Live in San Diego. Full lines are open you got questions. We got answers stock for the line of fire with your host activist and author, international speaker and theologian Dr. Michael Brown your voice of moral cultural and spiritual revolution Michael Brown was the director of the coalition of conscience have the president of the fire school of ministry get into the line of fire now by calling 866-34-TRUTH. That's 866-34-TRUTH here again is Dr. Michael Brown welcome welcome to the line of fire. This is Michael Brown and come your way. Live from San Diego attending the Evangelical theological Society conference in this tomorrow subsided biblical literature.

One day, then heading home ready take your calls 866-34-TRUTH 87884.

Any question of any kind, as long as it's appropriate for Christian radio.

Glad to take your calls. They can be personal for you. They can be personal for me. They can be theological biblical that can be political, cultural phone lines are open to the phones momentarily, but yesterday I delivered a paper at the Evangelical theological Society conference attendees at its academic conference or scholars, professors, theologians, philosophers, their apologists, and you sit and you listen to papers being read in that you interact and ask questions, and it's it's intellectually edifying. It's eye-opening in terms of biblical scholarship in things, but it's not normally like an emotional setting, but when I was delivering my paper yesterday on how Job spoke rightly about God from Job 42, seven and eight and then talking about how in a certain level challenging God can be an act of faith. I was reading some powerful coats of Jewish devotion in times of suffering, and I literally almost broke down crying a couple times I I had to I had to really fight to it, to not break down crying and in others removed to separate the paper so it was warmly received and sees me great interest in the Job commentary those who are who are reading the commentary now been blessed by so were so pleased to hear that and it was a real honor to deliver the paper yesterday all right. We start in New York with Stephen welcome to light a fire. Thanks for calling hello Dr. Brown hello talk to you again and you hear me yet you're you're not on speakerphone aria or Bluetooth your talk on the phone okay great yeah I okay I big fan I just finished your Jezebel book by my have a question one. One of the biggest biggest trend now that seems to be affecting our society. As you know, the rising secular humanism or a lot of people basically they don't believe in the authority of Scripture to make believe that a lot of what is written in the Bible it met the light. I was just wondering if you would have the if you've ever I know you've debated secular humanist path.

I was just wondering if you would ever consider writing a book on perhaps how the church could reach people like that. It is up trend seems to be growing. Yeah, first, thank you for the kind words Steve and I'm glad you are finished. Jezebel book and I have not specifically sought about writing on this but I'm wide open to it in my book, saving a sick America and then again the Jezebel book I reference how when people turn away from God.

In the words of Chesterton, it's not that they believe nothing, but they believe anything I think it's it's wise to show how many new and weird beliefs there are among Americans of those that consider themselves nuns having no affiliated, no religious affiliation is a great increase among them, and in beliefs in the occult, and in other types of strange forms of spirituality and dark forms of spirituality so it's interesting to see how the bill say they have no interest in God or spiritual things within many of them or pursuing spiritual things, which indicates that something is still missing and I believe that as the gospel comes in power and their generally touch with an encounter with God. Many of them will be radically save. That being said, Stephen.

It's important that we do have answers for them and I am going to start working on a book in a few months, gobbling that is going to address why many people fall away from the faith and help those who are struggling with their faith and hope. Reach out to those who fall away because often we don't have an environment where they feel safe answering their questions because our asking questions and because of that they feel they can't get answers to the questions and they walk away if we have an environment where people with honest questions can, were not threatened by them that's going to help many people make a long-term Stephen, thank you for asking. Another seed planted in my thinking was he with the Lord has for the future and be sure to post a review on Amazon.

Even if you didn't buy Jezebel there a post review on Amazon. Even if it's just a lot of the book was a blessing to it's a great way to get word out to others. God bless you Stephen thank you for the call 866-34-TRUTH let's go to Chuck in Winston Salem. Thanks for calling the line of fire.

We are in order for very well thank you sir of the quick course for one but all of pop or unwanted below was a bit after like the Beverly band concert all and on top of that and LB Guatemala which are minimal, but Luca Kelby about the Richmond 11 Republican little or what under them in the MLB draft but yet thank you Chuck. All right, so to to answer your question number one Jewish beliefs have varied over the centuries and variance of the stay about the afterlife. A traditional Jew, so a religious Jew is much more conscious of an afterlife utility put the whole emphasis on living a pleasing life in this world and observatory in this world and making the world a better place here and now there is a belief in afterlife and that people will suffer for period of time.

