Another day in the rearview mirror, though Monday. Obviously the end of the football week you will get back to Giants and Cowboys income to sift through.

Now the aftermath of a full and completed week number three you can find me on Twitter a lot radio on our Facebook page 2 after hours with Amy Lawrence as I mentioned Monday media day for many NBA teams, not all of them but it did include the signs the gnats. I know you want to hear from Kd inquiry and the Boston Celtics, who most recently have lost their head coach for the entire season. Potentially forever and even now, trust me there are media outlets working to find out more the details and fill in more the gaps because there isn't a lot of information. Joe Missoula takes over as the Boston Celtics head coach will see how long it remains interim but for now he is the man just stood poised to stay focused on what's most important thing in the most important thing for me is making sure that the players and myself are on the same page. Sure were focused on expectations that we have for the season from a basketball standpoint know how we move forward together. Building trust and building relationships with the you have a formula for what you know what you do in order to get better every single day. Get back to where we want to get to and so was much as we can focus on the move in concert voice of the Celtics new head coach, but man what a lot to process if you're a member of the organization and if you're a player showing up to tip off a brand-new season in the wake of last year's NBA finals appearance were pleased to welcome Gary Washburn who covers the NBA and the Celtics for the Boston Globe and was there at Celtics media day hours ago Gary, I'm intrigued before ask you what you saw what you heard what were you expecting when you showed up for Celtics media day on really clear, all you know full all exploring how they feel about their approach to coaching their feelings and a lot of the work still unsure exactly what I'm sure will fill the situation go so long yeah like I'm confused about a former coach of the unfortunate tropical here.

When you say dismissal. Does that mean you don't believe he'll ever be back with the Celtics. I don't think coach Bill resolution work during this year to part ways. But there are coming to grips with the fact it is no longer the coach that drove the coach changes occur. No idea what happened and why, what did you hear from the players about how they found out and what the reaction has been over the past couple of days and how they move forward a lot of Twitter or through social my gosh about the initial meeting on Thursday. All going on inside you go Relationship visual relationship with someone else. The organization don't know much else. Why would this cause of your suspension details about management ownership roles don't go back to work, came away overall confusion from the players are still like what's going on here. Okay, no coach will know how to relationship some of organization will what happened you know I will try to learn those things. It sounds like they want know little bit more trouble. I think people are looking to condemn their culture and say all messed up a lot a lot of close like before I say that I want to know exactly what you grow? You know you still love coaching targeting well what you know, most supportive statements made it seem like the players alike. You don't think so organization to have some type players offer some more clarity about it know how to you know target will be angry or upset someone or you don't think less of someone you don't quite know what the affect that situation we have here spoken to know the only person said he spoke with him was like walking through a players situation has occurred and I don't know told him not to speak. The players were all sound like a pleasure heard from know it sounds like there will greatly like a lot of organization all the team trying to grow the hell happened not done a really good just you want your players coach the whole very ugly interesting sad unfortunate you know a lot of things at this point were spending a few minutes with Gary Washburn who covers the NBA on a national scale, but was at Celtics media day on Monday for the Boston Globe after hours here on CBS sports radio Gary, why do you think the organization is keeping all of the details under wraps. Well, one day want to keep himself out of any type of trouble and trouble walking. The parties involved so long you know this is usually something like this happens, people are going to examine the entire organization as a whole.

The organizational structure is home to Boston Celtics organization safe place to work for women on this is happening around the organization or you know dating their subordinates are subordinate. Being somewhat pressured into relationships and slapping around toxic environment notes all the issues a few years ago the Dallas Mavericks were go-between, president had come home last approach to conflict and women you know because of his power and housecleaning. You know the Celtics field is the organization as a safe place to work. Feel like this is a one-off so they want to move forward with this encounter divulges less information as possible to protect all the parties and you know I guess their approach is kind of trust you know we we know we know going we we make this decision with all the information to what is the reason why make this decision. This is not some you don't have a ax to grind being a bloke is not just about workplace relationship that was consensual.

