The stunning time your hearts be overcharged and with surfeit in drunkenness and the cares of this life is so that they come upon you unawares for as a snare shall come upon all them that well on the face of the whole earth watch you therefore, and pray always that you may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that you come come to pass in the stem before the Son of Man in that day when he was teaching in the temple and at night I went out in the boat in the mountain and it was called the Mount of olives and all the people came early in the morning to him in the temple for the here and now, here in this passage in chapter 21 is referring to the later the end times and that wouldn't what you can expect in the days just prior for the Lord's return effect in verse 25 uses the beast shall be signs in the sun and the moon and the stars, and upon the earth distress of nations, complexity, see waves, but here is talking in this passage, both current events in the future events that are applied here, both so he was speaking here as we take a look at verse 36 of the future tribulation where no here as he's gathered in the apostles and gather new people are asking him what was felt about 10 times when signs could be so on so forth.

And again he says will take heed to yourself listed any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeit in drunkenness, and cares of this life, and snow. The words he said and listen.

And he says what you therefore, and pray always that you may be accounted worthy to escape all of these things that shall come to pass in the stem before the Son of Man. Now what is he means by being worthy noise saying make sure that you are saved.

Make sure you been born again. Make sure that you call upon the Lord to repetitive or soon and see that's the point that is getting across to your and when he says watch therefore and all and pray always, you may be accounted worthy to escape all the things I wasn't referring to the apostles there because they knew he already had told them how they were gonna die.

So the message here is an eschatological message for the future events and he says again. Watch therefore pray always that you may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that you come to pass in the stem before the Son of Man them in over 2000 years you'll hear you hear either an area of zero tell you this whole time.

You Christians have been telling us that your Jesus will come back and take you to heaven well or you'll have have more free stuff than the government can give us here on earth is it is the mindset of the heathens out there what heaven is all about heaven is not about being redeemed about being there been an analyst in a world where there is no more sin no more death no more hatred lately got there clueless to them to them.

Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together and them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air.

And so shall we ever be with the Lord. Wherefore comfort one another with these words. Now here. Please refer intuitively talking about the Thessalonians. Wondered why so many other fellow believers had died and what would happen to them when Christ returns. Paul wanted to the Thessalonians to understand that death is not the end of the story when Christ returns all believers that alive will be reunited never to suffer or die again. So what Paul does mean when he says this we say unto you by the word of the Lord here we see that God revealed directly got it revealed directly to Paul. Remember, Paul spent three years in the Arabian desert being schooled and tutored by the Lord Jesus himself and here, so he was saying. Make it a very clear that in verse 15 for this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep and so because Jesus Christ came back to life so all believers all Christians including those living when he returns will live with Jesus forever.

Therefore function.

We need not despair when loved ones die or world events that a creditor we see that everyday. Now, God will turn our tragedies and triumphs and poverty is the riches and pain and glory were in defeat to victory in here when I generally sit we will stand before the Lord first set at the rapture that the bema seat and here the coming of the Lord is referred again. Now here is referring to the day of Christ and the dead in Christ shall rise first. The dead in Christ so the coming of the Lord is referring to the day of Christ and the day of Christ always refers to salvation. Christ is the Savior. He's the Messiah that he is the deliverer. He's the Redeemer. Another day of the Lord always refers to both the judgment and wrath, and also the devil is a blessing to save this they are not subject to the wrath of God. Want to take over now to chapter 5 and we read verses one through 11, when of the times and the seasons whether you have no need that I write into for yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night for when they shall say, peace and safety, then sudden destruction cometh upon them is to build upon a woman with child, and they shall not escape. But you brother are not in darkness, that they shall overtake you as a thief.

You are the children of light and the children of the day.

We are not of the night nor of darkness. Therefore let us not sleep, as do others, but let us watch and be sober, for they that sleep sleep the night and they that be drunken are drunken in the night but let us who were of the day be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love and for a helmet the hope of salvation for God not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ who died for us, that whether we are awake or asleep we should live together with him. Wherefore comfort yourselves together and edify one another is also you do not hear.

