Rich weighs in on the latest PGA Tour defection with 2-time U.S. Open champion Brooks Koepka joining the LIV Golf series and laments that the upstart Saudi-backed tour is “destroying the game of golf.”
NFL Network Analyst Daniel Jeremiah tells Rich why he’s expecting a big leap by the young but talented New York Jets, which NFL rookies will shine the most next season, why the Bengals’ Super Bowl run was no fluke, if this is Tua Tagovailoa’s year to fully blossom with the Dolphins, and weighs in on if Baker Mayfield is truly done with the Browns, how much pressure (if any) is on Aaron Rodgers, if the Dallas Cowboys will be better or worse next season, if the 49ers have passed the torch from Jimmy Garoppolo to Trey Lance, and if the Raiders can top the Chiefs, Chargers and Broncos to win the AFC West.
Rich comments on the Yankees’ and Aaron Judges’ arbitration hearing and says why his Pinstripes are “out of their mind” by squeezing the slugger for $4 Million this year.

What's your favorite season is on the first day of summer left didn't to the next Lord Charles.goodness that 12 six went right off the bat.
Alex is your summer scrape, it follows that when there's football so I know that's that's always great change of temperature leaves turn outage a fairly good to great gifts from both guys this morning feeling good gifts about residual is happy to see him. Okay, good to see old Jefferson how are you what weird starts is the that the candles lit. Good to see over the well, we are breaking news there is a boy I meet. How many times have we gone on the year and news is broken. Certainly in the world of football breaking news Tony Busby the attorney for the plaintiff's in the dish on Watson case the 24 civil lawsuits that have been filed against the Sean Watson, the lead attorney for all of the lawsuits Tony Busby just put out a statement about 10 minutes ago that all the cases against the Sean Watson, with the exception of war have been settled. He talked about the brave and strong women.
One of them that got it all started Ashley so lease is her name and I Busby said at the time of that one phone call over a year ago she was just one of hundreds of calls seeking legal assistant in our firm gets weekly.
She mentioned the case about Watson.
They felt offended by the response from Watson's original lawyer. He said that it the law firm was convinced to try to help her. As a result of Ashley's loan but brave voice soon. Many women would allegedly spring to same conduct were emboldened to step forward. He talked about the dreadful experience the vile criticism and fanatical ignorance that they have endured throughout this entire process.
The truth is, without her courage and willingness to come for the NFL wouldn't currently be contemplating discipline there would be no examination of how teams might knowingly or unknowingly enable certain behavior. Sports teams would be viewed reviewing their personnel screening processes in this important story would've dominated the sports headlines for more than a year. Today I announce that all cases against the Sean Watson, with the exception of four have settled working through the paperwork related to those settlements once we've done so those particular cases will be dismissed terms and amounts of the settlements are confidential.
We won't comment further on the settlements or those cases. As stated Ashley so lease is one of the heroes of the story or case is not settled and thus her story and that of the other three, but brave women will continue.
I look forward to trying these cases. In due course consistent with other docket obligations in the court schedule that is Tony Busby on that Ashley so lease was the first woman to step forward well over a year ago. Her case certainly has made headlines, a lot of the details from the depositions including the one that Watson gave have certainly created headlines.
Watson noticed that so lease was crying at the end of their session there massage session. Watson said in his deposition he didn't know why she had cried so lease that Watson intentionally touched her during the massage with a body part that shall remain nameless, but I think we can all assume it is here just afternoon time on this day.
Asked why he sent an apology. The text was sorry about you feeling uncomfortable never worthy intentions. Let me know if you want to work in the future. My apologies. Watson testified he sent the apology because she was teary-eyed and I was trying to figure out what was going on so I assume that she was uncomfortable in whatever reason we talked about working in the future is in. So I said we can work in the future. Just let me know when I sent my apologies. It whatever reason she was teary-eyed for so that will be moving forward and three other cases will be moving forward and I guess other cases can be filed. If I'm not mistaken, there is a two-year statute of limitations on this.
