Breaking news the telephone declared war is over now most common call one 800-6843 11 about news out of Afghanistan really doing a remainder of the show, but I did want to start a fight. But I got something quite personal.

That's going on with her family would pitch my dad who is currently not in studio business directed us beer about ILM take it from here, but we will be talking about that coming in the next segment recruit LB joining as we discussed was going on Afghanistan and the response but data picture to you from from here.

While this is really hard but as you know a lot of you have been praying for my brother who contracted covert about two weeks ago little bit more and a lot of excitement. We've gotten thousands of people praying that were praying and send me notes and sending RT notes and I'm sad to report that my brother Scott passed away late last week from Cove, but I want to take this moment to share with you. This is very hard for me this: pandemic is real and inspected the secular family as it is about it. Hundreds of thousands of other families in the United States and millions of families around the world and my brother, my kid brother these was yelling to me by 10 years.

He succumbed to the disease.

After the doctors did everything they could do but he made a decision not to be vaccinated and everybody make some decisions, but decisions unfortunately have real consequences. I chose to be vaccinated. This is not a hoax.

This is important that the government did mandate me to be vaccinated.

I decided in my family decided that that's was the best for us because it does affect other people and unfortunately the persons affected by this really my niece is €19-19-year-old daughter and his wife Judy and it's like I said it's a totally tragic horrible situation is hard to even talk about but so many of you been praying for that I want to let you know what happened and again I want to take precautions.

Talk to your doctor. Take this seriously. This is not pretend this is real in this disease took my brothers life again was unavoidable. Vaccine was aborted was available, chose not to take it difference between probably head cold and his loss of life will you want to make sure we kept you updated with what happened. There's a lot of you call the people called late last week and texting for our texting service in reaching out about this. We are good move on the show discussed that the topic of the day as you've all seem there is chaos in Afghanistan and though personally we are grieving weird or dealing with a personal loss that is grave. We want to make sure we provide you the latest up-to-date information what's happening in Afghanistan you may have watched the show late last week Thursday we were discussing it and was a a shocking moment to see how quickly things change so the next segment will be joined by senior visor. The ACLJ and obviously a former director of national intelligence director now and this is what the spokesperson for the Taliban and said this is what set off the show, which is today is a great day for the Afghan people in the mujahedin. They have witnessed the fruits of their efforts and their sacrifices for 20 years thanks to God the war is over in the country that is coming again it directly from Caliban reducing the founders of taken over practically the country at this point just horrifying imagery people trying to flee and will be discussing that in detail in the next segment as well as the remainder of the show. If you have your thoughts on that. We would love your 800-684-3110 that's 1-800-684-3110 to have your voice heard on the air and a lot of you need to listen private served in Afghanistan, I'd love to hear from you as well.

I wanted hundred 684 31 to 2 commented on Facebook pictures share you all the things you do to support this show mature people see it will be right back for more on the American Center for Law and Justice were engaged in critical issues at home and abroad. Whether it's defending religious freedom.

Protecting those who are persecuted for their faith.

Uncovering corruption in the Washington bureaucracy and fighting to protect life in the courts and in Congress ACLJ would not be able to do any of this without your support for that.

We are grateful. Now there's an opportunity for you to help any way for limited time you can participate in the ACLJ's matching challenge for every dollar you donate $10 gift becomes 20 oh $50 gift becomes 100. This is a critical time for the ACLJ the work we simply would not occur without your generous take part in our matching challenge. Make protecting the constitutional and religious freedoms are most important to you and your family. Give a gift today online ACLJ only one. A society can agree that the most vulnerable invoice is, is there any hope for that culture to survive. And that's exactly what you are saying when you stand with the American Center for Law and Justice, defendant the right to life, we've created a free powerful publication offering a panoramic view of the ACLJ's battle for the unborn is called mission will show you how you are personally support publication includes a look at all major ACLJ Jesus were fighting for the rights of pro-life activist the ramifications of Roe V Wade, 40 years later Planned Parenthood's role in the abortion industry and what Obama care means to the pro-life many ways your membership in the ACLJ is empowering the right to question your free copy of mission in life today online ACLJ/secular. We are joined by Rick Odell, Senior advisor, financial security for policy of the ACLJ and also my dad was joining us on remotely as well. Discussing other chaos is happening.