We seen over and over that effort to determine the date of Christ's return are absolutely foolish and folks again don't be misled by those that at the tell you that they know the date of Christ's return. Some years ago all way back in the 80s I had a fellow would call in on the radio program anyway. He was a great guy and that's when you know of computers over every everything was really picking up rapidly. Not like it is today, but with the computers and everybody wanted to try to put two predicted that the time of Christ returns and we've had throughout the years people doing that and in the Bible tells it not to do that is don't don't do that is foolishness to do that. And here today. We still have those that say they they know the date of his return. He's telling us that we need to be living in such a way as if we expect the Lord to return at any moment. And so, with an ace tell us we must keep encouraging each other to keep the faith and finish our race and support each other's ways, telling you here so for God have not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ. And here again as you near the end of of of a long race, your your legs aching throat burrows in your whole body cries out. Rest up, folks. This is with friends and friends are our welds are needed when you run this race and this is why we are to encourage each other because we got some interesting times and I mean would do some test very tough times heading this way, we are clearly in what the Lord Jesus spoke of is the day of sorrows were clearly there.

Clearly there and so here but he says for God have not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ dumped what is he talking about. He's talking about the tribulation. The great tribulation. This is the wrath I mean we hear the end of the church is always going through tribulation, but tribulation and the wrath of God are two different things.

That's what we've referred today's a great tribulation and deceit. There are those out there that keep telling you that the church is going to go through the tribulation and and here of the Bible clearly states that we won't go through. You state there would it would not map make sense at all. It would make no sense at all for the church to go to the tribulation. The tribulation period was for the purification of the wife of God which we see in the book of Hosea, another's of that's referring to the nation of Israel, the nation of Israel, so the purpose of the tribulation period was to the purification. Of Israel and to bring judgment upon the heathen nations in the church there is there is no no reason at all of for the church to have to go through that. In fact again. He says for God have not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ. So again we see one more time, he's telling Mr. that God has not appointed us to wrath, and he's telling us again that we should be ready. We should be looking and prepared for the Lord to come back at any time I want to go over to first Thessalonians chapter 1 and just read verses four through 10 we read knowing brother beloved your election of God for a gospel came not into you in word only, but also empower and in the Holy Ghost, and in much assurance that you know what manner of men we were among you for your sake and you became followers of us and of the Lord, having received the word in much affliction, with the joy of the Holy Ghost so that you are examples to all that believe in Macedonia and Acadia for from your sounded out the word of the Lord not only in Macedonia in a chaotic but also in every place that your faith to God's word to God word is spread abroad so that we need not speak anything for they themselves show of us what manner of entering and we head into you and how you turned to God from idols to serve in the living and true God, and to wait for his son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead, even Jesus, which delivered us from the wrath to come. So again here. Now he's referring to being delivered from the wrath to come to Paul emphasizes Christ's second coming. Throughout the Bible because Thessalonian church was was being persecuted but encourage them to look forward to the deliverance Christ would bring in a believer's hope is in the return of Jesus, the great God and Savior so here some of those Thessalonian believers thought that will they would be protected. The millennium actually thought they would be protected from death until Christ returns for them when some began to die under persecution. They started questioning their faith in Paul explained to them what happens when you die just rather get employees both to the tribulation and to the lake of fire and here again let me read you here, he says, which even Jesus was delivered us from the wrath to come, which delivered us from the wrath to come. And then that we see here to to church as the obedient church which is the church of Philadelphia and the lukewarm church was the church of the Laodiceans and some here as we read into the angel of the church in Philadelphia write these things saith he that is holy, he that is true, he that hath the key of David.

Note the key of David, of was the authority the authority here to open the doors of invitation into the future kingdom after the doors open.

No one can close it. Salvation is assured. Once his clothes. He says no one can open it and so here again is he's talking about.

We have the authority God gave us the authority to evangelize. No recess.

Jesus went back to be with the father for the last 2000 years the world has tried to keep us from evangelize. They have at the they try to pass laws. He makes a very, very clear in Zechariah that the was going to happen is only two thirds, two thirds of those that are professing to be Jews are going to perish in only one and that one third will turn to the Lord and here I want to go to Zechariah and chapter 13 verse seven awake all his own sword against my shepherd against the man that is my fellow, saith the Lord of hosts.

Might the shepherd of the sheep shall all be scattered, and I will turn mine hand upon the little ones and it should come to pass, that in all the land, saith the Lord two parts therein shall be cut off, but the third shall be left therein, and I will bring the third part through the fire and I will refine them as silver is refined, and I will try them as gold is tried and they shall call my name and I will hear them. I will say that my people, and they shall, saith the Lord is my God. And so that's who the Lord is referring to here and then he goes on he said again. That will abundantly replicate here again he's referring to this great tribulation. Again, there would be no reason at all for the church to go through that it would be totally contrary. Then he goes on to say, behold, I come quickly, hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown him, and overcome with that will make a pillar in the temple of my God and he shall go no more out and I will write upon him the name of my God and the name of the city of my God, which is new Jerusalem, which cometh down from heaven from my God and I will write upon him my new name and he that Heather here and here, let them hear what the Spirit saith J and so here no when they say in his.