Kind of like a purging thing similar to a purgatory, but only for a limited period of time of 11 months and then after that though, going to a place of eternal bliss with God and of innocent was perfectly righteous to go there automatically, but is not as big an emphasis on heaven and hell, a liberal Jew brothers and think about this world is all there is a limit die, they die so nonreligious to that would be there if you ask for in Jesus day. We know that the Sadducees did not believe in an afterlife but the Pharisees did and and they did believe in a heaven and they did believe in a hell and as to consciousness after death. Luke 16 would reflect what what we understand who been pharisaical police on the other one in the account is not to be taken literally in that one man goes into paradise just because he's poor.

The other man goes into place of torment description was unkind, and ensuring it is symbolic of of things more than anything, but it is to be understood literally is a time of separation at death sum to a place of punishment and some to place of blessing.

Thank you for the call 86634 let's go to Jonathan and Washington.

Welcome to the line of fire. All right, you can bet I thought I had a question regarding the tree of life version of the Bible. You are one of I will call you. You work on the tree of life version didn't you yeah interestingly enough, I was one of the readers for Paul's letters when the Old Testament portion was being edited.

I was uninvolved in that, but then got involved later. So even though Greek is not my specialty in the literature well enough that he was always involved going through that and then some larger translation questions I've been involved with over the years yes or I was not at my I don't your question.

Some people, and I hope I can active correctly but my question though. I got a TLB Bible just recently and I really like it.

I think the good translation as far as I can tell that it but for what ever reason, whenever I read it from holding it. I start to get it almost like a physical pain. Kind of.

I don't know how to plan it. Other than that. Talk about.

Let's let's very odd because you're holding a very nations the word of God using I could say Sir is that there's something about the truth the goblins to convey to you through that there is some type of demonic attack. I mean if if I'm trying to come up with an answer.

This is pure speculation, obviously, but since it is a faithful translation of Scripture done by a team of God-fearing people and it's it's the whole goal is to exalt Jesus, you sure as Messiah to help the church connect with the biblical face and help Jewish people recognize who Jesus is. Then, if there is something that's actually happening if if it's a physical pain. That's a negative thing that I would just think it's some kind of attack and ignore it and just read the word and praise God or if you feel you need to rebuke demonic powers do it if it's if it's something elsewhere there's a pain and you realizes that her physical parents or spiritual pain because God is burdening you to pray for the lost sheep of the house of Israel could be. But beyond that, boy. I don't know someone looking at this for more psychological viewpoint like so all you had a pain. He picked up the first standout psychosomatic that whatever it is it's not something being sent from God to hurt your physical body, that's for sure. And anything that we keep you away from reading the word you need to overcome that and be sure you get into Scripture until he's a great bully replaced to do it.

Hate.

Thank you for the call and may the Lord give grace and may the situation resolved itself quickly. All right, that's appreciate the call that's obviously a first 86634 through three at one phone line open go to Illinois. Erin you are on the line of fire. Thank you for calling you dark brown daughter day barely talk to my order, but I I moved back to Chicago though. But I made it to Courtney first person what to maybe come up a dialogue or debate and I remember a extra body want to your same bar of the person with qualified now. In that regard. Are you paying out do they have to have like to agree or are they disqualified from the position is on to the debate someone has to be recognized by their camp or their community or have credentials that others would recognize to qualify them for the debate. So for example if someone wanted to debate me on Confucianism and the details of that one. I'm not qualified to debate that I have no background and no knowledge in it whatsoever and it would be a fair debate abut if if I've been asked to debate someone, as long as their community recognizes them say it was a gay activist Casey Loach in her confessor as long as they were either essential recognize that it's fair to their site. It will take the supplements of the pre-spirit.

Her plan and gives the line of fire with your host Dr. Michael Brown, the line of fire now by calling 866-34-TRUTH here again is Dr. Michael Brown transferred we have been join our patriotic team.

