This is the Truth Network treasurers of the song of songs, which is Solomon's well we get to be Jesus's favorite attempt first of the chapter of the marriage chapter which the 10th would be the year adverse and this one is the fact that in so many different ways, so I'll just read it in English and will dive into it. How fair is that I love my sister, my spouse, how much better is that I love than wine and the smell of vinyl ointments and all spices so you know here we have like what I think it was Matthew Henry said that it's interesting how he starts out how fair is that I love. That's what you say when you can't explain how amazing something is a go.

How amazing is that you know you can even get there and how much he is saying that he loves his sister spouse which we talked about that here again.

He uses that phrase which has tested me me me there so much family that's that's in this verse. It's unbelievable when you see that he is talking about his spouse, which is the person is united with and is also talking about being in their family because he is their sister, and then note the word that I really think is worth deeply studying here is the word that he uses to describe love right because what he says is how fair is that I love my sister spouse in the word that is used here for love is somewhat unique to the song of Solomon, but not unique. From the standpoint of the Bible because it's valid five ballot and so as we think about what he's doing is saying here when he says my love to all involved. Valid is not the hob love that you would usually find in Hebrew.

It's it's the word that means King David. For one thing, the beloved, but it also has to do with what like if you here and I have sodding Hasidic Jew talk about praying, they're gonna say they've been diving and in a row. She goes into that's the Jewish commentator goes into great detail of why they call that diving is because in Deuteronomy 6 when you're supposed to serve the Lord with all your heart, that idea of service is to an extent the auditing because he got a doll and which is you. Note the idea of a servant, but also know that another of the above, a continuation of serving in its own way. If you just take it at that. But then even more beautiful to me. You take this word love right here in and what Jesus is describing about how you interact with him here is this idea if we just look at the hundred 19 Psalm is his word to me the hundred 19 Psalm is so so so precious to us because if you take those eight verses of the Dollard section and just think about that from a complete love or point of view from the beloved point of view right. It starts out with my soul cleaves to the dust Lord quicken me according to the inner. In other words, a broken hearted lover admitted. That's when your soul cleaves to the dust right. I mean, if you've ever been brokenhearted, you know exactly what I'm talking about this is this is where that comes from right and then it says I've declared my ways and now hardest me, teach me your statutes and that that idea of statutes is always met with him in iconic came here and started the study was that you know I I have told you my story, Lord, and you know the situation. Help me to understand your most intimate requirements, which is that idea of statutes of the thing that makes us the closest that's the idea of statutes right so I told you my story. You know how many times the lovers tell each other the story so you think about that and again were talking through the verses 119 Psalm the Dollard section because you got doll involved Dollard right and then it says teach me the way of thy precepts and so I will speak of thy wondrous works, and in other words, as I know through the meetings with you precepts again. We talked about many times a bit idea of coming together either in the community of the church or with Christ to do to discuss him. In other words, if we do this we can't help but just tell everybody how much we love Jesus. Ami Mary Jo will speak of his wondrous works for it and then it says our soul melted for having the strength of now us according to thy word right and and and when you think about you know of trying to figure out how to serve Jesus and trying to figure out we know how it is I'm supposed to bring all these things that we try to do to please him out of a part of love right it with you know it's gonna ween requiring strength right and then when you think about this event is from a sampling of what you love it for your lover to say this removed from me the way of lying and grant us dialogue graciously like whoa. How sweet would that be if your lover never left eight that when they were true that they took their mask off right that that the way of lying is not just saying things as this is putting on opposer whatever case that may be like.

