Chasing The Wild Goose Holy Spirit Adventures

Primarily is what was from and I know you hear the term Celtic but it's actually supposed to be Celtic at the Celtic people didn't refer to the Holy Spirit as a.they didn't use that as the symbol right and when we think about the common church now and we think about the whole experience, often represented by Dove, which makes a lot of sense because the dove is about peace and comfort us in a comforting types of aspects. The Holy Spirit brings right what the Celtic people realized insertion of wild adventure straight to the Holy Spirit and so they used a wild goose and and when you were following the adventure with the Holy Spirit. They call it chasing the wild goose. I'm on adventure with a wild goose and so united in a later became like anything else, the enemy takes what is meant for good and is a really cool thing and twisted and turns it makes something a lot less right to it if if it doesn't make it evil. At least makes it a waste of time. The whole trip Yandel, which is John Candy's character is kinda going with the punches most part in going along the way at the end there, both changed right in and they go on an adventure and they both end up at home right at the at Steve's home in this and so they'll get someplace to go for Thanksgiving a place to be home with some family in onset, his family, but they're bringing them into it and I started thinking about this that that's what the Holy Spirit as he brings this a couple different places, but it's always a version home and I could be home with the father could be home with in healing and restoration. Get some men together and I can see a campfire as so we begin put this thing together and the resistance if he will will hi got do it how you pay for that I had no idea was following this idea and so we scheduled a date and we were going to have a night session and a meal and then the next day, displacing that weekend. It doesn't require us to step out in the unknown and that's what were talking about today were talking about chasing the wild goose following the Holy Spirit on adventures and in when we left any year in mid adventure you tell us about something to do with setting up a campfire and something else. What was going on. Yeah Godhead fella got it impressed me to get some men to get around a campfire like an overnight camp thing and as we set this thing up.

We didn't do a real good job about registration, contacting people, but like okay here's already so there was a storm front coming through. Spotted tornadoes in Tennessee. This will be a great weekend for The day Bob: if you were going.

You got canceled. This thing you do this to my good friend George college or I called him and he now pretty close to Tom and he said go sit your tenant. I thought, well, it'll blow down to probably Forsyth County from Randolph. At that point in okay so I will set my tan misting rain and I go out in the woods. There's a crosswalk out at that place and I went out in the woods and to God what did you tale the median that you laid out in the wilderness. I will never forget what I heard it was you tell them I am cinch and I come out there I can afford a demon tooth and nail just ready to go.

We set up to camp and it was an amazing time a guy shows up with cooks a whole barbecue meal in charge of saving put a large donation in the in the in the coffers to help pay for the thing plus plus donate all the food guys showed up. We only had rain one time. We literally on the radar screen. The storefront literally parted around Randolph County. We didn't have any rain. We camped out we had a fire. We did the whole 9 yards and when we settled everything out and we had to pay for the place we had three sent left over. We donated that place we figured you wanted to sprinkle over and start honey whether Moses divided the store might have swirl in fire. We have like parting rain clouds/Americans.

How do you know when you heard from God and still get chills just hearing his voice Henry's all my brother. If you haven't if you were somebody I was walking with and walk alongside you and just show you he was talking about the walk with the Holy Spirit and he lived in adventure his entire life. He still around that ministry morbid.

Not too long after that my wife needed a major operation and surround our 30th anniversary so we decided to go to Alaska and that's was part of the inspiration for this clip but it really is. They become that level of adventure flying into Alaska and not sure we were going to crash. We went on a cruise that was the easy part on the cruise and little Presbyterian Church in Skagway.

Both my wife and I heard from God.

We were to come to Alaska.

Now we didn't never been out of the Carolinas is a South Carolina girl is a North Carolina girl and never got married.

She said we are not going more than you know. It's been revealed had 200 miles from her. Bob and got to the point where we said okay were going go on this adventure with God, not in a hurry will sell the house. Less allotment will pay a realtor stuck Simon yard at noon and at 7 PM that night were signing a contract on the house and then they wanted us out quick. We can maybe two weeks to go away or give away most of my job and had to Alaska and the only people that really said yeah that sounds like God with a five man that ended up on our board pretty much all family. Most of our friends. You said your nuts yet what you do when you get there. We don't know and leave it and that's for a while, say we were chased out and we were pursuing God and it was sort of when he got hold of us because we were chasing him.

It was quite an adventure and that that we thought we are gone forever and we had and we knew what were you doing what you got there and we were wrong on both of those counts so they yeah say I felt more chased chasing during that adventure was a wonderful adventure with God one that changed our lives permanently. Jim could question you are from uptown Charlotte where you I was East Charlotte Siewert and uptown girl I was on country club Drive and I am told that I debated your background, so running up even share holy spirit adventure deHavilland you'd like to share with us really that's what you know is thinking along the lines of there's lots of adventures that I was on by myself really since coming to Christ and then walk my walk my life and where Matt with this band of brothers and with my brothers and sisters in Christ and church and you know doing all that is and then my personal family and breaking up. Now everything is an incredible adventure with God that is one where I am personally met with the Holy Spirit for sure. I cannot praying you know, for healing and restoration all kinds of other things that are just know very personal, very daily type things that are no hey, I just I just want to be sustained for today. I know forget about tomorrow's other things in these put a bunch of things into my life of the last five, six, seven years that have just been no. In hindsight it looks like oh there's connection at the time their psycho where the heck am I going so it's been an adventure of just trying to get through life and just that contentedness that has come over me is absolutely the Holy Spirit is just not me you didn't really answer my question back in the after hours. I am asking to share a story about boot camp when you follow the Holy Spirit out to quiet time so you get a chance or think about that but you did give me great answer equals I didn't answer the question things ahead before hand was really the only place I've ever been on ventures of the Holy Spirit is been boot camp.
