The reason she travails and labor it because there is a baby it just hadn't been born yet there is no such thing as a woman travails and labor and after the six hour says, well, there just must not be a baby, I give up. I'm going home. That's not what happens when you're in the sixth hour, and there is no sign of a head crowning. There is no baby yet you just keep laboring because the baby is common in prayer is like that beloved God has ordained you as his people would be used by any prayer in the same way that a woman's labor is used in bringing about the miracle of birth. The labor.and bring the miracle that is already taken place, but the labor is participating in the miracle and you are the people of God, and he has ordained your prayers are going to be powerful and effective because there's the sound of the rushing of rain we got to pray known people who have a gift of prayer, who have a gift of intercession known people who pray and listen to them. Sometimes you might go.

Is everything okay because I sound a little bit like a woman in labor. If you want to speak out to me. Grace would say she has no idea how it was that she responded. I think we sent a piece of mail that came to her house invited to come to a course we were hosting alpha and she came and I met her the night that half opened up with the dinner that night.

I remember because I shook her hand and she couldn't look me in the eye and she was trembling like a leaf Amhara just pray for her. She came to church. She says she doesn't know by what power she was able to come to church. Shin driven a car. Years she drove herself to church. This is God and she wept during the worship and went back to our phone Wednesday night and Nikki Gumbel the video teacher said Christianity. The gospel is his message of something that God has done for you and it's free. It's utterly free gift of salvation is free.

Jesus died for you and you can accept this. It's free, but it's like someone written you a check and you need to take it endorse it and deposit it in all Grace said was afterward she walked up to the leader, Bruce, and she said I want that check I want to check and she accepted Christ and she came to church on Sunday.

A brand-new baby Christian and yet still teaming with all of this anxiety. All of this depression. All of this in her life and she just said I don't know how she said it was literally God moving my legs and no idea how I had strength or courage to come up and let a prayer team.

Pray for me, but she came in for two hours.

She said the Holy Spirit just came upon her and she was bathed in the love of God and broken and wounded places in the depths of her soul were just healed so much so I saw her the next Sunday, and I'm never shaken hands like this the same woman I saw on that Wednesday night she was confident she was beaming. She was excited she was sure she was looking at her hands are everything in her life and take her husband, and he later said they went to the beach. Not long after sitting for the first time in years, she noticed the seashells she saw the color of the sky was a miracle I thought happened and she was gonna die but instead sees been very much alive over the last 18 years blessing on our lives in so many capacities while grace that you want to be baptized and so that neighborhood were Mickey and Treva had been walking and praying for the houses. There is a family there. Darcy Jerry Hall or at a church now, Darcy was talking about earlier. Back at the welcome Center and*what will that we have baptism by capital because by this time Doris and Jerry had started coming here and they do pray for other people. Her husband really come to know the Lord because he wasn't walking with the Lord and and when we talk to you and he'd seen what happened in grace and and I member, let them stand on their horses from the pulldown weight secrecy walking down the road here comes grace walking Magenta towel on, you know, and I look in there next to her is Denny and is yet he's got swimsuit on his got towel over shoulder, and I was like oh Jesus, thank you Jesus. I went outside Denny yesterday you were Prof. fight to be baptized, and he said yes I do. So what happen he said well God gave me my wife back. God sends rain and every form of drought. I know there's a drought in the land. I read the same newspapers you do I see a land that is so arid and parched scorched that it is broken and fragmented. I see broken with every form of division then racism and judgment and hate to drought but listen, listen, I hear the sound of the rushing of rain, I hear the sound of a kind of mercy that is found only in the gospel that proclaims that in Christ there is neither Jew or Greek, male or female, black or white. After the sound of the rushing of rain is the only answer for such a fragmented world. The drought is bad. It is hot. It feels lifeless. But remember, Elijah, and listen. God is not about to leave forever.

People and drought. I hear the same sad reports I read the same newspapers. I know that men have abused women and parents of abused children and institutions have in abused morality and leaders have abused their position.

It is a drought lesson lesson in the spirit and you will hear the sound of the rushing of rain may start as a small cloud that rises from the sea of God's grace, but it is coming, whatever it might be.

That leaves your soul feeling parched. The only answer is the rain of the mercies of God's grace is true and short and rich and abundant so people of God.

Elijah was just as human as you are and God change the whole atmosphere through his prayers. Please don't stop praying because there is the sound that would be in the distance and it may seem faint.

God is still on the throne and still cares. Well, there's a beautiful picture here.