So now again the of for other cases in the NFL will be on the clock and Watson has taken 20 I guess of these cases and to be talking about it and he swore he wasn't gonna settle what he has and I think the court of public opinion is ruling every single day bang in the gavel.
I know I have here on this set and for him. That means for 20 the cases, the questions asked of him.
He's like they've been settled. I can't comment on it, as opposed to word salad that's come out of his mouth and made things far worse for him. And the question is has he lied to the league as he lied to the Browns any way shape or form. And if that's the case, or freeze, disassembled, or he's avoided the truth. Then he will hear about it but he swore he wasn't going settled there is a settlement, so that's the latest on that and we now await how everything else will fall into place from the league and walked what might come of that.
But I don't think just the mere settling is going to have him avoid any subject matter from the league to suspend him as you know, the league said that they believe it's can it be significant and I and I believe it should be based on everything that you see and I should mention again.
No criminal charges have been filed in the case of these are civil cases that are still outstanding and so is a ruling from the league on how few games to Sean Watson will play this year. Another story that came out today. The U.S. Open is in the books the live tours back on the docket this week there in the state of Oregon there playing in the United States and a United States open Champion couple times over said he sent Brooks capital last week who didn't want to discuss any of this for fear of overshadowing the U.S. Open are not giving it its due clearly was thinking about it. Clearly something was on is an awkward, clearly something was afoot, and you know and I don't blame him for coming out right at the U.S. Open saying I'm out here kind of a tough spot. But that's what all of these players are in and I guess that's what you're taken the big bucks from the live tour in the Saudi investment fund and the PGA Tour now loses on another big name player and what it looks like to me is the PGA Tour's gonna take all these hats and how many of the events over the next few months on the PGA Tour, Brooks capital was going to play anyway you supposed to play this week at the travelers I go live tour in Oregon is on the 30th locates next next we supposed to play. He still on the docket is no PGA Tour didn't actually suspend any of the guys until they took a shot and right so Brooks might still play this week in Connecticut at the travelers. He hasn't made any announcement, this is just a report from and often the worldwide leader in sports filed. I am not gonna sit here and say these guys are anything but out for themselves mean an insane amount of monies being put on the table and I would profit to say anybody was out there would have to think real hard before saying know about it. Brooks, his brother is on the tour as well. The live tour as well Mina but it's not real tournament golf with these. These would would would plan. It's it's 54 holes at the shotgun start.
There is no caught.
It's an exhibition tour and I guess the that will be something that they innovate they live tour will bristle about being an exhibition tour, but that's what it is because there's no history to it.
And even if they do it for five years. Whatever in the history of the live tour. There hasn't been a single player that's Mr. caught there's no pressure is no pressure accepted unit not playing well enough to see anybody snap the club in half and throw it because if they did, there's more money where that came from in order to replace it on the spot or another. There is there there is no intensity to it.
Merrill there will never be any intensity to it. It will just be a fun tour for these guys to go around in cash insane checks that none of the fans of golf can actually relate to know that I know that the purses are going up and on the PGA Tour as well. The U.S. Open's respondent what they had a $3 million prize the first place. This time around and jammed it up million dollars. But all this is going to do is just serve to take fewer players away from the PGA Tour and put them on a tour that will be difficult to find, with no real stakes to and the person who loses out is the fan of professional golf wants to see the best players play against the best players with stakes on the line where if you don't play well you Mr. caught and you are also getting your game ready for the majors because you are playing intensely pressurized golf against the best players and that's what the tour is for now will be fewer of those players and fewer viewers of interest so when you hear any of these players say they're just trying to grow the game of golf. All they're doing is basically destroying it or watering it down and living out the dream of a very seemingly bitter, angry guy and Greg Norman wanted to take a piece out of the tour and finally found the a partner in the Saudi's were going to bankroll it run like the Greg Norman revenge tour as he stares people down, and everyone avoids the responsibility for all who they're taking the money from why what I want to watch what they're doing with the with the weird team rules that I have no idea what they are.
