The following program is recorded content created by the Truth Network. Why is a lot more you why Grimes is called responding to your questions 877-207-2276 right so we have a caller we lost him so adorable. I could never catch points of your summer backyard. It's not such a couple yards over for having fun and nice kind of semi-warm days here in Idaho you know I does been great to really enjoy it. Hey look, let's see him try to think of different things to talk about because there are some things to talk about and and you just there. Just as there's a lot of stuff to talk about it. So the politics but I don't really want to do that right now. Are you except to say that the leftists are trying to sway Roe versus Wade. This something we Christian should be involved in a prayerfully the leftists semi-threatening the Supreme Court with protests sending from the houses doing things that are unlawful and if they get what they want, then society will learn and everybody will learn you can threaten people and you get what you want and it'll just be open for the president and so the, the courts need to not be swayed by the deliberateness that's going on. I would tell you folks tell you again that as it increases us a little persecution of the Christian church you go don't think so. It's a fact is going to happen.

History tells us this is just common sense is not prophecy is just in the sense that I'm prophesying you just hate this is what happens when darkness gets in control and look through history, you'll see the Christians are persecuted or persecuted in Nigeria and Malawi persecuted in America. More and more. It is happening here, and if we Christians will stand up and fight for righteousness then you know will be overrun by the unrighteous and we don't want that to write an afternoon of the show. This is a Christian apologetics show in apologetics is that branch of Christian theology that deals with the defense and the establishment of the Christian faith. Now I know that a lot of you won't know how to do apologetics and I've been thinking about it. Do this for so long that I can see it from 30,000 foot level thinking how can I communicate this to the average person so I'm working on an article on this and I will need to put it on video as well. This is to be very difficult for me to do because there's a lot of concepts involved that what I want to do is make them simple and so I'm doing that way to demonstrate the Christian faith is true, it's a two-part method, but impossible.

To the contrary and then the necessary precondition for intelligibility require the Trinitarian view and lets you connect dots right now, but also only get into the issue. Presuppositions and there is a statement that I've kind of worked on a I'm not the originator of it, but except one day, I thought this is what needs to be done and I found out all that's right have Artie been taught that years ago and in things like this with really smart and some working on that and wanted to share that later and hopefully I can do video video on until it really kinda get in there and him and teach people Christians how to do stuff that I've always got it down, but I want to do that and so you not just just a thought, among many other things are working might not like it. You don't hear him at 65 years old and normal people retire at 65 and I'm just thinking how can I do more, how can I push back the inevitability of death to serve my Lord as long as possible.

Diet and exercise and sleep conduct stuff and prayer. I just don't see how people Christians Rick retire and then their goal in life is to go fishing and watch the sports I don't get that.

How boring fishing but sports like fishing and recreation.

We should be. As Christians we should be seeking to to cater our lives. Ultimately, for the glory of God expansion of his kingdom and that means, and whatever job you've got to do for the glory God you raise children for the glory of God, and it takes years and years and years to do that and on just I'm using is thinking out loud. Hey look for the blind want to give me a call 877-207-2276 Jason from Arizona. Jason welcome around here and appreciate what you do. Thanks for taking my call from so I was a little confused and is why I'm calling so in Romans chapter 9 I was reading that unregenerate believer is a vessel of mercy and also called a vessel of honor and when I came to second payment.

The ball confused me because he made it sound like a Christian can simultaneously be a vessel of honor and dishonor.

If they don't fully clan that live cells from things of the world and the flesh, and this was totally confusing because if God regenerates me, and I'm a vessel of honor.

Why is he telling me I can simultaneously be a vessel of dishonor. If I don't totally clean up my act consecutively to 20 and the gold and silver vessels but also vessels of wood and earthenware and sometimes hundreds of the dishonor that you talk about. Yes, but in Romans nine, by virtue of us being unregenerate believers were vessels of mercy and honor.

