Welcome to the Christian Car Guy radio show.

The cop showed dedicated to helping Christians buy and sell cars by the book blue book. Now the orange book, but by God's book, the Bible called the Christie car guy with your questions. 1866 34 truth. That's one 866-34-TRUTH 7884.

What does being a Christian have to do with buying a car you're about to find out.

Here's your host Ronnie Gilmore pharmacy farms umbrella from happy days will instruct you that in order in order to succeed in life.

A very necessary ingredient is to be cool well. Interestingly, your cars health requires that as well. In fact, is according to some, the number one cause of roadside breaks that breakdowns not breakdancing but roadside breakdowns are which could lead to a breakdance related issues which are hoses radiators head gasket water pump thermostat and heater core, yes you have to stay cool.

You have to not be frozen though you can't be too cool.

So here to help us out this morning we have our very own Tom slick Tom Johnson with JG service are you in the thunderbolt race flapper this morning. I just love that theme anyway.

This is this is the time you hear a lot of people think wow I need to check that coolant level. We got it we got to do that, work with the interesting thing is, there's this big monster which I've done a great job of illustrating a Christian Car Guy.com. By the way, it's the acid monster that could be stocking your radiator nor can we talk about that today, but also, since we have Tom. He is our oil expert so if you've got that transmission fluid issue or coolant concern. Or it may be always wondered wanted to know what does the 5W-30 mean they get sticker when it gets hot or is it thinner when it's cool. Now is a great time for you to call because we have Tom slick he's our oil guy 866-348-7884 866-34-TRUTH were talking coolant today. How to be cool and how to stay cool and out and not freeze but not overheat all that kind of stuff and then at the bottom of the hour. We have transporters for Christ to get here with us again. We I do know if you see me think of rolling chapels that are out there do seem on the highway from time to time we have had a greater he's gonna be here. He's a chapel with transporters for Christ and his men join us at the bottom the hour, then coming up at the end of the show and are praised by the real black book. That's where we search the Bible for hidden treasure crown for the sermon lift up our voice for understanding. Well this week. My mother had moved. Well, she moved to Illinois I don't know that you'd say she had to move, but she did move so she could be under the care of my sister and she's struggling with cancer and some other issues and as she went to leave her cat ran away, which really really really upset me that upset her to shake it. She's moving Illinois and she moved away from her friends moving away from his people and I'm like really God I everyone at the gym are going to that whining mode with God. Sometimes Tom gone really, I mean isn't is my mom face enough and now she's got a loser On the and so I was whining, big time Monday night laying in bed at 2 o'clock Plano my mom and that whole issue with her move and Jesus showed up with a very interesting not just interesting, very comforting message for me and I want to share that with y'all. And that's coming up in the show in our appraisal by the real black book. Look forward to that on Robbie Gilmore, the Christian car guy 35 years in retail automobile business, but more importantly your brother in Christ Christian Kardashian was changing the way people look at their cars.

They need to be paid for no debt watching people buy cars for 35 years going into huge debt slavery is a heartbreaker, so that's probably the reason God called me to do the show because I understand, as Tom does, that cars need tender loving care and they need a name like old red if you think about it. You see tractors they been on the elements since the 1940s there still running, or why do you think well they change the oil, then they Tom and MA maintain them in a car last as long as those tractors will if you take care of it as fact. I'm thinking that they're going to bury me an old red.

I'm hoping they need to be driven safely if you can I get old red to make it to the finish line so you gotta do stuff like not speed and follow Jesus right and he would be speeding its estimated Americans waste 200 million gallons of gas a week on speeding so you know that something that's a big challenge so we hear the Christian Car Guy show organ be talking about that every week of your nose at time II every man, every week I mentioned the analogy, if we wouldn't speed with our country, we wouldn't have an oil shortage know that that's correct when you think of a population just 5 miles an hour. Overall, yes it's all in is all it would take, they would be choking on their oil if we didn't is American speech.

We talked about that, but again today.

