Former NFL team executive Joe Banner tells Rich why the Arizona Cardinals “humiliated” Kyler Murray by inserting a mandatory tape study clause in his new contract and why it serves no benefit to the team or to the QB, why Lamar Jackson should sign his Ravens extension sooner rather than later, what the 49ers and Jimmy Garoppolo’s options are given the limited need for QB’s around the league, why the Niners and Seahawks should get deals done quickly with disgruntled WR’s Deebo Samuel and D.K. Metcalf, and why we’re still waiting on a ruling on a likely Deshaun Watson suspension.

Rich and Brockman break down the 49ers QB situation and explain why the Niners can’t keep Jimmy Garoppolo on the roster after naming Trey Lance their starting QB.

Yankees fan Rich reacts to the Pinstripes landing OF Andrew Benintendi from the Royals and says why trading for Nationals slugger Juan Soto comes some risk for interested teams.

Rich lists his top 5 NFL players who missed nearly all of 2021 with significant injuries who can have huge impacts on their teams including the Jets’ Carl Lawson, the Jags’ Travis Etienne, the Lions’ Jeff Okudah, the Ravens’ JK Dobbins, and the Saints’ Michael Thomas.

Rich honks for the Los Angeles Rams and says the defending Super Bowl champions aren’t getting their due respect when it comes to repeating as champs.

Certainly, from a business point of view and also an evaluation point of view is one of the best to move up to of done it and former Philadelphia front office executive Cleveland front office executive and melting observer of the game. Joining us here on the Rich Eisen show Mercedes-Benz transform on one of our favorites is Joe Banner. How you been Joe, I'm doing great thank you sir.

It's really all it got literally and figuratively. This is not options. Thank you sir I appreciate that. Thank you, Jill. Let's jump right when you first saw the independent study clause in Kyler Murray's contract you thought of what I'm reading what happened in the middle of the year and a week with about 35 minute a day and I want to play like most quarterback but you don't look at it while it will be at all prepared so that it no chapter 1 coming out people are truly lots of people like me like you are reading every contract that comes everybody knew this was going to create your and must mean that they tried everything else they could possibly do, and none of that work minute for my phone off expense. None of this makes any sense what so ever and humiliated the player print unenforceable clause in the contract with everything before your valuation of display you see somebody that needs more studies on your sign and agree that we would've been able to look at preparing it all for four hours. I can even tell you how minimal that is a record four hours a day, especially the first Of the week of study leave the opponent so it was such a small have think the watching tape and a lot of guys just so ill prepared mentally that even a few hours a few minutes today to change the production now that I'm not telling you that he's a quick profit are in the league. Some of the lyrics print only thing a play for three years been some of it probably does require some additional work, but to me, just watch the tape and tell me of these templates which one looks the least prepared tape would not jump out at me. It will work until he can prove work harder, more experienced guy doesn't look like he's preparing it all now. I personally write what you think. They think that the insiders that I don't know. She could conclude, but if that's the case why you giving up 49 bucks, you can usually wait a year. Three years if you don't truck his work ethic. You really done anything other than shame him publicly because it is not enforceable and it was tracking this would make and by the way, if you take away the consequences of the guarantee goes away unless you're prepared to cut them. That doesn't mean anything's listed on the sheet. If you do on the pay worry about a little bit more settlement.

The guarantee found irrelevant, but losing the guarantee does not mean he cut it just means that he risks getting cut so for me I just I don't see the benefit of the unenforceable. It's going to publicly shame the quarterback in a way that is productive and I don't know that four hours a week and really fix the problem with this is severe as needed to put that closet and make it look rich as you think of the rest of the contract in the independent study clause masks what I thought 1000% be the only thing we were talking about the calamari contract once it came in his was, every dollar guarantees the same way that the hassle and family did for DeShawn Watson in the answer wound up being no so what's your take on the rest of the contract and the way it was formed in the current climate of Sean Watson having every dollar guaranteed in his contract focused on that and finally really look at read the contract break down all the details of it actually working for the team is looking at probably. I actually think this is a good contract player. The cash flow.

The contract if you look at New Year's I think will multiply legitimate better than what Aaron Rodgers got three new years of the contract calamari $1149.2 million in Rogers contract averages 48.2 Sean Watson average is 46 over the first three New Year's calamari averages over $3 million more per year than DeShawn Watson. So I did that the most important evaluation.