But then he tells Timothy we simultaneously can be a vessel of dishonor. If we don't cleanse ourselves that I like black okay so first of all the diverse and we talk about a second the two 2021. Therefore, if anyone cleanses himself in these things, he will be a vessel of honor and somewhat things is he talking about and talking on that certain well it's the context and you know the diligent result present yourself approved to God's workmen to 15 is a very significant verse of my life story is a workman who does not need to be ashamed, accurately handling truth, but avoid worldly and empty chatter, for it will lead to further ungodliness, and their talk will spread like gangrene.

Among them, Hymenaeus and finally to soak flashing named individuals to watch out for men who have gone astray from the truth saying that the resurrection has already taken place and they upset the faith of some. Nevertheless, stand firm unless the firm foundation of God stands, having the seal, the Lord knows who are his and everyone who names of the Lord is to abstain from wickedness now in a large house there are not only golden vessel silver vessels but also vessels for wood and earthenware and sometimes on the dishonor. Therefore, if anyone cleanses himself from these things shall be a vessel of honor, sanctified useful to the master prepared for every good work. So the context here is talking about not not delving into worldly and empty chatter that Lisa ungodliness empty talk, etc. teaching false doctrines like the resurrection is already happened. Flee from your phone those things was false teachings and in that sense your cleansing yourself and you be a vessel for honor, because if you're believing in teaching false things is a lot of like the NAR people to new laptop information. People do not vessels of honor not sent this to me, not saved because in Romans chapter 9 was going on in Romans nine is different than in second Timothy 220 and 21 because what he's talking about in Romans nine is his sovereignty over creation and election and damnation.

And that's what he's talking about there Romans, Paul is talking about the right of God to be able to make one vessel for honorable use and another vessel person for destruction. That's what he's talking about then the sovereignty and the right of God to do this and that he doesn't like don't like that that's what it says so I believe I was following you logically follow you met with a different sense. Okay, yeah, I appreciate that. I feel like logically agree with everything you just said.

I'm just I was tripped up in my mind about you know if I'm a vessel of honor as a believer already.

Christ already saved me. I'm regenerated.

I'm a vessel of mercy and it sounded like if I don't fully cleanse myself that I can simultaneously be a vessel of dishonor, which makes no sense logically to make sure – and as you well. I'm already a vessel of honor. I'm already here all your already a vessel of honor. So take what what you porting the meaning in one context over to another context and that's why there's confusion in Romans now I see what I just I see what I did. Thank you just mailed it right there. Okay, I still got a stupid right now you know you should not this is a common thing to do and so is called illegitimate totality transfer. It's a fancy term for saying that a word has a variety of meanings in its usage in different contexts. The word green.

For example, can mean money or sick or envy or naïve, you know, a color so it can mean different things to different contexts and so what some people do have a word like say the word vessel or the word honor or vessels of honor, the phrase the night say over here.

It means that so therefore must take does that from their mood to hear what I did and so what is normal is normal and this is the kind of thing that causes people to stumble but wants to go, then you realize that God is using the word slightly differently than we do in different contexts and that opens what made things that made me think that real quick that that the that I was getting into his salvation by works mentality like well if I don't like I'm doing real good in one area but if I fit another area or if a believer doesn't get victory over cigarettes or overeating or gluttony or something there a vessel of dishonor that they can go to hell now because I was just all confused in my mind. You know he'll know if your saved you can go to hell.

You can't lose your salvation because Jesus said that the will of the father that he lose none. Jesus always does will to father John 329 correct cross-reference with John 637 to 40. And so Jesus canceled the send your send that the cross Colossians 214 so you can't be lost otherwise, Jesus failed so the issue here usually is and I don't mean this in any any insulting way because I've I've certainly been guilty of this that when you come the Texan is confusing you. It's your the problem not it. And I mean that I called you, well you know it's kind of it's kind is dubious if you call a guy in the red unit slick and say what is he think the way you explained it met that what I was bringing one of the word to a hold of passage you use that fancy terminology. That's what I was doing anyway they would get a break holder you done yet. Okay folks for the lines McCauley 772-0722 max Y call 770776 charismatic slave back to the show to open lines 87720722768.

