This is that the Adam goals you have financial advisory through capital financial USA.com. This is the Adam Gold show couple days ago. Somebody is done making moves through the roster and I said yeah the guest Paul says me six or seven that are available against the seven-time 20 goalscorer including last year signed by the hurricanes. Just yesterday, and he joins us on the Adam Gold show what I'm certainly glad they were done.

I don't I'm doing. My younger so I appreciate your time. This is late in the process. Why were you still hanging out at home that I know home right now is biggest and what draws you to Carolina different profit of a week that we have to be covered by developers. Men were, waiting for you something to take her out and then you want the couple to pass up a bigger font better to wait out of the what happens later in the summer to the first couple days or creeping in Africa dies off little bit and you can, get a clear picture for me out, you pick your box.

I wanted to go to a good team better chance to win the most important thing for me. I now see why what you want.

You amend your Carolina popped up there is a trigger for sure and nausea really) about your idea of always respected and there was no talking up I got you the last couple years, ever since Roth never have turned the corner so that something that really kinda intrigued me and them on the radar.

So really excited to have a pen and paper and started teammate with Max that you ready during your time with the Vegas Golden Knights.

So how would this process begin with Carolina and then what was your research about what the hurricanes are all about timing, no I really think a couple weeks, I got that I've been through this process before I'm older now, so for us a new artwork. I looking for a one-year deal. So there's no rush on anything, and when you make a big decision like that you, want to do your research and whether talking different players are talking. You guys have been there before, or for me at the small league.

Holly forgets her own quick thought. It's not that hard to figure out you know of the coaching staff is how the management is video target achievement. Like that it very word travels when you hear nothing but good. Think it excite you. You played against Rod Brind'Amour.

I don't know what your record was in the face of circles against Rod Brind'Amour.

I'm sure if I had the time I could go back and figured out what are your thoughts about playing to get plan for Rod. I'm excited.

I'm Romney or Goebel but really my career. I think it was different. I was one of the Western Conference of Eastern conference teams and play each other. Just one time a year or sometimes when you play against the right. You really didn't travel that far but I'm excited I might amend like a 30 year going on is really good to a player, and the way, you coaches and team seems like everyone to a game and I think it's hard to find. You have a lot of guys that you know sometimes it's awfully one-dimensional, but it also takes the public sees the play.

The teams that your plans are defensively.

The dog licked you played with Winnipeg last couple years when Carolina's former coaches.

Polymerase was your coach until about mid season will be coaching Florida this year but did did did you seek out like Paul or somebody else to get to give you an idea of what the area is like no but I guess that I I keep everything pretty close pretty tight to my child so that I have a very small circle. I trust the really not that many people knew what teams are involved in it that way but I guess that I I know Paul of the time down there is another project. Awesome awesome guy goes off in person. Most of the utmost respect for about passionate interview couple days ago that when you see so many alumni, and up and down the roots and Carolina chose the kind of city place it through the family and I grew up in St. Louis and for most of the same way work.

My dad played a year and 1/2 in St. Louis that were raised there and just like Carolina has that got, Midwest small town did he feel to ever know.

Everyone just walked there with the keys on the type of will it be better to play with Jordan stalled and against him that I don't talk, play against another data… On 2000 and we came in, living together, having the Colliers RMA but you know we'll couple good mutual friends on how to play with them and excited to tell you that not line up against them because you want a few players. It's always annoying up. I guess when you're playing at some of the check in line to give you much.

He's just he's just so big I don't even know what you do you know a small guy, Paul, but he is just such a huge man. He said he really is very gentle as well, but I'm sure is not gentle to play against. Just a couple your thoughts as a guy was played against the hurricanes. At least enough you know of what when I say Sebastian what you said mood now very slippery, very smart hockey park is obviously a real biggie is off the ice. Seems like a tiny public to be like a tiny army like you honor to Interpol the right.

511 180. When you feel like you know you got your smart player to play this week.

As you can play playing at the top defensemen top players.check 980 always find ways to produce and occupy like that. I just know between the years of my pocket. Well I'm sure you're your tech savvy.

