Every Friday evening, the national news my family views concludes the broadcast by highlighting an uplifting story. In contrast to the rest of the news, it’s always a breath of fresh air. A recent “good” Friday story focused on a reporter who had suffered from COVID-19, fully recovered, and then decided to donate plasma to possibly help others in their fight against the virus. At the time the jury was still out on how effective antibodies would be. But when many of us felt helpless and even in light of the discomfort of donating plasma (via needle), she felt it “was a small price to pay for the potential payoff.”

After that Friday broadcast, my family and I always feel encouraged—dare I say hope-filled. That’s the power of the “whatevers” Paul described in Philippians 4: “whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable” (v. 8). Did Paul have in mind plasma donation? Of course not. But did he have in mind sacrificial actions on behalf of someone in need—in other words, Christlike behavior? I’ve no doubt the answer is yes.

But that hopeful news wouldn’t have had its full effect if it hadn’t been broadcast. It’s our privilege as witnesses to God’s goodness to look and listen for the “whatevers” all around us and then share that good news with others that they may be encouraged.

It's always a breath of fresh air. But when many of us felt helpless and even in light of the discomfort of donating plasma by a needle.

She felt it was a small price to pay for the potential payoff after that Friday broadcast my family and I felt encouraged there. I say, hope filled that's the power of the wind Evers Paul described in Philippians chapter 4 whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable.

Did Paul have in mind plasma donation. Of course not. But did he have in mind sacrificial actions on behalf of someone in need. In other words, Christ like behavior. I've no doubt the answer is yes, but that hopeful news wouldn't have had its full effect.

If it hadn't been broadcast. It's our privilege as witnesses to God's goodness to look and listen for the wind Evers all around us and then share that good news with others that they may be encouraged. Today's Our Daily Bread devotional Scripture reading is from Paul's writings to the Philippians chapter 4 verses one through nine. Therefore, my brothers and sisters, you whom I love and long for my joy and crown stand firm in the Lord in this way, dear friends, I plead with you audio and I plead with Santa key to be of the same mind in the Lord yes and I ask you my true companion help these women since they have contended at my side in the cause of the gospel along with Clement and the rest of my coworkers, whose names are in the book of life.

Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again rejoice, let your gentleness be evident to all.

The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition with Thanksgiving present your requests to God and the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable if anything is excellent or praiseworthy think about such things. Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me put it into practice and the God of peace will be with valid spray dear heavenly father, would you help us to put into practice doing what is true and noble and right and pure and lovely, and admirable. And whenever we get distracted and burdened with troubles. Help us to remember to reflect on those beautiful words that we may be strengthened and filled with hope no matter what we face. You are the God of hope, and may we be filled with your hope today and spread it to others. It's in Jesus name that we pray. Amen.
