All that we experience as we daily walk by faith tests our grit to believe God. In large and small things. And sometimes those things all but bury you since Satan’s plan is just that—to bury you. But then, even when we are right at the breaking point God’s love breaks through: “Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never fails.” Love builds faith in our hearts that ASSUMES a future. No matter what. Against all odds. 

The born-again believer is a steward. In everything. In all of life. For stewards, discipline is key.  Also vision that responds to what God asks and makes the difference between something half-hearted and motivated by religious guilt, and a disciplined response to God’s prompting that we look back on later, see the worth and realize we have partnered with the leading of Holy Spirit to become the blessing laid out for Abraham: “And you shall be a blessing, a source of great good to others.” We are thankful for every listener of this podcast and excited to share this episode with you in this joyous season. It is vital the Church’s response to the attacks on God’s land Israel be with Bible insight and an understanding of end time scriptures. Prophetic scriptures could apply to the real time crisis in Israel today because of the October 7 attacks by murdering armies from the south. In this episode we look at prophecies in Psalm 83, Jeremiah 49 and Isaiah 17 concerning God’s plan for Israel and therefore a blueprint for our prayers. Psalm 83:3-4 speaks of the complete removal of enemy attackers whose brutal and unprovoked attacks compare to God’s earlier outcomes like two examples in the book of Judges. Like Gideon’s utter wipe-out defeat of the Midianites and like Deborah’s complete annihilation of Sisera’s attacking army. A study conducted by the Cultural Research Center at Arizona Christian University, shows the ways the faith of Americans has changed since the start of the pandemic. The study evaluated more than four dozen beliefs and behaviors and spoke to a cross-section of 2,000 people. A few of these changes are encouraging. Most are not. What once had been a steady decline in Christian beliefs is now beginning to pick up speed.  Paul said this would happen: For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers; 4 and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables. - 2 Timothy 4:3-4 In this episode, Shirley discusses what how we should respond. People use the expression "finger in the dike" figuratively when they often are implying one of several things: 1.) There is only one person standing between salvation and complete disaster. 2.) So much has happened in our lives, and therefore the life of the nation in the last 5 years. It is the Believer’s responsibility to govern his or her life; the U.S. Constitution lays out for our elected government what it can, and cannot do. Accordingly, everything happens by “the consent of the governed”—WE THE PEOPLE. Being created in the image of God is that we are given the capacity of GOVERNANCE, as individuals. The corporate governance becomes the expression of what takes place on the individual level. The design in the founding of this nation is clearly laid on the shoulders of the Church—the demand has been placed—the Church is the “tip of the spear”. As mentioned in a previous episode, the tip of the spear is known in military definition as the first and most meaningful action in an offensive. In our current spiritual battle, Satan has interjected the lie of “separation of Church and State”. A 1950's fictional TV series, Superman, featured mild-mannered newspaper reporter, Clark Kent, a female character Lois Lane and younger male character, Jimmy Olsen. As children we loved it. Superman (Clark Kent) transformed from mild-mannered to super-charged in an imaginary exchange where he received, among other things, a red cape that enabled him to fly and Xray vision to see beyond anything natural. Entertaining yes, make-believe for sure! The real-life comparison for born-again Believers is the supernatural endowment from Almighty God to believe Him for unusual interventions in our lives and His very own empowerment to represent Him in the earth, representing a loving Father to ALL, and any, who will receive Him.   

Every Believer has a voice: God-given, God-honored, and ordained for such a time as this. The message when spoken is likewise mandated and authorized by Him, and critically relevant to be heard. With this perspective, to not speak is to refuse stewardship of an obviously divine endowment. In this episode, we consider the cost of remaining silent in the face of wrong as expressed in a familiar phrase associated with Dietrich Bonhoeffer: “Silence in the face of evil is itself evil. Not to speak is to speak.  Not to act is to act. God will not hold us guiltless.”

