Love is see this relationship will be.

We show today for you. I'm a Christian card like a Memorial day extravaganza first thank you to the whole Christian card of your team. It's always that's a totally volunteer army right there and they do a wonderful job of getting all those lines in a really fun episode.

Projects arrived and I'm stuck to become a surprise where it goes from here. But today on the Christian card. I share we have our Memorial day extravaganza. Yes, in Romans 13 seven.

It's clear that were to give honor to whom honor is due, and Memorial Day weekend is a great time to do that so we have Bob over with you our heroes with this we have Dale Hamilton would support the military.org they have a race to the other drivers brace Bryce excuse me nap years to be here with us, and this is kind of big race weekend you may be aware that for both NASCAR and Indy fans and Dale also helps out with the be a hero to hero.

That's an amazing way that everyone listening today in honor of that and working to get to that shortly. But also, today we have John Taylor Willis.

He's with her ministry. Mr. well it one of our great sponsors in the end, Mr. quick picked locked in road and they have that's unlocking cars program which will find out about that and there also supporter of the Air Force enlisted Village welcome John. It's great to have you on today love to hear some of these stories about that's unlocking cars and what's going on with that program and here in the studio. I got Jerry Mathis. My very own Christian body shop guy Memorial Day weekend is a big time will absolutely a lot of people in the rodent travel and end up with themselves in a crisis in a hurry, but most of all we need you this morning.

Yes, Uncle Sam needs you and you see that Mr. Uncle Sam finger-pointing at your now we need you to call in an armor your hero. Maybe it was your father or brother or sister or an uncle someone in your family that you feel like needs to be honored on this particular Memorial Day. We would love love I mean dearly love to hear that story. Eight 663-487-8840 that were loaded for bear today in a Christian card – over this memorial day extravaganza will be the same about your story. 66348788 40,000 lines open. We love so much more back to Bryce after we got all sorts of folks that we want to share today, but one of the guys that that we have with this is John Taylor and and John is with Mr. quick picked up Ami Mr. quick pick lock in road. One of her wonderful sponsors. But John, you yourself would like to to honor some folks that you had an opportunity to serve with when you were in the amount you all. I was stationed on dating fire in 1957 during Vietnam with 134 trailers at that time. I believe the Lordship of think about them. I think about that.

I know sailors to their life during that time hundred and 34 sailors. Quite a number on board a ship like that is something that I don't think we can even hardly get our minds around. But that's something that the Navy really that's one of the drills that you guys to constantly backdate you that video from that fire in boot camp now show the oh what to do not try to get them get out of the gym. We do have Bob over with us here in the studio and and were speaking about honoring your heroes today and certainly we would love to take your call if you got when we got lines open.

We'd love to hear how you want to honor your hero 866-34-TRUTH 87884. But Bob, this is a neat opportunity that that this country honors people on Memorial day and this being Memorial Day weekend not Memorial Day but still it gives us a chance to do this in and when you hear stories like that. Wonder what you think about where our is a combat veteran myself and having facts served in Vietnam. 58,000 that were around that were killed during that war, but a more disturbing statistic is that we had 118,000 commit suicide, we still ain't feeling the effects of that war, and in some of the memorializing goes on even today, as we see them all. This is all the battle but also fall as a result of what they brought home the conduct, and the issues the PTSD and all the came home with them and they need to remember to, although they didn't fall in battle they felt was a direct result of the war and the effects that it had underlined survivors with a ministry called to heal our heroes, which again is all it Christian card.com and all that information but also have Dale Hamilton with us which it is got a couple of things along the lines to that I think people get to be excited to know that they can actually you will be enlisted sort like him in in the be a hero to a hero kind of thing.

Welcome Dale the good friends. You guys are actually on the way to the race this morning or tell us what where you headed to Dell about the church about and our heroes that were honoring the day by gold railroads are going to be joining us on track today and he's not with me right now. You still in their talk… A little bit.