We are live with their very own Tom slick so if you have that oil concern or you want to know about your coolant working to be get into that in just a minute here. It's a great time to call us 866-34-TRUTH 87884, maybe always wondered what does viscosity mean what we have.

Like Mr. viscosity himself. In fact, he can give you a whole viscosity interrogatory Amini got off words or maybe you just want to know about your slickness thickness 866-34-TRUTH 87884 is a number to call this morning.

Of course you can find out all this information at our website Christian card.

I.com there you got links to get your oil checked out your coolant audit, stuff and you can see that beautiful acid monster that I found this morning to depose their sequencing at that picture looks like what might be lurking in your radiator and as always there's a Jesus labor law free car repair for single moms widows families in crisis. That is the labor not the parts, but all the resources they are, how you can request help and all those things there.

All it Christian Car Guy.com as well as many many many many other articles. All our links Facebook twitter all that kind of stuff so we would love to hear from you, but we gotta talk coolant the small we gotta be cool Tom, you know, Fonzie would say be cool and be cool. You gotta flush that radiator because that those things I know that GE is another word for going acidic.

You don't you eat, what sort of geology. Well, it oxidizes oxidizes that's so with word meaning that it combines with oxygen. It combines with oxygen and starts to turn into the enemy. It's eating away at your water pump seal is eating away at your different components allow electrolysis all sorts of stuff like that. But the good news we got Philip and Louisville already has a question for you. Stop leak for radiator failure on the Christian car guy show good morning what you got for us.

Well, I've got older and Ford Ranger and will radiator and lose a little bit and freeze a regular basis may not stop leak be a good thing to do or should I look at any rate, you know I don't have a lot of stop leak. I know a lot of folks use that key. I don't know. I think I think this shop have been checked.

Check pressure on it and see if I can find a leak unite in the long term, I think you might be a better off doing that rather than putting a stop leak in the system I committee research that get you better answer some of the issues that I would think about Scylla is as Tom said the first thing is, the leak may not have anything to do the radiator and so you put the stuff in there that my not doing any good. So depressed pressure tested is always a good idea, and in pretty easy and expensive thing to do, but also the thing about a lot of the stuff and they make some stuff that you can put in the radiator that is supposed to fill in the hole and all that.

My concern is always been wow what if that an older car like that.

There is already some corrosion or some minute it's already got sore like congested arteries and letting your water jackets also need a little bit too much of the old left that that block sauce on the water this post. Go through the engine and older car like that, that would concern me more so than in again radiators. Sometimes a real inexpensive quite often.

It will surely begin to dispatch him and and and you can see where things may be happening, and quite often it's at the water pump on them because those front fields leak all the time but thank you for your call filled out but help. Thanks all right, what's your coolant concern this morning.

866-34-TRUTH 87884. We love to take your call 86634 truth for the visually gifted those who can, but I can't do that, Tom. But II know people that can they can and will all the smart phones. They just don't have the letters like these two but we'd love to hear from you. We are gonna be talking about what you what is it with all these different kinds of coolant. What I need to know what my world is ethylene glycol in will it really kill my pets. Yes, it will anyway where to me talk a good little may come back you call us 866-34-TRUTH 87884 show all is is your radiator crying out for little change. I couldn't help I couldn't resist Tom. It was just laying there now is your radiator crying for help. This morning 866-34-TRUTH 87884 is the number to call in with your coolant concern with your viscosity questions got Tom's link with is the day, but this all this whole issue of coolant is really it's it's become a little bit more complicated over the years, just like it used to be simple. Ethylene glycol was the stuff in and then all of a sudden boy General Motors got in there with you know their new GM long living lasting. You can keep it for five years antifreeze kind of stuff and so it did that it is comedy up the waters. How long this regular antifreeze last Tom typically a year and we recommend you start coolant testing kit to test it once again assured okay system no what we find wrong is that people tend to not losing coolant like the guy that called in a leak in his radiator try to find will stop leak or stop anyway when you get a link like that is low and log people attempt to just stick the hose and R mean I used to do that anything that's what we did back then. But anytime you introduce water and anybody but all over and above what should be there, which is not then you throw up the boiling point freezing point you delete the additives in that you may be also introducing a lot of minerals which could mess up your system as well. I mean I contributes to corrosion and makes the dispersants have to work are try to float those things around the anytime yachting source water that's usually a bad deal.