This is about a lot more that occurred although they don't want to divulge information so these people to try to seek information just to listen to TMZ using all the you know where all the stuff is coming out so organization in Kokomo just before the players. At this point, you know who know how this is welcome to figure out you have been in this business for a long time even a writer, a reporter, you covered the team any mention TMZ. I even saw some information on ET ET online because of who email Joe because fiancé is there going to be other websites and outlets who are interested in her personal life, but from your perspective is information that you would put out there the details, or would you rather someone else come out with it. I think you're right about the product you are divulge the details of exactly what happened. You better be right about a situation know there's a lot of websites. Go out there because it's juicy could be 75% like 50% white of you not read something that I know reporter that is not true. So you're to be careful of the situation people's lives are nothing know any business that part about this whole situation okay is the son who is now 11 years old right okay and that's old enough to remember digest a lot of what's going on the reader to work. You know he's not claiming the place. Toys, Legos or whatever. 11.

Okay, so he watches TV, read my number so whatever okay got it. No regrets about his father and his mother at the sad part about I'm sure you devastate.

I'm sure a lot of people disappointedthought situation, NBA coach, you know, one of the top franchises all after many movies very much no doors appreciated by the members of the public. You know of well know you're going to have you know all these goals. I think there's going to be stuck in spring inflation sprinkled out as a reporter you just happen you have to be right about if not, you leave it alone is not sufficient. I read things that I know personally from other websites are just untrue report. People are assuming that's the dangerous part that's what got this whole people in trouble and people in hot water. Women threatened the first place Is Way, Twitter start the research, thinking they could find out what was with the woman they start posting pictures of female employees for the Celtics, many of whom all all but one obviously had nothing to do with right it's after hours here on CBS sports radio Gary Washburn with us from Boston. Let's pit a little bit.

Who is Joe Missoula. What we know about this guy know for clear plate under Bob Huggins at Westwood Junior was a point garden dog and got into deal with the Division II head-coaching work is way of Celtics assistant coach but a grant 2019, 34 years old. Your man of faith. You know, Amy Gilkey, have crafted 2009 battery charge. We was at West Virginia that you Will explain for years. It sounds like you didn't know coach Missoula that you got a complete 182 crown God is a man of faith.

People plan to become changed his life.

So I know you know you dressed up today different parts of the disaster forgiveness needs to be able to explain the situation enough to get on NBA coaching staff now be MBA head-coaching.

Also, the question is well does one really bad mistake one miss doing that affect your entire career in college so you know people have to debate that you know you asked about that today and explained it. Some people are thinking of the bad luck to give him make him interim coach giving that got transgression happened 13 years ago. They think very highly of him.

We think very highly of the man come and use positive support of the players is a positive influence on the couple years ago so I think they feel like they're in good hands. Although you know what no one knows how a 34-year-old with no no never played the ABA so it head-coaching experience thrown into the fire like this. It was like a month ago he knew you could decode something new.

We don't know how going to translate actually was the subject of some trade rumors whether there was any substance behind the weather is just speculation, but what to say about maybe being flipped for Kevin Durrant at some point happy know you got with me about it on the move forward. We feel good about a percent April community organization, but I know I know that he wasn't exactly pleased with it, but he understands it doesn't reengage the business of a lot of flavor. Contrary you know Shep got traded you know Kareem got treated with a lot of players will be a great great pleasure training their career.

So about a disrespect of the daily Brown would be in trade talks for Kevin Durrant but I think this whole thing. You don't cut overshadow that. So I think you look at the jail in the thing a man like you know you need you and you will see what happens with Jay Leno Celtics in college years. We look for extension and whether they can invest enough to bring him and make him a Celtic long-term conduct more use of the contract with I think for now, the two sides are committed to each other and he's ready Gary Washburn of the Boston Globe is with us after our CBS sports radio lots information, lots of uncertainty facing moving forward before I let you go Gary want to ask you about the story that you wrote in the wake of the news at first coming out about eBay I you said that he was selfish and unprofessional, which makes sense, but he said that the Celtics needed to be blamed for this mass to how come the light gray story was weak and someone who knew what was going on trails with story of someone from the organization go relates information to someone who either licked it or someone from the organization which are slowly like you Dr. I can't guarantee that you don't it was leaked by an organization, but someone knew something, and secondly to wait nearly 24 hours after leak to make a statement really put a lot of women in the work organization in the best spot particular sure what to suck going to present speculation that could've done something all to attend to presented to attempt to know put some kind of statement some help. Some of what was going on and what was happening whether there they were were investigating it. This point you have north for the comics you don't respond to these rumors get ahead of the story and try to protect women organization from the speculation now look at it worked on a percent, maybe not because I was you twitter getting Susan go or go to not be nonstop. This could have nothing knownothing till about 1030 10 o'clock 1030 the next night, I felt like was very inferior to the organization.