If you watched the news the past weekend or this morning in Afghanistan to pricing, what are horrific imagery coming from the airports. People are trying to flee the country and we wanted to go to Rick to discuss this reckon I got a lot to say about the current process. We discussed this on Thursday they can even get the Trump ministration was for a pull out of Afghanistan, but clearly we picked the wrong route, it seems, on the way they were handling this look let's be very clear that Trump wanted his shins based withdraw and some of this condition were were not met and Presidential would have adjusted the policy.

If in real time, you're monitoring the conditions that you put in place. What Pres. Biden has done is change that policy and he got rid of all of the conditions based withdraw policies and so what we have seen from the Biden team is no condition but Caliban the government of Afghanistan in order to get the troops out and I think there in lies the disastrous failure I'll give you one example of the conditions that at present trumpet on was that we would leave now military hardware equipment guns behind destroyed. That obviously was a change in policy that the Biden team implemented and they decided to withdraw and leave all the equipment behind clearly much different to go go to that much different strategy involving people who are responding in calls and comments of people and family currently in Kabul and Afghanistan and everywhere the messages that you're getting dad simply are are just heartbreaking because it is. This is a 20 year war that we been at practically most of my life I we been partly a part of this since obscene 9/11 20th anniversary coming up just around the corner. I doubt this is a heartbreaking time for a lot of people were watching what's going on in what sense seemed like a relatively stable place, not that long ago was that the tragedy of courses, look who's been impacted and that is the Afghan soldier the bottle of R's are teens. The translators of the women and girls are going to be treated horribly in Rick one of the things that I am so distressed over the situation is the fact that in a while. I think the consensus was, you know, this kind of like you said, condition, withdrawal out of Afghanistan that the binding frustration just went on full tilt without any real thought.

It's hard to believe the generals allowed this or import the community says they have to do it. I'm not privy what was going on in there, but this was a total miscalculation which could have serious consequences. Having serious consequences and also clear that the Biden patient.

Specifically, Joe Biden directly blamed the intelligence community for this. They said that that they were warned that it would take months and I can tell you through talking to intelligence officials that that's not true that they warned that this was a very serious situation that would immediately go into chaos. And so it's hard to predict order or its credibly naïve to expect our intelligence officials to predict exactly when Alabama would rise what I'm hearing from career fish that they were very clear that chaos would would consume, and that the Biden team didn't have any conditions. And lastly, let's just say I will now know to be true.

We spent the last several months with our military leaders are concerned about critical race theory and an white power and we policing the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff talk about this issue very troubling terms, and it's clear now that they should have been planning more, or the withdraw from Afghanistan and that's not what they were done they took their eye off the ball and now we also available they will bother you commented on this image came around the Pres. Biden meeting with his national security team via Zoom and social media team clearly I not caring that the confidentiality of a lot of the members as you saw, I really shouldn't say this is what we visit every but things are clearly should not of been public and televisual cover, and they put them up on the screen and they took the picture at Camp David and they put it out now look that that's just sloppy work that recklessness from the staff and whoever else approved that Susan Rice is clearly involved here, and so to be able to have some adults who can look at the information and say no you can't release this photo because it shows Intel officials who are undercover and that was never done this just emphasizes the fact that this is JBL you things you Rick. I was thinking here is you have to leave will look at these things in order back to me look at them globally. That's what Barbara grow bigger part of our team as we make assessments on this, but I'm thinking about people at the translators that help our troops so significantly we had former staff that have worked on and served in Afghanistan recurrent staff that observed in Afghanistan and I'm looking at the situation and figure out God. These Afghan citizens that were really assisting the United States and then you had this withdrawal with obviously no planning. The scenes of that are being depicted in the media are just horrific and it makes it really makes you wonder if in fact the next go round up some kind situation like this. How bad can these things play out and what is the thought process. You are the director of national intelligence is me put in this. To avoid this again.