Most people would agree is the value of those first three years and now parking for three New Year's contract can be made to look bad if you wanted to let factoring the two years that they still owned the Cardinal still owned looking at New Year's and I think that the spectacular three year average is even close to the player that an Rogers or DeShawn Watkins or Josh Allen Josh Allen probably down at $35 million average $25 million average per year for the three years he or million dollars ahead of Josh Allen of quick comparing the first three New Year's guarantees that are written so that they kick in.

A year earlier than the season they apply to probably getting too technical for the listener.

But at the very favorable things not as favorable as Watson got, which is fully guaranteed, with no? You forcing the team to make it a year early and still have the quarterback on the roster that they basically said after this she went on with you. So the really untenable situation for the team.

So I use the term sometimes effective guarantee versus literal guarantee quite a bit of effectively guaranteed money contract effect.

I get with the agent.

Looking at it, arguing that all contract is effective guarantee. I wouldn't agree with that but I do think it's effectively more guarantee than the hundred 60 and hundred and five numbers were hearing out there, which I wasn't sure what you think is going on with the margins these next interesting about Lamar.

I'm not a big fan of players representing themselves, especially now that a lot of the agents will charge a little bit left after union kind of intervened in this a few years back but whether it is been really smart or a just stumbled into it. He was really wise to wait till he completed at least four years to do the deal and in the market for him a year ago, assuming you can be back couple highest-paid quarterback was meaningfully left than it is right now.

Minera Lodge wasn't on the Mario wasn't on the watch and it wasn't done for the three topic quarterbacks field have happened last year.

Lamar should get even a better deal than it would've a year ago and the only thing here is, is he interested in a car cut path really kind of played out marketing young star quarterback totally free. If not, I would say I think is that the point where you kind of maximize the value of waiting and the risk of taking more time is getting larger than the benefit and he should probably try to complete a deal this fall.

I'm in the summer and I think the ravens badly want to keep in prayer to make him high paid but I think he's chosen actually to come. Slow play this for now it might in the hindsight that was very, very smart, but the time is now time to get a deal done here in the rituals and show what your read of what's happening with Jimmy drop below 1 ounce can play out from here. You know the 49ers that he got injured in that kind of depresses ability to be in the market and receive any real compensation at the time that the other quarterbacks to move this year were available for me. I probably think higher droplet than most. Although the fact that he struggled to help. It would scare me a lot.

I'm not sure who the suitor is on the I would pay should be Seattle or Houston or one of those payments, but there acting like they are satisfied. Contract have to renegotiate it, and I would rule out the possibility for us to take a cut go to a team that he may not be the starter at these days there I don't think that most likely but I think people are cutting it off is a possibility but my my need in the most that he gets a chance to play quickly and correctly have an impact Seattle and Houston, but they think the thing hire their quarterbacks within the miserly doing many others do. At least if we trust that actions speak more as I do like the smells and you know a lot of evaluators believe that if Mills had stayed another year at Stanford, he would've been the top 10. The first quarterback off the board before picked up by a wide margin, and so I kinda believe that Houston wants to stick with him. Mary Seattle is another story and obviously Seattle and San Francisco are in the same division. So do you think San Francisco might be hanging on to see if somebody gets hurt. Over the next couple weeks and thoughts they will have no choice but to go grab drop below all Sam Bradford from back in the day and then if not then they'll just have to release them right. Everyone is releasing an injury and pain likely to be a contender get a break.

They offer and he still you have to look at the contract now. Maybe it just converts things that those verses in base salary, but really that's a real longshot strategy, but they have nothing to lose by waiting a few weeks here and think it plays out the fact that they appear to have had a cordial meeting with them in the last couple of days makes me think that they came to some understanding of old-time think it could get some value will collaborate with you on where it doesn't happen, the elderly, the pay cut to stay here all will live a relationship because there's nothing else I can no guaranteed money in the deal you want to have $25 million which would be a terrible long-term move.

They have Challenges as we look forward, I would not think it wise to wait that much money a quarterback that they benefited their starter so I may release the second most likely case I think you're right about you. By the way, I think the reason he felt Mills polygraph was more about injury fear that it was about talent and I don't think that's a race just because we stay healthy for one year.

So I still view them as a team that I should be protecting the long-term is a quarterback even though I agree with you Mills played well has talent he would've that higher draft of the physical limitations smarter year on the rituals and shows. She was also home to two very talented holdings in receivers.

