Lift

Runs unlike what I like to welcome you to today's encourager of our deliberate title. Today's reading lift during our tour of an aircraft carrier jet fighter pilot explained that planes need a 56 km/h wind to take off on such a short runway to reach the steady breeze. The captain turns his ship into the wind shook the wind come from the planes back. I asked the pilot answered no, the Jets must fly into the wind. That's the only way to achieve lift. God told Joshua to lead his people into the winds that awaited them in the promised land. Joshua required two things internally. He needed to be strong and very courageous and externally. He needed challenges.

This included the daily task of living thousands of Israelites facing walled cities demoralizing defeats Akins theft and continual battles. The wind that blew in Joshua's face would lift his life as long as his thrust came from God's instructions. God said he must be careful to obey all the law do not turn from it to the right or to the left meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful. Are you resolved to follow God's ways no matter what you look for challenges fly boldly into the wind and see your spirit soar.

Today Our Daily Bread devotional Scripture reading from Joshua chapter 1 verses one through nine. After the death of Moses the servant of the Lord, the Lord said to Joshua son of nun, Moses aid Moses my servant is dead now that you and all these people get ready to cross the Jordan River into the land. I'm about to give them to the Israelites. I'll give you every place where you set your foot as I promised Moses. Your territory will extend from the desert to Lebanon, from the great river Euphrates, all the Hittite country to the Mediterranean Sea in the West.

No one will be able to stand against you all the days of your life. As I was with Moses, so I will be with you. I will never leave you nor forsake you.

Be strong and courageous because you will leave these people to inherit the land I swore to their ancestors to give them be strong and very courageous.

Be careful to obey all the law my servant Moses gave you not turn from it to the right or to the left, that you may be successful wherever you go.

Keep this book of the law always on your lips.

Meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it.

Then you will be prosperous and successful. I not commanded you. Be strong and courageous not be afraid to not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go. Let's pray father. Life is hard and often hurts. May our problems lift us closer to you.
