Europe lied a lot done and read every overtime win every game.

Our local experts cover the biggest stories around your team every day on your favorite MLB on the ever you want… Network your team everything I something in Europe for game day fans follow their team every day why the locked on my Network daily podcast for your favorite MLB see average grade every overtime win every game.

Our local experts cover the biggest stories around your team every day on your favorite MLB on the ever you want… Network your team everything I and about that long time edible defensive lineman Mike Golic who played in the late 80s and the 90s, Mike. I spent a good portion of Wednesday watching weather coverage on your the weather Channel or locally. Some of the various outlets in Florida.

So thinking about that situation that has forced postponements and cancellations and sporting events to be moved, but also thinking about week three in Miami with the heat and humidity and how it affected the Buffalo Bills.

For instance, all kinds of guys getting cramps and dehydration and not able to place the defections on the sidelines because the weather conditions were getting to them so that your career is there a crazy or atypical weather situation. You've played in or something like that where the elements really affected you and your team hurt. You noted will go well beyond sport were were rotten through all what from my side. There wasn't really a danger call before that had a bit of influence on the board.

There in Chicago while another fog rolled in and you couldn't see anything but didn't want to cancel the game or archer could postpone it happened while the game was going on to clear everybody out and bring everybody back another day.

I remember the referee on the yard line which I believe your life so that I could hear him talking to the people in the press box and yes I can see both goalpost. My goal for both goalpost 20 are you aware didn't want to postpone the game so there were like yeah well enough you could see well enough hello pay rent sweep away from the loss of one started going to the side like talk that was one of those that was winning without fog rolled in and turned out the fog.

Have a good chance of winning, and the bears were ahead.

When that happened it was that was one of I mean, I played and bought. I played in rain, no. But you know that's something you're used to doing multiple times what I've never played with the rolled in the field and players basically is a badge of honor for you football players that you do playing all those elements, whereas when it comes to baseball Dell cancel although postpone a man football like last year in Buffalo with the wins that word 60 mph yet we think about the heat but also the snow we talk about Lambeau and and those kind of extreme conditions that some of you guys are proud of what I think partly you are proud of the something like that. But for me while George and I enjoyed a nice greater no because everybody then came down to my athletic average player and people were much better athlete you want your athletic ability starts to shrink a little bit when it's really whether really slick so I appreciated the fact that even somewhat late so I was happy about you to come up with that tight of a reason for loving the weather like the Eagles are playing really well right now they're one of the teams it's undefeated you played in Philly. The stories are legendary. What is it mean to be an eagle and a plate for those fans on the ILOG. Most of my career point, there the most fanatical of the most emotional good and bad are playing better than you know so you don't really care are or are really given a damn. You know Ben Simmons with 76 there will let you know and you know that that's fair.

And when you're well. Amanda Lovett blue-collar town.

I was a blue-collar player you know II loved it and what we are doing well. They love to just be ecstatic right now me. We were never buyers are able to bring the Super Bowl obviously got a Super Bowl last you know last few years, but they are so passionate about their team. The laughter my plate where I left to go to Miami and my one year in Miami. We were nine into best record football and our games were blacked out because we couldn't sell out. I was stunned by me and I'm like what the hell is this. I just going 67 years in Philly were were sold out the plate. The people are crazy and that I went out to Miami a little bit different. By the way, the two undefeated teams also in Miami so well-balanced now,Lovett stair schedule hasn't been as challenging. Three. No history now. So what impresses you is Bill Parcells. As you are with your records is exactly right. I mean they can't decide what is affordable. That we know we know that was your first drill in her chair when her to follow quarterback everybody talk about the beginning of the year that they're playing for their future with that key are they going to be the future quarterback or rep coming up is probably for quarterbacks better to go in the first row again.