You know what it was just a break. I was work work invertebrate and the current website. If you have any suggestions for the card website. See fixes that you want to have just whatever it is. If you been on the site go you know what this would be nice to be anything, just they would like you to do just email made in Fort Condor got asked the people in the chat room if they would give some suggestions because of working with the webmaster on a few things we need to get taken care of. So hey just ask you know all right is get back to Jason from Arizona. Jason will calm on the air will think about you after that last question brilliantly. I appreciate that I was as good a make out one last comment that I bought your book notes on Calvinism and what one thing that really helped me and I appreciate it is what you mentioned in Hebrews 13, five, that the Lord will never leave us nor forsake us. But in the Greek you said that. Which means there's not even a possum ability that the Lord will leave his children, and I thought I saw that Scripture in a whole new light. No one ever told me in all of my lifetime that there's not even a possibility.

Jesus would leave me if I wanted it gets. That's right, you see, he will never desert you who may and it's two words not ever. Not not. It cannot never ever. It's that kind of an emphasis in the Greek. He says I blows my mind that I can go so long in my life and never know these things like that all the church services that Gandhi met no one ever. That's when I realize I have to study the word because CQ so I'm telling me you make me want to start a church. Every time I hear something like that.

I wish I could start at the time I don't have the stomach to start a church record teach people come in and need help on the do this do that and teach people to Scripture and teach them stuff like this. I'd love to dream well when when someone gets it like we hear something but when it gets in our heart like it like if you really take that into your heart that will there's not even a possibility that changes our life. Matt, I mean I mean I was always taught the opposite. Like insecurity and so I you know raised around legalists and so forth and Someone like faith middle. This is not even possible. What you're worried about is not even a possibility that change my life. Thank you very much God bless you Matt, no problem, and by the way at school may not make models. Sorry to say maintains no way. Just try like that it would be nice unless mnemonic away who maintains no way it cannot happen and he says I will never desert you may never just never, never desert you, nor will I ever forsake you.

It's booming again. It's in the Gazette carries a Greek emphasis of not possible now.

Think about if that doesn't change one's life. I don't know what would will it's it's very useful is very useful because you know I'm a just public confession. Here okay is confession time. No, I actually struggle with sin. Believe it or not I struggle with. Soon I struggle with things I struggle with thoughts.

I thought with the attitudes, lack of right attitudes, etc. and I wonder, why is God bothering with me.

Oh, because he will never leave. He cannot from eternity. He has left me his love you from eternity you think about this.

He called you from eternity. You were chosen before the foundation of the world in him. Ephesians 14.

That means God's thoughts of you have been Col. and they are infinite number and his love for you matches that he cannot leave you or forsake you.

You may seek to rebel against him but he can never forsake his commitment to you. This is the security we have in Christ.

And it's heartwarming doesn't mean it's okay to sin, but it means he loves me anyway no matter what I do it how I fail. I want to honor him and love him multiple that's that's part of the Christian right there in the text, but what I confirmed what you wrote that. That means no possibility that changed my life. This was about. I don't know at all. Five months ago or something in it really changed my life and I appreciate it, but no one told me that in.

I realize I must, must lose your temper so no next collars and can hear you Jason. So if you're talking and if you can hear me can understand her meaning of the before I go on, and Keith, can you hear me okay the skiing type of entity turning against him.

We just lost the connection that you can any okay good.