It's an easy way to support something just about everyone can do just pennies a day, $0.30 more per day $10 more per month to become a patriotic partner, patriotic.com asked/asked Dr. Brown patriotic.com/KSK DR Brent you know what, if you do it right now one of you can be patron on number 200 and in the next to be 201 and so on so good in a patron like him/ask at your breath. Find out about the two bonus videos you get every single week by standing with us yes so so Aaron again. I want to be fair.

If there's going to be a debate and look if I have a a wrestling match with a three-year-old kid and I pin the kid to the ground what was proved by that. How does that show. My strengths are my wrestling ability whatever so if you do a debate you need someone qualified on each side so that it's a fair debate and that people will calm and realize okay their view was fairly represented and yet there were answers provided to you want to get people to think that's a whole goal you so if the representative can't represent the other position. It's not fair to the community. Nor will you accomplish your goal of getting the people in the community think is a think well we just didn't have our best person up there so what what US right but require little while ago about if you would, dialogue or debate were the name of brother Josh about the Bible truth and I emailed you guys… I haven't had a response but maybe I'll try to email guy you got began all just wondering if maybe they'll do I do I know that.no Bible very well, you know, Google history knows so you deftly woke first thing is I've been what's the issue that he would be debating me on okay so the art though he disagrees with like paternity that you created all the boys we should keep a log, but not like they're going on people is a lot know he does believe we can keep a log, but yelled like no other belief that I believe are Christian but my make is the deity of Christ being uncreated and in the Trinity. Dr. yet this is not I again have a debated that, most recently with Prof. Dale Tuckey, but in point of fact we get constant invitations to be on podcast to be on Skype interviews to be on video shows on YouTube and it's it's constant.

If we if we took every single one of those invitations honestly would even have time to write articles or write books or travel and preach, so that's another thing. Does the person have an audience can just try to be fair and then be wise is a steward of my time does the person have an audience if if we go on their YouTube channel. Who will we be speaking to Seward were just trying to be wise with her use of time.

Not that I'm better than somebody else and there plenty meetings.

I do very small, teaching, mentoring, small groups of people, but we just have to be wise in our use of time.

So we'll see if something comes out of it greatly thank you for calling and by the way, remember, keep your codon in Chicago so that warmer than Fort Myers, FL 86634 let's go to the right. We won't go there. Let us go to Carlo in San Diego. I'm in San Diego. Welcome to one of fire, Dr. Brown of the weather.

Under Nevada, L not then it was is the rainy forget is okay to come here going especially rain that we get we get a lump in a while you just flat out my hotel room out into the into the bay. It's it's beautiful. Every day, but my question was pretty much in the outer darkness. As explained in Matthew, the same as the lake of fire when it comes to judgment as it is it because this is the blog that was written from the great evangelical piety 30. The more briefly theologian which they hold to eternal security.

I know many people with a cheap shopping called MPV believe in them and in anything likely try to keep everybody save the day, do not distinguish from one thing of salvation and the other thing is discipleship of how much we grow in the Lord. So my question is that judgment differently now is outer darkness and described in Matthew different from the lake of fire. Certainly, outer darkness is a final judgment.

Darkness is not a punishment for a believer that didn't grow as a disciple, outer darkness is where an unbeliever, a wicked person, someone who rejects the Lord is is cast but these are also images you know for example if you have if you have fire then how does that work with darkness, you know, and in life you have fire you have fire without unduly consuming things so these are also figures that convey different aspects of suffering and in pain and rejection, so I I don't try to figure out outer darkness is here and gnashing of teeth is these. These are pictures that are painted show how terrible the suffering of final judgment how terrible the suffering of help would be so that that being that being said, that being said of. I understand though that outer darkness seems to be more a picture of immediate judgment or separation from God and in the hell is ultimately cast into the lake of fire, but outer darkness could also be an image of the suffering of the lake of fire right so I'm not going to try to make every kind of distinction there except to say that outer darkness is not a punishment for a believer that loses the reward or believer that walked away from God. But you're still saved.

No outer darkness is for the losses for the unsaved outer darkness is a place of final irredeemable judgment. Thank you very much for the question, 86634 let's go to Jesse in California where in California are you Jesse. I'm from crumpet okay great yeah. Welcome to broadcast your about an hour nap, wake me out. I am to be in Northern California think about an hour south of San Francisco.

