Welcome to the Kristen card I radio show. The cop show dedicated to helping Christians buy and sell cars by the book the blue book knobby orange book, but by God's book, the Bible called the Christie car guy with your questions. 186634218663487884 is being a Christian have to do with buying a car you're about to find out. Here's your host Robbie Gilmore God won't let your shoes wear out in the desert. If you're headed for the promised land. What you think about that statement well and I was first called to do this radio show years ago I was Chrysler dealer in Marksville North Carolina probably place you never heard of but God told me to get on the radio and talk about what was breaking my heart every day and what was breaking my heart was watching people trade perfectly good cars and going in the phenomenal dad in order to keep up their image or to get the next gadget or the fear that now my cars. I want you to get a nickel and dime you to death, and at the same time that was going on back in the service department funds for paying crazy amounts of money for their lack of diligence and caring for their cars or not understanding when a red warning light is flashing. It means all over the media leave and don't just keep driving, so most every week since then in some way. I have tried to convey the thought that cars need to be paid for.

They need to have no debt and that cars need tender loving care and they need a name like old red my truck and I coined the phrase, which I still think it just speaks to the whole issue. Think about it. If you see old tractors they been out element since the 1940s and their still running. Why do you think well the truth is if you maintain a car. It will long last as long as you do now when you think about this whole cause and that is what about this because I was reflecting on the 37th Psalm this week and when you read it.

This is a kind of a neat translation. I like it is the complete Jewish Bible and it reads like this, commit your way to add nine trust in him and he will act. He will make your vindication shine forth like the light in the justice of your cause like the noonday sun. So on today show. I would love to hear from those of you who believe and live this cost because of driving your car and drive your car, not just trading it for the next gadget to change her image, call us and tell us about your vehicle would like to know the age of it you know if you've name of the course always love that how many miles on it maybe got something even with more miles on that old red is 366. But how is God made the justice of your cause like the noonday sun and when you got that cars did not there. I see Bob's suburban it's shining like the noonday sun out there, or maybe a somebody with the Sunbird. Now there you guys only call me at 866348788486634 truth. If you digitally gifted and you can do that. A friend I knew years ago, drove his vehicle far beyond anybody. I knew at the time and he would sometimes go to hundred and 50,000 or more miles and he would always tell me he said God won't let your shoes wear out as long as you're in the desert.

In it, and then he was in a bad place financially and he said you know I discovered keep driving these cars in God is a little more out because like my shoes are not wearing out of the desert so how has God done that for you. 866-348-7884. It's funny you say that the day because the mother stands tell me that that might be time to buy a new row back the OER with the truck leaves the hall our cars in and I cities only got 354,000 miles on it. It's good there you go. And that's the force of our Christian junkyard Kaibab from one of nine utilities joining us today. And what better person to be on the show with this because he sees the results of people that didn't care for their car right Bob.

The people that didn't pull over when the red light was flashing of the people who thought wow, I won't change my oil for 12,000 miles or the transmission fluid or the timing belt every day, every day. That's that is the number one is that how we get the biggest part of our cars is negligence. We see them in there that shouldn't be it. Send me nowhere near their life span ending in the here they come. So let's good news is they will last forever, but you have to take care of and we got Jared in Seattle, Washington this morning. He's up early. Jared you're on a Christian card I show good morning good morning when you got force all and live transmission, but I can't find any online help and use your pool or mechanic on the list is one transmission due to the fact that the computer is telling. If there's something wrong so it sticks the transmission in second gear will it will allow it to go in the third.

So when you write around your cars revenue way up. I would imagine an scan uncomfortable news on the gas. 30 Dear Dr. would feel like I that's always in second gear so it stuck there because an transmission is sending some kind of a signal to the computer to say hey there's a problem here and I want you to shift as you could harm the transmission internally, but what you got there. Jared is it's a computer issue of some kind of meaning that there could be an electric signal that is there's a short that's sending a false read what is bad since her likely a bad sensor. In most cases, actually a bad speed sensor which are really inexpensive at an had you tried to commit to like you know sometimes Advance Auto Parts or places like that a plug in your car until your code that it might be sending telling you what light flashes that you know it'll tell you general area with no what it is you have to you know I think it seems like in most towns, God has his got an old Volvo guy I used what I think I work for Volvo 90 4Z and 852 40. What I work for Volvo back then and there is in every town. They got down to Bob. They have this this guy and all the worry is in Seattle but working to pray that the Lord will provide us maybe someday calling from Seattle that knows a good old because people at work on those older Volvos understand those codes and quite often. You know like if the if you rent a Dodge Caravan right now. I know it's a speed sensor. There were two of them and it would almost always put a transmission and limp and loaded it was immediate, but I bet there's a Volvo guy there in Seattle that can help you out along those lines working to pray for that and Johnny if you get his contact information.

