Contact us@pastorandhowand.org or call 877-544-4860 that's 877-544-4860. More on that later in the program but now let's get started with today's teaching here is Alan Wright came the word became flesh, God in the flesh, to live the sinless life that Adam didn't live so that he could eventually go to the cross take the curse that was due to humanity.

So anyone who trusts in him could be blessed and so in other words, God has sent Jesus and one cents to restore the blessing of fruitfulness of the spread of the image of God. This is why am the very last thing Jesus did on earth in Luke 2449 was to bless his disciples hold.

I'm sending the promise of my Father upon you speak of the Holy Spirit, but stay in the city into your call with power from on high and you let them out as far as Bethany and lifting up his hands. He blessed them, and while he blessed them, he parted from them, and was carried into heaven, he had just said you will be my witnesses and he blessed them, you're going to spread the image of God across the intent of God was in the beginning is now and always will be that which he forms which is good is last in such a way that it prospers and grows and increases and the increase that he has in mind, ultimately, is the spiritual advance of the love of God that leads people to Christ. I say all of that to just make this point God wants us in Christ to bear much fruit, abide in me, Jesus said, you will bear much fruit, so question is not, are we to bear fruit, and in the best sense the word succeed and that which God gives us. Yes, we are. He wants us to prosper you wants us to build increase he wants for the good work of your hands and what you're given to do in this world. He wants that to be blessed and to grow and prosper. But there's a big difference between feeling pressured to perform or to succeed versus being blessed in order to succeed motives just let us turn our attention to some of the practical consideration here. The difference repressuring and blessing because this is really where the rubber meets the road and how we interact with one another how you help your kids or a friend or a coworker have had have you had you help encourage someone to have that life of fruitfulness and in God's given us the power blessing to do that. The power blessing where you are in accord with God's word announcing a positive vision that helps shape their identity and from that identity, then you're helping to to forecast and to help them see a positive future that can come for and there's something mystically powerful about that pressuring is is opposite pressuring is where essentially you are you are exerting some manipulative effort to try to get them to work harder and this difference in pressuring a blessing what you hear is the first think this a foundational pressuring someone one will put pressure on, it's an expression of law.

If you really bullet down and blessing is an expression of grace is really law versus grace is some of you may have heard me years ago.

Tell this story in is when I included them in the book power blessed the subject as is. The best example I can think of about how law doesn't, in the end actually empower us to do the very thing that we we recalled and grace does so many years ago, our son Bennett, who is loved off, and in our good friend and elder George Bob roach said that he and he wanted to get Bennett a new Potter and Bennett needed a new Potter and Bennett knew exactly the putter that he wanted.

He been wanting it for a long time.

Partners are not inexpensive and it was a big lesson for kebabs and I say what wind it will go down the golf galaxy and we are make sure that putter works good for you and if it does then I will get that putter so we went all excited young Bennett goes down there.

He gets exact putter that he wants Zach hi St. but I really want and I emphasize that this is it right here. Bob says all right was make sure this thing work. He said update what does it put a hearing some balls and here to see you make some six footers set up today if you can you can make make 8/10 of those and I get to the putter.

You know it is, laugh about. So Ben is down there and and he put some balls and he starts putting the slope item is on the flat ground of the store there no break to it. It's a easy little pot and that is a good Potter and he's making pot after but I think you know one or two of them then flipped out and all son Bob goes okay that's it. I think that's nine parts and you've made seven of them. You gotta make this last one.

If you can get that putter and Bennett looked at him and Bob give him a real serious looking like all know Bennett was like I thought this was just a gift, he said. Now I realize I gotta make this last part and submitted it so that it was just that, but this is the way we do the Steve benefit is making pot megabucks mega but also you get nervous about it that a lot been laid as I don't know how to do it or else he stepped back, like usual lineup, pot, start thinking about a lot, get back over it and just hit the worst.

Plus missed the whole totally because it is funny how when the pressures on you at your worse and and looked over Bob and Bob said you got a little exactly what he said but he just got a chocolate is there. Well, is that I'm exist, no just joking with you to get down the Potter and submit your article that putter grace he had determined that we give runner-up a place of his best golf and I think you still use that same that same putter. It's it's a contrast incident when the pressures on and we feel that we get anxious and we don't do well. Alan Wright will have more teaching moment from today's important series an option for 99 days in a row. Someone tells you, I love you I'll never forsake when you feel cherished. What would happen if I'm hundred percent sad sure you get enough for me to measure think I love you anymore when not one day contaminate the meaning of the other 99 days when 1% unconditional love poison. The other 99% will just 1% of lies enough to spoil grace can introduce unlimited capacity for fear if I don't measure up. When my having rejected. The Judaizers infiltrated the Galatian church, the apostle policy outraged and read a letter that describes the essence of the gospel of grace and why it must not be mixed with any form of Alan Wright's 12 message idea series trumpets the power of the gospel in order to set you free empower you with pure grace its compilations and ask the gospel discover the purity and power and grace of God.