Do a Google search for Sebastian. Who else on the shelf and you know what I know how to use it all. Yeah, I'm not only will these so he's certainly not hulking eyes.

Probably 511 but he's he's got good, sturdy, lower body strength, but the elf on the shelf.

He did a great job with that.

I plan to get you don't play against the guy Jacob Slaven or Brent Burns anymore.

You get to play with them. That's gotta be good to have allocable battle to burn the guys strong players a big burden will dirtier very undercover Guardian became illegal for me but I played against him when it afforded many of the event that there. I know those good occupiers that undercover sneaky dirty and want the apron again that I'm five cheap you. I think everything Colorado like yeah yeah I ran across a few times my semi summers in Denver off yeah just a great guy and on the ice I'm using and developing clarity.

I mean like 1/4 book to be reckoned with the claim against them. I think is so big and smart and smooth it can cover so much-Loki figure privately 30 minutes a night and not even be tired hundred percent agree with that Rod doesn't do that until he has to. I ask you one more question, I need you to clarify what you mean by undercover dirty because this to me is a great phrase that I will use during the hockey season. So Paul says the explain what undercover dirty is you burned so sharp like you got your class and back away from you for coming to flash and the rest are in the pan part and it doesn't hurt to be a pattern never like when you see just a little whack on the side of the near and on the calf. Those are so painful and sometimes you want to replay. I look harmless for you. You gotta remember that uses prior one 2125 flax really stiff heavy stick is really strong at thinking to produce all form shivers will crosscheck that because you have with room for way more force than I want one bigger guys are talking get away with it looks like a normal hockey player but those are the ones that give you bruises and cabbages sore the next day to use that phrase all year long post as the undercover dirty's are you undercover duty class, you don't have to see about what you are not too much to too much effort to do that stuff like that while time comes around at the different animals off differently from outside final thing about playoff times this team has gotten so far in the postseason. What's the next step, the element may be that you bring to get them across the finish line yet or not obvious the hell out of those important pixel lock you look at last year, I feel like your watch.

Have a good friend on the art of automatic is a good series and talk to me. I think you know if you have a healthy goaltending. I make the difference you use, but an you look at me, your computer could be in Assaults on New York you get a final year before you run about philosophy, which is a lot you do that because you're not connecting the experiences that are not important. Yeah, you learn to lose it and you realize you know how important is the little things and that I experience always helps to disguise have been through it, whether they gone far enough to realize you know the ups and downs of the playoffs especially emotions in and realizing that for me if easier playing on the road.

I know Caroline is been bombed at home and having some type of experience realize you know the tree to be good at home but on the road you you easier to play on the road.

I should like you better and I think with experienced mortgage played you, really contrite if you got the realized nice if I borrow triggers no pressures about their employment, mental involvement, all hope you'll all 12 of the big mental health is often down the catalyst.

An older guy have been through and and and you thought I got child was younger and I just realized that only one day. Who cares, burn away and move on to next him. Easier said than done, but the more you done it, the more you realize how important it Paul Stastny new Carolina hurricane when necessary, undercover, dirty, and I appreciate that we talk to you when you get to know you will be here in about a week or so. Congrats on the signing and will see soon I you got it Paul Stastny bring new Carolina hurricane signed yesterday and definitely complicates my depth chart but the put in the left-wing center limits and when were put Jack during the projector reason but put in the right wing will afflict theirs. So does all sorts of options to get problem habit is a good heat look easy.