I will make some contacts as we can Seattle and see if we can find somebody help you Jared. I am calling to baby were both sharing the wonderful and my car that I would drive around it with all yeah I agree wholeheartedly. Click on the family sharing see what we can do for you. Thank God blessed information. Thanks all right we got is it today in Everett, Washington my senior name right yet.

Well, for one brief, shining moment Bob, you've got a 99 accord that share with us what you got. My wife's car way she break fast fight to stop slow down and stop and stop on the night she thought and not happen As a couple of times but she not a cheap one, fast it would happen and nothing will happen.

It's looking good, but way she's slowly stepped on the pedal that are miming now, thanks to turnoff and one time a couple times it stopped. So essentially what you tell me is that when she applies the brakes slowly.

The engine shuts down, shut down and so then she's in the embarrassing situation of being in the intersection or wherever women with the car did losing your power steering in your power brakes and and so those things are challenging to say the least is the check engine light on in the car really it's not setting a code of any kind that you know of but just like I I mentioned to the previous caller.

I would I would take the car to someplace like advance auto or someplace where they can plug in and see if there is a code that it sending because there would be some kind of electrical indication that the car breaking down you know something's happened electrically that would cause it to shut off and will try to help smartphones that we want to hear about your legacy what is God doing to keep your shoes more out the desert when we come back. Stay tuned.

A lot more Christian card – oh, you guys are in why we have all those encouraging those plan today is work, work, reminiscing about our cars and what you know like old red. My car is three and 66,000 miles what is God done for your cause. How was he pulled your car through its life and is still out there shining like the noonday sun.

Like I always say you see tractors they been running out there since the 1940s there still running will chances are if you take care your car it'll last as long as you do and we love free to call in with your story of how your car is like Moses his people shoes. It didn't wear out in the desert. 866-34-TRUTH 87884 866-34-TRUTH or any other needs you may have microphones. We just had from Washington and I should say real quick that there's several articles on my website.com the talk about a couple things number one. How do you find a good mechanic which prayer is a gigantic part of that you can actually make a per question. Your Sunday school class but also quite often those parts stores that you go check out things and or like Bob if you go to to to a wrecking yard to get used parts. Bob you know where the best mechanics are dying because you know the guys you pull apart may go fix the car. We are quite familiar with out of the mechanics sometimes is a little difficult to to suggest somebody because if I suggest mechanics sometimes people want to imply that I'm given a warranty on their work that is weeding out the best one thin and the wanted teacher guide and the ones that are fair to their customers and everything said and it's amazing II was working on the Jesus labor love which is the other thing I want to talk about today free car repair labor for single moms and widows across the country and you know with that if you go to Christian card.

I.com you look at that list of the participants in the Jesus labor level is what these guys have got a heart for single moms widows and families in crisis. Like the other gentlemen I called you know his family needs. The Volvo fix. Or maybe we can reach out to somebody there in Washington and once we put them on the list you go okay these guys here listed.

We know they've got a good heart and finally good mechanic these days with all the electrical stuff and those lights coming on is very frustrating and it's a big part of being able to keep your car long time and we got market in Raleigh to North Carolina who has a story force marking on the Christian card.

Show them on Markey with us.

Well, maybe market. He was on hold for quite a while. He oh, it's these on the other line and there fix a map but as I was mentioned. The Jesus labor love if you go to Christian card.

I.com you see on the menu item. The Jesus labor love. These are the guys that certainly are going to be able to enough their given their labor like that Bob you know that this is going to be somewhat at least somebody who's hearts in the right exactly that as the thugs that they participated that they can't say enough about on the they're not doing it for profit.

They're not doing it better their business. They're doing it because they're hot their hearts with the Lord in the end they want to walk the walk instead of just talking the talk, and we do have marketing Raleigh witness Mark were ready for your story. Are you there are you I'm doing great.

