Is that rich eyes and show you when wanting your minimalism show live from the ranch shelf studio in Los Angeles absolutely don't want to shout out sports I see right here in Regina on a so much to get into in the van on Tuesday sent down here chat with the Athletics Joe person course covers the Panthers document the possibility of Mayfield joining the Panthers with real abounds in Lala later maybe we're the ones that put it over the edge. I'm kidding Baker Mayfield pending a physical is going to be a member of the Carolina Panthers somebody or Martinez on the other side of the glass. We have a loaded show for you to day.

Let's get right going with the big trade now be honest with you I like this Joe for the Carolina Panthers much they don't have to pay Baker Mayfield much. In fact, you see that the Cleveland Browns were just desperate to get rid of them, and to use an example of not getting value for what you have affected the Carolina Panthers have seen Donald on the roster right the New York Jets cut ties with Sam Donald after three years, and for him. They got themselves a second-round pick. I believe 1/4 round pick in the second round pick ended up being a high second-round pick because Carolina stunk last year, I believe, was the 38th pick in the draft the Jets.

Of course then freighted up two spots to briefs all running back from Iowa State so you can say the Jets fleeced the Carolina Panthers to get Sam Donald out of New York because he stunk and you saw last year. He was terrible thereto. He's just not a good quarterback can't read a defense makes poor decisions. Nice guy, but just isn't inadequate.

NFL starting quarterback and you're seeing that intense the Carolina Panthers realizing they needed an upgrade now the Cleveland Browns desperately had to get rid of field they want to pay in 18 $19 million, which is what he was on the books to make what happened not when you have Sean Watson on a five-year, $230 million, fully guaranteed contract. Although we may not play this year and probably shouldn't play this year and by the way, wasn't scheduled to make a lot of money this year it's a backloaded contract because I think Cleveland and Sean Watson realized that the likelihood of him actually suiting up this year were slim to none out what I can get into. Obviously his legal troubles. Let's let that play out before we decide what to do about that.

The claimant was desperate right, many cancer starting shortly. You can have Baker Mayfield who is a fiery type of personality. I guy that can really ruin a locker room if he's not in a good mood.

You can have that guy showing up, knowing full well he's not to be a part of the team either this season or next season, whatever it may have been, so the calendar. Thursday waited out the Cleveland Browns and finally Cleveland at the blank and accepted a fifth-round pick that can turn into 1/4 round pick in 2024 by the way, not even next year 2024, depending on playing time and Cleveland spending up 10 1/2 million dollars of Baker Mayfield salary of $18.8 million next season. The Panthers are only paying 4.85 million and the rest of the money which is somewhere in the 3 million and change range has now been converted into incentives. Okay, you can make that money back, which she was so desperate to get out of Cleveland. He decided to give that money become a get back based on team performance with incentives for Baker you want to get out of there. You're still going to make yourself $15.35 million. I think you can feed the family on that. In fact, if you want to live in your pretty good lifestyle you can actually retire on that money never work again. Just don't go by expensive pet houses and cars did well here.

I think the Cleveland Browns did poorly here you draft a guy number one overall right you want to thousand 18 you draft a guy number one overall, four years later you ship them off for a fifth-round pick that at best is 1/4 round pick Rick and Dan not is that you ship them off your paying half his salary. Two thirds of the salary.

Two thirds of his salary to play against you. I always have a problem with no teams paying half their salary. Two thirds of the sound, and then he comes back and plays against them. Desperation my friend Cleveland was desperate and Baker Mayfield was desperate to get out of Cleveland.

Cleveland is the black hole. The graveyard of quarterbacks. I saw a a statistic that was utterly insane.

It's only Cleveland is gone.

332 starting quarterbacks in the last 20 something years.

Okay I mean it's insanity and Baker Mayfield for your run as a starting quarterback in Cleveland is like the longest run they've had since they got back from expansion.

One was that 1997, eight, eight or 900 1999 I think he was drafting Tim couch number one.