You know what those avatars for what the 15-year-olds on tick-tock are interested in live tour like what were we doing so. I hear that a bobcat Kept at Mike. I guess I'll miss him and Belo in the travelers and whatever I guess will all miss him, but is a play that much any name is and that's why was a major event, but he's always a fun and compelling live courses and majors and is healthy this year. He really has been healthy and has been eating that well in the majors but so they've date the thing they make the tour they get there name they get there fame and they get there.
The amount history making career and bail when somebody waves a bigger check out. I guess that's free agency.
I guess that's again what a lot of us would do so. I understand it's their choice men and and they've made it but just don't. Just don't give me that were grown. The game of golf.
That's not what you're doing what you're doing is you're acting out somebody's revenge tour is really what it is and he's gotten his peace man because they are getting big name players. I guess Kevin Van Falkenberg or friend or from yesterday called in couple weeks ago, says the Saudi's are putting up 2 billion. They got a pool of $2 billion to spend it.
There is no competing with that so I just don't want to hear that were growing the game of golf is manifest what you're doing is watering it down and I don't know what the PGA Tour's going to do except at some point either wait this thing out and see what the ratings look like see what the partners of the of the sport. Think you know and and and assume that once football rolls around in four weeks were not talking about the live tour. I mean when when training camps open up the Baker Mayfield is going to go somewhere or not, or DeShawn Watson is suspended or not. Assuming you will be the Cowboys are to be startup their training camp and then preseason games happening.
College football begins.
Were not talking about the live tour may that's of the PGA Tour's enemy banking on. Then all of a sudden what they get for 56 other significant players and then working to start seeking out on on the Internet what it looks like Jasmine. This is going till the end of October when the last event of the year is October 27-30. You guess what that's that's just what I'm sure the PGA Tour's bank and onto demand ectomy that data is event coming up this week June. The second event the eighth event in the final one of this year is October 27 to the 30th in Miami. Automatic October 27. That's when their Billy B Miami yet final event of the got it. That's also the night the ravens or at the box on Thursday night football yet dolphins are going to be at the lines at weeks. I guess they they have the states themselves. Sports was that your patriots at Jets Steelers and Eagles Niners at the Rams Packers at the bills. She's see only the notes in college football. I think that's a week in Michigan. Michigan State usually politely play the last week of the goodbye room. Whatever following so that's what they're basically banking on monopoly or talk about it now because were in the middle of June and is undergoing on bombing outside of the middle Tampa Bay Lightning take a piece of the avalanche funneling about noon on the Yankees coming back from law, the loss you have any article you have 17 years ago hundred and 45 and 17 graduation register bombing again. That's what I guess there banking on is that the live tour at some point in the PGA Tour will endure because they have decades of history and experience and a competition is no shotgun starts There's actual more holes after 54th and people get caught 844204 Rich number.Daniel Jeremiah let's talk some ball okay Kevin Clark wrote about the subject matter live in PGA Tour for the ringer and then our number 31 of our favorites is been around on the show multiple times. Rob Cordry is back here on this program. He is God, season two of Top Gear America start top gear motor transit top-tier America that's streaming starting on July 1 easier in studio's diehard patriot fan hatched Rob Cordry so that's in our number three TJ Jefferson you are focusing on the NFC South today correctly or best players in the history of each franchise is in the vanity South.
I can't wait to hear if you have Tom Brady, a buccaneer, though that would be fascinating to me. If you serious. Brady is your buccaneer is a short list that we may have been on MLK very good that's coming up here on this edition of the rich doesn't show when we come back we'll talk symbolic Daniel Jeremiah who is locked in on everything involving the professional pigskin 844204 Rich number dog your phone calls as well. Here on the summer solstice tradition does your antiperspirant keep you dry all day.men plus gear dry spray goes on instantly drive for cleaner fuel and offers 48 hours sweat and order protection repeat that 48 hours of sweat and order protection. Use it and don't even think about it also.men dry spray contains doves unique one quarter moisturizing cream.