I mean they have to be doing a post assessment year of what has gone wrong. First of all the new rector not so new anymore, but the current director of national intelligence. April hands has gone up a lot of questions to answer because her boss, Joe Biden is through the entire career intelligence community under the bus. He blamed them for not wanting him and so I think the question should be asked what is Abraham thank her team intelligence team Warren Pres. Biden about what could happen or were they wrong because either way, we need to have some sort of transparency in a week, we've called on April hands to be transparent about a report on the Saudi's we called on her to be transparent on the Allene Tucker Carlson's name, and I think this is now a pattern. She's so silent and she's so unable to answer tough questions that we don't actually know what what the truth is, and this just doesn't help the credibility that we've seen over the last couple years that the intelligence community is facing with the American people you know I'm going on so I say this you tweeted out yesterday that the disasters of Syria, Libya and Afghanistan all had Susan Rice Wendy Sherman Joe Biden leading the way. When will the DC type learns I was thinking about this the same people in the Obama administration we have the same horrible resulting now been promoted said that if one is broadcast another running these agencies or the head of the another in the White House when they were the State Department forever might be. I think to myself that they are learning Rick, that's the real tragedy of this is that its history repeating itself again. Susan Rice now has on her record. The disaster in Benghazi, where she took to the airwaves and lied about what was going on that we all saw that on Sunday shows, and now at the the pulling out of Afghanistan and the disastrous unfolding of the Kabul airport and when we see you know Afghans jumping on a claim that is moving and trying to get out the runway and API. Just saw was reporting at least seven people died in that incident.

Any this is this is really scary stuff when you think that the United States credibility and family go back to your point about what does this do for our credibility around the world and I think that not only are our enemies.

Looking at this and what does this message is a send to Iran right now, which is clearly trying to take over a rock. Maybe they're going to look at this and say well now is our time.

So the US military needs to be ready and we need to be learning the lessons of what just happened, but also what does that say to our allies on Taiwan, for instance, who are really concerned about US resolve and Joe Biden's weakness will present bond will speak today at 345. The bill yesterday reported it may be a day or two a couple days. Clearly, the pressure is on.

We will think of what he has to say is he will be an interesting time for a lot of people to watch because of entire generations of them working on right now is to give people full out of even what happened 20 years ago.

9/11 leading into the Taliban leading into the antiwar's entire generator. People who work here who work you two years old I went. When all this started happening so the Iraqi people educated with my a lot of those people are people who are voting currently are currently that they needed no what they're voting for. They also need to know what the history as we work in some interesting pieces coming up very soon. For those that you can spread and share LB pride ACLJ.org.

Thank you Rick for joining us will be back for more on secular only one. A society can agree that the most vulnerable invoice is, is there any hope for that culture to survive.

And that's exactly what you are saying when you stand with the American Center for Law and Justice, defendant the right to life, we've created a free powerful publication offering a panoramic view of the ACLJ's battle for the unborn Gold mission will show you how you personally support publication includes a look at all major ACLJ cases were fighting for the rights of pro-life activist the ramifications of Roe V Wade, 40 years later Planned Parenthood's role in the worship ministry and what Obama care means to the pro-life side of the many ways your membership in the ACLJ is powering the right to question your free copy of mission in life today online ACLJ/the American Center for Law and Justice were engaged in critical issues at home and abroad.

The work we simply would not occur without your generous support is a corner matching challenge today make a difference in the protecting the constitutional and religious freedoms are most important to you and your family. Give a gift today online ACLJ back to secular first, I want to say what you are watching right now on social media on Facebook or YouTube or twitter and the. The declaration of victory on to clarify what that means. We love you, saying, what is that mean because as you saw your headlight is the Taliban declares victory. This is what they said today is a great distance from this Taliban spokesman today is a great day for the Afghan people in the mujahedin they witnessed the fruits of their efforts and their sacrifices for 20 years thanks to God the war is over in the country is very definitive victory will first take a phone call. The related discussion we could also joining us. Might as well Jay Sekulow, let's go to Stephen who is calling in North Carolina. Stephen, you're the dominating all, Afghan and Iraqi veteran only pulled out of the country on mayonnaise, said it all about God over there. You know that it would put the sign tyrants back in ONLY pulled out like we went over there to defeat the Taliban announced Alabama's bacchanal that I can control and I was always one of us on over there was. Defeat the telegraph when we pull out everything though the payoff is Stephen. I deftly sure you submit a lot people feel the same way I do want to say is that Wes Smith set up to thank you for your your your dedication your service. I Wes Smith will be doing later the show. I said, which was easy do it to look at some of the waves and say because I know people are thinking that which is the original mission was to go to, kinda take out Osama bin Laden. Those things were accomplished so your your sacrifice was not in vain. Totally but dad there is that feeling from sure a lot of people who lost loved ones or have like Stephen Regina who who went and fought for our country feel like we just gave up sure and and I will not echo what you said and we go to Rick on this right away that is eBay did not all soldiers men and women that serve our country in Afghanistan did not do this in vain. Initially, the idea was to keep the battle over there so we can come over here because I work as we want portal experience.