You really want to run a 50-50 mix. That's why you should probably check it on a yearly basis and maybe it may be in a car you want to conventional coolant may be a better option and the other thing is that if you keep that the nice thing is technology how wonderful it left was exactly 50-50 for his commitment comedy one time got stuck about 50 50-50 night how you get the other 50.

But anyway, they may ready mix now so you can buy a gallon of ready mix soon after one or should I put in pure antifreeze or should I put in have water you know you can just get the 50-50 stuff. If you run a little bit low and you can put that in there and then as you mention those minerals. They bake trade. Another issue that's called electrolysis that you know that electricity there's a lot of electricity that runs around inside an engine. A lot of people may not be aware of and that electrolysis can really cause some phenomenal damage inside of it and so those are all things and a lot of folks think a lot, you know, I don't remember the last time I checked change my coolant well again when you hear that coolant is a number one cause of roadside breakdowns. The reason is is because the cooling effects always different components, water pump, of course, a big one. If your additives aren't in there to help that the water pump seals. They were supposed to be the water pumps, start leaking and log people you want to keep going through water pumps. Well, that's an issue there the thermostats.

Another thing those hoses.

They carry the water but the radiator itself. Obviously is an expensive component. Not terribly expensive. In some cases, but it gets eaten by that acid quite often in the time yeah just like like it touches everything.

If you're just changing not checking on a periodic basis what so you have a five-year coolant which a lot of people running today, not what we would call an extended life coolant versus an unaltered ethylene glycol conventional longer-term coolant want to check it once a year and even when you flush it to catch some of the old stock and see what's going on inside me where going on copper wire, things like that, you just like oil stuff away.

Get your own data as well. Right in the newer coolants they are not ethylene glycol hot water. They made glycol different kind of technology which is organic acid technology and they tend to hold onto the additives better than he older conventional coolant in the snow, which is also organic acid technology nitride. It nitride and organic acid technology notes Tom because I you lost me somewhere out there in the my trades but nonetheless I know I got the big picture that it's five years that that that that that hospital has that life on that. So it's good to know. And this is one of those things. It seems like a really simple pajama owners manual or if you don't have an owners manual, it's really easy to get an owners manual. In fact, a lot of cases you can get one for free is right to manufacture of your target owners manual.

It'll tell you what kind of coolant your car supposed to have because it's a critical issue. Do I you need this long-lasting time will my car stand up to that.

It's like it's coming right there in your owners manual and in again that owners manual help you in so many different ways, not just on coolant right it it it gives you the oils and all is busy as an engineer, Tom. You know how important it is. You put the right fluids and fluid are just as important as practice probably more important because it touches everything same for oils single right so that's the nice thing about your owners manual is it gives you the specifications of the transmission fluid and are not met the big expensive $40 maintenance manual or they may be hundred and $40 mail. I'm talking about the regular little owners manual that comes in the glove box and if you bought the car and it didn't come with one. It is so easy to just call the dealer Nissan, Honda, whoever and asked him to order you that owners manual because it's just an invaluable thing to have because it it it provides all that information and you don't when you want to go to when you know the parts store you want to get the wrong stuff. Is there a concern. Tom for somebody's car that was designed and you may not know the answer to this but if for some of his car. It was designed for regular oh antifreeze and they put the long living antifreeze in the told yearly fee expert: expert docket that I wouldn't want to say on the radio that it's okay to switch so I don't know that I will find out that's okay there so many things I don't know. You can ask my wife.