Let's just move along Liska to Alberto from Georgia Gilberto welcome here right somebody like you, they tell you that that was what I believe what they believe, are you persuade them that my believe what they're not on. I don't respect I respect any non-Christians believe that is not based in truth is not based in Scripture based on the perfection and work of Jesus Christ about respecting this one may have an atheist may have a few that God doesn't exist. I respect your view. No one, not I will tolerate your your view, but I'm not respecting showing honor to it. That's not can happen. They have the right to that error and that lie respecting so the more discerning son affects on the right track what you're asking if they get like that like me will give you their third theme of the book, not in the Bible at all about fault then think that he owed the seller that the my believe that the one who you are, you persuade them make their their own narrowminded. They thought what they think the word there's no there's no accountability to no one but those right people write their own narrowminded or whatever with little or whoever information negative from the Shakespeare molding. Whether they think so yummy yummy blog about an idea that had a question about the question you want to jump in her well and party with think about it and will start this comment and will follow the great now have gone on keep saying the same thing. I haven't heard him.

I don't know who you are now so I don't know ranking.

Regardless, I forgot that folders break hey Chuck after the break. If you can call me 772077657707777207762 Chuck from Burlington Chuck welcome you near Matt, I will really doubt my mind. I have backed away toward now keep in storage. You keep it start out. That's not worth right leg.

Yeah, now with he said that when the victim right of right now that it right the mountain… It for any contributed to is called the burned-out region and the burned-out region historically is in North America and the New England area and when Finney preached he taught the idea that you can lose your salvation that you keep it by your sanctification in your walk with God and called the burned-out region because it became popular that area and a lot of people struggled because of the bad theology that Finney taught and a lot of people don't know this about that time in that same area is where Mormonism Jehovah's Witnesses and Christian science all started so personally I believe there's a connection because Finney made a lot of exegetical theological mistakes.

He did not lay the foundation for security in Christ.

It's based on the grace and the solid can be lost.

He did not base it in the sovereignty and the grace of God, but in God's grace, combined with our efforts and our sincerity, and that through those, then by the combination, you keep yourself right with God.

This is what Mormonism teaches Jehovah's Witnesses, teach Christian science teaches all started in the burned-out region so Finney contributed to the hot and hung his wife keep that book in storage.

It's not worth much except for the issue of research on this. Not so good theology. This is why it's important judgment understand your faith in the glaucoma teach us a little bit got nobody waiting right now. We lost him. So if you would give me a call please do 877-207-2276 so understanding theology is not something just for pastors and seminary professors is for the average Christian on Thursday nights. I'm teaching a Bible study house and what I'm doing and have been doing is when I teach if I was asked to start a study by somebody so I did what I teach. When I go to Scripture. For example, when I trying to say this is what it says this is this is endlessly related versus listen to some Greek and then I find that as I go through Scripture.

I see theological perspectives that were relative to the text and what I often do very often is. I will teach out of the text and say this is related to this topic and I'll do a topical study for a few minutes and say this is why this is like this and sick. This is how it relates to the text now when I'm been to Bible studies over the years people don't generally do that kind of thing that usually go verse by verse through a text say what the text means and then they go on this to the next verse for the next prick up your liver might be okay for what I do is that plus attached the theology that is related to whatever topic whatever verse were going through and explain a broader context and I have found from the people's comments that the value that a great deal. It's not that I be able to tell them the relationship of the king to cut to it. You will not why Nestorianism is false. I understand that but they don't and I don't mean out might explain it once and say here's what this is what talk about some or we can go over tomorrow. Don't expect people to have all that. That's okay, but I've been told many times over the years that people really appreciate the theology cc. Think of the theology as the skeleton and the Bible study as the flesh and blood. And that's okay. The theology is that foundation and here's an example of the foundation. Jesus is Lord, real simple theological perspective was it mean to say that Jesus is Lord will three words Jesus, we know that he is the one who has two distinct natures, divine nature and human nature in this union of the divine and the human is called the hypostatic union and that he had the attributes of both natures, that he was both divine and human and is called the communication of the properties because he said I am thirsty I'll be with you always. So when he said these things, the man Jesus was claiming to have these attributes.