They were trying to bring about so written, we will lay this on the feet of the men and women on services that are given their their blood sweat and tears and lives in some cases many cases, to protect us. Rick, this was not a failure of front-line soldiers. This was a failure of the administration's disengagement and the guy will also let's just be very cold here that are men and women who went over to Afghanistan and Iraq. Their service was not needed.

The Taliban that they needed Al Qaeda and that really made sure that we didn't have a caliphate in that region, so they should be incredibly proud of their service. What what I lost.

Rick reconnected with bricks even get a better connection to continue that our conversation sorry about that. I done a lot of calls Killian was going take one more and I think this is one that Rick can speak to when we reconnect with him as well.

This is from Carolyn who is a Georgia online to if you want to be on the air. 1-800-684-3110, 100-684-3110 or Carolyn.

They we have Rick back with Carolyn, thank you are currently going down on the question for Rick what it what you think. Yeah, I think definitely needs.

They already have started take advantage of the situation and to finish what I was saying before, is that the men and women of the US military did incredible service. The political type. The ones who decided to put all of our faith in the government of Afghanistan and the government of Afghanistan failed as are the ones to blame. So I I would say that the US military did an incredible job and it's the government of Afghanistan that wasn't able. After 20 years to stand up. The present difficulties with regular assignment is to set up. I can love improvement. I notice I know it wasn't again you got a read.

We got a double down the center.

Men and women in the military did a phenomenal job and Osama bin Laden was taken out and Al Qaeda was disassembled. Now they regrown a look at Telematics awkward moment… I take them out they weren't able to do it, but we have delayed for two decades.

The ability of the Taliban led Terrace to impact the United States correctly so I think we have to acknowledge the success that are men and women had in that regard. I just think you know the sad part of this is I think that there's a report on the visit to Logan at 6002 for not being a ploy to Afghanistan. There's a lot of yeah there is nothing on 40,000 troops to be deployed. I'm I know of some very specifically that are being deployed or have been deployed. I currently people who are involved in value of your friends and family we have here the ACLJason that's happening, I did want to take you back. This shows you how how quickly things change. This is conversation. I'm asleep from Pres. Biden reporter just last month so just a little over a month ago. Here's the question, you'll you'll take a lesson is going to bite 70 Taliban take over now know is not because you have the Afghan troops at 300,000 well-equipped as well as group is any army in the world and therefore's again something like 75,000: it is not inevitable so as not inevitable. A month ago and we try back Rick and see if if this connection is working on not inevitable.

A month ago it was 90 days that they thought it could be inevitable in that it became you in six days and everything fell apart. What we've learned is equipped does not mean to fight and again we go back to the government of Afghanistan just was not able to after massive amounts of training they weren't able to get… Is it is sad that a lot of people are calling you and again, who lost loved ones or have had family there right now. Finding of many of our friends and family do and honestly pray for them in this chaotic world.

There's not only pray for the Americans and over the limit people all every woman that they were saying that it was that you saw the mass exodus people trying to get on these airplanes in there was not a single woman to be found in that time think they are in hiding because of what they know the Taliban and needs for the so that we can easily lose sight and it's something that it's very easy to go into to lose sight of your own narrative and to be always say that you people to want to you stuck into claiming that their guy had a success or failure. This is time to be honest, it's a look at what's happening, how do we address it. Not just politically, how do we address it from a a global point of view because it's a disaster.

There are certain sure you can point blame is much as you want, but we also are going to have to figure out what the future holds and in data think as we head out to break is maybe the biggest unknown is what the future may hold for that region of the world is a dangerous time for the reason the world is a dangerous time for the administration because I gotta get this right. They got it wrong this time and they got and they can't blame every other administration is more like is that love is been going on for 20 years, so it is time to read look at you got a seriously look at the mistakes that were made herein and knowledgeable. See what the President says this afternoon. What a tragedy in this type here for those people on the ground, putting her own will absolutely own a few will probably be given the second half hour of the show coming up. I love to hear from you because of great calls another; hold already working to get you 100-684-3110, 100-684-3110 rejoined by Wes Smith, our senior military list in the next segment throughout the next half-hour of secular again. It was for the work of the ACL.

Jason is my MetroGel right now, that's it. ACLJ.org will be right back. The American Center for Law and Justice were engaged in critical issues at home and abroad for limited time you can participate in the ACLJ matching challenge for every dollar you donate, it will be managed $10 gift becomes $20, $50 gift becomes 100 you can make a difference in the one who knew protecting the constitutional and religious freedoms are most important to you and your family.