The Holden seems to be a newfangled thing now Joe hot is hot as a team handle that. How do you think the Niners and the Seahawks are going to deal with Devo and DK, respectively. Part of the representing the league of the 2011 nations when the amount of fine consequences of holding out when you are allowed to do a second contract all changed in the way with very favorable for the team so that it was 20 on the areas in which the union could've done a better job and we paid an elite guy that that would eventually lead to players reporting to camp but not really effectively reporting to camp and put it in the way they should, but we could not think of any strategy liner policy rules prevent that and how do you tell the difference between the players that legitimately hurt you. Be very vicious. You can't really prove this so you really have something that's pretty unenforceable and places them on up.

I can report.

We see this now. Jaelyn Ramsey was the first one that did it so openly, in which it seems really obvious that it was really attempt to use as leverage in his power to get the result that is hoping for but I think that is the same or more of the some of the players, and in all sports are feeling more emboldened and recognizing the leverage they have and I don't know.

There's no way to 49 is automatically better team with Devo and work with Kyle Shanahan for short time.

I guarantee you really value that appreciates that recognizes it so that if the look a little bit of the get a deal done and you know it can be worth dollars one or $2 million With about $359 worth it.I agree to learn about teaching using Seattle's plan is here. We talk about how they might jump on Jimmy G. Just a week before the season is that actually is possibility because we don't believe that locking gene is a long-term answering, Pete Carroll is is is still there.

He's not there to them to rebuild.

I mean, he what you think the plan as there were DK and and you think it's possibly train him or they they should sign Hammond and move forward, we think with three years earliest point to be real, legitimate objective contenders that make the playoffs, and even maybe have a chance to make a little run do you see having an integral part of that team to three years now, and let expectation to someone reasonably can accommodate my thing. Get the deal done on the top tier player positions that become more valued. I don't agree with that but that's what the league says get it done now. You know, I can see where they feel like it out with this year's have a reorientation of our roster. Our team our style of play changing. Some coaches even though we can change the head coach is probably not feel is is is like the 49ers that has a real chance to compete, immediate future, but now II don't know when the deer if you can't see yourself in two or three years really valuing him and thinking is a clear number one wide receiver in integral part of all we rebuilt then now is the moment you go to get the deal done. Now there's no point going through the aggravation, the stress and testing is resolved. By the way won't last that long because the consequences of holding out. I have been increased dramatically with the need to get a disgruntled player and one presumably no one will find in a month or two year why does not get it done.

Avoid all the negativity last one for you Job why do you think we haven't gotten the ruling from Sue L.

Robinson, the independent judge that is trying to your out to Sean Watson's punishment if there is any what it is. If there is what you think is happening there to open the entry being really careful today important case and a very important message. It's going to get highly debated in the public and you know I do think that the league is trying to do a better job following a horrible record of dealing with issues around good and omitted treatment of women in general and sensitivity where we are. In today's world as we should be so I'm hoping to be really thorough that with a negative very lengthy, not just ruling, but explanation and truthfully not been fairly close to this. It's very hard for me to say what I think the right answer is that I suspected as she looks at the different cases and president that it doesn't just scream.

Here's the answer screen, here's the range and then it becomes very hard to look at any precedent to clearly well six candidate games this season of that that's very great at me like I suspect she saying to that which was more precedent, the guidance ruling and since it is going to be important and precedent-setting.

I needed to be thoughtful and I have to write something that is very in-depth and very clear on why I wrote what I did.

So I'm hoping that's what's going on she's reputation of being a very sharp detail thorough person so I'm hoping that that's was going on and will actually get to know pretty soon the union's approach that many owners want to sell and nothing was really done about that and so wise to Sean Lawson going to get hit here would you think of that general, and otherwise I don't know how much it really impacts to Sean it is somewhat different than all the other cases which is why I don't think there's any easy precedent look at is how these three guys were created on these trailers would create internal think it's so easy to just say these are the same things and therefore translate so I don't know if that matters is what the case, but it's certainly a valid point, especially since the link shows that actually claim that the owners and executives be treated even more harshly played for the fact that haply is not happened. So I'm glad they're calling attention to it and I think it's something that should be dealt with differently going forward. I don't how relevant it is to be how many weeks to Sean and submit sites best man.

Thanks for taking my call and want to come on here just like us smarter and more knowledgeable you be well served more my phone. I will appreciate it. Always a pleasure be well yourself and try catching that's Joe Banner. I follow him on Twitter at Joe Banner. 13 you should as the man has so many insightful things to offer what leaps out at you there Christopher what you just heard from him what leaps out at you.