Very unfair the way you probably could work, we cry could've worded so they can no clear that you know how I feel when hey, we don't know when looking into were investigating.

No further comment. You will comment was appropriate. Something in the daytime revenue cycle is charting work looking trying to figure out who it is what's going on respond somehow to try to protect organization protect people knowing what you know of these players because ultimately they're the ones who are on the court how confident are you that they can find their focus and move forward and be ready for the season to season isn't going to stop. Note to us Into preparations. They still feel strongly about chances though the train is another stock so they are going to have to get over this and put on no of their adult no pants and move forward and in even those not to be easy and despite some things will be quick about the doctor.

My eventually when practice began ball is on the court in Geiser.

No working hard, running the courts. Let me get back to what they do. I think you'll slowly Google slowly move forward and get ready for this evening. A preseason game on Sunday. So why was no, there's no talk, there's no time to know the love meant to send it in and cry over spilt milk. It happened it's done they got about four. You can find Gary on twitter IG Washburn W ASHP URN Glover so covers the NBA today was Celtics media day for the Boston Globe and to Onyx what you can find a lot more information" from the players as their now speaking out for the first time. It's always good to connect to the I know it's been a really long day. So thank you for a few minutes. Thank you is a lot there to process them even as you found out for the first time on social or by listening to the show. The players actually found out that their coach was in hot water and in danger of suffering major discipline on social media and didn't have a team meeting until Thursday and they don't have much more information than the rest of us do so. I appreciate the thoughtfulness of Gary. Why is the team keeping this under wraps and would he want to be the one who reports this because it does seem like in this particular situation that there are a lot of reporters in the sport industry who actually don't want the information to come out since it's interesting to me.

I understand Gary thinking about the 11-year-old and the fact that these are people with real lives and yet every athlete is a person with a real life, and many of them are married and have kids and how doing this particular situation. There seems to be some protection being offered to the woman in this case and and I think that's fascinating. Obviously speculation hurts a lot of people, but there are certainly people out there who know who this woman is that there's not that many women in the Celtics organization ends the details that have come out about her.

So far, would certainly allow some to narrow it down and before long TMC or another website that doesn't necessarily have the same scruples will come forward with a name I agree with Gary on this point. To be sure if you're going to report this, make sure what you report is accurate or not everybody has that same ethical standard for their work, but I would agree with that. That's always the approach that I take, but as for the Celtics getting set for basketball. Maybe that will offer them some relief and distraction an opportunity to put this aside and focus on what they know and what they do the best you can find us on Twitter after our CBS also on her Facebook page Celtics were the only ones to speak on Monday.

Crazy that it took the Celtics and the signs off court scandals to put Kevin to read and Kylie Irving on the back burner. Those two I almost forgotten how they turned the start of the off-season on its head. Thanks for hanging out with us to say see you Monday. Morph into a Tuesday the after hours with Amy Lawrence on CBS sports radio you are listening to the after-hours podcast so that was controlled for lease after-hours with baby Lawrence supposed to be the big story for the Brooklyn was actually Kylie Irving in his future and whether or not the nets would trade him or if he would choose to opt into the final year of his deal and then on the heels of Tyree choosing to opt in and stay with the Nats. Kevin Durant asked for trade and later he doubles down and in a meeting with Joe side, the owner of the he says either the coach and the GM galore I go delay to quickly after-hours with Amy. So on CBS sports radio remind me the name of the podcast that audio is from the etc. podcast that goes back to late June when again the big story was whether or not Tyree would be back with the team not Kevin Durand would be back with the team.