Give a gift today online ACLJ keeping you informed and now is now your hose Logan Sekulow is Logan Sekulow we do another half hour of secular discuss all of what we just absent recruit a lot of my dad remotely. Now if they had been a journey as we Wes Smith curious. Well later the show to discuss all this happening in Afghanistan I we have a performance of the same thing I want to get your view of how this is being treated in Washington you're there right now.

What people's thoughts are, in general, because there is relative silence from from DeSimone people we were looking this morning with some EA. Think of the most people are more socially active like guide and AOC. Those kind of people who are always on the front lines of humanitarian crisis look for that silent.

No response.

Not part of the narrative is what your thoughts here in there is silence, Logan. I think the reason for that much community to zoom out. You may be made rewind a few months there were competing views on whether or not to leave a small force behind.

I think there were competing views in both parties. By the way, there was a pretty clear bipartisan majority for a withdraw. But here's the here's the problem Logan there was a bipartisan majority for an orderly withdrawal and obviously what were seen as anything but. So when you see a situation where the security that is keeping the peace goes first, and that leaves behind allies think about pilots think about translators and also leaves the vulnerable behind without protection, there is no accommodation made Weatherby American visas are transferred for that vulnerable to other countries.

Logan that really leaves you without anybody to defend your flank if you're the ministration nobody wants to defend a disorderly withdrawal.

Even if you think it's time for the war to end, so that's why think you're seeing silence and by the way I look and I just I just can't pass up on the opportunity you're seeing people fall from airplanes as they take off your seen images of fathers with their face in their hands because their 15-year-old daughter Logan think about this a father's 15-year-old daughter is taken from him by armed men, and he doesn't know where she is. The truth is he does know there is no figuratively, where she has been he doesn't know where she is literally living that is a situation that no American, no matter your political affiliation to stand for America's gotta be better than this.

We are, I absolutely agree is heartbreaking to watch as well and I discussed it's a war that's been going on practically our entire life and there's been a discussion we talked on Thursday when it wasn't quite where it is now. I and less mentally destroying the seas connected the correct Wes. I so much as changed since Thursday I guess it's just the part of war. That's unfortunate. Sometimes I things can shift rather quickly and this is has become a disaster.

In the story coming out of the payout.

It's really tragic but basically going on now in all of the dramatic tragedy that will not, at this moment. Part of the total mismanagement… Administration and I'll be honest by the leadership of God are some of the administration or controvert blind, intelligent, not an intelligence failure.

It was a failure by thinking that Caliban in our negotiations with them were a true negotiating partner and not you think you have capabilities to check the chaos there. I how did it end up like there are so many reasons that the product of a corrupt and inept Afghan government financed and propped up by billions of US dollars, combined with built Logan and Afghan military even though we train them and equip them. They did not exhibit courage on the medical bay did not have the will to fight to defend their own country and that is a fact in a given. And then you have the fatalistic Afghan people at large who excepted the Caliban either at the Goodman or they had with the Caliban. So it was chaos. To begin with it.

Of course they are now the bottom why you should have the clear victory and left some of them on the field because by then out think US Virgos have interested half-hour will decide that there was a my thumbnail have him on tomorrow or later this week to discuss about the goals in Afghanistan to make sure there was not ungoverned space where terror could be launched into make sure servicemembers came home safe nursing just absolute mess there right now I the phone lines are pretty much full dark couple open right now. One 800 684 31 tentatively taken the we get a lot of calls today. Look here. If you are that served in Afghanistan.

Your take from this 1-800-684-3110 right back with next segment of secular the American Center for Law and Justice were engaged in critical issues at home and abroad.

Whether it's defending religious freedom. Protecting those who are persecuted for their faith. Uncovering corruption in the Washington bureaucracy fighting to protect life in the courts and in Congress ACLJ would not be able to do any of this without your support for that. We are grateful. Now there's an opportunity for you to help me way for limited time you can participate in the ACLJ's matching challenge for every dollar you donate $10 gift comes 20 oh $50 gift becomes 100. This is a critical time for the ACLJ the work we simply would not occur without your generous tape or matching challenge make a difference in the protecting the constitutional and religious freedoms most important to you and your family. Give a gift today online ACLJ only one. A society can agree that the most vulnerable invoice. Is there any hope for that culture to survive. And that's exactly what you are saying when you stand with the American Center for Law and Justice defend the right to life.