Anyway, I stayed he would stay if you wouldn't have brought into Sean Watson while I look Sean Watson got a lot of problems and frankly maybe should never play in the NFL again will see 26 allegations of 26 allegations now II don't know if you can blow them all off saying they're all lying. I highly doubt you can do that when it's 26, one or two maybe 26. Hard to do okay lot a red flag to the Sean Watson now if the Sean Watson was squeaky clean.

This is a no-brainer. Sean Watson is a better player than Baker Mayfield. No question about he's a better player.

But when you're sitting there biting your fingernails to knobs if you're Cleveland, hoping that the Sean Watson isn't suspended for life from the NFL. That's not a good position to be okay because you can't take the trade back. Maybe you can avoid his contract. We can ask the Houston Texans for three first-round picks in return right. Hey guys, the show is going to be a long time. We void that trade can we get those pics back.

I know you use one of them, but the do you mind if we swap market happened again it shows you why there terrible franchise right you shows you why that the Cleveland Browns have really won nothing unbelievable how many playoff appearances have they had since they came back into this league in 1999 to I think that's the number two maybe three.

I doubt it's three. I think it's too maybe it's one prophetic utterly pathetic, but that's what happens when you look at an organization that can get on its own way and this is another example of that giving away Baker Mayfield at 27 years old who just a year ago look like he could've been something special 26 touchdowns eight interceptions. Not a bad season right cut down on those pics from 14 in his first year to 21. His second year down to eight. Not that I think Baker Mayfield is going to be an upper echelon great quarterback but can Baker Mayfield when you some games. I think you can more than send Arnold that brings up the second part of this argument okay.

I've heard people talking about this like it's amazing like a it's really amazing that people really think that Sam Donald should start over Baker Mayfield in no universe and no mention should Sam Donald start over Baker Mayfield, and here's why Baker's better simple enough right.

Baker's a better quarterback and Sam Donald. That's as easy as it gets. Sam Donald is not a good quarterback. I was a Sam Donald fan I believed in him look on the New York jet fans.

Obviously, I guy I hope and pray right. I hope and pray that where the trap turns out to be a start. When they got Sam going around that whole thing leading up to it was stuck for Sam member that you lose no real pick right.

It is all suck for Sam and then I remembered when the Jets pulled off that deal with the Indianapolis Colts I think was on Valentine's Day and shipped off like three seconds into first to move up from 6 to 3rd in the draft to put themselves in position to draft a quarterback next to you know Baker goes first. Overall the Giants on the clock and they do the unthinkable may take a running back. Second overall in Sequim Berkeley because you never take a running back. Second overall. Thank you David Gettleman and there is Sam Donald sitting on the board and I'm thinking to myself. Holy moly. I'm a check for the were about to get the franchise quarterback. We sucked not good enough to suck for Sam, but apparently it worked well guess what that honeymoon in a quick and send Arnold after really three mediocre seasons in New York where a lot of the blame was the supporting cast.

Yeah by the way the jet supporting cast was terrible and might be tagging general manager really gave him nothing to work with. III cannot fault Sam Donald completely, but there is fault there. Okay.

Just because your receiver is not open doesn't mean you have to throw the football there okay please not open.

Don't throw the football. There throw it out of bounds. Donald never understood that. So he goes to Carolina the Jets and Joe Douglas. The new GM fleeces. The Panthers get the second and the fourth for Sam Donald.

He starts the season off pretty well last year. By the way, right W 300 yard games couple of touchdowns in a plate clean football I beat the Jets.

Everybody thought oh my goodness, the worst nightmare sit them, but the nightmare scenario for a jet fans send Donald's gonna be awesome here in your four and we sit here again looking for a franchise quarterback, hoping Zach Wilson's the guy well, Sam, Donald, and woke up one day and said, my goodness, I'm playing too well. When you look in the mirror all that's right, I'm a turnover machine. My name is Sam Donald I was a turnover machine at USC and I was a term turnover machine in New York for three years. Let's get back to that of reverting back to that and sure enough, Sam, Donald, with 13 interceptions and four fumbles in 12 games. That's the lovable Sam Donald right he's not good. No more excuses. He's a backup quarterback in the NFL. By the way, he will be a handsomely paid backup quarterback. The rest of his life is 25 years old four years under his belt, Sam Donald can be a backup quarterback in the NFL for another 15 years.