Both teams are undefeated. All quarterbacks are playing well so therefore answering the bell jail and you know we can do with like passing well now he's back in the 3540 touchdown God, no. But the key with him is make sure your interceptions ago, usually for quarterback is single digits with interceptions. So get yourself you know 20 may be in the 20s touchdown and under 10 interceptions and that's what you want them to supplement that with your leg. They brought in weapons form. Obviously EJ Brown was a monster, get form Devante Smith make up some incredible catches points also very very very balanced team. I think that's one of the good things going my goal to former NFL defensive lineman, is now a trafficking's analyst and were always excited to have them here after hours on CBS sports radio.

Just thinking about you. You played in Philly obviously but you also made with Notre Dame. How does the passion compare when you're talking about that right there in the passion of the probably the bigger the passion for Notre Dame's countrywide. I mean we would go on away trips, I mean that the fans would match at the airport or metrical hotel made. I was truly truly a national team. One of the know you know their independence so they don't have the one topic tied so they are national team and the biggest rivals than USC which is futile bit account of a national rivalry. So yeah, I mean it is again not only in South Bend, Chicago area, but it is nationwide with with Notre Dame. You and I just ran into each other in the press box in Lambeau for a Sunday night game against the Bears. That was my first taste of regular-season action at Lambeau and now I had the opportunity to go down on the field and have time to be around the alumni's they were getting introduced. Those fans were obnoxiously loud, very passionate. It can meet the way that you got fan bases that are so invested, although sometimes that means they reserve the right to boo and tell you when you completely screwed up all gallop in order to do that again. So they wash up at ILOG playing at Lambeau. I'm glad my son Mike got played at Lambeau. I told Chuck to the experience of the that it is.

I mean, it carries just so much so it is very good was great to play there a few times and call games are obviously should we saw each other. There could be in that atmosphere and I my brother for preaching again. Mike was playing and appreciating it happen. They fail the entire game is just they're always there now some people say will maybe there's not a whole lot not a lot else to do their know I found myself losing money at the casino will not judge myself I find something else to do a 5 foot.yesterday.

They are phenomenal women and I met that parking lot smells so good with the brought people cooking them up before the game. Yes right of passage there for just three or four days. I had multiple brought swallows their family. The football game yet still limited sample size.

Mike such roller coaster ride. These first three weeks border a couple of other headlines and teams are surprising you good or bad to start this first month wall. The two things are surprisingly bad.

No wonder a big whimsical city, but I was a bit surprised at how they fit in one wanted Warren II thought would not thought that Ryan was a big upgrade parcel that I believe will goes on car service and turned it up in Washington right now, but I thought that I picked that team to win the division again as you said early sample size of Jacksonville. Kudos to them. I get to them.

But I was disappointed in Annapolis and the other team think I thought the same to be one of," would be one of those you we talk about this every year for five don't like files make it the next year. I thought these two would be tool, but already you know because a lot of that I talked about going 14 touchdown three interceptions and have a game played last year already has fiber exceptions this year, resorting back to that gunslinger, kind of throat through people a little bit and that could be an issue. So that surprised me a little bit on the good side got a look at Jacksonville. There 211.doc Peterson as a coach or Super Bowl coach. They think they're kind of growing all you want them to be. I think the other team and I think if you don't have a huge rooting interest. Most people do, wanted to love the Detroit Lions on the way they're playing your score a lot of points, Dan Campbell, your motion to him. I mean that all Jacksonville are both going in the right direction. I love to hear Campbell talking he and micrometer to my favorite coaches to listen to you but whenever you have to press this locker room speech with I'm not a lunatic. I'm not sure what that sticks to your locker rooms. Would you as a player preferred to play for a coach that seemed like you completely out of his mind but brings that passion or what. Without a doubt, the only thing that it could be an issue where God your white wartime particle to your weakest name coach uses order to fight people and blah blah blah worried about is in training camp. All the running coach with a prayer he came in and Mande rental lot more and guys that came with him from Indianapolis acquired told all the bare players they get ready to run and they did what you think about it as a player you think about man Michael be running more we can get more and Go through my first, but I always love passionate coach without question, you coaches earn respect in a locker room outside of those fancy speeches. While a lot of you know a lot of it depends on played play this kind of evidence the credit that okay you are on the field you were doing what we did. So you understand your to be successful by any stretch and then you know what what what is your resume site now. First, primary coaches know that they got approval because you see somebody's head coaches especially what there for now from the Sean McVeigh tree right so what you're getting out of those guys who were offense of coordinator to remember they were: place so they're becoming first primary coaches and they were calling plays with them when there was Sean so you really kind of say okay how is this going to work so you don't automatically get that respect that that first-time head coach, especially if you haven't called place or sometime shortly. Even if you have you heard that what your personality what you what you selling the biggest thing a new coach wants to do is have the team buy-in to what he shall obviously the best way to do that is when he got me a job in Miami think they're buying it so that that's kinda how it works. It all goes hand-in-hand. My Golic is an NFL that longtime radio host and football analyst now is Westwood One and draft kings and works please to spend a few minutes with him in his partnership with gridiron greats and of course our friends at Southern recipe smallbatch pork rinds.