It helps protect your skin trite dub men plus gear dry spray goes on dry cleaning feel all day but I got a Rich Eisen show terrestrial radio outfit one big happy families. My buddy from the from the NFL network NFL media group is move the sticks podcast with Bucky Brooks makes everybody smarter 90s diehard Padre financer to mix a little bit sports with a beautiful June summer solstice day when Daniel Jeremiah chimes in on the Mercedes-Benz vans from on how you doing their teacher I will congratulate you. Yes, that's phenomenal. Rick, thanks for all the projects that you endure.
You deserve the Yankees again then I would say no. Told me before that no techie boy smelled terrible, and where a 15/500 bucks 70 games and tied with the doctor I'll take you to sign so that what is 20s, back when he got me on the inside information on that one boy got scanned for wait for the next scan been really close but they been very cautious and I think the fact that you're doing so well is probably allowed to be more cautious with but I mean I think you probably get it probably comes back at or around the. The All-Star break probably will after the All-Star break would be my Shadow he took a spill the other day that will that will make you nervous, but then it looks like not even a high ankle blowing you should be okay. Congressman that's something which is there an exciting way. I've been working on for so I might use much much terrible terrible. I'm sure it would be to think approximately everyone direct our real classes the cooler.
He's been a cool like he's two games in Anaheim 11 misplacement 101, what would you say the jets you know have you have given me so much grief and I deserve the Yankees for when you are so yeah I saw you on flight 2020 2022 on the Jets and all hard knocks. If you will. I saw you talking about how the jets have finally, this is when it now button for that matter. I spoke to Robert Sahl yesterday seem ready to roll correct equipment that you met you I have yet but you've met Braveheart referent of the kind of built up off the caf better or current draft outgoing cash and admitted they'd unloaded it so near the schedule.
Richard brutalized. See but cannot. They have sold many good young players reflected but you member the Seahawks got to the point were to have too many good players.
You can't help but when it happened.
There's too much talent. I think there is not to that point yet, but there are no other Gartner and can be fun to watch. You know there's going to be weeks where you can dear will do some awesome stuff and you'll see three tall young make big plays.
The next week and you got some some young stud B Lyman McQuinn, Williams, Veneta, you know paper play year Pikeville he could he could have a monster to get guys around and finally so are you saying the jets are potentially like the 2013 Seahawks everything your twofer Zach Wilson making a comparison. I think I think the Internet to go to the one thing that I think that there's a big leap.
I don't think it is going to be.
You have when a couple more games next year. Couple more games. I think this was such an influx of talent that I think they can make a pretty sizable week this year Daniel Jeremiah here on the Rich Eisen show what's your sense now that where two months clear draft and we seen a little bit of OTA's who would be your your peg for rookie of the year on either side of the football this year.
Daniel, who yeah not that great caught Jimmy not not surprised, not surprised you hear me say this, but looking back how Hamilton depicted the Raven like you know you have a monster year like that happened to them all the time is one of the best players in the draft you can fall on their lap there to plug them into that system or their altar aggressive and he's probably gonna pick off six or seven balls and be the defective work in a year like it just bound to happen.