I make 150 million more dollars.

Can I have that good exactly clipboard and handle today for those Microsoft tablets tablet right backwards. Megan 10 Miller season the stand on the sideline and a clean jersey, hoping the starter does get hurt if you don't want to go in and send in signals play that's the life Charlie Whitehurst did then San Diego all those years I thought what a great tent. I never place makes good money and gets to surf every day and talking lovely young ladies on the beach. It's all the girls you have a great life backup quarterback and was a great life, unless you have to play. So Donald got a bright future ahead of them, of doing nothing okay so not to sit here and cry for Sam Donald. By the way is right here in my $30 million.

Okay you will earn close to $200 million in his career for being a mediocre quarterback good friend not to disparage and Baker Mayfield is a better player than Sam Donald. What else does Donald have to show you that he hasn't shown in the first four years and 50 games that tells you not that's not really Sam Donald Sam Donald I know is going to be a star quarterback. The sleek, whose thinking that and I think a lot of these cortical analysts and experts who are saying no bottle to start over Baker McNutt, I think just doing that for Charlotte to play devils advocate okay. The raters took a chance on this one guy called Rich Gannon. I remember okay and he he had fizzled out like a cut yeah and he led them to the Super Bowl yeah was Al Gore doing BP yes you did absolutely yeah he was right. So I know what you think.

No, for Baker & Arnold, Sam, Donald, not none. Maybe because of the raters trust no one you know would scanning take my advice, I suffered three years of send Arnold you a lot of Carolina suffered a year Sam Donald battle on the only reason why Sam Donald is knocking to be traded or released is because they think that that fit your option on Sam Donald and the fortune Carolina's database and/or like 18 million bucks this year because they picked up that option what you kinda have to be doing trade a second and 1/4 trumpet for a guy got your option right is what he telling the fan base.

We sent the premium traffic and a decent wrapping for a guy that we don't believe in to pick up his fifth year option don't work that doesn't work that way there stuck with them. Donald for years played that game where he's in the running to be a starting quarterback draft and that corral from Ole Miss in the third round. I like by the way, but Baker Mayfield's gotta be the guy right first love your Baker Mayfield and you show up there and you're not the starter mean, maybe you you know his stars fallen that much which I doubt I'm to say right now what Martin is Mark my words okay Baker Mayfield starting quarterback week one of Carolina vent has to be asked because a plane to Cleveland. I really is in it that's hilarious but I just think is you go the better player. You go the guides you purée September 11 Cleveland banquets at Carolina okay that's a good day so that it's at Carolina.

Imagine if it was in Cleveland's belt on the field by loose quarterbacking the Cleveland Browns week 11 that's that's another good question. I think at the brisket, brisket, whatever his name is Jefferson percent percent improvement. I'm hungry now met with incidentally got just Jacoby percent would be quarterback one or knowing Hector Sean Watts explained we want not want to go off to go after grappling. He's still available. Yeah you know what I have to be honest, what is this mean for crop. That's a whole other topic. What happens grappling like he's got you next. Gonna move right but who wants and likes. Yeah, you do not completely know San Fran is not shipping grappling within the vision to Seattle. I can't know know and they need a quarterback but if you're Cleveland you trade for Gingras float knowing that he's only a one year rental well after they find out about the Sean Watson amino. One is that real incomes must come down yeah but I mean no one expected to be more than a year right leg and with the spirit, a lifetime ban or something. So it's a year okay you have Jimmy G there for one year then walked how no man interesting scenario. What's next now one quarterback on the move to Carolina being Baker Mayfield Jimmy Gropper was at next shoe. When does that fall and where does he go look at that a bit later on the Yankees winning yet again nearing 60 wins on the season. I really just caught his ear shoe that has to drop their what other concerns and how much money is Aaron Judge making himself. He hit his 30th homerun yesterday as a Yankees ruled in Pittsburgh. Find out which chrome soft is right for you. A Callaway golf.com/chrome stuff when I head to New York never thought of it slouched actually in Boston is a four-game series. Yes, there were clubhouse reporters. You will join us next dance Wurtsmith again apologizing on a Thursday right here on the ridge.

