So how do we keep from losing heart trying to find one feels more like a losing battle when something worth dying for, grab your gear, West Brothers will serve as the guys recall masculine journey masculine journey starts here welcome to the mass today is Caroline go-go Power Rangers right-handed batters. I was thinking about my topic Power Rangers and so unfortunately Sam's a little under the weather but were glad to have you. There's you witness thank you to be okay.

I'm one of the night though I David you can make whatever, while he sounded a bit like a Power Rangers Way that that's coming on the robotic sound thoughts into. I thought so too.

So Andy has the honor of the topic tonight and so in the set up force the Power Rangers so mom earlier is is been charity and we talked about poorly recently and spent all my heart to try to dig into it. It was kind of a reminder that I needed to dig into my order your little bit more because his mention went on vacation with the family to Europe to England and in doing so I just really want to prepare my heart for for you know to just walk in the love of God wherever I was at whatever I was doing and while I was there I heard a song and heard a long time. Had to go to the UK. But the power of love was to hold that back until we talk about it but later bit. Anyway, just the power of love love is truly the most powerful force in the universe and had been thinking thinking on first Corinthians 13, the love chapter, you not like God is like. There's no other.

There's no other word in the Bible that has a full chapter dedicated that I think it significant. It's important thing to me in the two greatest commandments love God all your heart, soul, mind and strength and love your neighbor as yourself.

So is this something I haven't really focused on and I just wanted to be more intentional and then I got this Scripture recently that this came across like a devotion, the daily Scripture that was in the message translation on them. Read Philippians one before, but this is Philippians 1 911 says that this is my prayer that your love will flourish and that you will not only love much, but well learn to love appropriately. You need to use your head and test your feelings so that your love is sincere and intelligent, not sentimental. Gosh live a lovers life circumspect exemplary life.

Jesus would will be proud of Bountiful and fruit from the soul making Jesus Christ attracted to all getting everyone involved in the glory and praise of God, that was just really powerful. You know a lot of it talks about love with the mind we think about all you live with your heart, but again this is got love God with all your mind.

Hope's heart, soul and mind, and so my thought was, this is some God speaking to me here to be more intentional walk in love now I've done my version of walking in love before and it was Randy's love and messed up way of trying to get what Andy wants, but just think that we really can really press in the God and and and funnel his love to humanity and receive his love. Obviously, we can't do that unless we really received his love some. I think personally of the poster child of somebody who doesn't. Gosh I cannot I think of Rodney you get this letter so your idea. You have a clip, but certainly not gushing.

This is masculine journey treasurer that we bring out all the time so it probably for most it doesn't really need to set up but the clip is called.

It's not about the nail and if you not listen to us in going out and actually watch the clip you need to.

It is a very powerful visual clip that basically you have a guy and a woman sitting there talking about things in she's talking about how she's got troubles and will hear about that in the clip and it helps to have the visual but she's got a nail stuck in her head and he's want to fix it and she's want to talk about her feelings and emotions. There are completely different planes in different levels and that's where I've always felt that I am at is I'm in one place, and whoever the other person is in talking with what it was my spouse or like the situation is, or my kids or friends always feel like I'm in some other dimension trying to figure out what's going on. I'm not getting it right like the sky ahead's pressure and sometimes it feels like it's on me and I can just feel it like literally file in its relentless thing that scares me most is that I don't know if it's ever going to stop do have a nail in your head is not. Are you sure because if we got that out there trying to fix it.

Now I'm not trying to fix it.

I'm just pointing out maybe the nail is because you always do this and you just see I don't think that is what you need to think what you need is to get the nail. Okay fine I will listen fine times. He is very well at all, sweaters are snagged on sounds really hard on just as soon as they start to get a little sentimental there and thank you for caring about me. They go to kiss and then she force the nail hits the other down the head and it that's just it all off again right and that's what happens is we go and we try to be intentional love and then what happens Satan or just your fleshly nature gets in the way again and you're right back in that same place as we talked about were we try to enter into a situation where we think, all I'm doing the right thing and we find ourselves back to our site OMI MI loving in this situation again. Do I really care more about my loved one, the person across me, my neighbor, whatever you want to call somebody else and are you really putting them ahead of yourself, like Jesus would've done and being sacrificial with your love. I know that for me. I I lived most of my life not being sacrificial. It was more than we said earlier tonight about sometimes just one of my getting out of it. Jan doing some for somebody but yet there still this little hint of what am I getting in. This just as you're going through that final anti-I love what you said when we were in the preshow.

