Bubbles withdrawn with laser march up rate will be looking this morning versus 27 to 33 and Jesus went on with his disciples to the villages of Caesarea Philippi and all the way he asked his disciples, who do people say that I am. They told him John the Baptist others say Elijah and others. One of the prophets and yes Liam, but who do you say that I am Peter answered him, you are the Christ, and he strictly charged them to tell no one about him and he began to teach them that the Son of Man must suffer many things be rejected by the elders and the chief priests and scribes be killed after three days rise again. We said this plainly, Peter took him aside and began rebuking but turning and seeing his disciples, he rebuked Peter and said get behind me Satan you are not setting your mind on things of God but on the things of man that with me as we go to our Lord in prayer. Heavenly father has today we look at this passage of Scripture that teaches us that we need to stand firm to develop a spiritual backbone to confess Christ in his truth without wavering.

We listen to Peter's confession. We just want to cheer Peter stood up and shouted Jesus you are the Christ, the son of the living God. Some folks were leaning that way some folks were hoping it was true. Some folks were considering it.

Peter said without excuse or equivocation. Jesus you are the Christ, the son of the living God on a pair Peter on the back and give Peter and Adam boy. He stood firm didn't take long before he puffed up with pride he rebuked Jesus Christ for speaking of is soon coming crucifixion, and a few months later, the same Peter cursed and swore to little girl that he did.

Even though Jesus made Peter's confession motivate us to stand strong.

May Peter's failures help us to realize that if we do anything right is the grace of God annoy me with your spirit that I would preach truth. May Jesus Christ be exalted by this congregation beatified what is the holy and precious name of Jesus that we pray. Amen