I show in franchise in the ridge I show on Thursday to get into major league baseball season rolling along were 80+ games and for every team, New York Yankees 59 waves of the most in baseball by a whopping games. By the way, the Astros and asked just to other teams have plus wins the Dodgers with 50 the Mets with 51 Yankees. In fact, a 14 game lead over the Tampa Bay rays in the Boston Red Sox. The open a four-game set in Boston, kicking off 10 nights. We head to Boston yes network Yankees club as 1/4 math Brockovich joining us in Meriden for 59 wins 23 losses.

They are absolutely rolling in as good as that roster really is.

And it wasn't good enough last year to go deep in the postseason.

Are you surprised that they are this good right now six games better than anybody else in baseball, I mean that pretty good) absolutely rolling there obviously up to a great start. I think one thing that they didn't barely and Group of Eight coming ended faith in way strength that their rotation and I think they were hopeful. I think they thought guides lucrative but the way they have produced a level at which they have pretty consistently. I hadn't something that is in pretty fun to watch. To be honest with you, and you look at the back not line up one through nine. You think the ultimately going to be there. But one thing that we call last year that they really struggled with working with runners in scoring position situation all heading and they rely extremely heavily on the long ball. Now when you look at the number think you got it kind of home runs and Aaron Judge had 39 at the All-Star break yes but also found ways to score and manufacture drugs and that's something they didn't do last season or even to see them before last night. In particular, we thought hit-and-run.double there ready to bake better doing the little things in the margin better than they did it go and I believe that is the different you know Meredith so you mentioned the rotation and as good as it's been, you know, Jamison Tyrone the last few starches kinda come back down to earth. These these ERA is risen by that a run and 1/2 in the last five or six starts. Nestor Cortez righted the ship, but he had about three starts in a row where he was I would say average any concern in terms of that. I mean, they haven't been injured really write the rotations been very healthy. Severino's come back very well from his injury. Caracole had a rough start, but he seems to have righted the ship Jordan Montgomery's consistently you know pretty good picture, but you know with Tyrone and with Cortez kind of an unknown writer you little nervous with those two going forward air and flowed throughout the course that the van and pictures are not always going to have their pet talking.

David Cohen wanted by now. You obviously did better than anyone else that content that you go out there and probably happier dark. You don't have anything in it, don't start trying to figure it out. Give your team can't win, but your team at a position to win. Those are the ones we really find out where your mate. What you're made and you know you meant hereinafter Cortez the last three private lap start. You know what little bit of a struggle and he even admitted that he was wondering hey what's going on here you know what what has the league figured something out in my am I not be able to gain the extent that extent the early part of the thieves that I'm even thinking ERA well under two EE didn't know that he can be able to keep that up that you did believe you can find a way to keep the egg you can game in which that offense, they don't need a lot need to keep it close and you get the feeling that the offense will find a way to poke through at the end of the game, but I Cortez said with everything that was going on. The attention he was getting ready idea of the All-Star game. Maybe you would going out there trying to be a little bit you find a little bit too perfect intended to going out there and hacking and that's what he did his black timeout. He righted the ship as you mentioned and found that Jamison Tyrone is concerned that he had mentioned to me after the game in the clubhouse to get what you nights ago. Look, I've got to go back to the drawing board and figure some stuff that getting hurt. It seems like with runners on one pitch. You know give up a two run home run began before that he gave up a pair of three run home run getting hurt with runners on the basement and he admitted yet. I'll say a fellow home run is not gonna hurt you with limiting the damage when there runners on base, not something that he had not done a good job lately. He went on to say, doesn't feel as though there's any major mechanical issues that are going on right now he just needs to find a little bit of a better way to execute no situation helping the Yankees are overly concerned with God by any stretch of the imagination.