Call us at 877-544-4860 877-544-4861 come to our website Pastor and gotta work these teaching you once again is when a gift is being given and there's a vision of enjoying that gift and using it to the full. Then we can flourish. So that's underlying principle here is what happens the different trip pressuring a blessing. Secondly, is that when you pressure your basically pointing to the problem and blessing is essentially pointing towards the possibility gotta watch our language about this. This is kind of what law does it just points to the problem but it doesn't do anything to fix it years and go we were actually touring. Some colleges will Bennett when he was think about where to go to school and we were at Wheaton College up outside Chicago touring that beautiful school and we were there about my wife and I am both my kids in word were stand around and there's a young tour guide that she is leaving us around a young I think she's a student. She leaves around tells about different buildings and we are standing under the shade of a tree and she was talking about one of the buildings and she looked in my direction and without changing the tone of her voice to me she's just talking like this and this building over here this I answer without stopping and change it. She said it's there's a large spider on your caller and just looked at me. She looked at me as like me. She said yes, her and have you ever noticed you can't see your own caller and XMI tells you got a spider on your collar. I didn't know where it was on my collar. It was amazing. Think nobody in my family and nobody else of the tort did anything to try to help me with the spider spider you help me with what the law does the law just says there's a spider on your caller you want to do something about that. You don't know what to do about UK UK news about what what Grace does and what blessing does is it doesn't just point to the problem is much more about directing your attention towards the possibility some years ago I got a chance to caddy when Bennett was young and plain.

Turn it off at the caddy for him a couple of times and kind of a national tournament was down the beach area and is going to marry caddy for him and we will play in this course at a C trail in the in the area of southern North Carolina near the coast and got up to this whole that I remembered that the woods were put especially thick on the left and if you got in there is really hard to get out and tested. The worst thing a caddie can ever do. I just said that is Bennett was stepping up to the ball. I said let's stay away from the woods on the left there really thick and he got up and he hit it right in the woods and I just I just said no no I'm sorry I'm sorry Ben is adept please don't do that and I said no I won't ever doing it because what you need to say to some I not dual site.

Don't hit it in the woods. You put something positive. Put a positive sake, let's fit my smooth swing here to the right side of the fairway. What this way all of life is what blessing does the points towards the positive possibility of where you're headed. That's not what pressure.pressure is essentially like you better you better do better or else that's the nature of the way law feels pressure says.

Thirdly, if you do then you can be.

But what blessing says is you are therefore you can do so was pressuring someone is to say, if you will perform better, then maybe you could be such and such a life. But what blessing does is it's always painting that identity and out of that identity. Then we live our lives. John Wesley, who became a world changer say the least. Founded methodical way of discipleship can be known as Methodism preached all throughout the 18th century road thousands of miles on horseback preached thousands of open air sermons and then impacted though the whole world and never lost his passion for that and had unbelievable energy to continue on is really hard work had really big work ethic. Why what happened to him and always thought it all happen when he was a little boy in 1709 at one February evening.

John Wesley's older sister went running into parents room to let them know that the house was on fire and burning timbers were beginning to fall all around them. One of the servants of the house named Betty went to the nursery and scooped up the kids and told little Jackie John Wesley to follow her. She made her way out of the house and I looked around and little Jackie John Wesley had not followed.

He again trapped in the bedroom and the burning house.

The house was just an inferno and the whole family was gathered outside a little. John Wesley was in the house.

There was burning down the father missed. Wesley got down on his knees and realize it was hopeless and he just began lifting up his little boy to the Lord and saying just take him unto yourself Lord and commending him and while he began to pray that his son wouldn't suffer. They saw Littlejohn poked his head out the window and two men ran over there.

One got on the other shoulders, was able to get up enough were John was was able to jump out the window able to catch them securely.

They brought him down to safety and his mother Susanna Wesley from that time forward refer to a Scripture spoke of a brand that's plucked from the burning and she always called John, my little brand that was plucked from the burning for great purposes and got down into his very being is say that this is who I am that God save me for reason and it brings forth a power in your life when someone has spoken that kind of identity into your spirit other words, when you are blessing someone you're helping them to see their identity only dispatch one last thing, pressuring someone leads them ultimately to self-consciousness. But blessing them leads them to God consciousness which brings us back to John chapter 15 and the second Adam and how is describing the fruitfulness of our life.