Still a good player is 36 but his seventh 20 goal season came a year ago for a team that mean Donna went away in the middle of the season. Equipment been easy to play for the Jets will hear from my man Coach Pete through the capital financial advisory group. We are talking retirement. I coach simple. When we start tax planning and retirement should start as soon as possible because here's one thing that taxes are not going away and so the game here is we know the rules. A lot of people want to ignore the rules or act like they don't offer me with them but I rest those rules and so we get retirement. The region start taking some money out of your accounts so the secret here is to put a force field around as much as possible. By strategically moving some Romani to Roth IRA were some of the other vehicles that are taxed like a special life insurance policies can borrow against your money there and never have to pay tax on you wanted to build up inside you catch face up there a lot of strategies here. The one strategy that does not work is ignoring it mature and not ignored the next 10 people will do for you your very own tax and retirement plan help you minimize taxation with retirement 800-661-7383 only got his call or you can text Adam to 21000 for Coach Pete. The road little feet all day were taking your suggestions on album. Charles says mother further. My mother's finest. Never heard of the album or the group, but I'm sure it's great. All right, Jay Pharaoh's going to join us in about 7 1/2 minutes or so before we get to that time to continue our NFL tour Dennis Cox where are we headed today down to the ATL go live in Atlanta. First of all, much like Southern California and Inglewood, California, ready to sit in traffic. It's a staple thing you do in Atlanta to take Marta whenever traffic is off by the way, traffic and gigantic city units yeah Rawlings will not surprise it's terrible.

So now there's an things you gotta do while you are in.

Actually you're sitting waiting in traffic or writing. Marta Atlanta is has a very deep and rich crop of talent that in the war. Hip-hop is so much like New York has a sound. Southern California has a sound. New Orleans does. Atlanta has a sound. North Carolina has a sound of Atlanta hip-hop is actually produce something biggest source of all time, you were talking TI Ludacris out Future GZ Negroes, big boy. I was a part of the outcast Donald Glover is Atlanta based on three 3000 part of outcast Jermaine Dupree was that she was born in the Asheville area, but made his name down in Atlanta hip-hop world so and letting him five will now get a really good I would look back, I would deftly immerse yourself and listen to a lot of Atlanta-based hip-hop when you're going down there. We get you some the obvious things in Atlanta got to go to the aquarium to the ward of Coca-Cola which I saw get to go do. Yeah, we actually talked about world of Coke.

Couple weeks ago. You did, you can try like these are not necessarily cokes but these are carbonated offerings in every country where they sell Coca-Cola yeah and I mentioned one that they sell in Italy that was. I tried it and I could not believe that anybody drinks it and somebody emailed me. I think it's called the Beverly okay is rendered silly man like you go spit it out. The why does anybody drink this but they do they drink whatever they want to anyone. Why no different countries have different regulations in terms of what you're allowed to actually put into drinks in terms of preservatives and not the only use high fructose corn syrup Matthew sugar so that's why when you get here in the United States my ceiling.

Oh, that's a glass bottle of companies Mexican does a Mexican produced bottled Coca-Cola taste different, because it is cane sugar is as eye-opening as cordial cancer.

I was very fun. Now our hour and 1/2.

Yeah, George aquarium is very popular place you aquarium guy you have.

You have mentioned the aquarium and I would but I'm not knocking it, but you have mentioned in aquarium in probably 40% of our cities yeah that's okay for the cities to have aquarium exactly like fish we do and other sea creatures urchins I mention pinball museums and bold voices. Well, there's not one national Atlantic. It's in Acworth not actually in Atlanta now. There's also the Centennial lipid Park is that the Olympics Rex Helmer was 96 when and in Atlanta so Centennial Olympic Park is where the opening ceremonies took place when Ali lit the torch there.

Really cool place to go check on Sverre in Atlanta. Go check out the Centennial Olympic Park. It's interesting because Turner field with a brace play for long time for the longest time was actually built for the Olympic was and was obviously lack of it from repurposed but the design was being built was able to go to for the Olympics and then the Braves can play right and then they ran away from rent all their white fans in Cobb County what the Braves said they ran away from Atlanta.

I also check out the MLK Junior nationals Park recommend okay as well not another staple in Atlanta. Wings are big yeah like chicken wings are giving all right. I actually saw culture steeper with Chris Lee and I were asked to bring Robinson for UNC basketball here on Rieslings from Georgia. We got into a conversation about wings down there down there lemon pepper wings of the is the flavor to go to go to any here's think that the way they are made down in late. If my understanding is extra crispy but just smothered in sauce just run absolutely smothered in sauce. Did you know that Lou Williams NBA player has wings's name got tremendous certain established cost him a suspension during the pandemic. Yet when he left the bubble to go to forget the name of the place he went to me what it was a club strip club magic kingdom magic, yet magic city magics, anything goes. The magic city magic and all my gosh snow white can't believe so because the city and we can get back in the bubble. Yes, Martin yeah is waiting main bathroom and targets are good friends over at sport shop. Would you care about sports radio in the mornings here in the Raleigh area people actually go to that place just for wings negligent do to go orders at that place for wings.

