So what happens when you accept Christ is far more than just your sins are forgiven, it means this you were born into the high priest's family. Jesus started a new family line is not the line of Aaron is not about the line of Levi is not even about the lion of Judah. It is a new family line and everyone that accepts Christ is now engrafted into this family. This is why first Peter says that you are a holy nation, Christians and a royal priesthood.