Race drivers and I'm sure you will get a standing ovation from the drivers and all of the people are eating were excited about honoring and greatly appreciate that you break Bob doesn't break our heroes that this opportunity for billions and dull. Veterans and body really be a hero to heroes very simple concept find a military member their body and live life with them when they get close to the cliff bring back and work to bring them back to normalcy as we know normalcy Bob that this belt there is a different mobile different form than they did. Now completely different and we will help our God ladies cover and one way to do that is frosted volunteer well and we also join with Bryce the pure in the very young man he was 16 when we first talked to you last summer. You're only 15 but how what an honor to zero down Memorial Day weekend to be able to drive for the support military.org kind organization. Bryce, can you tell us, what your feelings are. There is a is a 16-year-old racecar driver. Thank you for having me on a great time daughter and like doubt that it's great the body with the veteran bring them back in grade 10. We cannot Memorial Day weekend up at Kerley late night honoring our veterans for while they weekend and not yeah she's really great. I really like working with the veteran working with our military and be here to hear, really enjoy working with them and I've been with Dell for years now and I just really brought me in religion in working with that with the veterans and thought I really enjoy it and that I wish transport meltdown my car this weekend. We went able to lug it but I'll be honoring the veteran and try to make it to the track that I could be with Michael and that honor him and that it's really great that now I bring people along in the veterans and get on at the track and Miguel have a great time say I really enjoy working with us really need to hear from me. Down continues to seek out the younger drivers and an opportunity to disciple them and get them involved in supporting the community instantly differently so that you can try to hear from us or our lineup today. We got so much more to come at you because we have all these funds but we still need your story with your heroes.

We would love to hear 866-34-TRUTH 87884 866-34-TRUTH much more Christian progression, and John is cited and support military.org and our friend Bob Huber is here in the studio with this with heal our heroes. Of course, my good friend Jerry from race body shop and John Taylor with Mr. quick to clock him let road which I was on to say like a motorist is one of those things, but you know the thing I'm really looking forward to is that story that we won't hear unless you call 866-348-7884 that one you know about your dad about your mom about your sister. Whatever it is that is your story. Maybe it was your brother. We would love to hear it.

We would love to honor those people who literally serve this country in whatever way that they that they did that. 866-34-TRUTH 87884 but also Kim my producer today. His father served in World War II, and Kim you wanted. Honor your dad yeah yeah directly ma'am that was Oliver Spears and yes he did so and will watch what I didn't know is not the searching on ancestry.com but he is listed twice to make sure you get yeah I did not know that well. He learned it just moments ago then canceled. I helped with the kid, not ancestry, and those things that they did so where did your dad served in World War II. He said that he was over in Germany.

But he said that by the time of his ship got there. Most of the fighting was over but still I can assure you that said, being in harm's way and and and a dangerous thing in an I'll tell you, Kim.

There's lots of ways and I'm just getting blessed here during the break Bob mentioned that there's this fraternity here in North Carolina that just decided to help out a veteran and get one of these wheelchairs. It has got a track on it like a little baby tank so we can go out and would still tell that story. I got called by the president fraternity Outside High Point University. Thing is, we just, I didn't serve there were in college were younger, but we really want to do so our appreciation is something that we could do for a military person or wounded warrior would like to raise some money and I made him aware that this is chair called a track chair that is mechanized and allows the soldier to get part of his life back at Lawson. The Crossville streams allows him to climb up little hills allows them to back out in the woods and be next in nature. They love being outdoors, hunting and fishing and so we work together as a fraternity. I spoke to them a couple times and showed them the importance and how they could do that and we were delighted to know that the that the president of the tractor company personally came down the High Point University and presented the check to him. But there was a chair sitting outside a fraternity and they were able to bring the recipient and so were able to see the actual knowledge like a 20 pounds lot of money is a lot $20,000. This is what they raised and it was just encouraging to see the younger generation have an appreciation for those who did serve and doing in such a tangible way to raise that money as possible. We have Susan's in Louisville, Kentucky, and she wants to honor someone for his Susan you're on the Christian card show. I'm so grateful you called us this morning that I got from a Korean War veteran. My father was one of them and now my mom and dad met when he was handed not found in the end anyway.