Just think of how beautiful this these verses are when it comes to love right and then it says I've chosen the way of the faithful and set thy judgments before me. How much is that after they would love right you what you want your lovers to be completely faithful and and then it says I cling to thy testimonies of the Lord. Let me be put not to shame. In other words, here were clinging to his story metaphorically histories it is big we know that in this is this is gonna work out we cling to his story. Let us not be put to shame. And then of course that the crescendo the eighth verse, the thing that I know has to do with love is is just continual love is I will run in the path of thy commandments when now and largest my heart that idea of running right running free right on running to serve you. In other words, now I've now I got the picture and I'm going to run with all my heart right in the and there is a wholehearted servant right there just running to do what it is. God wants us to do like how spectacular is that. Well, when you take that one doll in a right just just take all that we just talked about and then add above it. That means a continuation right when you look at the verses and I could go through all that in the how the valve has to do with delight as well, especially delighting in commandments if you go read the verses in the above section right. You can't miss that so and I won't go through all those, but just think of the idea of this Dollard that we just what we went through and then all the verses that the valve and then another Dollard. Oh my goodness you get this picture of what love means to some extent, and interestingly that word in Hebrew is related to the idea of boiling or a pot okay for take three letters together and if this is the word pot is is that why because things boil in a pot. Well, when you got to you got ballads of the valve in the middle. Things are boiling okay this is this is a beloved situation. Interestingly, very interesting.

It is also the word for uncle. And interestingly, even more than that if you put a hay on the end of those letters is what you got aunt and so here we come back to as I talked about this family relationship.

This idea of boiling and what Jesus is talking about is that right there is better than wine.

We talked about that and any is actually reflecting back to her what she said in the first verse. Your love is better than writing of your love is better than one and we talked about what all that meant. And again how cool that is. And then he says right in and you might remember after she said that she said you know your name as an ointment poured forth, so he goes back to Badin. He says you are ointment right or better than all the spices better than all the spices well when you think of the word anointing if you just allow me you know without going into a great deal of detail in all the letters for you, but just to say that the word anointing has to do with the very special gifts that God is given you an oil that he's poured down on your head that when people see you, you shine that idea of just listening like Jesus. Okay, your anointing is you to shine like crazy with whatever that may be well. Jesus is telling you okay that you are better when he says better. That means you're my favorite kind of thing right. Your love is my favorite. Your anointing is my favorite exegesis all about grace.

This this this this verse is full of directories is completely full of it, because here Jesus is telling us that your love is his favorite and your anointing is his favorite okay and and so to wrap that up and in the stories are really prayed about that and thought about it this morning is you might remember and it and it fit so well here in the in the movie. Chariots of fire where Eric little says you know when I run I can feel your pleasure on how well does that fit with the Dollard section right I will run in the at the memories. When I run, especially when I run in your commandments when I'm running doing what it is that you anointed me to do. Man, I am going to feel your pleasure. Why because your love is he considers your lot better than wine in your anointing better than all his life right so you get the picture of what's being described right so you think about it. I think I would really if I would just not rob you of the joy of praying about this for your own life right like what is my anointing, and where do I feel God's pleasure when I run doing what it is that I know I'm anointed to do well, you know, that's it.

This interesting challenge well attended my own life.

I have to admit that there's one thing people comment more than anything else about me. It's my laugh. Okay.

And those who know me intimately will also comment all the time about my crime, my crying and I cry at the drop of a hat at certain things also laugh at the drop of a hat. Well it as I thought about that and I thought about is really cool. From my perspective when I run my mouth. I laugh when when I am when I am feeling his plate. You know, and I am running my mouth like I am right now. This is pure joy to me and why did I don't know I just laughed and people say Robbie I love your laugh. It makes me feel good. It makes me happy. Well I'm glad because I am running right now and when I get on the air.

I guess it was the thing that God anointed me to do and when I do it I run my mouth and when I do I laugh and clearly I feel is pleasure and I can certainly feel my pleasure.

When people come up to me and say Robbie you know I love to hear your laugh.

Well that's cool that when they tell me that that that that they are seeing the reflection of Jesus. Somehow, in that laugh and whatever that is, it tickles him and Armand. I couldn't be more delighted.

But what makes me just thrilled beyond belief is as I hear it hypo wow Jesus is delighting in other words, here he is. I could feel his pleasure when I laugh I can okay again, but I can also when I run my heart. I cry just like I actually am right now if you were to see me looking at me, you would sleep the tears running down my cheeks.

Why because I feel his pleasure. It's it's it's what a joy. What a joy to run in his anointing, whatever that may be for you and I pray that you would think about what God where one at what is it that people always say that the school about me know or or something that you where you know you know like Eric. Little did that when I do that I feel his pleasure their ego.

That's anointing and that's where you know you his favorite NT hear him. That's that's better than wine and its better than all the hope that you will spend some time and that, thank you for less than