My breakout. We have a privately my wife and I have five Chevrolet equinox that we cared for a few years now that was actually given to it by her grandfather and it is in our life that you know we were in the desert. We had a and followed it add every problem under the sun. You can imagine true lemon and ended up blacking out and leave you gone everywhere, whether anywhere actually can in turn actually given our need here about another two years… That to reciprocate the black thing that God given that is so cool and amazing how he supplies our needs in the desert, Maserati, actually only got 2000 miles 80 grandfather didn't write it very much at all.

They lifted the year ended up moving here and 98 at your nap to be with the Lord is the question. Have you named equinox. I have not okay because you pass along to the next generation. We need to yeah and there's you get a mothers name game thing at my website. You can put in all those qualities and it will spit out a name for you that quite often you know if you have target talk about silicon.thank you Mark God bless you appreciate her. Riley got Carol is in Creekmore North Carolina. Carol you're on the Christian card show. The morning well now it's gone. Amazing and better because you called us and all okay click on it it spells it will signal right client could be as simple as it is a.m. there's a brake light switch which is inexpensive. Are you are you saying that that when you put on the brakes and brake lights on, come on, Karen card 100 and like it was coming out eight. Click click click click like static on a rainy yeah, we've got to go to break Carol but that it sounds like a relay may be doing is obviously an electrical issue and if you will again give your information to Johnny will see if we can get you some help. It sounds like you're not we see if we can come up with some answers for your brake light situation we come back we got gentlemen on the four talk about some new technology management and why I don't like our friend five on the Christian card I show you got to nip it in the buttons different things, especially when your car starts acting up. You can't wait for you can pay me now or pay me later, but we've got Randy free burger with Ford. He's going to tell us about some new technology they have with her trying to nip it in the bud before somebody harms a policeman you're going to be excited to hear about that in a moment but first we got Chuck is been hanging on a long time in Charlotte. He's got a question for Chuck you're on the Christian card – of the morning check in the morning.

That's okay, what's your question on looking for our daughter got blown way only about three hours away and so that they had trouble elected with one another. By looking at you card… Do not sure how to go about it or what my price range. Would you turn the steering no more than 3000 cars and get the interesting thing about this is really can't find those very often a cartilage gives people the deal in those kind cars are the ones that often people often interest so I wrote an article on how to find a car like that it it if you look on the used car to Christian card at, goes into great detail, but essentially I do Monday six is that anymore Craigslist has people posting cars by the thousands daily asset wherever you are there people posting those cars and when those cars hit that are under $3000 if their decent cars. They don't last, probably 48 hours and they make an app on your phone where you can just check those things constantly.

So once you you put in the criteria of what you're searching for and at $3000 car it'll start popping them up to you. The suggestion that I make to everybody is number one. Be the first one there, because that cars get gone in a hurry, then make sure that you take it someplace and have it checked out. That would be competent in the kind of car that is in a Pontiac and you wanted to get the GM story fits afford you take the Ford store etc. etc. and you know when you go to take the test. I just tell the owner look at my go have this checked out even if it's only $3000 is still critical that you know what's going on.

The car then when you get that list of whatever the car may need or not need when you go back to negotiate with the price you can say wow it needs this and this and this year one 3000 looks like it's going to cost me $400 to do all the stuff we sell to me for 2600, and if you're the first one that does that you have a lot better chance of of getting that deal and those are my suggestions on a $3000 car. I love it. Those are great cars and and will be praying for you check that you find the right car for your daughter and if it's on a young person. You definitely want to consider gas mileage because that's economy is such important thing for someone in early years of driving. Thank you all right, we do have Randy free burger with Ford where this he's been hanging off him he I'm sorry, wait, we got to nip it in the Bible. He cannot people sleep not sneaking up on our policeman and forgot a better idea. Once again, you got some new technology share with you situation around your place of trying to keep an eye and ear. All your surrounding Detroit in the car to report radar surveillance. There will be many in the forward part of the car, but we doing when you start this mode you the rearview camera comes on Park normally only comes I revert and watch their back letter watching forward and then if somebody would approach them in the bumper light but we detected chiming the car. Let me know somebody there doors automatically and roll up the window to secure the car situation so literally for the excellent concept and in the really cool thing about this man really blessed my heart when I read the article as you guys are sharing this with everybody. It's not like afford exclusive you like anybody that wants is for their police cars, we want to share this because it saves the life of our first responders and record it.