He spends it in a way that makes him look good Katie to the media on Monday because he wasn't traded on their good works is one thing I do appreciate your post on Jody's life too great for us to get your way just easy. That simple.

So I get that on the line there. Come in here to play with me. All I can think of is how similar he sounds. Aaron Rodgers play with me, so Kevin Durant says I'm just too good for a team to give me away there's accuracy, and that I suppose never have to worry about complementing Katie because he will complement himself. He already knows it.

The meeting that he refers to between the powers that be for the data and Katie happens to clear the air was cut of the last thing we heard before. It was determined that Katie would be staying in Brooklyn, at least for this year that he has what, four years on this brand-new extension so they don't have to do Jack and he would have to choose players don't play but he has agreed. I guess that he will stay and play in Brooklyn with Tyree.

So ultimately both want out, and neither one goes anywhere but the meeting with Joe, who is the owner Joe side and Shawn Marx is the general manager and Steve – who's the coach, at least for now. Watch your back. Steve water six. That was the one in which they told him were not just good trade you for a spare pair of athletic socks in a pair your shoes like what were organ. I need to get enough for you in return. And so I guess that was a compliment to Katie where he realizes oh well I'm not good. Okay, just give me away on the good was well sure that's not the last time I hear that it's after hours with Amy Lawrence. Oh, are you upset that you're still a member of the Brooklyn Nets. I will disappoint us to play on mood I was in the Beaufort girls who have been in the summer was not all that afflicted the work to put on the court when his tonsils slowly and was having fun playing ball in the mood is one thing I was. Regardless cleaner talks with Steve and Shawn throughout the season about how was fluent and will also we need to change his team is organization where I see my career. We have a conversation so they know me soon. I know how much I care about the game of basketball.

Martin Mason on the windowsill will jump on the sign.

It was pretty simple. So seeing it from his perspective.

What about the perspectives of Kylie Irving hearing that Katie had asked to leave Brooklyn is a lot like Karen code 13 request. I often awkward, very awkward yet homelike note to think of it, but because there's a trust that we have with each other. I just ultimately want to see them do will be happy so if I wasn't with it with an organization also have to accept that move on and I knew that I can move on and get to a place where a new kid could be comfortable and everybody to be comfortable.

Shawn Joe is our whole entire family and culture in which we speak on. I think you needed some honest conversations. Next we did the summer and thus we had so to reflect on. I hope I answered a little bit of it you notice a big timeline plotted days in the summer where the off-season has taken its own emotions and courses in thoughts and was going to happen so much on the decentering on what I want to accomplish in the wishes focusing on being the best thing that I can be in being on a great team and what that means to me and really embodying that action every single day, not just saying it so I want to get to where you to preacher up here, but I had a lot of time thinking making the decision to come back to Brooklyn was the best one for me. Best one for me to sit in here and just figured out along the way as we as we get this party started. I'm not sure if you saw the headline, but in addition to Tyree sharing his authentic reaction to Kevin Durrant requesting a trade. He also indicated that his decision to remain unvaccinated cost him $100 million, about how you would ever measure that.

I guess it's not just salary, but it's also endorsements in that type of thing. He says that he gave up a future extension to remain unvaccinated as well. This is coming from Tyree. I gave up four years at 100 and something million deciding to be unvaccinated and that was the decision get this contract get vaccinated or be vaccinated, and there's a level of uncertainty of your future weather going to be in this league whether going to be on this team side to deal with that real life circumstance of losing my job for this decision. Well, okay maybe what he saying is true that he would've made a lot more money had he agreed to get vaccinated and so he would already have a contract extension. I think is the point by paid wall. He was not playing last year so the real life decision of a real life circumstance of losing his job and he he was really only on the shelf until the Nets were ready to say okay will bend the rules for you. This is the next decision to not allow him to play in road games. The NBA would have allowed him to play anywhere. It was a New York City rule that that kept him off the court for not being vaccinated and out of the locker room knowledge as so the NBA wasn't saying you can't play the Nets were the ones that said we can have a part time point guard part-time Kylie Irving, but to to cannot compare this to him losing his job is II don't know. I think that's a little disingenuous because he was still getting paid and unpaid hiatus paid sabbatical paid leave if you will. I supported him making his choice on probes I was pro-vaccine just not pro mandates and the mandates made no sense. Anyway, but I don't think it situations quite like law enforcement teachers, medical workers who actually lost their jobs in the New York City area because they would not get vaccinated because they chose to make that decision for themselves, but you know Kylie always has an interesting way of saying thanks the Brooklyn that the Boston Celtics, the Phoenix Suns, all talking about off-season circumstances that really don't have much to do with getting ready for a season, but it's common and another popular sports figure 1 that I think a lot of people would like to hear from right about now, though it hasn't happened yet.

