Righteous Driving

This is the Truth Network will today on the Christian Car Guy show yes Jerry I said righteous driving this time the season is slated yeah it's right is right you as you were all heading back from the holidays righteous driving you know you might be thinking like Paul that we know from Romans three, there's no righteous drivers. No not even want this has everything to do with Superman today show. I think you will agree with me by the end of the show. Okay Robbie, I get it. It has everything to do with Superman and it has to do with the letter called exotic get a lot into that but I'm a tell you is faster than a speeding bullet is more powerful than a locomotive and it has everything to do even more so with Jesus. As you might guess, especially that red ass that's on his chest because well before going to that, let me say that I'm really excited. I got we've really had a wonderful season here on the Christian Car Guy show that we've had more and more fantastic callers I've heard such amazing stories over the last few months and I just left on my socks. I'm hoping we can continue in that tradition today with that question. What is righteous, driving what is righteous living. So you might've heard Teddy Kenny Teddy Kennedy and his brother Bobby's funeral say he saw a wrong is a great speech. I know how you feel about the Kennedys but that was a great speech he saw a wrong and he tried to write and that's righteous living. By the way is actually superhuman as will get into you figure out what this has to do is talk about. I think I hope so, because I'm just gotta show me the stuff hopefully to bring the light that that the righteous one will brings that we can all take a look at what we are talking about so Jerry it's it's it's a broad subject that it is just going to see you get all pulled in here and nonwhite density that like being in any so as I said, you know, Paul said there is no righteous drivers, not even one that's from the RSV, the Robbie symbolize version we keep but fortunately for us, there are exotics which is a Hebrew word for righteous by the way, but the righteous ones is what a real exotic is and know it was one according to Scripture, Abraham, Moses, as you might guess number one on the list would be Jesus but Superman is on that list and I'll tell you why Superman was invented or the brainchild of two young Jewish immigrant boys by the name of Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster and and they were actually describing what they believed was what the righteous one, which they believe their Messiah is the righteous one, that same name comes out to Jeremiah Gonzales, Isaiah, and so they put that big red S on his chest. They were actually using the sound of that is that it you know and and since it was Superman S fit and away you go somewhat when these guys looked at their Jewish Messiah. They worse they were seeing what we would see in Jeremiah 23 five right to hold the days come said the Lord, and I will raise unto David a righteous branch, critical wordiness in this verse by the way, and the King shall reign and prosper and execute judgment and justice, truth, justice and the American land mother from the RSV version every way you can possibly think of these guys were thinking when they are developing this superhero that this guy would be like this. Now this breastplate that he has on is clearly a reference to the breastplate that Isaiah would describe later that Paul describes in Ephesians 6 is a breastplate of righteousness. It's called the breastplate of righteousness. And since this guy is the righteous one. Many Superman. Naturally, he would have this breastplate, but the letter that would be on it actually would be this static, which, if you were to see as attic in your minds eye, and if you go to Christian Car Guy course I've got it. They are actually on the chest of a guy that looks like Superman.