So, you like him as a decent severity, dear, what about our sense what is exalted and started at a dartboard, but given the world anyway yeah I really like recall and I know, this trend of patronage or anything. He's gonna be a combination of Michael Carter. I think you probably get more good the goal line touches so you be able to pilot touchdown catch the ball. That would be probably my favorite, and then I would look at Drake wanted to note that the number of targets he should get there meant basically him and and pits) and I wanted unlimited maybe trailing a little bit games so he might get a chance to have somebody with a lot of kind of forget about him since he was, not even the first Ohio State receiver taken any sit down there and I know a number still is, wondering who the Saints are going to be what about him about his possibilities. Flight ready to go like polished polished polished right on, maybe more so than any of the receiver so I got a chance to come out again and make an impact. It's just hard to I want see what happened to Michael, and See what this often looks like Sean Payton me know how did James come along to some unknown there, so it's hard to predict what you going to do, but I think you're onto something there just in terms of the guy who did great pro he's ready to go, Daniel, Jeremiah, my buddy from NFL network. Move the sticks contest. Carlos is lucky proxy on the Rich Eisen show or not, but we not talk about what what what are water and once it's on a valuation community or analyst community talking about. That's not really at the forefront of everyone's mind, I would at the game. Rich believe you were there. Well, since Super Bowl played in Los Angeles. I know the Rams won that game. Yes I know there's been like movies made about the rams that I know this Stafford and Ann McNair and every commercial that there was another team in their I'm quite certain I remember it and I think it was the Bengals but I'm not sure because literally nobody said one word about so were not looking at the Bengals right now what you're saying that the vision they were in the dank Super Bowl.
Most discussed team in their own division to Greenland for obvious reasons. Just had been a topic of conversation Pittsburgh when the quarterback job that that's a big deal. I have a now start the air without Ben Rothberg and the Raymond you got one market contract situation can they stay healthy there to bear the team every 22. It did make the playoffs jump right back into it and I like the Cincinnati Bengals were in the dank Super Bowl with a superstar young quarterback now. Maybe the most fun offense to watch in the league when they get rolling. They had a crappy offense of line busy felt the entire thing in the off-season and I just feel like nobody talking about what is year to year three leap for borrower look like today, possibly even look like in your mind, Daniel.
I think it's another year removed from the knee. So I think you see him hopefully that happen around for life. He's going to be able to use it like Mario could be selectively aggressive to be able to take off and get you yell for what you think about home having certain fours between the homes now take off and go get them in the art get down statement so you can see a little more life, and the like to joke girl, you know, we noted what he does from the neck up. How quickly he can process them and throw the ball accurately and I think now you can see, the more that show out your remote Jeremiah here on the Rich Eisen show what you think of the thousands, and we just talked about how the Bengals are are not even the most talked about team in their division or or or force most talked about team in their division and then they get lost in the conference conversation because of the AFC West how loaded they are women so we are talking about the Dolphins because of Tyree kills addition and Mike McDaniel being Maren and have a how how fast they can be in the matchup problems as if to a and the two nonbelievers are our right and how well they could perform what you think DJ will living under rocket thing a big hole in the two are not just the dates you just tune on is very real and they get very angry at being slanderous door to a non-graded existence of what people admit that the thing about the doll I love I love a good point. I love you know the speed with with voluntary kill and run after catch up to is very accurate underneath. I think that working people there okay how about the big arm to be able to get the ball to the top. I don't think that's what this offense is really going to be so. I like all that stuff. The thing that I don't like very up in the air on what with hold off with Phyllis offense of linking together.
They were atrocious. I know that Brian Armistead that's the obvious upgrade. There's a lot of other? In that group.