I the thing that leaps out at me is him saying that maybe the Niners hold on a garrotte below. How can you say it's trays team. We are moved on right and then see now I was always have him there. I that can prolong time right gag just as insurance and I think it's gone to the point now where you can't really keep him around. It's kind of like how it was New England.

You can't be paying your backup more than you pay your starter.

That's just it is, Ludacris, and it's just kind of bad walk right so you can you find a trade partner. At this point forms a carrier force is just going to eat it and cut them but to keep them to keep them around after all of this after you've already handed the keys to Trey Lanson said this is his team publicly now, as we've assumed it's been said privately for months and months now but to say publicly like they did this week. I think you got caught bait yeah in the same way that Bella check sent cam Newton packing rights away last year. If you're going to go with Mac.

There's no reason to have the veteran bear around if he's been your starter, and he expects to be a starter and has the pridefulness of a starter. There's no real reason to have that person around.

If you feel the training wheels are off your young quarterback enough that that is a standalone opportunity for you without that veteran that I think Belichick clearly made proven to Saint Anne. Thanks for everything we know we re-sign Jack, but that's it. We got back here and were to go with him in word and it's going to go with him. We can have them looking over his shoulder, wondering why he makes a bad playwright had thrown around my getting pulled now from right Newton can have it right and you can have that with the 49ers right now they they can't do it they've made this decision. I mean, I think I so Lewis Riddick say that he's taken Trey Lanson when MDP this year so if that's a situation you can have Jimmy garrotte below on the roster where if we trays can have bad games and you can't be wondering. Am I getting a bench now because Jimmy still here. And even if Lance gets hurt.

The guy who gets in their needs to just understand your and understudy were not in a temporary position right. No matter how well you play, it's not your gig.

Unless TJ Jefferson wants to rag on me for my flight.

Then he then then then then it's a different story. He let you to your first. He also said Joe Banner.

Something about carbonara contract that leaps out at me.

I want to hit that. Also I got a top five list of the top five most impactful players returning from injury in 2022. That we have as well. Don't move 844204, which is also the number to dial Kyler Murray is speaking as we speak right now and he is not happy, and we will turn around those soundbites as fast as we possibly can. Maybe will have it for the top of our number three if not beforehand, so stay tuned for all of that and that's when all I'll hit a little bit more on what Joe Banner was about to say it was saying about the Kyler Murray contract and he said something that really intrigued me will hit that altogether when we can get the soundbites that seen these quotes good for culinary and want to sign the contract with that clause because it guarantees you know hundred and $60 million, why sign it if you don't need it with you doing it anyway then what's the big deal if you thought this is the big deal the discussion. This is depicted so Devon made him look bad this week. You think so again will will hit that a little bit more when when when we when we can play for you what he's got to what he's got to say let's go to Al and Atlanta here on the retries and show it's about how are you I got a couple things undergrad in my ear about my Yankees not help my Yankees not helping out your brace so your time and one job one job team in baseball record. He mathematically allow my brain to catch up a little bit. I regretted the brave and really help themselves and Molly walked letter three times by the Phillies but I thought for sure will be tired, and I yell great season mag I did not think well I'm sorry about that. I wish my Yankees had beaten TJ's Mets, but the TJ's Mets were the better team over the last two nights. That's for darn sure it is believed that they had the better pitching man the more timely hitting and last night my God judge came up in so many high leverage situations, and struck out three times and the Yankees couldn't get Pete Alonso out until his beliefs sixth at-bat of the series.

So there is that you know. We rented server connections and sprinkle is.

Thankfully, Cicely, appreciated me well. As soon as Yankees lost last night.

It was reported and then announced that the Yankees required Andrew been attending the mayor former Mariner for the Red Sox is now now he's on the Royals and the All-Star appearance this year for Kansas City. He is been acquired three pictures, the Yankees sent from their single-A system is better to prevent attendees free agent so there's a row I see I see this is a rental and as of now it does not appear that he is vaccinated so that means when the Yankees go visit Toronto in September. You cannot go.

And heaven forbid the Yankees play Toronto in the playoffs. That would be particularly dicey unless he's gonna as to use the pulp friction phrase gets shot, but what been attending does for this Yankees lineup is return Matt Carpenter to a spot start that off the bench status.