She would tell you is the list goes on. So we come back we have painful transporters for Kreisberg and get an update on what they're doing binder cinematographer outcome around Washington DC may remember my final bid about that when we come back we find out what those mobile chapels so stating we got a lot more fishing part. I know if you got that question 866-34-TRUTH and dream in the morning is made a couple years, if not in your check back today with our good friend and engineer Tom slick who knows a great deal about oil and the good news is we got Dan in Louisville who has a question for us Tom about oil then you're on? I show good morning good morning what is your questioning 30 heard that they start with really can wait and build up and effectively. 38. Yes, that's exactly right. The W. Interestingly enough, doesn't mean weight means winter and felt the way things are formulated. If you have a 10W-30 startup of the 10 weight oil, as you suggest, and that's defined against me in the way that's defined. If you looked up called SAE which is Society of automotive engineers standard J 300 and it defines what the Scott Solano out should be at cold temperature start temperatures and so you can look up 10 Debian it'll tell you what it's supposed to be, we won't get into that your startup of the 10 Debian memory and what are called the improver molecules in these things are gigantic pieces of plastic very high highly polymers but there added because when it gets to operating temperature.

Molecules actually swell and then make it look like in 30. Noel so then it becomes a 30 at operating temperature. But over time those molecules get caught up in it eventually will go back to be in the 10 weight and you can see that appear doing oil analysis.

You can see, discuss two drops over time, and I thought that that happens every time that the natural thing that happened the minute interval.

I get start to stick with the recommended service intervals that leave you better check it periodically with oil analysis right alright well service up and not basically pay an eight-year-old hundred 25,000 mile car and it'll say that I have W 30 and there and I felt unwell about it and your clearances are opened up, unable to use a 10W-30 will certainly find you. None of the universal grade and the car companies want that because they sell cars in Canada and a lot colder up there and you need a 5W in the wintertime and a lot of people you know I don't change the oil that that's kind of best costume to get you did a whole year, summer and winter so use 530. I never used by W. Gary Royce just 10W-30 so you're doing the right thing. They don't need to find the right even if the car doesn't matter, they should be using 10 W because they going to get overall better viscosity either at startup and also at operating 35 to 30 you have more of that. Discuss the improver molecules of them so they'll share down or change or looseness constantly that a little bit faster rate. Also so you have 30 now obviously we have some listings about their Canada, Alaska, in most places may still probably stick with the 5W in the winter they will get yet if your eye if you are ugly in Indiana or anywhere south of that I'm in Indiana but very close out your you're good with attended. I saw some damn great question that anyway that up for a lot of folks polymers where where where understanding of some of plastic day, message website, we have an RV page. We have a lot of body oil analysis and on that page is a set of slides of the class I teach. If you go in there and look at that slideshow it actually is a picture of the molecules meet by gears and things like that where there are very high pressures and that's what happens. Not what makes them out of great stuff Tom appreciated very much and we got our friend Hank reader writer excuse me a Hank transported Christ it's great to have you on with us today, and I know a lot of folks they've seen these transporters for Kreisberg trucks driving down the road. What are those Hank mobile chapels re-transport Christ greatly about capitals that are part of Nutley and truckstop administered truck drivers were delivered and we have a couple mobile Old guy got down the highway, but basically our capitals are part truckstop parking lot permanently. We have 31 in the US right now that are part permanently in a couple more on land or go online here in the US and then we have six in Canada and two in Russia and one in Africa will that one in Africa is not on not upright) stop building yet and a border crossing Darien and not in Africa so we have them have a model so the cool thing and I know the transported Christ is to have one of those within range of any trucker who wants to attend the service yet. Our goal is to have have chapels a day's drive apart, which would be from 5 to 600 miles. If you're here in Knoxville Tennessee where I met today and drive with our goal is to have that you can go north, south, east or west and now it at the end of the day hundred miles you be at another capital that the heartbeat and go listen today you might be a truck route.

If you died today.

I've got a great big picture transport for Christ. If you click on that. It will show you all the different places they currently have them. If you're trying to find one that's close to you now. You just do services on Sunday or what how often or how does that work here at the Knoxville Chapel where you we have an 8 o'clock Sunday morning service at 11 o'clock Sunday morning and then 6 o'clock Sunday evening.