What if the food is good the food is good discussion. You don't have to be there for the entertainment right.

There are restaurants with great bands know if great lounge music. You don't have to go there for the lounge music saying if the wings are good.

The wings are good yeah and apparently to Lou Williams. The lemon pepper wings good enough to get suspended over end of this because we don't before he talked to Jay Farrell. We do want to credit you for not mentioning the varsity all really yeah varsity has doughnuts today. I have no idea. I do not have varsity's trash. Sorry, sorry places called it said daylight daylight donuts will call Atlanta doughnuts name the place been around for 65 years 65 years of Atlanta doughnuts daylight donuts in Atlanta. Fantastic stuff.

Absolutely fantastic. There doing a little bit of a Pro-Am in front of the tour championship Larry Fitzgerald and Tom Glavine are both playing both very very good golfers and I want to give Larry Fitzgerald credit. He is decked out in a Tiger Woods black pants, red mock turtle ensemble good for Larry Fitzgerald. We know he is an enormous in enormous golf and good player and a Tiger Woods freak so and you gotta have a lot of guts to do that and on TV to come out in your Tiger gear so good for him right so that's a tour of Atlanta. By the way, just as a a what's coming up.

Josh Graham will host the show tomorrow and Friday I am gearing up for week zero and I did need a couple days to get ready for Pham you and North Carolina and then we hit the ground running Monday as we walk up to the start of week one. The college football season and then the following week is the first week of the NFL season and that is going to be an absolute me what I can't wait for the open right now. If you're asking me to pick a team it's gonna win the Super Bowl, taken the Buffalo Bills in the Buffalo Bills. June 19, 2006, but it all started May 6, 1997 with the announcement that the Hartford whalers were coming to North Carolina transition of heartbreak. Figuring it out on the fly became fifth anniversary of the Carolina listen Jay Farrell the first time I remember CJ fair was on SNL doing Shaquille O'Neal.

I am a huge fan and still go down the rabbit hole of black Jeopardy and he joins us on the go Josie to be at the Raleigh improv Friday night and Saturday night and am excited to talk to Jay Farrell how you doing I'm doing I'm doing very well so I was when I knew we could speak with you I would I do a little bit of a I went down my own Jay Farrell rabbit hole and you do 200 different impressions 200 and it's implied that I don't even know how you what was the first one you did, I would argue over Godfrey will have a ladder circle for Sally soon forgot you to Sally before they drop before my woman voice when you are closer to anybody.

She was very minimal. Character limit so that even Dexter's Lab and then it was after that it started to get Murphy and then you all that out that you have been active since I was sick. Barbara that is that is six years old so friend Frank had to make some money up to talk to somebody global crazy thing Mary Kay fell by him talking to me doing that with different characters. That's what it was, you know there was a crowd wherever Jay Farrell was there was a crowd you can follow nice go to his website Jay Farrell world.com the so as a kid, forgetting about the impressions for second as a kid I grew up I saw Eddie Murphy at Westbury music fair on Long Island Mayor right he was. Yeah, it was the raw and the delirious air actually some before both of those came out you couldn't do that comedy today really and get away with it. Could become the older folks. The older folks terminology that don't understand the new area and the weight of things will change in the way of things sensitive. There are less inclined to put Into it like they faced direct old-school thinking go to person it might be related.

I was talking to them on the phone and we would talk about monkeypox and in this person would like and what you know you know you get away thinking we'll get them on board for a night at what you take that man you got column home that was so like the older school they don't have all had that I would call a composer and I could not be old-school. You could definitely not. You definitely couldn't do that today may you all types are canceled. Everybody would talk about it. They'll be DT Q community would not of been good for you.