I believe his Kevin Maas run is over and and that further relegates Joey Gallo into insignificant essay he can get DDF aero.

I don't think so.

I think I mean it just looks to me again. I we've never had Gallo on the show. I've heard from people cover the Yankees and in New York that he's a delightful human but clearly he's not cutting it in New York City clearly isn't. You don't not cut for this moment and and been attendees average is double his so when Stanton comes back healthy and let's just say October hits Yankees will lament you first judge second Rizzo third Stanforth been attending fifth. Maybe laboratory sixth Jos Trevino is an All-Star catcher conifer left and the bringer of rain Josh Johnson that your nine. Now if I'm Cashman I go get Luis Castille and then maybe offer the cobs what they want to hack here for to get Dave Robertson back to the Yankees because they lost Michael King in their pen. And then you can go to battle, and hope everyone's healthy including Severino is the Astros right now are the better team, even though they just got swept by the ace. Go figure that now so weird that baseball man. Go figure out but the Mets looked terrific doctors can't lose no and it looks like the Cardinals of the Padres are the current front runners for Juan Soto know you're doing so he's got 2 1/2 years left on his contract so basically you're getting somebody's got the heat was incredibly talented like generationally brilliant during the broadcast last night on ESPN of the Yankees Mets games. They showed Idaho comes up with these numbers about what you know where you can compare and contrast players from different generations. Soto's number of like expected.

I rode home those anymore. I don't know what it is, but he was on par like Ted Williams, Willie Mays, like serious names in the history of the game, but the conundrum with him is if you acquire him now lets you see that you see the tigers want to make a run at him or the Rangers and Rangers want to make a run at him and he would hear that.

Maybe I really sign long-term. They are so do you give up fewer prospects for him because you don't know if you can sign them 2+ years now, and Scott Boris comes action and does that mean the nationals won't accept your offer because he's worth more than what you're willing to give because you don't know if you can sign him long-term.

Now to the Dodgers, the Yankees, the Red Sox, Cardinals, the Padres, who have taught to use their Soto.

I don't think you need to sell him over the next two years either but you never know right like he could bowl what if you give up your four best prospects for him and hearings into year-to-year and disaster. That's not great.

So I don't know.

Is it possible the Soto trait is unworkable right now and that's what I think is holding up quite a bit in this trade deadline market because are you players for Soto are not easy available or not you want to trade your best prospects right now because you could get Soto for it so there's that's one big huge asked Domino that may not even fall so I thought it was wise of Cashman to go and get been attending right now and you know that human strikeout walk or homerun that Joey Gallo is your replacing with them much more versatile header. My two cents on that subject. Just looking at Joey Gallo is baseball reference page is just amazing to me as 170 career home runs in a career average of 201 no one has more home runs may average.

I heard Dan talking about this on the way in to work two days ago the Mendoza line which we grew up knowing about those you of the younger generation. There was a baseball player named Mario Mendoza lit 200 and if you are above the Mendoza line. You could stay in the major leagues. If you are below what you're in the minor leagues and Dan asked if the Mendoza line of a decent average. Now that's a legitimate question. Joey Gallo standing up box 60 any time you watch any major-league baseball game now and at least one if not two hitters is hitting in the teens 9191 and somebody's coming up Mendoza career average of 215 right now that that that's a major leader your guy Escobar over the Yankees couldn't get out from the right side honey judge Boone bringing in Juan de Peralta, on his birthday. By the way different birthday experience in servicers last night wanting Peralta. They bring him in, and the ninth-inning and Escobar is a much better hitter from the right side.

He instantly off double lines of scoring game over that guy Escobar less than what is average is like the easy didn't like to 19 to 18 and he was a good ear for the Mets this past series. These two games followed that mean the time I guys really run off a cliff and that in that regard is a Max Muncy he's just in a horrible slump.

He's hitting 158 Escobar 72 20 dude come about that.

The Dodgers have the best record in the National League.

