When Did You Last Experience Complete Darkness?

When's the last time you experienced complete darkness.

This we were back in the word unexperienced truth in our journey through the book of Luke, you were to look at the central event of all of history. The cross of Jesus Christ his final moments were suddenly the darkness came in the middle of the execution of the God man all the lights went out.

It turned pitch black at high noon. But why enter one of the greatest mysteries and all of history with me is my psychic man a God mentor, friend, longtime talk shows himself the Christian car guy Robbie or Robbie were in Luke chapter 23. This is sacred ground theologians. I guess that you know this is what the next question points to regular so what's important about Jesus final buying words from across so these final dying words and in this this part two will cut in a way answer that question with a question, but so how does this show his willingness to lay down his life.

So really beautiful. Verse 46 when Jesus cried out with a loud voice he said father now to the open of the cross, father forgive. He closes the cross, he always across intercession as an intercessor right for those the sins of man, he closes it across the great intercessor, he says, into your hands I commit my spirit and having said this, he breathed his last. So these are the final words of Jesus as he died and you have seven total status of Christ by the way, three, or in Luke 23 was recovered in the study and experience truth three or in John 19 and then one the profound one about Mina my God my God that is both in Matthew and Mark. It's so profound, but it's the only word from across it's in those two Gospels. Interesting enough, so here you have Jesus willingly laying down his life.

Who's really in control from his dying moment. Atoning for our sins, he laid his life down. He willingly gave up his spirit and breathed his last, and he willingly lived intercede for us and he will. He is sovereign in control and we we see that ever more present in you know these final words and is profound. I mean is a lot to think about that. His father is laying his hands down in his father's and ended the repercussions of all this did it get even more intense, so what's significant about the veil being torn into while the veil was torn into that veil was massive. That veil was that they say would take several men on horseback to take that veil down and that veil was thick. Maybe you drew 3 feet thick and heavy. So for it to be torn from top to bottom, indicated the hand of God in it. Also, the veil stands for access to God.

You know that the holy of holies no one would go in there that through that curtain. No one could go to this. I was so thick going there would be to be certain death unless you high priest, and this is the day of atonement, unless you are completely pimped out like you're supposed to be in okay according to law enters chapters and chapters of this of the Old Testament bigotry. These guys are washed properly cleansed probably were the proper you know clothing in a phage and all that stuff the go-ahead from their head to their toe.

I was beyond beautiful. Especially when you think about what was in the ark of the covenant. Whoops. Behind that curtain was the man that was the law it was the staff that butted all that now belongs in our hearts right we get man every morning. If we get up and get it if we read the word like you obviously did get the stuff we we get right the law. It was written on your heart. As a result of that curtain be important to you had access directly to the lobby. Now the law is not our enemy condemning us the laws are friend informing us and growing us right right in the next at that, but it is the most beautiful staffers and almonds. Is there like why do we pray sent to me like we got a little wheel little four-year-old who's now scared to death if I die before I wake up early the but the Hebrew moms and as we pray that father that has been my spirit beautiful quote directly from Psalm 31, five, and that this idea father commences safe in it.

I hands look at the mighty hand of God. All thrusters are his hands to heal his hamster to lead us his hands to protect us is asked to provide for me. You have the hands of God everywhere. So here Jesus Christ is laying his hands.

His heart his life bring his last into the mighty hands of God as he closes out and I want that to be my prayer every day. Father, into thy hands, not stews and Robbie sent into thy hands I commit my spirit and have a truly come to point where I got to that veil and have received the gift of salvation. He's hang on across outstretched arms inviting you to trust him inviting you into relation with the father either Jesus Christ. Either you receive him and bow to him and receive him or he will be your judge.