I grew up watching prior albums tapes of Richard Pryor and George Carlin. How big is that it's still for somebody like you or is it all touring mommy. I still go on the road now, but right those take snowman light like like being able to record I do that. That definitely definitely creates your comedic mind on the boy with the 17-year-old I just graduated my uncle Patrick had given me always Richard prior consent, Phil had actually legend my parents a character that give me actually let you play your resume and I would while I was out with regulators. I was still college at the time for Linda. I was listening to Richard Pryor about light before I moved all my classes in the morning when I googled okay I'm okay okay go. He was the crossover in the movies the means for like but but that's what you're doing now to so the evolution of your career is this. I want to get some series are we talking to Jay for the evolution of your career. Is this where you wanted to be because now you're doing voiceover movies you just did an animated movie with the voice was a voice and that is this what you wanted to be or is this just the evolution as the opportunities presented themselves like the scope of what I want to do my career and transition for sale and being able to not only not only do comedic sales builder In a drama In the whatever whatever entertainment is.

You know that that will go all and all of S my left shot shot 12 movies. I couldn't be more blessed and more more thankful to be a part of all projects that are coming out a project I'm dropping with the choking change on Milano, also she, Emily Grace people glass made it a lot of thought that this coming out next month for Paramount and also Comedy Central and then you know that the animated movies were you working with Julie working with Meryl Streep working with Anderson parking are you get these opportunities and you know this is what this is what I wanted the trajectory to be filed again here you know it's it's important to be thankful for vessel and it just expands and keeps going and also I'm happy that everything is everything is still going to like it still felt like a smooth sellout sellout places and that's a good feeling, especially now with all of the dangers of coming out all white folks, you know folks who like to have to risk their lives to entertain, to somebody who I know you if you're coming to see me risking your life you like the lastly really you're really afraid and I really appreciate that my look for my ticket out with my life in a little bad about how I lifted for Jay.

Metaphorically speaking, of course, is a real final thing to Jay Pharaoh. I made a point to not ask you to do an impression but it's I want to do Stephen a Smith, feel free. I am curious.

I'm sure Stephen a got a kick out of you doing Stephen day because he is just super. He's been in the studio before by like he's super generally expressive and flamboyant. Yeah, I mean these guys come the tapas we had basketball here so they show up every once in a while they get to do their show. So while you're here were going to steal you for a few minutes so did Stephen ever reach out and talk about the the other impression about a week ago you got all manager regulations but uncle Patrick same day which is really weird. Both believers missive was really you had a lot of good things to say about my my depression which was cool because you know I had never been done before, and thanks Roberts Michael Roberts Michael Sprint back in 2012 by making you place the mouse right on time but I never really Into it, but it was so familiar familiar to me already to my uncle, you know, so I was able to and when I saw him in person like gasoline but absolutely absolutely love the explicit everybody talking about very good job today to meet because it will be blessed be incredulous. The individuality of liquid like that with thank you very much all people pack the place at the rally and profit, which is actually in Kerry but it's all right James there right thank you very much to do it is this whole thing came together really quickly really just came together last night. I appreciate your time. Safe travels here. I know you're out west right now. Hope everything goes well at the improv and love talked again down the road. Congratulations on all the success you got Jay Pharaoh. The hardest thing to do. The hardest thing to do is to have a comedian on the show and say be funny yeah. The hardest thing like you know like they want to do. They do they want to come on and tell and tell jokes so it just has to be just a natural conversation, but Pharaoh is awesome absolutely awesome.

Stephen is great. The shack is great and again I slipped out another black Jeopardy Rattle less than a you see you seen the debts get went on, not right. King Thompson courses the host and its tremendous the. The best episode though is with Tom Hanks. Yes, Doug yes skinny, can do this for you. What is not a damn thing just I'm sorry I get lost in all of that. This is the gold shell June 19, 2006, but it all started May 6, 1997 the announcement that the Hartford coming to North Carolina transition of heartbreak.

Figuring it out on the fly anniversary of the Carolina listen