The letter, the Korea nameplate and with every kind letter threatening and antique life magazine the Korean conflict and kind tell you I just got back from gentleman it with the Lord bless you Susan you know I have a dear friend, dear friend, is on the radio with me right often, but I'm sure his name because he never lets anybody know what happened with him.

Because he he will tell you the stories of the children that came out that you had to shoot and in the end just horror stories upon horror stories of things that these men face that we have no sense of how expensive our freedom is doing Bob I mean, we eat you work with these folks every day and in the healing of this is not necessarily just all that easy, but being a Christian is certainly something that Jesus is interested. Yes, I thank you, Susan.

I got bless you. I appreciate you calling so much you too bye-bye what a cool cool tribute where saying is that oftentimes the wounds are not visible and sometimes common traumas, a wound to the mind and so a lot of them just can't share that they just can't open up the scene. Those images they heard their screams and seeing that the tree simulation and end at this lock. Something deep within them and they just don't how to get free from it, but fortunately we are mind, body and spirit and in the spirit of a man is her faith and hope reside in this. There's a force is the opportunity to relationship, find the renewing of the mind to healing of the mind with a relationship with Jesus Christ and we seen it happen over and over again.

And what a cool thing is is that one of the just blessings.

I think of NASCAR is that here's this open forum to share your love of Christ in your love of country and your love is the people that that serve together and you have in the platform that God's given you there with support military.org it even today or get to do some neat stuff away. Bob said clearly that it which I could express that way but it but so such honor to be able to spend some time with the organization that has sexual military, and they allow so many freedom to be able to honor our military different organizations that are available at that there are I would not be as broad organization that support military some form or fashion track this week and not everything from nonprofits to organization and they just have total freedom NASCAR.

It's amazing how much freedom they give us an CDs that walk around the garage and watch civilians. Walk up to them and say we love you we appreciate you what you done for this so inspiring to watch happening.

I get to be involved in that and make it without that that person an opportunity to get that love.

I just love the all something to share God's love that way with.

I'm curious as is Bob by the way that the man that you are speaking of the drivers meeting. Are you able to share any of his story demanded thereon today. Yes that's going to happen here just on our way back right now but it my goal is a 10 years and 10 years in the Air Force and ESA hello and so is this possibility is the earnings when caring for or if either to pick up people break deliver break in the combat zone and he was in the middle delivery but body gives a description that they've done. Combat I would call it top-secret patients. But anyway, he was on a mission and one of the 10,000 rates got the and in an effort to try to get it Bob. He got began touring that great wall of the airplane inner wall of the airplane and critics are really just fine, really bad and I didn't know what it was for quite a while and finally got it diagnosed then obviously he's playing Dr. Blodgett is now the Proctor. It's up I heart goes out the noise and and yet he's here with his son David will work cited that you experienced using a break, but thank you for that story and we got more coming from Dowling and Bryson Bob Anacortes Jerry and I are here to see this soaking it all up. I was your story. We got one thing that this show parts that I always do. We love to hear these stories of of people that were in your life or that that maybe you are one of your relatives, or someone that did literally made an impact on our freedom. The fact that they were able to do a show like this today and and speak our minds and those kind of things we would love to hear your story, 866-348-7884 866-34-TRUTH and get off my I wish that we aired our our breaks because I hear usually a lot of phenomenal stuff and you know Bob was talking about what an impact the last few years way you came back from Vietnam and it was a different culture was a different thing. It was the people didn't look on veterans like they do today that that is amply correct.

I was just startled after year, in full combat walking the rice patties a whole year I hit California. My orders were said to not travel in uniform, but I did not escape what we as Vietnam veterans call the Jane Fonda affect. We were met with protesters. They had plaques they were calling as murderers they were costing us spitting on us very, very aggressive in her expression of the antiwar sentiment that was in the country today itself. The Vietnam vet is really really struggle with that sense and so into Vietnam veterans greet each other. It's automatic welcome home because we understand of each other.

So when Dell was talking about and even the drivers is really wanting to help the veterans now. I think where there was a blight on my country because of the Vietnam way we treated them.