We created a free powerful publication offering a panoramic view of the ACLJ's battle for the unborn is called mission will show you how you are personally publication includes a look at all major ACLJ cases were fighting for the rights of pro-life activist the ramifications of Roe V Wade, 40 years later Planned Parenthood's role in the worship ministry and what Obama care means to the pro-life in many ways your membership in the is empowering the right question for incoming mission in life today online ACLJ/secular phone calls and holy for longtime burials calling Illinois… Lee offer this here present fight about things you thought you wouldn't see was taken from their loyalties that Mary Ellen you're on the life of your loved one. I appreciate you so much okay couple point and I agree with everything that's been said and I think that it's a failure at multiple levels under guidance. But my first thinking in terms of being a no I mean I never went in the military and 76 years old and I should think that the first thing that they think about it. They should be focusing on is now the enemy and the second point, I think it's a failure from that and you know deep state high levels. Whatever of Intel and/or military assessment that it has invaded our government and not something we talked about last week that there was an intelligence assessment that said 90 days before the Taliban takes over, that was just last week that Kabul would fall in 90 days they would be surrounding the city in 30 so that came out last week we talked about on Thursday and then it was maybe 90 hours later if that was so fast that there was no resistance to the Taliban taking over which just shows the the catastrophe of it all is that all the time spent training building up as Joe Biden referenced in the bite earlier that you know they were so equipped, so well-equipped, but when there wasn't the will to fight back or the training to fight back or the government didn't really command the the people in a sense that they supported in the command the support of the people that you you have what happened in Wes. We discussed this and I want to get your thoughts as well that comment. But I do think we also need to address the serve horrifying images that are coming out of her sing as a fan brought up airplanes take off for United States getting evacuated and there are people client clinging on for dear life, and some falling from airplanes. I just trying to get out of their own country or not, the United States, either the people the embassy or early contract workers. These are the people their own country knowing what this means I and I want you to hear from Pres. Biden. I get just about a month ago about the situation in and kind of how things work and rollout will review the say and let's take a listen bite. 19 then think about the imagery you've seen just in the last day zero, which you had as yet entire gauge breaking through the gates. Grandma's six month mistake the Taliban is not the sound of the North Vietnamese Army but not not remotely comparable terms of capability is can be no circumstance you see people be lifted off the roof of a Embassy of the United States from Afghanistan to see that, then let's take a look at the imagery which has of course, as fate would have it, just a month later and from reports of people on the ground is exactly what's happening which is as you can see back exhibit to go back to the image could you have helicopters Marines were Syrian as it did to his landing to evacuate people from the US Embassy and from where contractors are to people out so that's what were seeing directly set the exact opposite Wes of what was kinda presented to ice as what a lot of us thought was honestly a bad thing, which was to at least the majority the people to get our troops the majority trips out, but what a mess coming out of not only the capital city not yet in our ambassador folded the American flag and had left the country no longer operating. Not only is all that going on at Buncombe airbase.

This is a lot of money there.

We lost that thing coming out of our works much worse than the state of the United States leaving Vietnam and Saigon in the 24th Ave. cycle and social media to communicate these dramatic scenes 24 seven as well. Basically Logan Saigon on steroid out airport US aircraft being killed attempting to flee, man, women and children in a desperate panic now in the chaos I could have been at least mitigated if not avoided this this reflects really poor planning by the Biden administration and some unrealistic expectations on the President's part. I maybe got bad information that I think she just doesn't understand the situation on the ground. It's obvious he does not understand the military and how the military works. Same with all that's beside we had a a vent hood served in Afghanistan call and we have work here we've ever whenever Bruce know somebody I will make sure they know their service was not in vain.

You will and I have grown up in an era where this wars lasted the majority of our lives, our parents would tell stories about what happened in Vietnam and leaving Vietnam and and RCC movies all about it for the last 50 years. About that, but we don't want this to be that way, when our soldiers treated that same way that maybe they were back that will absolutely military mixed bag most likely believe it is happily that their frustration over how politicians changed our mission over the years that led us to all of this as well. With great sadness over those we lost you know over 800,000 US soldiers deployed to Afghanistan over the last 20 years.

Over 2400 died tens of thousands wounded Goldstar family. Many are rapidly changing damage in a costly war. And so there are about it. Something this of the humiliation for the United States well the humiliation is not about United States military to accomplish their mission. Logan years ago succubus in Arlington Cemetery just over the weekend and was touring around in and we are out front and saw the big monument. It has a list of all the wars and still Iraq in any of the years in Iraq and Afghanistan still have you known nothing of the end it's 2001, two, and I told him I said hey you know this is something that you know your lifetime. Now using this will be filled in. Soon this will save 2021.