I have spelled out for you Christian Car Guy.com but it it looks sort of like a sliding tree because it's it's kind of shape like a Y in the bottom of it comes over and actually called a flying's adequate it's at the beginning of a word like that like it is with the word, and so this thing has a lot to do with tree because number one the word Earth has created, but also the word tree has as attic in the word Earth has ascetic so if you can picture this letter that is supposed to actually when it's got the straight form. It is a treat and so you spell tree in it means in Hebrew. It's it's as attic now trees are upright and so when you think of justice from a standpoint of being upright in us all wrong and tried to write it you begin to see this picture, and it's no accident. By the way, no accident at all that Jesus had to die on a tree because he was going to make it right for what we did on a tree by superhuman powers. Okay, I mean the stuff comes together like beautifully like never figure it all out but it sure so much fun just digging into it. Okay. And so we look at this letter. We think of this concept but I watch the picture with me and I want your stories is one of you seen somebody were you punched him in this attic and something happened because everybody's got is that again they just do little kids from the time when they begin to say that's not fair. He's on his way to SFO when I was on my mission trip in Jamaica and I was in this orphanage for the unloved special-needs folks and these were adolescent children so they were like 15 1617 years old, but most of them work rebound because nobody very taken the time to teach them how to walk how to use the bathroom on their own. So there in diapers there in cribs, a lot of them are just laying because they have no anything to do but this one young man in one of the cribs and found the plastic wrapping off of the diaper thing and he was having the time of his life. He was just playing with this thing having fun. Will the ones that can walk have a tendency to bully the ones I can't walk. And so this will bully comes over and he steals his guys plastic that is been playing with a mentor starts talking with awning and with it and throws it down now. When this happens, here's this little as attic about five boys over and if you could've seen this little Zada going crazy was like you know he was he was going to make this right somehow and he by superhuman power got everybody's attention to like and to show us where this boy stole his plastic and that this and he was going to make it right and he did make it right because we came over and will figure out what it actually happened because of this, and it's it's by the way what's behind road rage.

Most the time you know it's the problem was. Attic is it's one of the easiest things to crop in the world that Hitler was a Zada get really, really powerful one he got all sorts of people killed because it was the right thing to do religious righteous little self-righteous people zealots. It's that same as attic and and Jerry were talking about the apostle Paul shared that that yeah you know you so look at the back biblical example. Paul is a perfect example that is Saul, you know, what was his passion. I mean I was a persecutor Christianity that was made at all cost him and he was he was on a mission. He was on until all the sudden conversion step and all of a sudden Christ and God changed changed him, but he still had that same passion was just just just the righteous what what he felt was righteous wasn't righteous. Then all the sudden righteousness is what did it, but the part didn't change was his passion and we sit there we look and we think about it. I mean there's phenomenal power and if he can corrupt it. Then he can he can get people to do superhuman crazy stuff because it means we were talking about Hitler when we talk about Jim Jones right. He convinced them that it is time for everybody to take their life and all my goodness, I mean this is got a phenomenal amount of power to, and so it when Jesus says in John 15. I am the vine and you are the branches that relate that back to what we are talking about. In Jeremiah Wright is Jeremiah 23 says, behold, the days come said the Lord, that I will raise up to you.

Righteous branch he's making all references when he says, a righteous branch, if you know as attic in your familiar with Heber you realize how many addicts are in that little sentence right there and why they're there because it has to do with being connected to the tree of righteousness and and the only shot we got because honestly you know we don't know which way is up. What would what makes us different from the someone who would go into a shopping mall and start shooting in step, you know, those are all heinous things and we can understand it. But for somehow someway in their mind they think is the righteous thing today, right right right and it's in every movie like I want to see Star Wars with my somehow fun. What a great movie. I mean, personally I love that whole thing, but when you look at the star which you know now is you raise Skywalker. She's as attic completely. She sees a wrong and tries to write it all over the place. Even when the worm is in others. A neat scene.

I really personally like a lot in the movie where this they always have the worm with the teeth.

It's an alien worm and it's got them in the hole and it's going to kill him and all the stuff for this alien worm had a big sore on the side of it and so the name of the Jedi, whatever she puts out her hand and heals. This worm to try to kill. It's a beautiful picture of Drake's arm is just and and guess what happens once she heals the worm norms like their body and it gets him out of the plaything and on and it was like no it's it's been for movie well if you think about what Jesus did for Paul on the road to Damascus. He took this unbelievable's attic mean the anybody that was running from Paul Sachs all knew that this dude was armed and dangerous. If you are Christian and you did not want to see Paul or Saul coming to town with no data celebrate and but but God saw his heart.

Any realize that this is the power you know, for the kingdom. If we could just get rid of the corruption if we can attach them to the branch and and put them on the right right you notice a phenomenal thing so I know that you got a story where you saw somebody do something superhuman because I'm a tell you my opinion Jerry. I really do believe this Jesus labor.

