More on that later in the program but now let's get started with today's teaching here is Alan Wright navigation system because they are far too restrictive rudeness to tell someone which direction I should go stories of people in it would talk to them while they drove in their cars and say turn right in 500 feet share all make people harassment gasp in horror binding and restricted and narrowminded technology you stop to ask for direction Caras plan how to get to the candy store they would tell you how wonderful the candy was and how beautiful you, but they wouldn't tell you how to get there because that would be rude.

So instead they said things like drive towards the sun role with the wind and nobody ever got anywhere.

It was frustrating living in Caras land because sometimes people would say to each other honey what you do today and one would say. I drove in a circle around the roundabout the whole day not knowing the real direction. Health was a problem in Caras land you can imagine because children ask their parents is ice cream just as good for you is green beans and the parents not wanting to burn their children with heavy-handed top-down said why my sweet child that is a matter of personal preference. Do you want ice cream to be good for you. Yes, so it shall be so ice cream was the main diet of the children. They had a problem with the criminal justice system in Caras land, people liked living there because it was so exciting and so they built a simple rocking chair on their porches keep their rocking chairs because people kept taking them. There was so much grace, but they had to be a huge rocking chair manufacturer Bill Norton replace all the stolen rocking chairs they had a saying in Caras land following your feelings and follow your heart. If anyone tells you what to do from there. You must part so as you can see Harris Landers thought the way to have peace was to be all grace and no truth but the truth be told, there was very little piece in Caras land and there was a lot of chaos on the other side of the Landings were just opposite Makepeace by sticking to the truth the whole truth and nothing but the truth just the facts in our family and there was no room for such silly things as compassion and kindness and acceptance was only one question. Elevator land is wrong. True false schoolchildren Allendale and had exactly the opposite problem with those in care plan. They were given the truth about 2+2 it was for the children would definitively hear but since there was no grace.

If you missed you were immediately expelled from school. If you missed the question Alethea wanted to keep academics pure raw. Everyone else was rejected as of the schools were very small and Alethea land.

Everyone knew the directions because they all had GPS systems operating, but they also wore watches that told them not just the next time that they should take the truth be told, there was a certain number of brushstrokes of the toothbrush that was better than another, and the truth would be told him about exactly how many times they should brush each tooth and if they did not false and alarm would go off because the truth is that it's better to floss and when they would eat their food if they were getting ready to eat something that was healthy. Then there would be a alert that pops up on their phone. Other learners unhealthy item to be ingested saturated fat intake exceeding recommended levels, so no one ate ice cream. What a sad world's the criminal justice system was unbending and Alethea land they had truth and social ways and if your car exceeding the speed limit by one hour. They took away her drivers license Playland had truth, truth, truth. But if you are hurting and was no one to help you. And if you messed up. No one to help take you back, Alethea said, truth is right is right take your feelings throw them out of sight. As you can imagine there was so little mercy and Alethea land that people lived in constant fear of failing. And where there's a lot of fear.

There's very little piece you see the point of the story with his grace, and no truth there is no peace. What is truth and no grace isthe rest of the story, which I'll tell you in just a couple sentence is that there was a young woman from current plan may mercy and one day she was wondering by the chasm and saw a huge tree had fallen across the chasm. She decided to start walking across to the other side and she did. There was a young man from landing Truman program and came across the giant tree also and they met in the middle and they begin doing this after they talking mercy was so enthralled by all the truth is that Truman had to share it was it was so empowering to think that there could be a right direction and you could get somewhere without getting lost in when you're you had a real problem that there might be an answer. They can help you with fascinated her and Truman was just fascinated by the fact that mercy could mess up fall down and get back up and laugh about things and they fell in love and one day they kiss Truman and mercy sit on the tree.

KISS time racing through and that was the answer to living happily ever after. So if you have you have only grace and no truth point of this being is that in God's heart really is no such thing as the greatest truth of God is he there really is no such thing as someone without being truthful.

If you had the truth about what was causing someone's disease and you didn't dare tell them because it seemed too narrow. The least loving thing with Alan Wright will have more teaching moment from today's important series as a Christian, you know, it's important that a priority slips easily for very many are wondering what is praying with willpower in Ephesians chapter 6.

The apostle Paul has a clear answer on the premise.

Some would say that Paul is referring to spiritual gift and a supernatural prayer language series, praying with power and reveals different ways of praying and spirit. Discover how praying is praying in the spirit listen to the spirit as you pray, come to see Jesus as your prayer partner. It's practical, powerful, Pastor Alan writes, praying with power. When you get today we look special after we are happy to send this to you as I thanks from Alan Wright Ministries, seven 877-544-4860 877-544-4861 come to our website pastor at work. Teaching is taken is seen at. It was nominated for number awards and it was very thought provoking movie because it told the story of a very strict and repressed little village in France in 1959 that was ruled under the iron fist may know the mayor who was so religiously legalistic and had no real life and just wanted to control the whole city and is the beginning of Lent. Whatever advice was to give up things for Lent, and certainly I would buy a town give up eating sweets will right the beginning of Lent blows into town.