Whatever he unit even said and I do this myself like can we just fix this so I don't have to go through all this right in what can we just get down to and get on the other side of this problem in when you think about Jesus right he asked the guy's paralytic as he could be calling the water like do you do you want to be well. In other words TEDs inviting the conversation not just to fix right and and and you know we can evolve, find ourselves there as with when I thought about what you were explaining is that the power of his love transformed her yet. So if you're going to actually like today I am much easier to actually want to listen, not just because I'm supposed to, but actually listen from the beginning and want to know what somebody's story is you know somebody you work with and just it's just it's different on the side of Christ when you talk to people and that now it's a beautiful thing, since I am you've got a clip from us for if you wouldn't mind set that up, movie love actually the very beginning about love.

How the world really revolves around the and so and what you hear the intro is talking about his observation on love and then want to come back and share why that state of the world.

I think about the arrivals gate at Heathrow Apple general opinion study to make out that we live in a world of hatred and greed see that seems to me that love is everywhere often is not dignified on his wedding. It's always the fathers and sons listen to his husbands and wives, boyfriends, girlfriends, old friends. When the planes hit the twin towers as far as I know none of the phone calls from global messages is a sort of thing. They will messages of love.

If you look for it. I got a sneaky feeling you'll find that love actually is all around Sam. I focused on the negative in my daily routine driving in the drive in front of me as I would I get very frustrated easily. God has to remind me. It really focuses on love is all around the love drives what we do most time. Love love dictate how we treat one another Jesus when he laughed. For the time being you physical presence walking on your you gave us a commander want love one another, and so I try to really meant that in my life.

I started that several years ago.

An example would be my kids making decisions that really wouldn't agree with chastising them loving and through the situation if needed by a government by its more about loving another example of the training with the person right now to is about my age and so is parent then love and are getting out there and they're dealing with the health patient and their family that's really get the family divided and before we ever step in any type of training and that what's going on with that situation, we pray. We talk about tomorrow hundred 19 Psalm earth is full by Hassett which you know Jim knows his love in my life were in one of those ways that we can love and we would love to is for you to come to the boot camp coming up the weekend before Thanksgiving and the entrenchment. One of my favorite things about boot camp. The favorite thing is every time I know I'm not seeing anyone that has encountered God knows, generally speaking, it's nothing we registered masculine journey.OR.

One of the things it's been a true joy to me is having my sons there with me to boot camps and watching them get an understanding that I wish I would have several years and I'm still probably learning a little bit as we go. Watching them getting manhood in understanding what is and how to say we receive journey Power Rangers right to set up our Ranger. That's the wrong stage of life that really spoke to you I was in a TK Maxx I know what that is is what they had to rename them in the UK was TK Maxx to the head like a TJ username and what computer so I think that's where I was at. If I remember right, but it really did. It spoke to me. I'm like, because you know that song was in a very popular mind made a reminder that Mina is back to the future may think yeah and and really there is power in love again. I don't know how scripturally accurate. Some lyrics are and that there is power in love and in its its power. Little is actually changed things. You know if you have somebody who's doesn't know God, and you express love that person get a glimpse of God and that is powerful and that's what it's intended to be.

That's what it was set up with both love our brother and sister in Christ, but also the lost. The world and you know there is power in that so dolling up.

Now it's not so like you are an interesting situation right here there with your estranged wife and you're trying to quell the main yet it we were there we were there about when to support our daughter to who had to go to England to write but I mean they're trying to love her well through an absolutely both the government and there was a lot of stuff going on the stuff that yet opportunity, but was also very stressed and you know I feel like I feel like I didn't always love well through that week that I did the majority of the time and I had such an attitude. My heart was whole and trying and trying to to love and I think if any phrase the hall, gets in the way the hungry, angry, lonely, tired. I went back to that many times because a lot of times you you fall back in the bad habits that aren't necessarily loving but all in all it was a really a great trip and I have the opportunity to not only love them. There was this fun and funny situation we were in this part down call Coventry and we were walking to the store and this lady was bent over and she dropped her cane and she was all a little link I needed cement.

I reached over and picked that up.

You notice this out what was in my heart to do and she said thank you. Love and I walked over to my my life. My daughter Mike she loves me she beer that she loves me it was just as is like God was there was the school situation so this example of Peter R.