About three weeks from now and I fall if this forget the Sissy Fremont. Maybe anyways, it's on my itinerary this Dr. Brown.org and then I'm in California few times the first few months of 2020, God willing. Yet what's up, so why do you want to make a quick recommendation, you're in the area to buy a good local in and out and maybe give it a good Arnold culture but it is working in the will in in and out with horses is famous. They have like a cultlike following, except I'm a solid guy. Now another burger guy so years ago.

Years ago I would've done and I've had some in and out burgers of your birthday or they have kind of legendary status of your you understand afternoon. My question is I served in the military I live in Iraq and infantry and is a group who understand that the doctor, the great God, I do. I've been stroking with that of veterans and veterans. A lot of people struggle with anxiety and difficult. My question would be what type of biblical helper that can you give a person going to uptime in Odessa yet so anxiety can be very difficult to deal with because it doesn't have to be based on facts. In other words, you can. You could be sitting at home and everything is fine.

You feel anxious Safir something's wrong.

Something's going to happen so often facts and rational information don't help someone struggling with anxiety and there are often deeper root causes of people suffer from PTSD and other things that that many times professional help, godly Christian wise help can really minister to them, but just speaking generally alright so for someone that just in general was struggling with anxiety. I would direct them to Philippians 463 Philippians 463 so. First, on a daily basis. Whatever is bothering you. Whatever's concerning you was on your mind, bring it to the Lord and that just second list Lord I'm worried about this am concerned about this. I feel insecure about this. I will know about this bothered try to get everything out and just tell it to the Lord like he was sitting across the table from you just lay it all out but then do it like Philippians forces with thanksgiving that you sank God for his faithfulness. You remember how he's come through for you in the past you. You praise him for who he is and then it says the peace of God that passes suppresses all human understanding, will guard your heart and mind in Messiah Jesus. That's that's one thing. The second thing is verse eight, then tells us to think about things that are pure and good. In other words, to take your mind off of the constant negative so it could be reading the news every day get you bothered it could be watching certain things get you bothered it could be certain things to your piece's fill your mind with worship with praise with Gothic thoughts memorize Scripture fall asleep just repeating certain key truths from the word and in normal circumstances, barring some deeper stronghold needs to be addressed when you begin to see is the anxiety leaves and peace begins to come when it comes go with it. Don't feel like I'm doing some wrong Alyssa worried I'm doing something wrong, Alyssa. I'm anxious.

No, don't think like that, let that peace begin to rule your heart begin to rule your mind and bring it in confidence to you and in your see that peace really does come, so follow through with this for six Teresa Cassidy is the Lord.

With thanksgiving, and focusing the mind edified driver got some phone lines open rare in a Friday call right now, 866348788 fire, we will file the line of fire with your host Dr. Michael Brown get into the reminder fire now by calling 866-34-TRUTH dear again is Dr. Michael Brown then transferred running us on the line of fire.

Michael live from company weight live from a safety cake of the and that a few times in recent days read look at the screen. All right 866-34-TRUTH the number to call you to get your calls momentarily. If you been following the controversy with Chick-fil-A. I wrote a couple of articles about their capitulation to gay activism and said let's urge them to do the right thing to support Christian organizations and not to capitulate to the whims and the protest of gay activists and Franklin Graham then posted something on Facebook that he had spoken to Dan Kathy directly leads Chick-fil-A the Dan Cathy said we have about that. Anybody. Nothing's changed and are giving our values etc. be great if that were true, but according to everything we know it's not true.

Hence Christian attorney Matt Stever has written say not true.

FRC's Tony Perkins is written saying not true for Gov. Mike Huckabee has spoken out saying not true, of course, have written the same soul.

I would hope that Dan Kathy can sit down with others that they can see what's actually happened that they can address this fix it and do the right thing, 866-34-TRUTH of its go to Louisiana Scott.

Welcome to the line of fire by Dr. Brown. Hey, thank you for everything you do map of reference. A lot of people you when I question that that I can after the thank you for being that boy. I have my joy thing regarding I have a question regarding Roman 14 nine the dead.

Jesus died so that you could be the Lord of the living and the dead and gone out went against what Jesus said. When he told the Bears be that the Lord not… Of the dead, but of the living agile talk of a discrepancy. They're not going if you could just try to speak to that. Oh yeah, I love the question actually. It's kind of the opposite of what you're thinking, because when Jesus rebukes the Sadducees who did not believe in an afterlife and God says on the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob and that's because to God all live to him is not the God of the dead, but of the living.

