Days away from Wake Forest facing the Clemson Tigers got a couple tickets to giveaway later in the show right now. A lot to get to with the director of athletics John Curry joins the show now, let's start with tickets. I heard you say a couple days ago there were still a thousand tickets available for this game and that surprised me. Have those tickets been sold yet always thought Phil.Beauregard great demand a new game great challenges for some people that help obligate your family youth soccer lowly football stuff like that but what is gonna be perfect got ABC television and were really excited to have a great day of truth field. My brothers never been to a game to his fields on tickets for him. He's heading down in your right about the weather.

Goodness high of 75 low of 57.

As of right now. Clear skies John Curry with this year. A lot of people thought there was a chance college game they could be here for this game were you in touch with them. We were in and I was there.

We knew we were one of the report games that they work during. There were a couple different factors that had to happen, but there was a little excitement about it.

We had a great plan ready to go that our staff had had developed were really excited about the potential opportunity but you know will be back. Birds keep doing our part last week, Wake Forest 37, 36 winners against liberty. The day before that you announced in the from the quad newsletter that the home and home future series of liberty was going to be canceled.

Why the cancellation was there a lot of different factors in scheduling and keep in mind that the liberty series with really six or eight years ago now in effect. Again, reported last week, it was both the plate many years ago and got deferred a couple times together request actually as we look into the future. Both their conference realignment there, moving from being an independent CompUSA and our needs. It just became in the interest of both schools to two to end the series at that one game.

We also want to continue to prioritize .0 game to truly feel what you got this incredible transpersonal Caroline and a really nice pattern of great crowds and experiences in a lot of fun.

We want to we want to have at least six and hopefully seven home games each year.

So, all things considered is right thing to do and will continue work on figuring out how to build out that schedule didn't surprise me when I saw the headline because we had at PD Doug Dillon on the show last week and he said you and him had been in touch talking about some dates and maybe something could happen soon between the mountaineers and the Demon deacons. He was obviously excited to potentially make up that game from 2020 in Winston-Salem and you're talking about adding home games to the slate.

How close are you and Doug to making that 2025 day a reality at state going to Wake Forest.

I don't have any update on that now. I'd heard her text messages and conduct a longtime friend and colleague got a great job in Boone with Appalachian State providing leadership, there the game that we, the next thing we need to change isn't DR schedule is indeed the 2020 game which we did not play due to COBIT and that's a game that is currently owed in the series. So, I believe Wake Forest played Appalachian 2008, Peter 2072 that 20 game didn't get played as of the current game from last week went so we could we do have an opening 2025. The ego center that is on the table but we have not revisited since last week about simply because he was get ready for all his stuff on their get ready to host a sold-out crowd of liberty.

Here structure at some point will will be back connected in and continue trying to figure how to get that game.you mentioned in the newsletter want to be a return trip up the mountain. The following year because he already got a couple of road games book 2026 but when that announcement comes whenever it is that you're getting that remake back on the schedule. Do you anticipate like Doug does, it's going to be at an announcement of three games which includes one game up the mountain and I don't like Shirley certainly want to try to figure how to get that done over time. One of the things that we don this is we do have a number of road games Google fiber game scheduled and we have power fiber game scheduled and so like we got a gear we go to Georgia state a year ago to you, your go to Carolina and they should mostly draw coming here as well and will schedule some those games a number of years ago in Appalachia for one of those years. At that time so dirt there some years will we simply can't go because we already have a road game either P5 or G5) so it's a bit of a puzzle will see what continues to transpire as you see realignment to at least choosing to go to nine games rate games or whatever all the sex factor to the puzzle varies with the seer, Wake Forest A.D. Also, Wake Forest alum somebody who grew up in the state of North Carolina, which I think is relevant to something that you were talking about a couple days ago and everybody around years been talking about the ACC headquarters moving from Greensboro to Charlotte by which is supposed to happen. By the start of the next academic year. Does it bother you at all. That headquarters are moving very nostalgia was saying, staring the way they always are your things. Thanks, stating the way they've always been right, which I certainly not why I have some of that you not talk about before I alluded to in the introduction to the comment and I grew up in North Carolina and not nontobacco rodent. The time that I grew up was a time when you are really lucky. If you have a really cool fourth-grade teacher who will be cartridge or classroom on Friday determining you watch the ACC tournament lock Greensboro Hotel on Friday in your classroom with the rest your elementary school chum so that that Greensboro feel nostalgia is really poor, she gets a important community to Wake Forest in the Triad and Carolina court almost anything so it's sad. On the other hand, I believe that this conference you know now you know the covers was found nothing for state North Carolina maybe just three actually think Virginia was it was a secondary habit, North Carolina, South Carolina with the state to the conference right now. This conference is 15 schools in 10 states.

So the fact that we kept it in North Carolina and continue to anchor the conference in the geographical earliest emotional center of the conference here. North Carolina is… Ultimately the most important thing lesson for you on that note, Wheatley Saul, that with the headquarters the move.

The decision was unanimous among university presidents tells me Charlotte had an impressive package that they put forth. We know because Mayor Bonds told us on the show from Greensboro private plane was provided no affordable housing closer to downtown that they wanted to move away from grand over could you provide an example of something that Charlotte offered that maybe Greensboro can match that would make it make more sense to a lot of the people here locally well to your point. Grandpa Greensboro phenomenal and the feel of the AC tournament in Greensboro. The feel of orders that's really a convenience grant of all those things are are are winners and I do believe that Greensboro literally did every thing it could possibly do you know we do stuff here Wake Forest or some stuff we don't control we do the best we can at what we can control in battle, we focus on, and I greatly Greensboro has done that are in this process and I'm sure that there will continue to be Greensboro, Greensboro continue tosee possible tournament from time to time, etc. John Kerry anything else to add the defense and no trying to get into the stadium. Watch the deep space the Tiger Saturday will work with the Tiger tonight at 8 o'clock it brought stadium soccer is great game.

8 o'clock get there early so that gigs will have a lot of fun that cable networks you can watch that on the linear channel tonight in the we've got to love the sport and asked the bar feel like going out to play Carolina volleyball head down the plate. Georgia Tech got a huge soccer game on Saturday night as our number one demon deacons will begin in Clemson to play a continent soccer 7 o'clock on Saturday night. But in terms of the football game. We do encourage people to get there early. Remember that word. A moment in time where the number of people who are coming to football games at Wake Forest. I decided ever been a number of people who are using their tickets you know that yields if you will, is hard.

I believe we really upgraded everything around the stadium whether he can walk, which happens it will happen Saturday morning at 930 great thing to come and bring your kids to see our team as they get off the bus and prayed in the stadium and then it at noon. You know, sometimes morning games are a little bit harder on traffic because everybody is coming in a more contained window so just remember that leave little bit earlier and let's get in there when those ABC television cameras come on showcasing the Winston-Salem tribe community. Let's have a full out contrary appreciate the time of the ceiling Saturday for Saturday Josh go deep