If the Yankees keep playing 500 and the Astros keep losing to the A's like that. The Dodgers will have the best record in baseball soon and they are carrying a guy who hits 150 gets hit 15% of the time, and a former MVP in Cody Belanger, whose right on the Mendoza line himself yet. That's baseball and again what's the what's the running theme here about lefties running theme about lefties like Gallo and Muncy and Belanger just for just as a for instance, 205 Belanger you know what you know what the you know what the answer is and I know I'm some like Scott Boris here shift. The shift is biased against left-handed hitters. You don't see your second baseman, standing in short left field when there's a right-handed hitter up, you will receive the second baseman standing on the third baseman standing in short right field. When the lefties up. Get rid of the shift you want to move the pitch clock along. I guarantee you, you won't see hitters hitting one 6150 and the game will be much more interesting with a better pace to it. I will take a break here on the rich eyes and the top five NFL players returning for an injury that will have the most impact in 2022. Let's see if your teams on that list. That's next right here on the rich eyes and show Kyler Murray talking still come back here on the rich eyes and show terrestrial radio network are Kyler Murray, a spoken word in a play that soundbite for you will, is to sense on his independent study clause at the top of the next hour, Phil Rosenthal, the creator of everybody loves Raymond and star of the hit show Netflix is somebody feed Phil easier in studio our number three will have a fun conversation. There so I got it I got a top five list for both respect TJ you got your back tomorrow.

Yes, I've decided to rank in my mind.

The top five players in the NFL. When turning from significant injury. That's can have the biggest impact so the top five most impactful returning from injury. Players of 2022 in the NFL.

I would like some NFL films, music to get me in the granite to get us through this top five list, and I appreciate that scope like number five on this list is close to home for me.

You all need pass rushing in this league and certainly if you got a young secondary like the Jets have no sauce. Gardner hasn't given up a touchdown since high school, but it certainly helps if you have a pass rush that can get home and that is exactly what the Jets have been missing significantly. Number five on this list is Carl Lawson, who blew out his Achilles last year we had not seen Carl Lawson since he was a bangle and 2020.

The Jets sign them in free agency to Perham on the same line with Quinn Williams and Johan like he did in 2020. Let all defensive lineman with 32 quarterback hits Robert Somma calls him a freak. He's come back and it looks like he's all the way back from blowing out his Achilles last August.

He's a 27-year-old kid from Auburn and he may be one of the most impactful players.

If the Jets can get him rush the passer sauce Gardner, and on the back end of the offense does what it's supposed to do. I think he is one of the top five players that can have the biggest impact returning from injury and the to make this list, you've got to have missed the entire season. If not, pretty damn near most of it. So he's number five on this list number four on the list is a guy who the Jacksonville Jaguars chose in the first round of last year's draft and pairing him with the first overall pick in last year's draft a first rounder from last year's draft who had a will is Frank injury in the second preseason game Travis HCN. He is back and he looks all of that plus the biscuit and he even said this about his role in this offense. Now Doug Peterson's office that he said he wouldn't mind if you play the depot's annual role.

Now he's running back who contacted out of the backfield. They are doing okay here running back what you mean people is not running back is a wide receiver. Please write back depot is 6 foot to 16 Travis HCN is 510 to 15 so he can pack a wallop, maybe not as big and tall as depot, but he is 1/25 overall pick of last year's draft. We did not see at all last year and he's also tight with the quarterback.

As you know, college days, this was easy and crashing. Trevor Lawrence's press conference just a couple of dollars now.

It's great guide been together for a while. Mr. last year's decide to have them back as in Adam very explosive elements are our offense and helps a lot skip back some winter owners are excited.

I can't dig it the leading rusher in the history of the ACC by the way, is coming back from injury.

We haven't seen them play a single NFL down you and I'm looking forward to that number three on the list of most impactful players returning to action from injury is Jeff Okuda of your Detroit Lions mean this kid from the Ohio State he blew out his Achilles in the first game last year and he is back with no limitations or to see him on hard knocks. The coach loves him.

Interesting if there is a roar gets restored by this kid on the back and from scarlet gray and the maize and blue kid upfront get home fast and Adrian and Aiden Hutchinson to get Jeff Okuda more pics thrown his way.

Everybody talking about the Lions being better than you think this is one reason why he's coming back injury. I think you can have a significant impact on Aaron Glenn's side of the ball. That's number three, number two is another Buckeye this guide. Now there's a question she's getting ready for the season.