I think that's the key that they all live to him.

That's what Jesus was refuting there. The idea that the dead are finally dead and that's it aware is here Paul is talking about. He's the God he is the Lord of those who have died in the Lord who of those who are presently alive, the Lord of all those who will ever die because all live to him that that's really what's being said here so it could seem like a contradiction. He's not the God of the debit of book the living. But Paul understands that the dead are also alive to God, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, not past tense that God is the goblet current that he is there God so he is the Lord of the dead. The living because all live to him and he has both died and risen so he is authority over all.

Does that make sense. I know Apple yeah I netbook out are going in on victory.

More clarity yeah and as yet.

The other thing is, even in terms of because he died and he rose so he has authority in both realms because everyone will ultimately rise and and he is the Lord over that he is Lord over death is the Lord of resurrection. So it's kind of a comprehensive statement, but Scott, thank you for the question and am so glad that you send people away that's that's what were here. We are here to be your voice, 866-34-TRUTH this go to Don in Richmond Virginia.

Thanks for calling the line of fire. Our primary door doing very well thank you, my question has to do with Proverbs 30 verse 28 where it mentioned the lizard and some translation face biter experimenting with pallets of which do you think would be the more accurate translation of that yet, so Proverbs chapter 30 verse 28.

The word in question in Hebrew sure mom meet a small meet excuse me this is not a common word that's found.

But it's here it says that that you can grasp this small meet in your hands and yet it's found in the in the palaces of kings is time. I think that the animal world and the. The mystery in the marvel of it so front from the minute it just when you look in the context of some of the answers some of all these other things. But as far as I know I'm not an expert on animal life in Scripture. But as far as I know lizard is is the best is the status of Geico as of looking at one of the most authoritative Hebrew lexicons, it renders it with gecko to suggest that that's the best rendering so I spider to my knowledge would would not be a good rendering and let me just check one of the thing at a curiosity. I'm curious to see you have never really done a study on this particular creature and you know there are only so many things you can devote your life to some sugar so he is a specialist on this unit. They were the doctoral dissertation of yeah I'm looking at most every modern translation, with the exception of maybe new King James following King James says lizard and I didn't really think there was much controversy about yeah and maybe in particular the gecko could be never married no interpreter yet, but getting a so you but wait, wait, when you're when you're looking in the passages about the ants in the locusts and ditto all that they do that they don't have an earthly organizer look at what they accomplish in here you get this lizard grabbing her hand, which also be more likely than grabbing a spider in your hand grabbing a lizard and you can find these outings palaces is just part of the mystery and wonder of nature and God's creation thanks rest and see if you can safely rely on the fact that it is lizard 866342 of let's go to Rolando in Houston, Texas. Welcome to the line of fire. Sure thing I'm really about Olive Garden are like that.

The big yard with grandmother, and we know regarding white yes and on my question of the we be focused more on knowing what we believe fully or partially also try to adhere of another religion are the distance first and foremost is our relationship with God are being grounded in Scripture that's more important than anything else. If we can be biblical apologists, and apologies for for our faith. So that's first and foremost, you don't want to be so expert on what you refuting them and not so expert on what you believe yourself and the greatest way to refute error is to know the truth right so what I've been told is people who study counterfeit bills the way they they learn to to expose them as they are us and to recognize them as they are so expert in recognizing real the real bill that they can install the counterfeit so you always start there. But if you are going to focus on another area. If you're going to focus on Islamic apologetics or Hindu apologetics or apologetics with atheist you you you absolutely need to understand their position. You need to understand what they believe, why they believe it. You need to see things through their eyes that you can feel the weight of it.

In other words, if if you can just kind of trash the objections of atheists like that nothing bum bum bum you're probably knocking to be able to really reach that person's heart because you don't understand what's troubling them. But if you really learn to understand what's troubling them. Why this bothers them so you can kinda see it through their eyes. Then you can much more effectively address it like yes I see that that's a very powerful question here is the answer to it then then it becomes much more effective. So that means there's a certain cost and pain involved in learning.