We have it An elite safety wrote the top of you well enough so everything we do, we can regenerate doing something right. So we also a lot of things. Your leader on our aircraft. Keep everything else is 55 dinner ballistic panel provide an option to provide the highest level of protection in industrial house burned downstate ballistic like your car.

How cool is that. Well, I would point out that if you go to Christian card.com is an article therefore defines new police car surveillance is warranted. Robbie's usual plan were to ask and there's a really cool video showing this technology in an and all the links to what Ford's doing with her. Please cars. Randy God bless you and appreciate you being on the so much the blessed attic. Ford is got another that idea again. All right built Bob, you got something you been want to share and we were ready. The brother when you done that God will let you she's where it's just to me, it just rings the bell about God's provision and I got a text this week that both fear and faith are contagious and I had a situation arise at work. I had one of my 18 wheelers bright red down and it was out of town and I was trying to grab hold out and control the situation and find the best price that kid on the tallow and then just finally realize what you doing this is so out of town and a long ways away. There's no way you can control this get your hands off of it and let God take care of you like he always has and, driver embankments as well. Just tell the policeman to get the next out and when you do that you put yourself at the mercy of the tow company. We had a Ted candidate came to this out of the red dentist back to his place and hit the check and let us unhook the trailer any tighter vehicle all the way back to Winston-Salem and did it for just a phenomenal price. It was just incredible how how cheap it was just out I was expecting like three times that much and you know sometimes we don't spread faithfully, spread fear and I had fear that I was going be overcharged in and I just had to remember the text that I've gotten in and and have faith and they gotta take care of me and and while how he provided it was so profound. Bob, I had to tweet it spreading fear or fate and faith have so much to do with it. We got Kim is in Greensboro she's got a car story for us. We would love to hear yours, 866-348-7884 Kim you're on a Christian card – show up are still there when he got force to keep happening to 98 model and we paid $7000 for it for 11 years till he reached the age of 65 and 57 and the car had 180,000 miles on it. At that time last year we donated it to the well color 303 in Greensboro.

They work with my fellow talented God had blessed him with natural skill in doing automobile maintenance and we purchased the factory maintenance manual for that vehicle and over the years he has done all the maintenance tonic and a big proponent of keeping the oil changed and you think, and maintain the health of the car anyway automobile. Have a good night to check over and donated it to a single matter and locally in this area and filled the car and a blessing for her. No doubt, and that factory made note that we had. We passed them on to one of the participant in the well color ministry for your family well and happy to share with him and we got a small pack light on Mercury grand Kim when you break I'm sorry to get you off the thank you so much for your program. We got a lot more coming of states is a about how God didn't let our shoes wear out when we're headed for the promised land. Walking through the desert. We would love to hear your story on how that may have happened 866348788486634 truth and there there was a reason I was think about that song is it number one is just one of my favorite I mean that's the Easter song of Easter songs for me and II. If you've ever been on Easter pageant where the grave actually rumbled in the rock world and they sing that song and you just ball and it is this one of those things, but old red you know is my 1995-ish if you in Washington or another station is to take on the Christian card Ashley Evan heard of this before, but my personal car I try to live my own message I see a car last as long as you do.

I have a 1995 Dodge Dakota has just turned 366,000 miles and you think, and I heroes all time. Robbie's at the first engine no is that the second ends know it's 1/3 engine is just what happened because back when I have a Chrysler dealership my parts runner.

He did not. You and I sit at the beginning a show that people see that red light flashing and they won't pull over will always tell people you got colored lights in your – the red lights mean emergency stop pullover you got a real problem.

Brake light comes on your red that's red pullover. Your overheating lightening attempt light comes on pullover your oil pressure light it's red pullover. Otherwise, you destroy the car well the overheat light came on. The, the temperature light came on an old red in the parts driver and had about 90,000 miles on it. He didn't pullover so we put a crate engine in it and in about three years later. That engine failed because it had a bad sleep in it so it's on its third engine, but still it has 366,000 miles on it and when I think about arise, my love, I can have is I love that truck for a long time and I saw come out to shop in November. Driving in and and and the thing I was think of this week as I was going back and forth across the state of North Carolina. I probably drove rid six or 700 miles this week was now Lord, I'm the guy who says cars last as long as you do. You know I'm only on the second clutch.

