to be influenced by this truth in every day that we live off to be lit up with the thought Jesus Christ may come back today.

Is it possible that you are ignoring or defending even some sins in your life. Try to make excuses for them. They are prayerfully that of the hymn writer said, Lord Jesus, how long to be perfectly whole. I won't leave for ever to live in Marshall break down every I don't cash out every photo. Now watch me and I shall be whiter than snow whole to make that up or break down every time cashed out every full are you harboring bitterness, or resentment. Have you refused to forgive where forgiveness is in order. If you were to be in the presence of Jesus. Today he came back and you were conversing with him, with the be some of these issues you've tried to ignore that would indeed be instantly brought to light.

Are you a self-centered person thinking only about your own comfort your own interests or do you have the spirit of a servant, Jesus became a servant humbled himself to the death of the cross. If were followers of Jesus where to have the servant spirit are you avoiding sin not just because of the consequences because you want to avoid you because you know it grieves the Holy Spirit of God in the marsh or fellowship with Jesus you shape are you avoiding sin because you recognize, citizen of heaven. You want to be able to say with a firm is recorded in the book of Hosea.

What have I to do anymore with items you wake up to the fact I am a citizen of heaven. My prayers go to heaven.

My father is in heaven. My inheritance is in heaven.

I plan to live there someday, citizen of heaven. Why do I play with the toys of this earth and make items.

Why do I allow myself to walk down a forbidden path knowing it's going to just on the Lord and grieve his Holy Spirit." Pam as a son of God and because of what I expect to be glorified. Conformed to his perfect image. I want to live righteously, and godly in this present evil response to this truth. Not only should be an influence as far as our walk in a godly fashion but change our outlook and attitude when it comes to our sufferings that we have hope in our sufferings, suffering moves us to look at eternal things check printing for $0.17 for our light affliction, which is but for a moment working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory while we look not at the things I would come this work look again what are you looking while we look not at the things which are seen but to the things which are eternal.

Most of the time were looking at things which are seen in black and I hope that preacher etc. life. I got a look at the things that are seen are yes so that is obviously a necessity but were being instructed to look beyond look beyond those things which are not seen for the things which are seen are temporal, but the things which are not seen are eternal than says four in this week grown earnestly desiring to be close upon with our house, which is from heaven, with grown because of the suffering Strachan's disappointments of life, longing to be close upon with that house, which is from heaven. Longing for that day when our body will be glorified and we will at last be with the Lord.

So looking looking looking for?

What what what what are you looking speak to the fact that our afflictions for this present time are but for a moment to check some of on don't seem to be short-lived.

They been gone a long time.

Yes, they can seem terribly long when it's a long-term illness when it's broken relationship with its struggling daily with financial reverses all of these things can be very painful and seeing that the last for a long time, but the comparisons made to the glory that is to come. Our affliction checklist document might affliction my affliction is not light. Certainly the afflictions that have come with the troubles associated with the Pope's 19 have not been light communications is brought that thousands of people of the thousands of been sick.

Still sick and it's had terrible impact on the economy. People are out of work casinos long line of cars waiting when we decided to waited in line 18 hours to get the food she so desperately needed, but I couldn't help but note her spirit. Sometimes these things are presented in a way that they've wanted to come across as others quick complaint with this place while I was waiting I just read my Bible and I was thankful to get what I got. So it can change your attitude and outlook about everything.

When you're looking at the right things.

Yes, this hope of something brighter and better enables us to consider our afflictions of the present debate who might and short-lived. And then it brings to have faith in his promises because he says he's going to set all things in order. He's able it says to subdue all things to himself while we rejoice to know that he is able to save Hebrews 725 wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost which coming to God about him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession there is another reference to the fact that he is at the right hand of God, interceding for his people. He is able to save save to the uttermost save the greatest of centers save the world and the most terrible need save one of the most impossible circumstances is able to save to the uttermost and is able to help when we are tempted. Hebrews 218 for in that he himself hath suffered being tempted, he is able to succor or to help them that are tempted Jesus was tempted of Satan in the wilderness entitlements. I will let it doesn't seem to correspond with my case because he was in the center and I am but the fact that he was perfect and resisted it probably endured a greater degree of temptation, pain, and that power than you act impossible be acquainted with.

He understands our situation he's able to help us when we are tempted and able ultimately to raise our body from the day you says John 1419 because I live, ye shall live also. So what what do we get from this text, looking for the safe person would consider apposition that we are citizens of heaven that change everything.

Our whole outlook.

Our whole concept.

But what ever we do, however, we suffer whatever comes our way to citizenship is in heaven.

Our vision eagerly waiting his return, not just believing in his return, looking for his turn return, desiring his return.

Expecting it in a very positive way future. What is it he will change our final week bodies glorifying to be conformed to his perfect image.

What is our response does it influence our conduct does it indeed give us hope in our sufferance doesn't bring us to trust more fully in his promises, appointed us looking for the Savior.

The matter what trials we face the matter what dark time in which we bypass as we're going through something none of us have ever experienced before. The body could ever have imagined that this virus would change so many things around the world how to cope with how we deal with.

Remember, you're a stranger in the Pilgrim here your passion through your citizenship is in heaven. That's true of all who come by repentance and faith to Jesus Christ. If that's not your experience. Did you today to believe on the son of God, for he that believe it is not condemn and heed the believe is not is condemned already, because he is not believed in the name of the only begotten son of God, how wonderful to anticipate that great day Jesus Christ comes back soon gave her the CC looking for the Savior, the truth concerning the second coming of Jesus Christ is talk clearly in the New Testament, we anticipate that great day that he will return soon. Knowing that our citizenship is in heaven. We anticipate that time great joy to matter how heavy the workings are here there is something better something something glorious to anticipate because of the sacrifice of Jesus Christ, knowing his salvation is by grace, hope that you are right and let us know that you listen today next week at the same time with the Lord richly bless you and I have a Baptist Bible hour is come to you under the direction of Elder Lucero Bradley Junior poster of the Cincinnati primitive Baptist Church address all mailed to the Baptist Bible Lord Cincinnati, OH 45217.