At the same time, what they like to get back on track.

You better believe it is that's rights here today and tomorrow will technical issues sorted out later everybody so enamored by what the Yankees are doing 59 wins on pace for like record hundred 18 or so wins on the season. They continue to roll back off hires yesterday 16 to nothing over there opening up of set at Fenway Park against the Red Sox team that is 14 games behind them. Let's get back with her but yes network Yankees club S report of birth Brockovich and Meredith being the shock of how good this team is obviously kicked us all off the year. But that said, Meredith Aaron Judge continues to roll 30 homeruns now for him 64 RBIs and here's a bet on himself got offered over $200 million, about $30 million a season last this past off-season he turned it down. Going to be a free agent next year.

What's the chatter are people start to get a little nervous about the fact that maybe he's going to be so highly price based on what he's doing that even the Yankees with all their money may not be able to compete with some of the dollars out there. For instance, Steve Cohen or the Santa Sue Giants you have room in their payroll to add a guy like Aaron Judge Bernard Pham Kuan Aaron Judge here for a very long time. And why wouldn't you mention the production then when this is helping.

He is one of the best layers in the league hard that back this year in particular are yet to see the home run 30 before the break theater production overall offense of late and all that would stand out to me the way you played center field at 67 guy playing centerfield at a very high level, day in and day out. The defense had been there as well. So in a very complete player and even account for what you bring to that Yankee team in the clubhouse from a leadership perspective, and I think there is always concern when a player reaches free agent they love me. So what happened with Freddie Freeman this year. Freddie Freeman wanted to remain a great, great said that they wanted Freddie Freeman back at the end of the day they were not able to get a deal done anything Los Angeles right now so I don't think it would be outside the realm of possibilities for Aaron Judge to wind up somewhere else.

I think he's more valuable in a Yankees uniform and I think he wants to be in New York for a very long time, but the two sides need to find a way to meet in the middle and what that number is can it be well that remain to be seen, and he continued to play like that you can keep on rising and rising and rising, and rightfully so, when you turn himself the right to go out there and explore the free-agent market and get as much money as possible and you cannot you cannot really hold it against the player for wanting to do that and they tried to come to a deal beginning at spring training. Aaron thought it was worth more and he bet on himself, as you mentioned that far been a pretty darn good bet. And then I can't tell you how that inventor spoke the other day and said you know if there are discussions during the thieves then none of them will be made public, but the Yankee point of view. They very much would like Aaron Judge to be here for a very long time as well, but they're not supposed to be discussions right because I thought that after the season began, Judge goal thing was they would call awful negotiations we can concentrate on baseball do we believe that maybe some talks going on and that's maybe why Holly saying look whatever's happening were not to go public with it because the factories were supposed in the impression that there are no talks going on right because Judge had shut them off after he rejected that 213, 15 or so million dollar proposal.

You never know what's going on behind if there is chatter.

If the agent continued to talk to the Yankees. I would imagine there's probably some type of checking in here and there between the two side but I think the point about Aaron and how Diane Brenner wanted to make it. This is not going to be a distraction. These minutes specially with the team that they have right now this very special team to start things that they do not want that headline they did not want to be answering questions about that continued plates out at you know you never know what could happen throughout the course of the thieves then, but one thing I do know it sound like working here about anything until the end of the year if at all Yankees. Sometimes a little different than being a member of another team like the Minnesota Twins, the Cleveland guardians. Whatever it might be what I mean by that is this a legacy right you look at the Yankees Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig played his entire career as a Yankee. Joe to modulate his entire career, Mickey Mantle, and then you have the lineage of guys right that goes to Derek Jeter and Aaron Judge is kind of that next guy. Does he understand his place in terms of the historical value being the Yankees Monument Park. He continues to play the way he does for his career he's going to have his number retired and then 99's good to be on the wall. He could potentially have himself. The granite monuments and monument Park, which always means a bit more and again playing for another organization. Has he ever talked about that are indicated that that's something important to him.