Love is one of those opportunities were we see or wrong, and we try to write and now I'm trying to do some for myself. I seem to have very little power, but it's amazing to me how much power I have when I go to help somebody else in on one of my favorite stories will always be that this lady was like.

And somewhere in Kentucky and her car was broke down and not only did we need to pay to fix it, which back in those days we had barely any never had any donation so we didn't really have much money to go on. We had to get everybody up there to volunteer to help in so I not only needed somebody to volunteer to fix the car had to get it towed which no thanks to you and raise wrecker service when we we've got that handled many times here, but there was not a Christian wrecker service in this town and Kentucky as I ask you know the guy who was helping fix the car goes all known others. Only one guy and he's mean as a snake to good luck where he probably wouldn't do anything and so in that one try to describe here is you have keys to the kingdom you don't know you have you have a Zada Kenya and and and that thing has superhuman power that this won't make any sense except it somehow does so I call this might and I like and somewhere in Kentucky Telamon with the Jesus labor leverage makes him mad to begin with your with what you know and he's like I'm not cannot tell when are you kidding me.

Why would I do that, you know what I learn is not like you know when it is kept on. She's unemployed. She's a single mom. She's got nobody to help her or not you know and and every time you know what many would go off on another tirade and off you come, and finally he said, and felt like, like the unrighteous. Remember that story in the Bible. He says if I told this lady's car will you hang up let's I said oh absolutely and never call me back again. I said, you have my agreement to never call you back again and hang up.

Besides that, that part of never forget. I told that story on the air. The next week and I name the name of the wrecker driver that was there in Kentucky and somebody from Greensboro called me on the show that next week and said instead. I know that guy and there's no way he whatever you know he was going to and so you know there is a big shout out to not like that in the and so and all these people heard and so I could not resist. I just couldn't. So I got the people's names from Greensboro that were friends of his, and I called the guy back. I thought you are never going to call me you are you have a friend that wanted you to know how much they appreciate you telling that Levi would not have called you back as that was our agreement but you have a friend that just heard what you did and they wanted to say thank you and their name is so-and-so and goes well, that's okay, you know, and he softened little bit names like well that's good to hear but don't ever call me back but the point is I and I've said this before, I really think this is one of the keys to the kingdom that if if if you are abiding in the branch right in and you are getting nectar and ends in getting life from Jesus Christ and he can next year's attic. I yeah I back away that I've been doing everything I can remember, but stranded motorist and part of my thing been a little more guarded about it now that I'm older, wiser, but not too long ago. October anchor our newly renovated possible downtown and hopped a tire on one of the high curb and wound up with a flat tire. Very very close to where I live, but not close enough and I was never cursed by cultic heroes and put my name in charge later.

Nobody shows up and I've got to get to work and anxious but the Lord,) young man that came line worker working in the downtown road down there and Street bit of alcohol on his breath, and he thought I was struggling trying to change a tire because my back fusion.

I wasn't too strong and he actually help me change the tire and I got it back or I could get higher.

Bring the tire actually and that anyway he was kind enough to stop and I have their work with veteran them that they will veteran myself again. I was struggling. I like to go to church all know that guy that you really help me out today and he was actually eating an ice cream line and not the kind of odd because it was like 9 o'clock in the morning and I am now here it is cold out and I'm kind and caring. He helped me over Ajax were awful but anyway that was crying and I know it was again waiting on. I just think I might figure and a lot of times when people are struggling, older people and I get a lot on the freeway and the highways know nobody stopped and now today it illuminates.

I've always done that in my youth thing feel like it's something we should. The lady needed and what kind of him because I'm not anymore, but I sure did. I really appreciated and helping me. I think he was planning to come back to the Lord that would open encouraging by doing the right thing.