Jesus is Lord, doubt is the relationship between who he is and the relationship of lordship to him, Lord, what does that mean in the Greek it screwing us and that word is used in different contexts, it can be used in the concept types of calling Abraham, Lord, work Sarah called him Lord in their marriage which is interesting theological perspective marriage but then Jesus is also called floor and so in what sense is that necessary when when we say Jesus is Lord were talking about his position and his deity and his sovereignty is to lordship me. So you see the simple statement and I was just a low level delving into but that's theology is when you say Jesus is Lord and then you will understand that he is the sovereign king, and he goes to John for he makes the woman at the well is had five husbands turns out in history. Verse five historical events that occurred in that area that were significant to the Samaritans.

I don't know them I could I would never hearing about this study it, but there is for five husbands. Five and Jesus went through specifically to a well very well that Abraham and Isaac Winick meant to his bride. At the well and Jacob's well and I drink out of that very well believe it or not. Still, there you go to it. And so in it over Israel is actually just so bank which so then you go in what so he's Lord that means you sovereign so he went to the well where Abraham and Isaac met the bride think about that because Abraham and Isaac in Genesis 22 they went up to the amount and Abraham, the father offered the son on wood and Eliezer are the helper went with them to the mountain. The father the son went up and then there was a ram caught in a thicket of thorns and Jesus poured the thorns on his brow, etc. I go to that more and then it says Abraham went down.

It doesn't say Jesus went down and Abraham went down and then then Isaac is there and Jesus is Johnny 56 Abraham rejoiced to see my day and he saw it and was glad this was referring to the representation of the crucifixion in the offering of the son by the father and most historians are red think the hill that Isaac was offered on is the very same hill that Jesus was offered on and took three days for them to get to that hill, Jesus and the great three days all these parallels to go back down that hill and is a well and that's the well is differences of opinion about the stuff anyway. There's as well and that that they went to eventually went down and traveled to a well and that well is representative of goat the well of life of who Christ is and if Christ ordained to his Lordship to meet that woman at that. Well, from that time that a significant historically from so long ago that we say Jesus is Lord we can understand more.

Whoa this is arranged he is doing this in teaching in the process, and then he says says that that you worship must worship in spirit and truth and he is commanding out of his Lordship would worship should be all this theology takes is relevant to the text study and I like to show people two things. The text says how the theology relates to their five open lines were to give a call, flesh segment 877207). Y. Call 77077 charismatic slave back at what we have for line 772076.

Let's get to Dion from Salt Lake City near the Bible you know and not that there's no verse that says knowingly willing to commit some 20 there's a verse that says if we go on sinning willfully after receiving knowledge of the truth are no longer make a sacrifice percent that she was 1026 two think that's only referring to your no, the book of Hebrews is written to the Hebrews and if you go to the book of Hebrews, you'll see that there's a great deal of reference to Old Testament stuff all over the place are not hundreds of references privately and allusions a quote and work on allusion.

What does mean a direct quote, but is referencing. And so is talking to the Jews and if they reject the going sinning willfully after receiving all the truth of who Jesus is and they rejected that Jesus is there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins because the Jews thought that they had to practice sacrifice for sins in order to be saved, that they had to go to the temple ceremonies they had to go through all kinds of stuff in order to be saved at her sins forgiven but know now that Jesus is here. The temple is no longer needed no longer necessary. So if they go on sinning willfully. In other words there continuing to believe that they need this temple work in order to be saved after receipt of the knowledge of project Jesus is what is really done there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, they don't have it because there isn't anything else.