Sometimes when things don't seem to be working out the way we expect, we must realize that God is moving us. In this episode, Shirley discusses how God moves us out of the way in certain circumstances, in order to move His plan forward. This episode is a reminder. The Bible describes an appointment every born-again Believer has with Jesus Christ. A time described in 2 Corinthians 5:9-11 when each will appear before Him to receive His acknowledgement of the way we lived, specifics of both good or, not so good. It is true that sins can be completely forgiven by God when we repent—forgotten and removed as far as east is from west. Still, we are accountable before a holy God concerning choices, decisions, and motives associated with the way we live our lives on earth. All hearts are open before Him now and will be then.   Shirley reminds us in this and previous episodes that God is dealing with the Church, waiting for our individual and corporate repentance. We cannot look the other way to preserve the status quo and certainly we cannot be careless but rather attentive—we are accountable to the Lord today, and every day. These truths are important reminders for the born-again Believer.

The Sting of It. Referring to something so real for you. Actually, you have been experiencing this pain in your heart for some time—months, years! Walking thru something hard that’s been brought on by the choices and decisions of someone else. It feels powerless with seemingly no relief in sight.  You are not alone. Similar situations exist for many. Which is why our focus must be on the One who is a perfectly righteous Judge—your Heavenly Father! His power to intervene transports you and those you love out of this present darkness into His very, very bright light. He is the revealer who brings even the darkest of motives out... into His marvelous light!

The powerful place family has in God’s heart and plan is recognizable in many ways—some of them especially significant considering the authority mandate given to parents described in Deuteronomy 11:19 and Proverbs 22:6. It’s why we’ve learned to pursue God and train our children to pursue Him, knowing that one of many rewards God has in mind is continual revelation and uncovering of the Kingdom, specifically available to parents and grandparents who serve Him in their generation. According to Deuteronomy 29, “the revealed things belong to you and to your children—forever!”  

Signs, wonders, and miracles—all supernatural interventions in lives today, often in even undeserving lives and situations. Shirley breaks down the meaning of each word to emphasize the importance of promptings felt in your heart, or in unexpected out-of-the-blue possibilities presented to you, sometimes even things you never would choose but now suddenly seem so right. These may be signs God is sending to you. Like an arrow directing you, point and nudging.

There is such a thing as a divine connection; when two people or two groups come together in a divinely orchestrated situation. These connections occur not only according to the Lord's planning and execution, but are happening more than you realize. If you are praying for your situation, remember that the Lord brings people together and creates specific circumstances for an eternal impact. Unforgiveness in the human heart begins small but enlarges to take over more territory, creating a heaviness that’s also dark. Creativity and natural energy levels seem to be less and less, impacted by the dark covering over the heart that holds onto unforgiveness. But God’s light can shine into that darkness, restoring light and everything connected. Shirley explains that darkness does not comprehend the One who is light, but you can. You are your best example of and the best demonstration of every revelation you receive from the Lord. The Holy Spirit is revealer, demonstrating your God-given revelations, through you! The Holy Spirit makes you not only the steward but also the demonstrator of any download you have from the Lord—He reveals through you. Which explains why enemies fight to crush you, to crush your revelation. Because you are the steward, the enemy plots to diminish in every way possible your revelation. Don’t fall for the enemy’s questioning regarding what you have, or do not have from the Lord. Remember this: God does not abort dreams, nor does he abort destinies; rather, the dream in your heart is put there by Him and your destiny literally is His desire for you. Deliverance = healing A great example of God's healing is through the deliverance of Moses and the Hebrew people at the Red Sea. To this day, man wants to see the miraculous, and God wants it, too! God wants it MORE because His Word says so, and He wants the Church to be this way – to correctly reflect HIM. The call of God covers every area of human existence, including that of the warrior—called to train, to discipline, to a noble cause. This is the resurrection message: It is well! The message of the resurrection of the Son of God from the dead. Of His defeat of death and hell, and rose again, and is seated at the right hand of God the Father Almighty. And those who believe in Him are seated WITH Him, at the right hand of the Father. The message of resurrection is a deliverance message. It is a healing message. With rescue from death, hell, fear, terror, torment, trauma, disaster and overwhelming assaults from every side.