He says abide in me and I'll abide in you is, is when you abide in me, you're going to bear much fruit, and he compares it to a branch on a limb of a tree. If the tree is healthy. That branch is attached as long as it's attached is going to be able to bear fruit. It's not having to struggle to bear the fruit. It is a byproduct of being engrafted into the whole tree in this is the promise of God and is my blessing for you as we think about the fruitfulness of our lives. Is it just as in the beginning God blessed Adam and Eve and said be fruitful and multiply. God doesn't and we are called to do in the same image that he has done the same way God's. We are called to be like him instead of withholding the blessing until someone is proven that they can be fruitful blessing and fruitfulness is altogether different therefore than driven ambition toward success so in a very real sense the pressure's off because the whole goal is to live in Christ and fill your life be receiving from anyone who you can get to bless you and every moment that you spend in the Scriptures, realizing that God makes informs that which is good and beautiful and then blesses and what he does for anyone who is in Christ is a makes a great exchange where he takes what is the strong right hand of blessing that should've been reserved only for the firstborn, Jesus crosses his arms and extends it to anyone who would accept Christ to you and to me and to anyone who is in Christ, we have become like you from twice fruitful fruitful because he made us, and fruitful because he redeemed us.

May God make you like Ephraim twice as fruitful as you ever imagine the pressure just blessing and that the gospel Allen right. Today's good news message blessed to be twice fruitful from the series the power to blessed which is also the name Pastor Alan's book and Pastor Alan is back with us in the studio, sharing his parting good news thought for the day and just about an option for 99 days in a row. Someone tells you, I love you my letter for site when you feel cherished.

But what would happen if I'm hundred percent sad sure you get enough for me to measure on the Colletti anymore.

When that one day contaminate the meaning of the other 99 days when 1% of conditional love poison. The other 99% will just 1% of lies enough to spoil grace blocking introducing unlimited capacity for fear if I don't measure up. When my having rejected.

The Judaizers infiltrated the Galatian church, the apostle policy outraged and read a letter that describes the essence of the gospel of grace and why it must not be mixed with any form of Allen rights, 12 message idea series trumpets the power of the gospel in order to set you free empower you with pure grace its compilations and ask the gospel discover the purity and power and grace of God.

When you make your gift Allen right ministry said I will send you pastor outlines messages attractive see with your digital download as our way of saying thanks for your partnership, six 877-544-4860 877-544-4861 come to our website pastor.org figure in history with pastor and as we come to the end of this teaching blessed to be twice fruitful is in the series, the power to bless. We know will we talk a lot in this teaching about how it's involving others see how it's real we'll live this life and in a silo or in a vacuum, but we are here with each other and so while we are hopefully blessing others.

Others are speaking blessing into us on the fruitful part of this. How do you define success. How do you define fruitfulness.

If I'm not seeing fruit. Pastor Alan is it okay to to talk to somebody and say how do you see the fruit of my life exactly remember the first and foremost when you think of fruit in the Bible, love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. These are the fruit of the Holy Spirit. So that's the first thing was say about fruit mixing want to say about fruitfulness. Our lives is what is God want to have happen. And there he wanted Adam and Eve made in his own image to fill the earth so that the earth is filled with God's image, and I think does not lose sight of that fruitfulness has to do with the fruit of the Holy Spirit and fruitfulness have to do with us representing God right in this. This is something you know whether whether your business is done well or not doesn't change whether you're representing God.

Here, but the third part of this is actual fruit of our lives it what you put your hand to what God is called you to do. I believe God wants it to bear fruit, and it does let me look very different for different people I've known missionaries that have been out the mission field for long time and they may only have one or two or three people that began to accept Christ was what we don't understand those that things grow exponentially and always starts by the principle of seed there other times in your life.

A man I've had times were like Lord is doing so much that we just walk around said boy feel that the fruit is just fallen off the tree and splat me right in the face when N and listeners of I'm sure it had times like that.

What is different from blind ambition toward success is that this isn't about pressuring ourselves or pressuring others to perform. This is about receiving an affirmation and a vision that help shape our identity that then fuels us really bother indwelling presence of the Holy Spirit to live that that vision out and enter in real destiny, so will more, being fruitful were not really thinking about ourselves and not go around thinking about whether being successful. We're just bearing the fruit of the other side pressuring people and bringing the wall to bear actually just creates anxiety and enter and a self absorption that yeah there are people out there that are quote successful in the world's eyes and yet there are miserable on the inside that's not a fruitful life. Use the word subtle, you can use the word simple. They both would be accurate here in the way you're thinking that even in this in this teaching you talk about caddying for your son and in the instruction that you gave while Woods was spot on it.

It was a nuanced difference of what could've been better if it's a true statement it out like on this golf hole. If you… If you heard this illustration where I say don't hit in the woods on the left.

Bennett, but by putting the focus on the negative, you lead towards the very thing what we look at.

We had towards what we magnify we make big and so what we do more glasses we put a positive vision is not in any way to deny the reality of the harshness. All that can be there in the woods on the left say that's not were pointing to.

And when we are able to to point to what can be were actually release of fruitfulness and in one of the replies anyone where afraid were were not very fruitful. All we might show the appearance of success because were trying so hard but were afraid, but real fruit is a is a much more of a natural organic in spirit and power.