Do you think it's going to make all these things start running through your mind while that rear axle has a lot of miles on and in the thing of it is his safety is so critical to the whole thing and having mechanic that you can trust in somebody you know is is really maintaining the vehicle the way it should be because there's more to it than just changed oil although changing oil is absolutely critical that you got timing belts, timing chains got transmission services axles that need to be lubricated. There are things in the door that if you don't lubricate that right your unit with 300,000 miles that's going away even the lock cylinders himself require maintenance at some point because the whole vehicle is full of parts and those parts are engineered to last a good long time but over time, they either wear out or they fatigue in a rubber seals dry out and crack and break and you know metal itself begins to fatigue and lose its its rigidity.

All these things begin to happen, but the cool thing about cars is there made other parts and you can replace apart and you get like brand-new. As long as you're keeping the main thing the main thing which is your car has to be safe. In other words, you get your family in there.

I love what the man said the first choleric at the show today with a 95 all this is the car my wife is it's gotta be safe. Now it being an 850 Volvo. I know the safety that's built into that car. The airbags and all that stuff is tremendously safe car from the standpoint of engineering, but if that car dies in the intersection like that. The man calling them of the 99 Honda and his wife hits the brakes and the car dies and then all the sudden she's got to avoid something the cars did you know there you go. That's not safe.

These are things that my friend Barney Fife would tell you you got to nip it in the butt. If you Didn't nip it in the bud so when these things happen and in time and time again we see people at all. While my check engine light is been on for three years or if you think well it seems to run fine, but here's the deal that that may be telling you that the oxygen sensors malfunction in your cars been running lean. In other words, when a car runs lien it runs a little bit hot and a comparative valve and there's all sorts of things that can happen because you don't attend to those things that you got to nip it in the butt, and sometimes you just smell a smile you like there's a smell antifreeze have right now is very specific when I smell it.

I know my water pumps either leaking got a hose it's on its way out or you know axle fluid has a very strong sulfur smell to it and I'll smell that my go I got axle seal, you know, I can smell it and so you when you're hanging around your car. Part of the safety if it is to use all your senses.

You know that there were two times this week that I walked out in the parking lot with ladies that work here at truth broadcasting and they had low tires and you could see one of them was dangerously I was like wow I just cooled off on it just cools off like that.

It's amazing thing. Tires go soft all over the place so when you see a temperature change at 1020°. That's when it's time to pull out the old tire gauge or at least have a visual look at your tires to go out. That doesn't look like is totally inflated because an underinflated tire is terribly unsafe to eat. You know, if you begin to turn a curve to sharper even hit your brakes.

There's all sorts of things it can happen because of an underinflated tire so in order for you to be safe.9 other words, I advocate driver car as long as you want to old reds and 95, three, and 66,000 miles. I told my kids.

It's good thing as a 6 foot bed. You have to put down the tailgate when you bury me because I want to be in the bed okay.

I'm 65 yet put down the tailgate with no problem. Put in the gray but Robbie and Olga Emily go and hopefully the Lord will allow that to happen in old red will get wrecked somewhere along the way but I believe that but I believe in stronger that you've got to be safe that God is got the stewardship thing for you that the cars gotta be safe, especially for your family when lights are coming on your smelling smells your hearing things. Okay, that's another sound that's another sense that's critical to maintain your vehicle when you start hearing scraping when you start hearing squealing when you start hearing whining. You know their ride.

I did a whole shackle of my stuff in all the different sounds that cars can make. This is why we have senses sensitive feel you can feel vibrations you can hear things you can smell things you can see things nobody on obscene this just like when you go to the doctor. Nobody knows your body better than you and you know that something is not right know when you put trim and 66,000 miles on the car when I sit in the seat all red. I know what it's supposed to feel like I know what is supposed to smell ice know what is supposed to look like and so do you.

When you're driving even that 150,000 mile you know equinox that you've had, you know what it supposed to feel like it when something is start to go awry. There's nothing like having a mechanic, a technician somebody that you can really trust to be able to go to and again I would point out that if you go to Christian car.com. There you can find the Jesus labor love in the Jesus labor. Love is car repair labor, not the parts for families in crisis across the country and all the people that participate in that. We know that these are wonderful folks that are given their hearts to the people that the Bible says right bomb orphans, single moms, those kind of folks if you go to Christian car.com you look at the people that are participating. That program obviously those folks would be somebody that you want them to work on your car so you can go there you can read the article, Ira out you she's not wearing out in the desert and lots and lots of other resources.

There Christian car.com. We thank you so much for listening to the show. As always, if you miss part of it.