I think he only understand what it would mean to be a Yankee for life and I think that part of the reason why he said he wants to stay and he wants to play in the largest market in the country and on top of that you look at the Yankees there positioning themselves on an annual basis to try to win a world.

You can't say that about every organization, whether they do or not we haven't been at 2009.

They still try to make the next ferry moved to put themselves in a position to compete and there a lot here in particular that is downright not competitive in the league right now so I think he recognized that Dan I don't think you recognize that you defend that hey, I'm going to take a very very big hometown discount. I think Aaron Judge going to get them back value he can get free agency.

Because let's be honest at his age. This could be the final contract for you know very well. You probably will be. So you need to maximize maximize what he get in that contract so I think you recognize whether or not that'll be enough based on the number kinda remains to be seen.

Yes, there were Yankees club that supported both Brockovich legacy of the rich eyes and show Dan Schwartzman in for Rich on this Thursday. Your baseball fan.

Obviously, someone to throw this question out at you look, Aaron, Judge is going to get paid by somebody in the realm of probably $35-$40 million a year.

Okay say that's locked up this coming off-season show a Otani becomes a free agent a year from that. Okay, he's younger. He'll be 28 years old when he actually gets free agency is also guy that has not allowed an earned run in his last four starts.

He is in the conversation, not just for MVP but also Cy Young based on what he's done in the season with 35 home runs and 20 strikeouts and 15 winds which maybe is going up to be an error in judgment. MVP maybe not.

If judge is a $35-$40 million guy and he just plays centerfield and does it well and obviously is an incredible threat with the bat. Meredith is a baseball fan.

First of all what you think showing Otani's value is because no one seems to have an answer for that.

If you were a betting person what you think the number is wow. All I know. Again, whatever that number winds up being so hey is going to be very comfortable his life. Now you are the biggest question with having to come up if you keep waiting for the other shoe to drop.

How long can it continue. Kenny continue being that you a player for a long period of time, then you just look at it like there's no wake up at half the ball and there's no way he can continue to produce at this high level doing both, but so far he had done it.

I think that the biggest issue. How do you put a number on that. Not knowing if in two years quickly going to have to be one or the other and then when that happened bit it will eventually happen, you would think. I then what is that mean you're overpaying potentially or are you not because the playing a very elite level: what you decide. Do you know whether you the picture so I I not know what that number as I do know that number is going to be very, very large.

If you remain felt this no matter if he has to get Tommy John surgery but he could of course still DH right and he had a bunch of home rights at some point if you can't throw 150 innings a year.

The guy comes in and throws 101 miles an hour, maybe he's a closer right right so you learn it is also a known value, build value and are still inquiry elevated value compared to typical player right yes I agree with you and daddy will probably going to based on the potential of what we've seen and what he could be good when you get a very high figure, but I do not know how to put value on that Steve Cohen thrown 45 million see it. I could see it really cut somebody, is not the Yankees to say anything to Aaron Judge about 36 million bucks a year. Starting last year. Unbelievable lot of money. Yes, there were Yankees club that support American rockets. Meredith enjoy the next four days in Boston will bill and hey, let me know and you do a 10 year 45 million a year deal to get the denials that that. Right always fun catch up American rockets of the yes network is a great job covering the Yankees as the clubhouse reporter outside that number is right, whatever show you tough, he's going to get well for himself and judge it is owner and hero quick. We taught Aaron Judge betting on himself right when he decided to turn down I think is 215 or so million dollars last off-season which would've set him and his family for life obviously for a long time.

Right.

So it looks like he's in a win, we can forget that show he Otani also bid on himself.