That war is over in Afghanistan sadly was hard to also explain that we when looked well that's not as easy of an answer as one would help all and will Wes brought up the fact that it's an embarrassment for the administration and a foreign-policy disaster but it it's not just that because it's an embarrassment with dire consequences. The fact that the Taliban was able to rush back through as swiftly as they did, will have such a destabilizing effect and that will see ripples throughout the region and if there was a controlled drawdown and into a different way transition from us being the major stabilizing force there. I think that that would have very different consequences whether or not the Taliban eventually would be able to retake the country's is one thing but with how swiftly they just swept through the country and retook it in, and those images of them in the Presidential palace. I think it will definitely send ripples and that embarrassment is a stain on the administration and the ability for the United States to lead in many ways.

In the coming years. I talked to my wife.

Just yesterday she said you brought this up seven months ago a month ago and said just wait just wait because guess really talking about in six, seven, eight months, Israel Isis, the Taliban and Al Qaeda. These are things that we have not even really is a build people's your reference point is why kids never even heard of these things because been relatively quiet and now I regimes change things happen.

Chaos ensues right back to where we were and it's really horrifying in a shame and I hated, and I will.

I wish that there was an easy way to address this, but I think we have to be honest with ourselves and look at the big picture here is Wes that is the time to go yet likely for the majorities.

By the time to go do we handle it correctly. Clearly not a look, everyone is taking notice. You can say this is some conservative news bias. You have CNN, saying, where is the President you're seeing and saying Biden's botched Afghan exit disaster at home. New York Times rust evacuation in Kabul highlights disconnected Washington. I there is there are people saying that but I want to set this up and working. Despite right before we go to break. This is what CNN just said CNN reporter in Afghanistan by number 33 right there chanting death to America, but they seem friendly at the same time it's utterly bizarre. It is an utterly bizarre situation in MMC then you need to figure out who your porters are the scariest because that's a ridiculous thing. One of the statements that I've heard from CNN but I love to hear from you is your viewer or listener, you control the narrative I want to hear from you. 1-800-684-3110 that's 1-800-684-3110 to have your voice heard on the air will take some calls coming up in the excitement took on hold right now getting it and you call any maker through Getty as well. I know this. I want to say last-minute.

Thank you for all the support and support our family during some of these times during this time of crisis within her own family and I appreciate all the comments on getting to respond each and every one of them. I wish I could thank you guys so much. I appreciate only one. A society can agree that the most vulnerable invoice is, is there any hope for that culture to survive. And that's exactly what you are saying when you stand with the American Center for Law and Justice, defendant the right to life, we've created a free powerful publication offering a panoramic view of the ACLJ's battle for the unborn mission will show you how you personally support publication includes a look at all major ACLJ cases were fighting for the rights of pro-life activists. The ramifications of 40 years later Planned Parenthood's role in the worship ministry and what Obama care means to the pro-life many ways your membership is powering the right question for incoming mission in life today online/American Center for Law and Justice were engaged in critical issues at home and abroad. Whether it's defending religious freedom.

Protecting those for their faith. Uncovering corruption in the Washington bureaucracy fighting to protect life reports and in Congress. ACLJ would not be able to do any of this without your support for that. We are grateful. Now there's an opportunity for you to help me way for limited time you can participate in the ACLJ's matching challenge for every dollar you donate $10 gift becomes 20 $50 gift becomes 100. This is a critical time for the ACLJ. The work we simply would not occur without your generous matching challenge make protecting the constitutional and religious freedoms. Most beautiful gift today online okay so we will just show me during the break is we received horrifying imagery and videos of people running it tried to jump on the airplanes and to get themselves out of Afghanistan because of what's happening. I have another's videos and anything you brought up I not see the advice during the break of of bodies falling from airplanes that were trying to cling on and it is you eat immediately honestly invokes the videos from 9/11.

It's sort of the first people trying to get out of their lives, or just giving up and it is a depressing disappointing horrifying look at things and I wish I had better analysis of the something that another minimum incredible treatment completely personally. One of the big parts of this whole piece a big piece of puzzle is going to be explaining to the current generation of people that are in their early 20s, the situation that we all went through September 11 and what led to now because it we were 15 when that happened on our mid-30s and I'm see it, you can we come to judge everything is as a pre-9/11 or post-9/11 world where that the inconveniences that became of air travel.

