Lev:23:40 And ye shall take you on the first day the boughs of goodly trees, branches of palm trees, and the boughs of thick trees, and willows of the brook; and ye shall rejoice before the LORD your God seven days.

Revelations 7:9 After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands;

So today on Bible wonder wonder who with you about the old idea of idea, Palm Sunday, but we name it is for the palm branches that they used both put in front of of where the donkeys were walking but also to waving their hands as we see in the different Gospels. You see different versions of this in John's Gospel. You'll note that the palms are there because in their hands because in the book of Leviticus above. Specifically, in chapter 23 Ito. They describe you know what is going to happen in their feast of blues and part of the feast of blues right is where God is going to tabernacle with them and that's the idea of the feast of booze and so is the Messiah was coming and they knew he was coming as they were chanting Psalm 118.

The idea of God, tabernacle, and with them was this picture of these palms and so very very beautifully. They were waving these palm branches so what's up with palm branches well from a remote Jewish perspective, you know it's interesting to note that usually when their talk about palm trees. They found him near the water path and you know Jesus is the living water in the and certainly these wells water is not a critical it is you're going through the desert and when you saw him palm trees. It was a sign that the obviously that there was going to be water and so there's definitely connection between the palm branches in the water but then the trees are very up right which has to do with righteousness and trees have to do with righteousness and palm trees are very upright and when you looked at them and they begin mentioned in the song of Solomon. How upright you know these palm trees are and then there this idea of the branches themselves come out of the crown of the tree. In other words, he come out of the top which has to do with royalty and vectors a king palm it that has to do with this idea of him for years.

Palm trees have been connected to royalty because again the branches come out of the head of the tree in this idea of crown and so the palm branches are there beautifully. As well, but one of the places that I'd love to personally wonder you know about is in revelations is John not only mentions the palm trees on Palm Sunday, but he mentions in the book of Revelation specifically in chapter 7 verse nine. You'll note that here when this great white and all the people that are said yes to the dress were all dressed in white are praising God.

And guess what they're holding it says there holding palm branches in their hands and so there we are. When you know going to be, you know, when we said yes to the dress of wearing white and were holding these palms. As you can see a picture of okay now we get to tabernacle with God or me. This is clearly part of what we get to do and you will understand more of the significance of you know those palms clearly when we get to the book of Revelation we when we get to do that in person, but also one other little thought that I would throw in there when it comes to the idea of the poem to to the Jewish people. The Palmer hand is very very specific very important and you may note that deal from a lot of people's perspective. Jesus, the nail went through his palms, but again when it went through his wrister went through his palms get the same idea of this hand. The pump that underside of the hand being almost crown like and so when they think of the word crown that you know it is connected to the palm of the hand because when you put that palm over your head. You know, that's the idea of the letter could in Hebrew, and so this again is a very significant issue when it comes to palms and who knows how that all fits in again. You know I like to wonder at on the safe at the answers, but I do like to wander and there's a lot of things to wonder about when it comes to these particular branches that I don't think it was by accident at all that God ordered in Leviticus for them to use palm branches and opinions by accident. All that there on Palm Sunday. This was very much connected. The way that they were celebrating their king coming to tabernacle with them, and again when we get our chance to do that in Revelation 9 and so this will be the last Bible. Wonder as I do this week I I am off tomorrow and getting ready for the Passover Seder that we can have its in that slow missionary homes. Again, if you're interested not, don't hesitate to call me my number 336-909-2779 I would love to have you there will be gone from four until 7 o'clock and then certainly you know my prayer for all of you is that you just see Jesus and so many cool new ways this Easter and and and and through the way he lights you up by wondering about his word and you know that you light up other people in your friends and family as leap say yes to the dress and we put on white, and we get a chance to shake these palms even on into eternity. Thanks for listening to