He is made it sound like as he will be bought. What is JK Dobbins going to look in this ravens offense. He blew out his knee. Remember it was him in the end Gus Edwards asked like man days. What a brutal day in late season of white light preseason last year right before the beginning of the season. JK Dobbins if he comes back on time and I think he will. But once he does get back and starts rolling. This offense will be far more significant sniffing and especially if were not going to get much of a passing game out of Baltimore again from the wide receiver position, but JK Dobbins I think is terrific. He can wear you out. He can be one of the best running backs in this league like he was in the Big Ten and I think the skies the limit for him. I hope he is as healthy as the ravens hope and he says he is, because that makes him number two on this list of the most impactful players returning to injury and again there's a theme here visiting here in the problem with that is you know I speak I piece here from the heart from the got his number ones. A Buckeye on this listing can't guard Mike when he's that good can't guard Mike when he is that good and let's see if Michael Thomas is still as good as the guy that caught everything from true breeze and broke records and is one of the best wide receiver position when he is healthy and he is back. He returned to practice on Tuesday for the first time in a teen months, a year and 1/2. It's been since he's back with the New Orleans Saints with the fleur-de-lis on the side of the helmet.

Clearly we'll see if Jamison is the guy and as good as we hope he can be a Michael Thomas can easily be far and away despite how talented the rest of this list is the most impactful player returning from injury in 2022. In the National Football League. That's my list. And did you see my Thomas's tweet yes or no I did not. Sir, I did not yell favorite fantasy doctor lied and then had the Pinocchio face, meaning that he's not very back in any way be ready for the start of the season are is not as good as he once was. So it's not a lie.

If you believe so here I was thinking of putting Christian McCaffrey on this list, but he did play, you know, almost 1/4 of the season last year on what I wanted I wanted guys who didn't play at all last year or barely like Okuda barely played. I like that China safety and want to try and decide they want to keep them in fantasy this year, but your choices basically him cam Akers and Chris God role okay. The two of the three I keep to the three I don't I would keep would you keep now the IT cam Akers I think he's any he's a no-brainer. I'm just a no-brainer. Decide between God when and when all the dice entity and if God wins back.

I mean how do you not go with Chris, if he's back and you see there's no limitations and you'll see an increase in annual here will know will know by the time but when you have to let everyone know I drafted a couple weeks I'll get it get it know by the drafts that the remains in them three weeks. That's in my house again this year is to get the rent on the Super Bowl so everyone's come in here right okay and everyone here and there.

Still no time limit at it. We have not we have. We ran things in the time, it seems the 14 teams 1414 teams. I mean, what a nightmare.

14 teams that's a nightmare alone right a lot. How many how many guys do draft 15 oh my God, so there's nothing left in the waiver wire at all now.

It's a Slim Pickens God throughout the year. Alright so you can even like a waiver wire is basically insignificant. Now you will hardly eat if you desperately need somebody get somebody to replace yeah okay premium attempted draft wisely, pretty much, and then there's no time limitation on how long it takes to someone and expect honestly, I know it would be done with this for the 10 years change like aren't there enough people would live to get to.

I think for the people with no lives. This is there one break from that nonlife that they're interested in getting as much time as I can. I mean, it sounds like the minorities ruling sounds like America is your worth is nine that was my work think that's how America was working at the moment I do not mean that minority to be clear, Phil Rosenthal, cam Akers is a bust. I think he's gotta be haymaker is just a something real quick about the defending world champs sure talk about that me this is Los Angeles and the nationally is not talking about them or if this was the patriots so we be talking if this was the Giants. If this is the Cowboys old my God you be talking about this thing so why don't we do that right is about a girl in the Los Angeles that's why we could change that I'm doing it right now. Go as well as most teams, as most members would you take Sean McVeigh if you could have Mr. coach. Oh, I mean how many teams would probably not take take down Donald lived there potentially the best wide receiver best coach and best defense of player of the last 20 years on and they retained most everyone else. What's not to love, but I bet you if you ask most people are such a shot to win it all this year based on this, but the cynical question who's got the best chance to win the Super Bowl out of the opening-night participants you think the bills would win seven out of every 10 votes right now think the bills are starting 970 30 bills would 7030 writing maybe 65 Mike Diane Browner yeah but then I might turn out to be one of them in the end, just as merely it's so difficult to repeat, like we have still seen since years one and two of NFL network and this is your 19 season number 20 men amazing. We came out of the box and NFL network and it was that repeat champions and now is the patriots in back-to-back years beating the Panthers and the Eagles in back-to-back years. At the last time that happened. And just so that alone were were were overdue. Stafford's terrific. Come on now, if the Cowboys had let's say Dez Bryant back in the day. Dez had a season like cop okay and you know Jason Garrett was viewed as the brilliant young coach like McVeigh was viewed was a bump and Romo Romo is like that journeyman finally broke through right.