So I'm curious to see how that all comes together and executes a phenomenal athlete. What I want the best and most athletic tight ends we have in the lake but not really in line guy so how's he going to fit in. Now and into this offense and so there still some? There for me. I'm not ready to go completely online, but they're definitely going to be fun to watch a tree look like so Jeremiah here on the rich as a joke. Let's spend our remaining time with you checking my work so many many folks out there may not know, and I'll admit this Chris I don't even know if you guys know this but whenever I come up with my top five lists every now and then I'll all floated by Daniel if I'm from, you know, my work is checked. Like I make sure that I get a red pencil from Daniel Jeremiah 1st. That's how much I respect and adore you DJs I run these things by you first. I don't think I did this though, so I I came up with a list of my top five items that I talked myself into believing prior to the NFL season. On this program okay and you tell me if if if I'm right, you do have the Mike Hoskins you have them ready for me here to put up the first one. If you don't mind. Number five is Baker Mayfield has played his last down for the Browns is knocking a plan. Other down for them regardless of what happens with the Sean Watson what you think will go through all of you are yes and it hard to get graded like PSA and yet they nine so I'm writing down your stuff. I'm beginning to DJ graded number okay very good ears number four number four. The list there is zero pressure on Erin Rogers the season keep keep on hearing over and over and over again that he's got pressure on him is one of the quarterbacks at the most pressure on and on like there's zero pressure on Erin Rogers this season. The guy is back to back MVPs. I know there's no Devante Adams but I think his place in his mind to secure. Of course you like another ring, but he's cool and that's my opinion on that number three on the list. The cowboys have absolutely taken a step back this year.
I do not believe that they are improved they might not even win their division. I think the cowboys have absolutely taken a step back this year. Number two on the list. I'm really going down the 49ers of Trey lances team now okay like the whole business to Jimmy G. Still there is because he's hurt. Not any insurance that Lance may not be ready. The Niners are ready to finally live and die with every snap with this kid and get them ready. That's number two in the number one is the Raiders again when the AFC West, I, I, I, like Devante there.
I think Josh McDaniels being there with this new offense we just talked to Wally yesterday says that it if you file Adams's double covered. There is he mace him and then there's Renfro in the middle of the field spinning around making people look foolish. He said, and I like Chandler Jones being added Daniel Jeremiah have now given your five anything. Start with the first 1 acre done in Cleveland. I had initially ate DJ graded and wickedly perfect, but I drop it down to a nine okay just for the sake if an announcement were to come the next couple days but it was a full year. Maybe that causes them to reconnect for the better of both parties and make it just kinda give him this year he would be okay with any scenario if the Sean is 68 1012 if you going to be there and play a football game this year.
I don't see any chance the Baker Mayfield want to be a part.
The only way I would say it's possible to full year suspension or for your plots and bakers that okay I'll suck it up and come in here do that so that you that a nine no pressure on Rogers.
I want to give them the great that it ate. I agree with you, from the standpoint of you take the receiver out about it. She'll get when you cam in the golf event the other day I see is a very relaxed, you did not have the appearance of somebody under pressure, but I think once they find their way into the tournament and then that talk start again about the Super Bowl. He had one. I think he could get on with you up to the level of eight also a level of eight on the cowboys taking a step back, I would bet on the better. I don't know they're going to be a con worse so I think they're kind of a nuclear bomb given aid on that one. I think some of the young people as we look at parking, scratching the surface, which is scary big thing and take a football away so I ate on that one can is this a treatment team.
I am going to get 10 on that one little baby hundred percent for think it's go time for him.
I don't know. By the way, I know it's so weird to me of it. So many people that have not been to a 49ers practice on the outside hemlock criticism that they're assuming you haven't heard this better together.
He's not ready and you got it good never had so much been made without any eye contact of what's going on with you know you will digress you are actually spot on, giving the tenant a 10 on that okay so what about number one Mr. charger lampstand that I know I'm talking to me and I'll be out. Yes, in my inbox this morning with my updated two-year contract with the chart. I cannot go over it right so that full disclosure, I love it so cowboys you think the come on man.
I mean Gallup is hurt since Cedric Wilson was terrific for them last year. He's gone right. I mean, the offense of line. The improvement date. Did they actually improve that for them to good player and play guard will be an adjustment.
There you know you got the old guy out there help in ending. Randy Gregory's gone deer is not approved and then and then like you know Jerry Jones says Sean Payton.
It's just a bunch of air.
There's no they are there right there is none that McCarthy is actually equipped to win the Super Bowl this year. It just seems all there's always something here. Let me give you a very compelling case of life that back.