What I mean by that is this when showing Otani left Japan if he had waited. I believe another year or two. Otani would have then become a free agent which will lead to a bidding war meeting his salary in his first year major league baseball would've been much hi okay he could get himself 20, $30 million a year off the bat one Otani came to America in 2018. His first year salary was $545,000.

Okay second year, $650,000 last year because the 2020. Because is a shortened season he made a little under $260,000 in 2021 he won the MVP award, the Silver slugger award. He made 3 million bucks, showing Otani measures making 5 1/2 million dollars. So I'm saying is of Otani and just dominated Japan for another year or two and then came over here with more service time he got assigned himself a massive deal off the bat instead. He said no I'm ready for major league baseball fully understanding that he be making the league minimum. I don't I don't think you know I wouldn't I wouldn't I don't care who is and what league and told he doesn't in the MLB. I wouldn't pay. Now here's the thing that when you came here every team wanted a crack at it right member you dip toward concern because he has a potential potential, but that's what I'm saying is, he bet on himself right because if he had waited and come here. There was a team knows can give him 20 million bucks a year. Based on the potential right now, maybe turned out to be a bust, but somebody would've no hobbies that is 100 miles an hour NEG that's a baseball 450 460 feet there's enough potential at one of the jobs he doesn't baseball where $20 million a year works.

He came near any dinner and $1 million until his third year in the league. Think about that his career earnings right now in his fifth season a major league baseball is $12,270,000. That's insane.

Art fact is, if he had bombed Wichita BC has it but if you have bombs you would really make no money.

Major league baseball sure you go back to Japan to make some money but if you had waited and then came here becoming a fortune regardless of bombing or not because it's guaranteed money baseball so showing Otani bet on himself to and has lived up to it. Now way that Aaron Judge of course had a ready track record of success in major league baseball had hit 52 home runs his rookie year. But the fact is Aaron Judge bet on himself and it looks like he was a smart bet and same for showing Otani amino Otani to get himself a contract that is going to be utterly ridiculous to be 29 years old when he hits free agency just turned 28 he will be 29 years old when he hits free agency and whatever Aaron Judge Gatz will be used as the minimum I think for what surely Otani can ask for.

Why not if you're his agents. That's exactly it's EA sports is his agency to make a nice commission off of. Surely Otani's next contract.

Unbelievable. But that's fun to watch because that's got to be a unbelievable bidding war right that's going to be fun.

But here's the thing is you think there's nothing that can afford both judge and you signed me look, the Mets can just as owners with $14 billion right.

The Mets can afford it over there overpaying Francisco Lynn door and you are Yankees are going to have to what is a luxury tax will huge luxury tax or painters, or 40 someone million right Yankees because they don't want that kind of salary, but they could. I don't think the Dodgers with all the money they now have tied up on that payroll. Now it was not like Aarti Marino called but is not going to write but Aarti Marino could the Giants could take one guy go make a run to judge Jesus you know from your Sacramento so they may try to sell mom coming home. But I'll tell you it's hard to set me look if the Mets go out there and pay Aaron Judge. But what of money to prime from the Bronx. A because a heck of a player but to do.

You know, keep the Yankees in the groin mean. Technically they could afford it. As crazy as that sounds, when they have to re-sign Jacob Gibran, probably to he can opt out in the pipe to re-sign him and Pete Alonso obviously to make but what a money in a few years so I don't I don't look C called unfortunately no payroll I don't. He wants to do that though the luxury taxes you have to pay but man, here's the thing though if you're already Marino right you cannot lose show he Otani free agency like Angel fans would revolt my trout was one thing and able to keep him with a massive contract and I think I can regret that contract is with his body structure. What is he like a linebacker right I think that body structure. Nothing like my trout will start to get injured more and more. I really believe that in the end that's can be a bad contract. Now they had no choice. You have to give my trout the kind of money is the best player in baseball but in the end those last couple years. The last three or four years that deal may not work out well.