I'll explain. You are listening to the after-hours podcast is Rose yes on Twitter or give us a call.

1227 Los Angeles radio set up at the top Eagles Minnesota Vikings 24, 21" 62nd. I do not have any idea how were going to choose the after-hours TD of the week, but man these are for incredible candidates all for different reasons. So Cooper got nine straight games of the touchdown, but his first ever career rushing touchdown.

One of course he goes 20 yards for the score one time that he handled the ball out of the backfield and nine straight games in 120 yard touchdown on the ground. JB, along with the call on Rams radio Smith with a record first half of the Eagles that the Eagles remain undefeated I could watch play all day long, but hundred 56 yards in the first half at Washington, seven catches most of them of the insanely impressive and acrobatic variety plus the touchdown. The court of the Enzo where he skies up over the top of his defender that's mayoral race venue here in Vikings radio Paul Allen 45 seconds left game-winner for the Vikings as they rally past the line and a duet with KJ Osborne not really couple along catch place by him. 28 yards for the score. Finally, with 24 seconds to go. The Colts done the chief Matt Ryan finds the rookie gelati would send Matt Taylor has a call on Colts radio.

So we've got me pull up on Twitter after-hours CBS just now crossing it overlapping. I should say with our Monday mortification, and if you haven't checked out the results of that poll, I'll limit you don't realize that there's more crossover here between these two. So check out both Monday mortification, as well as the TD of the week. You can vote on Twitter after-hours CBS and on the Facebook page. This is it. Monday really Monday modus operandi if you will, in which work always sifting through the rubble of what happened over the weekend and a lot of times that includes injuries so working to give you an update on some of the injuries coming up after the top QB news specifically because it got the latest on public quarterbacks who are suffering, so I will get to that and also some other injuries that will keep players out for a while. Or maybe the entire season so that it's always part of football. It's the part that I hate on Monday is when we hear about a lot of these injuries speaking out, though, really cool to see Dr. Prescott yelling, screaming and exhorting encouraging hovering around Cooper rash when he was on the Cowboys bench and knowing that Jack is very involved and could actually return sometime in the next couple weeks so the Dallas Cowboys are sitting pretty with Cooper rash as their backup QB. Not sure how long they can keep them around. He may have an opportunity to start somewhere else, but I'm happy for him and certainly happy for that. The family of Cooper rash that we saw so much when he made his first start last year on Monday Night Football. It's after hours clutch Cooper it's after-hours with Cooper clutch here on CBS sports radio as I teased before the update.

There is one athlete to former athlete that a lot of people would like to hear from and so far nothing coming from that arena. That's Brett Favre.

Not sure if you heard the latest and this is going to continue to happen with Brett, even if it's not some big announcement that's made but Sirius XM radio has suspended his appearances weekly appearances that he was doing as a show host who was breaking down, what we saw in the football weekend and I was happening every Tuesday, so he's not appearing on Tuesdays anymore on Sirius XM and now with a civil lawsuit and he's part of that civil lawsuit has not been charged in this massive welfare scandal coming out of Mississippi continue to say, through his attorney that he did not know the origin of the money that he was asking for to build a new volleyball facility at the University of Southern mass, even though there are text messages that seem to indicate that after he was told by the former governor of the state that using welfare funds to build sports arenas could be illegal. He went ahead and pressed for the money right now he's radioactive. He's toxic and really nobody in the sports industry want anything to do with him.