Okay that's what's going on. Not only weren't they were Christians and went saved people who teach that you have to. This is the context of the Hebrews who still had the temple and hurts temple with a wood going offer sacrifices, especially the ways of God. And so they thought that the temple was necessary, but because the temple veil was destroyed when Christ was crucified. That means that God no longer needed the temple because the blood had been shed so the veiled distraction sit that designates the destruction of the separation of the holy place in the holy of holies with the high priest had to go in order to make sacrifice and so with the Jews did as they replaced. They've tried to fix the veil to put it back in the temple so they can continue their temple work and thought telling them and it's all San Miguel because they don't understand who Christ is and so Christ or Paul ugly. Paul wrote he was but he says that if we go on sinning willfully after receiving knowledge of the truth. If we go on rejecting who Christ is continuing in our sin. You're saying that there here's your rejecting this way to the Hebrews class was written to the back of it in Hebrews 1019, just a few verses earlier says therefore, brethren, since we have confidence to enter the holy place by the blood of Jesus by a new and living way which he inaugurated for us through the veil, that is, his flesh, and since we have a great priest over the house of God to notice what's going on. He's talking about the holy place the blood the veil the house of God. This is all language aimed at the Jews and he says let us draw near with a sincere heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled clean from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water and sprinkled is in reference to the Old Testament temple work with. It would take the blood they would sprinkle objects and/or people to designate their cleansing sprinkled clean from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water washing does not mean immersion, but the application of water is a sprinkling upon them as well. This is the Old Testament system and says let us hold fast the confession of our hope and without wavering, for he who is promised is faithful and let us consider how to stimulate one another to love and good deeds, not forsaking the assembling together together, for if we go on sinning willfully after receipt of the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice percent so he's talking to the Hebrews because you know that the context of how much is referencing the Old Testament is talking to the people at 1 foot in the Old Testament 1 foot and works righteousness. 1 foot in the law. 1 foot in temple work. Anything we don't need that is to Christ. You don't need the veil anymore. You don't need this temple work and if you go on sinning willfully saying to participate and that is now sinful because they have the knowledge who Christ is. He's the fulfillment of the temple work and so far so therefore the temple work is no longer necessary, but they're keeping it. Therefore, there in sin and because of that there ultimately rejecting the sacrifice of Christ because there say that the continuing their own sacrificial system. The nurse know sacrifice for sins left because it's already taken and done by Christ God in flesh and that's why sins are no longer make a sacrifice percent or you don't have anything you yes until they die. People need to in this context. If those people would've rejected their temple work rejected the necessity of that veil rejected their own works based upon what they do there and turn to Christ to complete everything and that he is the one who entered hold in the holy place by his own blood that we could enter the sacrifice of Christ then they trusted that yes then they can have that repentance and forgiveness of sins. Otherwise they won't.

God, no, no talking here in the context of the Hebrews they were not truly by believers. True believers don't continuing their temple work for forgiveness of sins and stuff like that.

The temple is no longer necessary because the veil was destroyed by God and through Christ fulfilled.

That's the context of Hebrews 1026 so that's what that means you we don't have temple today because we don't need to temple today because we have Jesus and so those were not Christian right because Christians aren't receipt will sit willfully sinning at received the knowledge of the truth and therefore have no sacrifice of sins remaining because they trust in Christ, he is the ultimate check.

He's old on hold and use open. He's the ultimate sacrifice of sin.

So even though a Christian may mess up is not denying the true sacrifice, which is what the Hebrews were doing okay. Jan was only that I keep telling you they were not because they were putting their hope and trust in the continuation of the temple work there not questions. There okay listen.

I keep telling you the same thing and you keep seeming to ignore it and so getting a little used giant Dan Dan there is not talking about Christians here talk about the Jews, the Hebrews going back to the temple. This is not talking about Christians. Christians can't lose their salvation. Okay, so not know that I you I not write certain no it's applying to the Jews back then were doing temple work. I got okay oh my yes can as long as it's filtered through the truth. The revelation of the New Testament.

And that's what's happening right Hebrews.

So Paul Leopold ordered his clarifying what's going on by speaking to the Jews in the language they understand in their temple work and he saying is no longer necessary because Jesus did and for them to go back to the temple is to ultimately reject that sacrifice. Therefore there's no longer remains a sacrifice for sins okay because going back to the temple sacrificial system right okay okay okay I will write you welcome. Good question. All right, let's get on with Chuck from Burlington, North Carolina Chuck welcome you here yes or my calling back and like another quick group like Dr. Ali Kirk running on route 3.