I will also keep you from the hour of temptation. How to keep from you left behind what we do over here to first second Peter chapter 1 verses 1011 wherefore the rather brother, give diligence to make your calling and election sure if you do these things you should never fail for so an entrance shall be ministered into abundantly in the everlasting kingdom of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ note. In other words, Peter. Peter was telling them hereto that there is good to be false teachers learn that they that taught that like many of those today that good works was not evidence of salvation.

You never really paid any attention to what they were saying. So you never really received or rejected the truth. No no time. There's no time to waste no. You must find the King James Bible and learn the truth. Remember that the sign at that church that you never attended down the street. There was a big cytosine John 316. So you go and you find this King James Bible you read John 316, and then he read the whole chapter then you end up saying the sinners prayer and now you feel the same sense of peace and in relief. Things are changing very very rapidly. You must with extreme caution. Try to find others like yourself that you have been in hiding and have read about the rapture and the tribulation of things are now starting to fall into place and make sense know you are so very glad that your family has been caught up to be with the Lord, and you want to join them. So you read about the beast and his number 666 you know that no matter what the cost. You must not take the number you must resist in the death and witness unto as many others like yourself that have been left behind no here want to go back and read this verse 11 over this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie that they all might be damned who believed not the truth but have pleasure in unrighteousness. Well, you know, there are and what is referring to the those that heard God's truth and understood God's truth and then rejected it.

Lord Jesus has said to the religious leaders. The Pharisees had you not been shown that do not seen what I've done had you not been shown and in had you not been told within you have no no sin solicit you been told since you've been shown. You have no cloak for yourself and your guilty and here in this this case a lot of people. This was good be so many people saved during the tribulation period is the many many will hear the gospel for the first time. There's no no thirst out there today for the for the gospel of Christ, folks that they're just not in oh people church you church attendance is way way off the ones that have the mega churches of their not like preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ would buy preaching a prosperity message basically telling people how they can become rich. The lowest and he said to me, these are they which came out of the great tribulation that have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.

Therefore, they there before the throne of God and serve him day and night in his temple and heated set of them throne shall dwell among them. They shall hunger no more need to thirst anymore. Neither shall the sun light on them during the heat for the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them, and he shall lead them into living fountains of water, and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes. Note here Scripture tells us effectively.

Go back a little bit and started verse nine we read this and after this I beheld the Lord great multitude a great multitude, which no man could number of alterations and kindreds of people with the symbol for the throne and before the Lamb."

White robes, and palms in their hand and cried out with a loud voice in salvation toward God the set up on the throne of the lymph node here again there's going to be more people saved it and some and some actually some theologians actually believe that there will be more people actually saved during the tribulation period that have been saved all way up to the tribulation. In I don't know if that's that that's true but I I can see that it could be. And so here were we going to see when the Lord returns back to earth and as we see what as he's returning back to earth and we see that over here in the book of Revelation. In chapter 19 and we see as is the Lord of the writer of the Whitehorse and I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse and he that sat upon him was called faithful and true in righteousness he does joint judge and make war in his eyes were a flame of fire and he had in his head were many crowns in a name written, that no man knew, but he himself and he was close with vesture dipped in blood, and his name was called the Word of God and the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, global refinement, white and clean, and out of his mouth went a great sharp sword, that with it should be should smite the nations, and he shall rule them with a rod of iron and a trend in the winepress of the fierceness of wrath of Almighty God and he has on his vesture and on the hot side a name written, King of Kings and Lord of lords. So here he's talking about four categories of sites is going back back to earth and is going to return with four categories of saints. The first word with signs of the word saints was used to decay all that was for the Angels. The second was the old testament saints. The third was the New Testament saints, and the fourth is the tribulation saints, and so the Lord will be returning back to earth at the end of the tribulation. They know the lingo and all the they don't know cheat and relying on other tradition in their shock mount that not all what what percentage of their their membership really like that but you know I think it would really shock many of the church members to know how many of those in the pulpit are saved.

People are looking for. People want to go to heaven and they're looking for another way, there is no other way. We have to remember heaven of God's home.