We can talk about a minute because it's a really really common thing with these roadside assistance and so we have somebody on the inside and and his attic to give you some help because the standard answer from these call centers are made out of slick and Eileen the CI when you call in and then your data roadside assistance matter what what it is they're all usually 20 minutes with going to a and at that point there there just as read by Ciampa script get your information will you could be said not to for a couple hours because one thing you, the vehicle owner do not understand what's going on behind the scene because a company there calling may have 20 calls in front of your call and you just sitting there and waiting in your waiting in your waiting and then anytime you broke down. I need that in your own mind is a crisis and sometimes it is. But then there's also those that could be sitting at home waiting just get a jumpstart back in what I always tell people most the time. Those are unrealistic times.

We try to get out there for raise bodyshop mixups as soon as we can give the best service we can also will always try to get the number of the person would going to render the service to Entrada column and let them know really what's going on because if you're in a we got these calls and other total Cummings had them also where they've got some by stranded on the on an intersection or been in a car accident are in the ditch in an unsafe place. We had put those up, prioritize, and put in front of one was somebody at home that needs a jumpstart or someone what you know what I'm when you get there.

I'm at work call and I'll come out the parking lot because I've ran at a gas so I got a flat tire when went out to lunch and will just how to work those through but the next thing one thing you can do is a vehicle owner is say okay after you talk to the service provider and they tell you a realistic ETA. Would you call me back and let me know on even go as far say can you give me the number of the service providers to become a now so I can call them and let them know all the particulars know that I'm in a safe place, is not a dire emergency, we can talk at through because it does if you just let this communication that needs to happen and make things a lot easier own all three parties. So if I'm understanding that that okay I call roadside assistance and I have through nationwide and by the way, I've waited two hours on a 20 minute drive and nobody has only and so I in I could totally relate to that. And I remember now you know exactly, how that went down that the first call you to be out there in 20 minutes and 20 minutes later we call there's no well you know we just talk to the people you know that's it's with this so-and-so service and this can be a while and so the next call I get actually is from the service provider and they tell me that they're going to be 10 minutes or whatever so had I asked. Originally when I talked to the person that says 20 minutes. Would you mind telling me which wrecker service you are going to contact so that I can talk to them personally and get a more realistic time and and then you know a lot of times whenever you think in 20 minutes. We know you in the parking lot at the mall are your thinking and what I must stay out here with the vehicle and you can either go inside or you note because you know the realistic time when you sit there and time just eats at you when you're just sitting there waiting and waiting 20 minutes comes by and passes instantly given there for four hours already and then he just gets really you get aggravated and you get get get sort of. I remember one time my daughter locked her my granddaughter in the car and I was that where I could get to her and I was like you need to break the window of the car, but, fortunately, and then she called AAA when she got to plot a on the phone. She said I need you to know that my daughter is locked in this car is 90° outside.

Some he's got a be here in like 10 minutes or break a window of the scar whenever that time AAA called you back to the onset okay we got this wrecker service there on the phone with you right now you know. Interestingly, if they get an idea of what is real emergency, the system works yeah and this is just communication is it's all about communication. If you don't have it continued that there's a bit disappointed in aggravated just try to get communication and also an understanding where you know you. Yours is in a crisis know that has to be treated that it is and that is in it that dire emergency, because you're at home and you woke up this morning. Your tire is flat. You really don't have to be at work great. They just want to be able to get out today in your car. You just realize is probably somebody out there who does have the car locked up with child enter an animal in it are there broke down in an intersection are there there in the ditch on the side the road is not a safe place at those are going to probably need to filter ahead of yours.

It's all about communication because any lease any company out there. Most of them going to want to do the right thing and give you the very best service.

It's this tough coming all the sudden whenever I may talk to someone our dispatcher and was able to be right there now is said to get just a flow of calls coming in that all real emergencies. Please calls us that the chapter sort of just prioritize them and just get him soon as you can very go this attic and Jerry comes out. This is how it's supposed to be done.