There's a new enthusiasm just a great deal of unexpressed appreciation within the public an organization wanting to help the military and it clearly separated the political aspects of any conflict in those who serve and give their lives for this freedom, and they reach out in a collaborative way to do everything they can to help them in this reintegration process and that is something John your you're doing with Mr. quick pick, you've got your your program on what cars unlocking vets and I was wondering if you want to talk with Bob a little bit about the dimension we have that now coming back with PTSD and other physical limitations. We pretty much designed the light-duty roadside service at the business that veterans can do even with some service-connected disabilities. I've myself got out with the nine essential tremor with my handshake a bit but I can do this jumpstart tire changes gas delivery car unlocking if the type of thing that that veterans can do work from home, maybe the veterans are coming back there not ready to get back into 40 hour week office setting, but it is their business ownership not employee base their independent contractor they can do very well Bob you were talking about the people coming back there there issues that it's very difficult to transition a call reintegration.

How does the military and into civilian life. First of all, you know, it's a traumatic event for veteran takeaways uniform take away his unit. They take away his identity when he transitions out either because of disability or other separations and so they're looking for ways to find meetings looking for ways to find significance of clearly part healing, copies employment and job disk is a massive significance and gives them some opportunity to do something with his life that makes a difference and help provide for his family. John, I think that's an excellent opportunity and were eager to support you in presenting this to many veterans biodegrade in and make a full circle. I like the Mr. quick taken back unlocking color on the side of a NASCAR one day talk with Robbie about that a few times and I didn't think Lori will that's exciting but also even one other thing that all of us can do is this the hero to hear. I actually signed up for it myself this morning. All you had to do is is give them your email there to put you on the list in your and and Dell talk about that. What an easy way all of us can get into this because like Bob said we want to be able to support any way we can just hopefully will have our act there will always support you as you support your hero, and so but with just one initially everybody that we can pledge to find the route data hero to find one and basically live life with all do with them what you would do with any of the body. Discipleship right now. Well it's a great great sewing that when you know when when your hero and all all will have we call and Bob is one of those tools but we can connect you with foundations that will help you with whatever area you with whether the housing year employment will give you the tools that help and that will come through our website.com and Bryce, can I point out to you that one of the ways that you can support the military today is by winning.

You have my permission to go when no pressure was no pressure whatsoever. I'm picturing the movie we were rocky to where Adrian what you looked Iraqi and said you know you what you can do for me. You can win is at Riedel and my speaking for your all you know, the better the better is over. Talk about sport military in your hero like that will be better. Always surprise. I'm curious as a 16-year-old young man, can you share with us that would have no understanding of what it's like to go around in a truck like that in 100, whatever miles an hour what it is that you think God is really been teaching you under the hood.

There had my hand all way. I mean, I don't think there's been that any conflict with the all happened just the people he met and how how I met Dell. I'll think of the question that I met Las Vegas driven out as well.

I think an Al-Anon.

I mean, I can imagine that. Now I am here in North Carolina rate thing I would've never thought I would have been the compeers got you on Facebook. Sometimes that led dear. Remember that just two years ago back and keep you know the average is just me and the late-model my first time out there in a late model and that two years ago.

Now I'm rate than that All truck.

They burned so deftly hand: that God had my hand along the way that it battled to get the car ended up in one that that was a scratch on it.

Those A 200 laps done side-by-side and never ate the truck before but in a big old port 3200 pound truck where I'm only the small sporty late-model diary were so deftly Larry. But that God had met in the hallway and Jerry think of the adventure we been on to see this kind of stuff on the Christian Car Guy show after all these years is kind of amazing how God is use this platform to serve so many people in so many ways be able to come in and talk about people that are hurting in ways that we can help us as Christians as fellow Americans and shows itself port that is certainly as you mentioned. Give honor where honor is the right and it's pretty easy go to Christian card.com and all these organizations are all there is pretty easy to sign up. It's pretty easy to give our support are per support and we just number one.

Thank you for listening for you guys make it all possible. By tuning into this show every week with the it's a blessing. Thank you so much. Remember slowdown. Jesus walked everywhere he went, got it all done in 33 years but not you.

Bryce don't slough you and thanks for list