I really enjoy asking guys who played in in different eras.

Why this is important because I don't think many fans realize how different it was. Unless you are watching it years ago decades ago. So why is gridiron greats, an organization and a cause that matters to you all man that I'm on the board program and how much I think of it our leader with no player that played decades ago and I put Dr. to go but I mean even before the, the, you know what, how, when they enter the game and their pet between their countrymen the help available that it is not a lot.

So gridiron greats. This is the way I put in the is you play football. You got knocked down or in many taught and someone a lot of times your teammate a restart help you up for your help back to me as were gridiron great. What were helping our guys that have played years ago that are struggling were helping them up. Whether it's with your mortgage. Whether it's at the dentist whether it's a major surgery.

Things like that. That's what the money that we raise is used for gold players that need the everyday things are thing even bigger than that.

So that's why I got a big part of this for years now. I'm proud to be part of order to start to get a younger generation of players involved in it as well in your magic for the recipe smallbatch statement so good to their 14th year of the biggest football Dave for client appreciation day on Super Bowl Sunday and so what what they want to do is they want to trade like sex or snap put your date school.

That's a pretty cool thing. I give everybody excited wind appreciation day.com and basically to go there and you pick anything you believers can get facts in each week one randomly selected entry to win a case report crying for every fact that you get grand prize of $5000 a year pork rind and shortly again money raise your goals to go to the gridiron greats as well.

So it could pork back there. They're fantastic. There small clutter must be small but are such good people aligning themselves recruiter and Rachel were looking looking to raise a lot of money to help some of the players sacs for snacks at pork rind appreciation day. My goal is gotten sacs on his resume semaphore illegal Mike, what's it like to bring down a quarterback for me.

I haven't done very much so the way I look at it.

I played nine years I have 11 careers that some call that pathetically bad. I call it consistent global one for little over one year I look like a look at the glass half full. Listen when you get there. It's great.

My biggest day was, I think was 89 first-time wells affiliate. Our first game against Dallas. We had 1211 or 12 fact I asked Rick to have sex. My God is almost 1/4 of what I have for my entire career was that it was a big day for me so if I get anywhere near the quarterback, and I get so much trouble today with fines because of I got quote I would hit him and I would land on a gland in light of doing out and dance dancing things you and I lost my wind. No, I was too busy trying to win back in my lungs now required three or if I would've ever scored a touchdown. I probably would adapt, but I never got close to talk no ISO sect act, nor did I deserve to have affected goodness.

These are the stories that we love. We get my Golic on the show so you can find them on Twitter at Golic antihero. Now Westwood One and Sunday Night Football as well as with draft kings and obviously longtime radio host and NFL defensive lineman hey man, you lasted for nearly a decade. That's saying something. Now I know I know a pretty self-deprecating book, but neither I am very very proud of. We appreciate having you and will catch up again. Thanks so much Mike.