Freddie Marino, but are you're in LA I mean, what would the reaction be if Aarti Marino let surely Otani leave is 45 million at him and Otani says I want to win goes elsewhere. Nothing angels can do right. They are from a ton of money that would be a big letdown absolutely no, I mean really crazy what what the Angels have to do is in. We've said it already.

They need to get some pitching and spend money on pitching. I know crazy feeling I had Otani and that's it. So I understand like why exactly are they not spending money on pitching you know people thought. They spend money on pitching what last year they signed Anthony Rundle lasting he does his pitch. I understand it makes no sense how that team spends its money.

It makes absolutely no sense how that team spends money and I think if you are a fan of that team are sitting there going what's the rhyme or reason like you gotta bring in some pictures right we can hit the ball but does not.

The ball well now. I mean, I think through the first four or five games in the last 45 games are batting under 100 as a team, something crazy like that. It's actual insanity. How bad they've been and now they need a new manager.

I can have a manager they fired Joe Madden Phil Nevin is the interim manager, but he gets booted out of the game gets a massive suspension that Brawley had a couple weeks ago I not organization is an absolute messy of the two best players in baseball your team and you can't win the like and send the guard is five and seven with the 384 ERA what tell me they bought, you know that's a one year deal and I don't blame them for that deal. I don't think he's been that good. And obviously the records not very good but I think that made sense right signed a guy for a year you don't pay him crazy ton of money compared to what the market is today for a guy that has the potential he showed it in the past when healthy. So I think that's that's I ask you a lot of teams I think want to know us in the guard but it's like when they bring them on that Harveys the world.

Guys like that you know me, the criminal aspect Harvey. When his brother met Harvey they thought I this guy can turn things right. Never did.

Of course you always seem to be shopping in that bargain. I'll hoping to get that guy rather than bringing the guy spending a ton of money now to be fair, they did offer caracole lot of money and they did think that being in southern Cawood health, considering he's a southern Kid and they thought that they would be the land landing spot for him. The way that years ago never they made a run at CCC bath. You're right, another kid who's from California more in the northern part they thought that they could line up CCC bath yet and sell him on coming back to California. It didn't work out so they have made offers long term for big-name A's pictures and they just haven't had their money taken and I wonder if part of that is because they are the B team in Los Angeles right it's the Dodgers first and foremost regardless of if the Angels have success. The Dodgers will be the back page. It's like the Mets and Yankees and that's what you're showing Otani when you are the man. You're probably the best player in baseball. Do you want to go play for the B team in the city. The Mets want to throw ton of money at you, that's great.

You want to go play for the B team in New York. Maybe they still get plenty of publicity I saw you know the Mets are in her for that and have an owner that loves a team and spends money on the team so you know there's a commitment to win from the previous ownership group, which didn't because they had no money after the. The Bernie made off scandal three, wonder, but it's got to be interesting to see what happens with judge then of course like quarterbacks in football the next guy up to make more and I think in baseball Otani skill look at what Judge Megson that's can be that the you know the that the floor in terms of what kind of money you will him measuring the measuring stick right exactly whatever judge gets pop a couple more million per year on there and maybe you get showing Otani.

But as I said to bear of Moroccan bits of yes network little bit ago. At some point. If Otani is not to be the two-way sensation that he is right now and he's not getting give you 150 innings pitched as a unit every six manual six to rotation guy you can still use it as a closer. Think about that right me. Surely, Otani's got me playing some DH planks and outfield, whatever it may be a great athlete by lay, maybe just ignite first base after wife gets old and what you end up doing is you end up having to come in the ninth-inning from the outfield or the age spot and he's your close going on for miles an hour so you limit is innings for like 7060 whatever it is a closable phone a year and he still maintains the value that you can pay for the ridiculous and insane. If you think about possibilities that offers you're right Jimmy Garon hello next man off Baker Mayfield desecrated what we Jimmy G as a 49ers have to be looking to shop and what can they get and where could he possibly go dance what's meant for Mitch Isaac this Thursday right here on the rich.