Van who is a chocolatier. She is opening a chocolate store and then selling her shop and people would sneak in and get little morsels of chocolate during she seemed to have this mystical ability fear exactly what chocolate and people actually were being happy and she had a daughter named look and so free-spirited and it becomes the enemy of the mayor was so rigid and thus it becomes a story of him trying to shut it all down and keep the people in line.

You can see the riches of the symbolism. This is one of those movies once again with a free-spirited and all that is is the thing that celebrated in and everything about religion is bad but it gets more complicated than that which is well because at the end the M and Oliver free-spirited this we realize, no roots. She never settles in one place, her daughter and has no roots and she meets up with a river rat played by Johnny Depp and one night in her free-spirited and whimsical way. She is she's out sleeping on a raft with with with the river rat and not paying attention to attending to her daughter and there's a fire in her daughter almost dies in the fire and you realize that that all this free-spirited this all the space but no truth. All of this is counterbalances is out of balance in her life and so that neither the mayor nor what happened was when Jesus came he came as the man who is full of grace and full of truth is what John said in his prologue John 114 the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, the glory of God is manifested in this way, glory as a the only son from the father full of grace and truth. Some years ago I was many years ago is now a friend at breakfast and all that is all the church is as much as a place of church of grace and truth and he doodled something on that I never forgot and like to show it whenever I can because I think it is something I want to be something I want our church to be.

Think of it this way that Jesus came he was full of grace and he was full of truth. So grace is the Congress of God and truth.

The Greek word Alethea and he wasn't just part grace and part truth. Our problem is that you know I have days where is like Matthew really gracious today I get a little on some days I'm just full of grace and that is not the provider.

Everything and sometimes on the swale vacations like anybody can have anything world vacation days is truth is like in all care about is getting this thing corrected getting used to getting you correctly.

Also like some people I love the truth of Jesus was a 50% rate of 50% truth. He was 100% race and truth and was doodling on.

He said, and what would you say is opposite truth and he drew a line down and will error or falsehood said okay. What's the opposite of grace and I will maybe call it legalism or maybe call Pharisaism or dogmatism or something like that and what he said was, was I think so powerful you know what happens in our Christian lives and in our churches is we tend to be one of the other and it becomes this divide between grace and truth. The chasm that emerges is you live a life and you have only grace but no truth, then it will take you to error. If you have grace that it will lead you into legalism. You know, I know churches and people in lives in all race and beautiful accepting but just prone to get deceived and walking error and others that they may just here to the Bible and know the Bible, and yet you seem so unkind that nobody really wants to be around and he was an amazing thing about Jesus was everywhere Jesus went on people thronging about him, with the exception of the few that hated him and they were mainly religious leaders or political leaders felt threatened by him, but centers being around him. Why, because they knew they were not shamed despite their sin and that he had truth that would transform their lives. So Jesus was the perfect grace and truth. Man and he came to deliver us and only grace and truth could deliver us because here's what God did. God did the unimaginable in sending Christ. But as he did sending Christ to the cross. God was proving to us that he is tested and said and shalom. In other words, God loves you infinitely just came wrap your mind around this. He loves you the way parent loves a child in eternal measure. He loves you so much that the thought of you living separate from him for eternity. The thought of punishing your sin seems unbearable to his heart of love and yet God is and he is truth from its the aesthetic is righteousness and justice. There is no version of justice. There is no perversion of justice. That doesn't include reward for good this what one version of justice is to include those things because that's what it is. God is just the system on righteousness is justice. He cares infinitely about justice. His world this way and so justice means good reward and wickedness is punishment. The predicament for humanity is that ever since Adam and Eve were told by God to eat of the tree in the middle of the garden you shall surely die. There is a spiritual death came to humanity and every single person born in sin.

All I know some people.

They look really good.

Life is really bad live condition of sin and brokenness is as a golf between humanity and God of rebellion and selfishness live in the heart of humanity.

And so was people in order for there to be justice in the world all need to be punished. And yet God's love and yet he is righteousness is and he wants you to have shalom which is favored well-being and yet he wants there to be justice and fairness. How could it be the seemingly opposite things to come together. He sent a God man. Jesus was perfect, grace perfect truth who went to across and there in one man, God became just an justifier, the love of God for you and for me on display in the cross of Jesus Christ and the justice truth of God. When Jesus took upon himself all of your sin and mine justice was filled out at the cross, righteousness and peace kiss and Gloria came upon the is so prophetic. This home because it literally. The psalmist says in verse nine. His salvation is near to those who fear him, and the word for salvation as you shop and Jesus's name is taken from this shop. He is yes you yes you and you sure when it comes over into the Greek is spelled out as we transliterated the Asus uses which way we say it in English is Jesus. In other words, when you shop is near righteousness and peace kiss word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we seen his glory, glory as of the only son from the father full of grace and truth.

And when you accept what he's done for you. You are filled with his spear the very spirit of Jesus and given the privilege of ever increasingly growing in grace and truth. Being a people of grace and truth in this troubled world that the peacemakers and that's the gospel. Allen right good news message. The most beautiful kiss. The conclusion to this teaching in our series peacemakers but we got more coming.