Whether that is very specific wars that are taken place, and now this other withdrawal and Afghanistan something that should have been a read lease hope to be a more joyous occasion with this war came to an end. Instead, it ends in an abrupt chaos and disaster, and I can't help but put that together 20 years me how poetic most of the day at work couple weeks away. That is hard to not look at it as a war in vain and is as much as we have's talked about this. People called and retakes more calls who have said they felt that way as well, including those who served we don't want to lose sight there was some good that came of it. There was accomplishments that happened Al Qaeda at least as of now I was taken out.

We had the Osama bin Laden was taken out. The world may be safer than substance. It's hard to feel that way were living such chaos right now and when you see what's going on right now in Afghanistan. It was happening around the world. It feels different than any time we've ever lived in and, for I think everyone everyone is part of this. Whether that's the pandemic or whether that is what happened is usually every week there's something new to discuss. That is reprehensible is horrifying, and I hate that for society. I hate that for my kids. I hate that.

For everyone who has tried to do the best they could and sometimes things just go wrong that's forcing right now in one of the pieces of this that I want to make sure we get you is a full history. People say set up the process of me working through this week is to come up with something that is somewhat comprehensive for kids that are 25 we are 30. We knew we were 15 something like five years or five years or 10 years old. The impact of this of 9/11 was not the same as an adult offer must be positive people directly affected, but we were in Florida.

It was it was a different time to make sure we give you a full layout of what happened what's happening now and what could possibly be coming in our future, and will work on that here they sailed. One thing I want to say. Also, as we get to the end of the show went west brought up. This isn't a failure of the soldiers. This is an failure of our military. It's a failure of the administration. But there's a sense of despair, watching some of this imagery as the. The disaster is going on in that USA Today had a headline to send were all our sacrifices wasted war veterans react to stunning Afghanistan collapse and you and I have peers of ours that served multiple tours of duty in Afghanistan. I know a lot of people do have family members outside of the studio that you check in on a veteran today because the mental health issue in the military is is at front and center where people have gone to war scene horrible things been in war and in a very violent war and and we know that that's a thing here and when you see the imagery in the despair we feel and you read a headline like that check in on family members or friends on a day like today absolutely do that as well and make sure that they're hearing from sources that have their back or supportive is very easy. Look this evening they were just noticing a reporter saying the chanting death to America, but it seems friendly at the same time is absurd, disgusting. We called it for years, said it was, but there's no more proof that's maybe the biggest proof of ever take some phone calls wrap up the shout out. Been holding for a long time in Colorado now.

Thanks for all your on their.

Thank you again I see it as the free world is less safe today than we were just a week ago because if Joe Biden said 30 days ago that the Afghan military was one of the best well-equipped militaries in the world. Now the Caliban has already equipment to draw from to again launch attacks against death and even bold in very useful terrorist to to join in the fight.

So no, I don't see us as more security is less secure.

The points in your account, what happens to that weaponry in the canal brought up in something the US could chime in required for take their stuff. Rick said part of the Detroit plan of withdrawal was the destruction of all of that the additional weaponry of the additional things we had brought over there, but that is not part of the current plan of withdrawal because right now they're just getting out work that's just it it it looks like Vietnam. It looks like those imagery they're just getting out of the country as quick as possible and not Esau who knows less of what happens with that but yet doesn't give you a lot of of peace knowing that it was this administration thought this was one of the more well-equipped militaries in the world. Well, I talked to the note company great all our rank-and-file guy in a squad car made a rain garden, they would have told him about the Afghan military note, lack of will, like they were perfectly willing to let Updike and some of them were brave, but as a four. They were well-equipped. They did not have the will to fight. There were a lot of mistakes made over the last 20 years but it is not a mistake of our military. They did their job they did it well. We will get past the tragic day and hopefully historians will look back and say we responded when America was attacked.

We decimated Al Qaeda training camps. We killed Osama bin Laden we sent a message to the world that you cannot attack America and with impunity and get by with it today. It is a cracking chaotic day proud of our military and I did not die.lastly so much. Once again, will destroy the show today. Not only you, watching and listening to those who contributed to this they been in Washington DC will Haynes and studio record now senior advisor and former director of national intelligence, and I see my dad and again I want to think everyone as we wrap up the show not only for your thoughts and comments on this specific topic, but on the personal family crisis that we were going through the last few weeks and obviously is your the first segment.