We have a Wednesday night service and then we have a Outlook where here right now here at this Older, we have someone here 24 hours a day five days a week and then eight hours a day. The other two days till we are open any anytime for Bible study or you just get together to fellowship. We have people come in at all hours of the night to o'clock in the morning at 11 o'clock at night. Your drivers don't have a have a 8 to 4 scheduled Thursday made their day may start at 1 o'clock in the morning so we our gyrus to be here for whenever a driver someone to talk to a wonderful ministry and you guys are also connected with truckers against trafficking in the yester week we've been in debt with them from from there there beginning we really work with them and that's one of the things that you change your truckstop Avenue. I have a large problem with the Constitution, drugs and all that but when the chapel moved into a truckstop witness at that the testimony of the owners and that it that they see a decrease in all of this… I'm of the salt and light comes in the truckstop. It's so hard for the pimps to just drive by the big chaplain think that I don't need the that's it. That's a wonderful thing. I hadn't thought about that is really cool so and and how many of mobile chapels you have and truckstop where we have 31 here in the US that are already part and we got a couple more that are archived all land Eklund in Texas and one in Louisiana but we have 31 here now and going to 32 and wait we have to stick in Canada and then do you have time chaplains at each of those 31 wait. We are what we have a full-time missionary chaplain for each HR that's our goal sometime one will retire get shaker, Hanover will go up. Time that we maybe don't have a full-time missionary chaplain.

There, but then then we we have volunteers come on board and in and help us to expand our our time of operation will Hank I know you're out there every day with these truckers and some that our listeners could be praying for that you feel like it's on the hearts a lot of folks out there that we should be aware of that maybe were not aware of that we could be praying for to help these guys is ecology. Basically drivers are away from home, two, three, four weeks at a time and just being away from their family day date. It's a very lonely stressful job. Some people might think that you know they just set up an update cabin ride all day, but but that the video date they have. When you drive down the highway.

We basically guess they're concerned about the state police what I have to worry about the state police for county Mounties, DLT inspectors, the scale they the ship further consummate all of these different people and their their dispatchers have all these people that they have to be aware of and concerned about so it is a very stressful job or deep dive and not you have drivers coming here that are just to make the statement I'm fed up. I can't take it no more is just such a hassle. It is no there there just sit there with the end but then you're able to play with almond and talk settlement and the Lord seemed to quiet your heart but wonderful ministry time just excited to hear what you guys are doing out there again. It's called transport for Christ Pamela website. The links for all their Christian car guy.com.

It's wonderful to know how to pray and support you guys and I know from talking a lot of truck drivers of the one thing that absolutely drives them crazy is when you: you know, when you pass in, which is understandable given plenty of room. Don't be born right in front of them. MRI tank that drives him crazy.

Well that that all whalers have a say that they'll have to big truck and no get in front of him and slow down or are they'll get dealt cutting study in real close to and and put on the bright something and I talked to a nurse one day at the VA that should she used to play tag with truck drivers that out on the Interstate 81 in Virginia until she she went quicker, her boyfriend on the truck for a weekend. She realized that those big trucks take shop. What now are sometimes going up the mountain. I can stop a lot quicker than your car so that's why you drive too close to the back of the truck as they can start out going up a lot faster. You cannot yeah will God bless you Hank I really really really appreciate what you're doing and your ministry out there.

Keep up the good work buddy. God bless you, thank you very much alright well it's time to move to our appraisal by the real black but that's where we search the Bible for an and if you ever wonder where I came up with that in the in the car business.

They use orange books. He is blue book but there most of the dealerships I've worked in they use the black book so I thought well you know we going to do an appraisal by the real black book and if you looked in my truck right now.

You see, my Bible is black so that's the black book.

I'm talking about. So are praised by the real black Bundeswehr we search the Bible for hidden treasure. Cry out for discernment, lift up our voice for understanding as I mentioned, this week the course. I was trying to be cool.

I'm trying to stay cool along my theme of all that stuff and then my mother went lost her cat and I went into wine mode of just really.