Let me make the case for why couldn't we, as good as it was last freak show the village at number one receiver. You look at DAC manual healthier. That should help with him coming forward.
I think when you look on the defensive side of the ball.
You know, this is the name we didn't talk about it much because there were some major off the field stuff, but Sam Williams that the pastor at all. That's right you been a top 20 pick if he didn't have a litany of issues off the field so the talent is there. So I think you'll see him have an impact and I think you know you look at the potential having a probable quarterback in maybe I don't know that. Is there more dynamic defensive player more versatile player. All right, now that Mike Carson*and it got ended got coordinator Dan Quinn who I think is good coordinator we have got continuity with Kellen Moore on the often pathetic at our thinking of taking a major step back. Daniel Jeremiah greatly appreciated. Congrats on the new two-year deal with you calling James the Chargers. I love hearing that that makes me happy. If that makes you happy and it was great seeing you at the symposium. The other day were you there when Jennie Garth step down along with Tori spelling.
I mean talk about two names I never thought would ever be associated with an NFL network media Summit, but they were there, you verify one digit I was there and I had I had a question in the queue ready to go and I didn't know appropriate. Just wanted to know how upset were they when Emily Valentine burned low, just seem like over aggressive move on her part, but I did not evaluation it was over aggressive slander evaluation is that much Daniel you be well served. Thanks the time, let's do it again in the summer to see you, buddy You're the only Daniel Jeremiah when only extremely interesting people told you that I got I got inside info info that that Kyle Brandt asked the first question of Jennie Garth and I'm sure he had nine more. As well, mother. Thank you.let's take a break. Here's here's the once I saw this today before the show and I'm like I gotta talk about. I got to use this platform to talk about.
This is the one thing that could derail what's going on with the Yankees in their 50 winds out of their first 67 games.
I saw this on Mike you gotta be kidding me that's coming out next year on the rich eyes and show back here on the rich eyes and show terrestrial radio offer Mike Florio Pro football talk. I had him to the mix in our number two, he's going to join us to discuss the DeShawn Watson settling 20 of his 24 civil lawsuit cases by McCarthy's been spokesman for the NFL. Ever since I joined it so that it does not affect the collectively bargained process of investigation. This doesn't affected it all is what he said stick this phone call Dave in Orlando Florida you're here on the program. What's up David tomorrow. I don't think cowboys can dilute people don't realize Jack Nicholas years ago Arnold Palmer and a couple other American. And if you take a look at it like the NI LDL is going to put money. I have a product that I love the fact that there will get more got because there's not enough golf on TV and I know in football over the one thing McLean reported more shadow the shotgun start, but if you look at it this way all the golfers on the course at the same time so cost-effectiveness the only volunteers out there first amount of time. They don't have to pay the announcers to be out there for certain amount of time. Very effective. Go to get started. This is probably the way that offering are you going to seek out are you watching live Garcia deftly analogic time instead of the travelers watch it or I'm a guy I guess were instead of whatever's two weeks from now on the PGA Tour that you want to work for a living and I have multiple screen going on my computer with multiple key golf on one channel and compete. That's the next call.
Dave greatly appreciated the conflict or love hearing that I don't think the Saudi's are concerned with cost-effective not that since it's got nothing to do with money. It's got to do with what they want to do with their their world and their business and try and take people's I off whatever part of their business that no one eyeballs on and then Greg Norman wants take a piece out of the PGA Tour make a boatload of money so you can build another Cypriot, Kevin Clark wrote about this or the ringer he's can be joining us at the top of the next hour to discuss this a little bit more.