Paul Paul sees me. I was one of those that my clip yeah I do so was trying to think whenever God put this on my heart went through a lot of clerk clips and this one just really spoke to me. First of all first Corinthians 13 is been central to my heart. During this whole time there's. It really defines love, and who wrote first Corinthians 13. Of course, is Paul. Paul's not in this clip they're talking about Paula think he's in jail and are just talking about what's going on in the early church.

Whenever was it was all this persecution and it really just focuses you hear it you will hear all these different sides Lucas, Jim Caviezel, if you know his voice is speaking in here and he's currently trying to encourage people to do what Paul would do what Jesus would select only a short time left in the city. We must hold strong strong like deceased Austin nothing else from the city entering symptoms you blame yourselves and not the ones who have met Alice having taken from you as you covered in the blood of the child. Six.

Tell me what would you do with the price you see things and evil is still none of us here with. I have watched baby stone once did he raise his finger against his oppressors. Peace be with you for we live in the world that we do not wage war in love truly is the only way I mean when you listen to that we have a quite easy life here.

I mean two things going.

I run into it all the time.

Somebody really offends me. I'm ready to do all this bad thing is like draw blood with my cuts me off in traffic. That's the rough life that we live in this getting that really just the fact that love those calls this not to do the things we want to do by default in our flesh and respond in anger, even though it makes every bit of sense to do it so you know this.

Looking at first Corinthians 13 there's a lot of stuff that it says to be in a kind and patient to not be boastful to live righteousness. You know it's his love rejoices in truth, but they almost never have zipper merging.

Yeah, I don't barely got coming on ricin zipper merging so love at all times, except when somebody delivered just wanted him to Harold because you know when I think of the power. Love and I've known Harold for a number of years anyway and I've watched right yet you you don't have the, the power of love, your brightest minimum on your about this whole situation you want to speak to that.

Yeah, I'm different. She has encouraged me greatly to get rid of the anger that I used to carry around with me all the time. I'm no longer that angry man used to scream and yell it's a fit about inconsequential things and I can thing my sweetheart, and Holy Spirit, that change can you take us actually in the data bit Harold because I have seen the change.

I mean, not just in the way you drive, but actually in your hope that all mean that you were no anything before that was but I'm just saying there is a change there and and what you think you know it wasn't brought about. I mean, I know the Holy Spirit in life you can you give us more specific like will partially smell of her because the way I was acting was hurting her and anyone hurt her.

I would lay down in the floor and dive her.

She knows and the so when I you do cut I got a lay down on the floor and I think I think that may be stupid for doing it because a risk in both of us to have an accident and I no longer scream or yell or culminating I just recognize it and all were already in this room, so I get it I get it, but I'd I just think it's neat and it's and it's in its you know going on in everybody's life. I know of your list right now, you've had some experience like I used to be this way.

But after Christ came in. You know it it change me. I know I used to be afraid of the dark many for that story. I used to be a lot of things right, but over a period of time as he may become more wholehearted and and we we come after him that you know there's there's this phenomenal thing that you didn't think was possible that actually changed within your agent.

I would say that you have to want change in order to change as I went for a long time, Mike and all kind of excuses I was right and they were wrong and I was justified in my actions and truly I was not.

But until I really decided that I wanted to change. I couldn't write right that's Harold just sort of illustrating a point I was thinking of earlier.

So often we think love is being emotional thing and it can be very emotional. But the most important part and you made it.

It's a decision you cited the love those drivers that were irritating.

You and I identify with that because I think the one place I'm still most likely get a little irritated and lists loving is driving but then I realize that and what and it is a decision where it used to take me off when somebody got in front of me say that on the ready to light now. It's a okay you might ever reason need to get there quicker than I do. And there are too many that get there quicker than I do. The biggest thing is no longer wish I could run them off the road and get away with it. Just hope to get where they're going.

So Jim Gladden what she thinks her clip of what I think course at my clip well when I was thinking about love and God has graced me with bigger dose of being able to love.

I think some people have and I thank you for that. But it isn't mine and I wish you were talking about love being power. While the power comes from the only place that any power comes from. That's from God so this clip is Jesus loving on Nicodemus, my thanks Kleist's numerical yes, even more than you remember when the children of the sand complained against God and against Moses when things yes they wanted to return to Egypt and the custom content and then something's and they were dying, made away to behave. Moses Bronson. This is Jesus loving on us and I think when he said that we will do greater things us sharing the love I come join us for that at the next boot camp coming up the week before Thanksgiving. The entrenchments come in at the end of September through 1 October boastful to see their domestic journey about Margie and registered. This is the Truth Network