The other position because you want to learn it so that it you can see why they think it's real because people believe these things because that they believe the real or true, then the better you understand that the more effectively you can refute it's like yes I understand exactly what you're saying. It's this this this and you think it's a strong argument for these reasons correct yes exactly initially what doesn't work then there is really power to it, but you don't want to try to become an expert in everything you want to be focused on the key things you feel the Lord wants you to focus on and that could just be your life experience could be live in a certain area and you run into people all the time, or it could be that online you end up gravitating towards a certain group of people and wherever that is.

That's we want to specialize the most all right yeah part of a prime type of people like the people in question come up against you, dear, to help them out one already known are positive on the photograph sought by the yet absolute you're familiar with. You don't have to look it up and study it each time. Many times people from the objections of the just as I know what I believe unable to address it immediately, but in other in other other cases of the throne objections like okay never heard that when we think about it and here's how to answer. All right, thank you for the call. May God's blessing on you 866-34-TRUTH of its coded Dallas in Holton Kansas welcomes the line of fire around yes I can.

I writing an outline and I struggled with a tear and heroin being hacked away from God and I I've repented and I and I believe in all the rental but I felt it every day struggle and get narrative and if indeed anxiety and followed me everywhere and I was wondering if there that. As where and accurately demonic that just days of the person indefinitely because this is going on probably two years. It started with kind of getting into Calvinistic doctrine and believing that I could be a reprobate nothing I did mattered that my question yes employment sat and I'm so sorry to hear that you been going through that and I understand how that encounters Calvinism could have had that effect on you.

You do for others that gives a great piece but yeah I can understand that you think will what if I'm not predestined. What if, on the counterfeit convert what I thought I it looks like I'm saving them really not so they could be tormenting another thought is nothing you could do about it so yes, there can be demonic spirits that harass us and we need to get set free from that set and an error in the last thing you doing this repented of this. Stay right there want to finish and have some it's the line of fire with your host activist and author internationals leader and theologian Dr. Michael Brown voice of more cultural and spiritual revolution get into the line of fire now by calling 86643 here again is Dr. Michael Brown showed just like a wreck back Dallas and Kansas first thing is you don't need to be repenting of fighting these fears. It's not like you're consciously sinning against God are trying to do evil. That's the first thing the second thing is the great antidote to this is a revelation of the father's love the recognition of the depth of his love for you that he sent his son Jesus to die for you. And with that fear leads.

First John four says that perfect love casts out fear and with that revelation of the love of God, the fears relief. So the one thing you can do is you can take verses where Jesus says, for example, Matthew 1128 to 30, where Jesus says come to me all you who labor heavily and I'll give you rest or John 316 whoever believes will not perish, or even when you get to the end of the book of Revelation chapter 22 the Spirit and the bride say calm and let whoever hearsay, and whoever is thirsty, let him come. Whoever will that uncommon drink of the water of life freely. See have to say Lord I put my trust in you. Jesus said whoever comes to me I will in no way cast out so use you need to say father I trust you I trust her. I don't care what I think or feel. I trust you give me reassurance because if if you could truly come to the Lord and put your faith in him to save you and asking to save you any cast your weight than the Bible is not true then Jesus really didn't die for you than the gospel is really not the gospel. If you could truly come and see God.

I look to you save me. I look at you as your child. I put my trust in you exit that not you, then that's not the God of the Bible. So you need to absolutely trust him. But if you say it's still not working. My mind is telling you this, but it's still not working. I'm still struggling then that's what I would I would go to the pastor or spiritual elders and said this is what's going on in my life and again two things have to happen that revelation of the father's love and with it the driving out the spirit of fear and with that, you rejoice because God is good and and look Jesus gave promises he's trustworthy. He shed his blood for you.

That's the depth of his love for you any notion will know that didn't include you in the father's love when all you want to do is be his child and be with him forever.

That is not from above. That is not from the word that's a lie either from your own mind or from the devil, but certainly it's it's roots or or below not above sowing Jesus name we come against that. So, again renew your mind to what God has said, take hold of it and with that the repent of the theory can rebuke it, though, and if if you still feel you haven't broken through get get with some folks to pray with you to break the stronghold. God wants you to rejoice in your salvation, and to feel free this where you can minister to others as well. Okay okay alright let us let us know. You can email us and Esther to Brown.org.