I had no idea about this. The lockout for baseball because of it. It caused arbitration hearings that normally are held in February between clubs and players to be held throughout the season. Arbitration is ancient material folks it's it's wild baseball is the only sport where the player hasn't yet to reach free agency. Yet and they they they are eligible to have their salary increased the team and the player doesn't get together and can't figure out what a salary as they go in front of an arbiter and agent Dave give a faded team gives a figure of player gives a figure and then the arbiter decides which one which one wins and the problem with this process. Is it it's not conducive for relationship building because the teams number is less than the players number and the team in order to make sure they win and give less money to the player essentially denigrate the player. Players like I deserve this much, you don't. You deserve less than because you didn't do this you can do this.
You do this, it doesn't it's not apposite it's a positive process player goes through arbitration hates it for team is a lot either. But I don't want to help. Baseball still does this, but they do and for some reason because the lockout during the season. There's one last arbitration case on the docket unit was it is tomorrow. It slated for tomorrow judge according to John Heyman, the New York Post, there still scheduled for an arbitration hearing tomorrow. No sign of talks yet. The Yankees want to give them 17 million judge wants 21 million Yankees are you out of your minds for million bucks house got that in the ashtray are you kidding me. The Yankees don't have $4 million to just hand over the judge is a thank you for the first start of this season is an MVP player through team supporting them and doing them going tomorrow and say that you can't use these stats judge can't use these stats in the arbitration hearing this year. In the same way that the team wouldn't be able to use it, to the detriment of the player. If judge did what most New York athletes. Under this situation who turned down $30 million a year over seven years prior to the season because it's not enough.
They normally get eaten alive in put out an MVP season, a clear MVP season for team that wins their first 67. Sorry, judge is doing all this with arbitration hanging over his head to just given the 4 million your minds to grind our judge in the middle of the season for $4 million. I think they need to really think about owning this stretch this out now and again.
The member maybe Megan gave one of the playoff series you finally finally get your 4 million bucks back from Aaron judge you want to pay him paid that man.
He's my damn straight you do and he can look so good in the Angels next year wants the point to is probably figuring like will will will given the generationally enriching contract that is looking for next year will forget all this stuff, but in the meantime this season ago when every still good judge looks amazing grind of an arbitration in the middle of the season I read what you got to me how some more of those nasty nester T-shirts and give the money to judge those you bobble head dolls out by one to judge you doing again stretch this out a little bit. I couldn't come to a settlement right in the middle of the season judge in your is known talks of settling yet when you try to save the split in the middle and save the 2 million judges so far in front of the MVP setting right now -125 trout Otani or +500 Yankees have their own television network at the stadium and the revenue the team generates business with Jerry Jones selling stadium signage deals for other teams and other leagues in other countries to the PSL-it is not like the NFL or the NBA or this redlining is a luxury tax. i know what the rules are. this would this go over the ledge of the wind is a luxury tax as the warriors owners if they care about the salaries. that's why the warriors are going to that date been dominant in their gonna be the because just like cabazon sit there no one else can we really re-sign him or he really going to give them asked andrew wiggins at some point because were going to go over the tax and you know what, 30, 50, there were 50 million on this. you don't care don't know if there is any team he could do it since george steinbrenner the third would tell eric judge gives your 4 million bucks and if i give you the 4 million bucks, you better when the world series and i would put the pressure on the player a little bit more but it appears our judge would say okay i got to give them a check in the calzone arguing between hades given the offended 17 million bucks, but in order for them to give him the 17 million they got a ton arbiter. he's not worth the 21 million. that's what makes arbitration stink on ice team's gotta tell a player with eight. i'm assuming a door in the fan base left good you think you that good. well, we think you're not here. the statistics that show that you're not and you have to hear that and like it and continue to be the mvp player in the middle of an incredible season will start of george, for the real story behind some of wrestling's biggest moments. it's something to wrestle with bruce prichard and conrad thompson to all time have an opponent sponsor ms. natalie in a conversation where is andre free of all was that andre was number one because not even going back before you know holcombe was a baby face holt and andres were able to go in headlines in new orleans superdome at shea stadium in japan wherever they went. that was an attraction something to wrestle with bruce prichard listen wherever you get your podcasts