My mother was struggling right now with bone cancer and she was moving so that my sister could take care of her. She's moving from Tennessee not far from our friend Hank. There up to Rushville, Illinois and her cat runs away and it just broke my heart because I know how much my mother love that cat and and I was just wine, and in the middle of night 130 God really really is this what you got from my poor mother in all this is going on and everyone swallow in and I'm so thankful for this Jesus shows up when you're in prayer and he showed up for me Monday night and I want to share what he shared with me when we come back stated so I know what you're saying Rob you left this what Jesus showed up in that prayer for me Monday night.

What Jesus well he actually showed me this picture. It started out with his picture in the and I think Jesus just knows I like the that was a picture of a piece of paper coming out of my heart and it was all wet and then he said Psalm 2510 and you may think I know something about the Bible, but I had no clue what Psalm 2510 minute I thought really. Psalm 2510 I don't know what Psalm 2510 is so I had no choice but to I was praying in bed it was 230 the morning.

I had no choice but to go downstairs, get out my Bible and open up to Psalm 2510. If you're just tuning in and you didn't have the beginning of this. I was very very upset about my mother's illness and about moving to Illinois and then this cat got gone and it was just my heart was broken over all these things and so I get down there and Psalm 2510 now when I first read it I was like really.

But as I started to put together what Jesus was telling me it became significant. It says in the NIV version which is what I was reading the Monday morning all the ways of the Lord are loving and faithful toward those who keep the demands of his covenant now for the last two or three weeks. I know you guys have heard me talk about something that that George McDonald taught about my heart and in the how God's talent. He starts out with love. With so many human emotions. But when you mix love and faith you get hope and see that picture is just been in my mind for weeks and so God was like showing up for me in this moment saying Rob you see here all my ways are loving and faithful. What is loving and the faithful in Robbie's world based on George McDonald's explicit explanation of love and faith equals hope you see by mixing those together all the sudden I was all there is hope because I know my mother she she's one of those people who keep the demands of your company and all those kind of things and so this almost became like a Romans 828 verse for me and the more I thought about it all weekend all week. Actually, the more it got on my heart.

And that piece of paper. Remember I told that piece of paper see that was a blank piece of paper I did know what Psalm 2510 but Jesus was going right that Psalm 2510 on my heart and and in all the ways the Lord are what they are loving and faithful for those who write keep the demands of his government and an image that's been written on my heart all week I realized why it was went right in here comes the I love the I and in Jesus knew this when he gave it to me that right whales of living water to spring out of your heart and it's gonna refresh other people. Now I'm just guessing for somebody out there today. They were refreshed by the story see the well that what that came out of this piece of paper in the water and it was wet and all that stuff you see for me it refresh me and I felt better about my mother immediately because I realize God was just saying Robbie I got this I got your mom well you got another back story, I called my mom the next day she was so elated.

You know why the cat showed well it was breaking my heart but the Seam.

My mother stayed at my brothers house while she was going to Illinois in the cat escape out of my brothers house and gone into the bushes and they couldn't find them and they weren't in a home setting over the cat would show up with the cat shows up at my nieces house who lives obviously next to my brother who was his daughter and I thought really, how cool. God give you the cat's name by the way were very original names in the Delmar family Kitty Kitty so you're thinking Tom how cool is this. Psalm 2510 you never to forget it again are well if you're in the middle that I placed it. It's it really gave me some and and III shared that was several people this week already and it is so well of water that is come out of my soul's line thankful for this and thankful that I know that when I'm really crying out even when I'm whining. He'll show up and give me something really precious like that. I hope you guys listen for the shepherd's voice is weak certainly want to thank you Tom for being on I know more about viscosity than I've ever known before. I got you all okay good as you pause my word that's good that's good. Tom made them for my next show. There's no doubt about it all right well remember you can go to Christian car guy.com you can listen to podcast. If you can get here all this. This is common earlier you can find out about the Jesus labor lovely car repair for single moms and widows, remember Psalm 2510 this week.

All the ways of the Lord are loving and faithful toward those who keep the demands his covenant