Let us know about breakthrough in your life, 86634 let's go to Los Angeles and welcome to the line of fire and I'm glad you're in California yeah that You hear from God that you need to move to California on, agree okay thank you I'm here recently posted a short video about Christian and it sounded like you were saying that Abbott is only a lot for the Jewish people, but it was made for man, mankind can be cut up in the list with thou shalt not kill. Isn't the habit for everyone and can you clarify that, yeah, thank you for asking. Number one when he said made for man, not master the 70s wasn't about me for all human beings on the planet because that was that was not in the context of yet that same saying in ancient rabbinic literature as well. In other words, it's the Sabbath was made for people's good people were made for the Sabbath's good, and the only ones were God is made a covenant regarding the Sabbath with the Jewish people and even of the 10 Commandments are were given a special way. That's part of the Sinai covenant and went on under the Sinai covenant. So the question is what is spoken explicitly in the New Testament is member rendering new and better covenant could be that the Sabbath commandment is now fulfilled in the rest that we we find in the Messiah. If you look at the end of Matthew 11 going to Matthew 12, you can easily make that argument, but I have zero problem whatsoever with Christian saying that the seventh day Sabbath is still something that God commands and they feel that they're supposed to keep it. I see no New Testament support that the Sabbath was changed to Sunday and that there's a command that Christians observe this Sunday as the Sabbath, but if they do, as unto the Lord every day of rest.

I don't believe it's displeasing to the Lord. I do know in Colossians 2 that Paul gives a strong warning to the Gentile believers there not to let anyone put them under pressure to observe the Sabbath pieces that is only the shadow the substances found in the Messiah. So that's my emphasis. The substances found in Jesus. Yeshua that's our emphasis and as to a specific day being set aside, I believe that's part of what Paul deals with Romans 14 because he had Jewish and Gentile believers together in Rome and for some every day was wholly the same way and for others. One day was particularly holy, and he just said you each live in a way between you and God. Where were you are at peace with the Lord. I can't bring him and we need real priming break and now like something important. I'm not paying like what day of the week, but since the importance thing is if you live let's say you lived in the ancient Roman world. You didn't have a seven-day work cycle with the seventh day off you have different work cycles and yes what physical rest is very important and stepping away from the business of life is very important and getting renewed in the Lord during the time is very important as well. It's just not a command, as I see it for everyone.

But here we could have debated difference.

Obviously within the body.

So keep studying it and think about and praying about the thank you for the call in the invitation to California appreciated 866-34-TRUTH. Let's go to Timothy in Peoria, Illinois. Welcome to the line of fire.

Dr. Brown called on Wednesday and I think the iPhone or problems or something, but I bought it interesting that you went to bring about to, and baptismal regeneration. You went to infant baptism.

I was curious as to why like I know you pointed to the idea that there is no accident or infant being baptized believe and repent, but I think it kind of battered work of the nonbeliever to do those things which time Brett Scripture. I think talk about how God actually grant repent and that they have to do the repenting. Yes also not number one. We are yet and am not sure how you got back on this distant and Eric is folks not allowed to call within a few weeks, times, we can refer to other callers, but I do remember speaking drug is your phone cut out that's a week we got your back on. The reason I initially talk on infant baptism. When you call was because you reference Lutheranism and babies to be baptized in Lutheranism so that's why first went to infant baptism and said that a citizen scriptural. Secondly, regarding what we do. Yes, we do it. God grants it, but we do it. God grants repents, but we have to repent what you think God says repent and be baptized weed.

We also get involved with the act of baptism. Yes yes so someone gets down in the water and get that that actually happens. So repent and be baptized, believe and be baptized, and as we said there is there is evidence in Scripture for several acts. The 10th chapter were Cornelius and his household believe in their filled with the spirit by God, so that means they are born again filled the spirit of the spirit was was the the gift right next to 39.

After the call repent to baptize you receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. So the gift of the Holy Spirit follows forgiveness of sins right next to 38 repent and be baptized every one of you knew Jesus for forgiveness of sins you receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. So Cornelius and those with him receive the gift of the Holy Spirit and they speak in tongues and after that there baptized so baptize out Drs. Marcy does not regenerate you. Otherwise, how were they saved before their regenerated Howard, how are they born again before their regenerated how are they filled with the Scripture for the regenerate note doesn't work like that. Hate listen friends, we are out of time.
