This is the Truth Network welcome to mannitol on brought to you by TA W. CM is talking and walking Christian men's ministry where they are devoted to breaking down the walls of race, age, challenging them to take their God assigned as our host will Hardy and Roy Jones Junior a black eye and a white man talk radio will have the white guy, but we do have a panic guy today. My brother in Christ, we will be talking to pass the Leroy Marino and he's a been a blessing to me. He's been a blessing to man talk and we're going to be talking about our topic is building belief, one brick at a time when these guys are. They are dedicated to the ministry that dedicated to service, he loves the Lord.

He's a great great friend and brother in Christ, so I want to introduce Pastor Leroy Marino in and asked him to just introduce himself and talk a little bit about himself. This is Leroy Marino, Pastor Leroy Marino serving from the way church in High Point, North Carolina and senior pastor Luciano Coelho switches are my father physical father) spiritual father to same time and were serving underneath him and in the ministry that God has placed in his life and as a family we are serving the Lord there in High Point and known as the way church basically we are from Hispanic background I was born and raised here in High Point while they lived here all my life.

Born and raised here in High Point with the Hispanic descent. Basically, parents are from Mexico and there from my son done a valuable which probably will be some of the conversation will have tonight from the church being built Mexico out right but ISO there from some done a little and we have a church located in High Point as well and is living life living Lord.

Praise God. Yes, I am 34 years old 34 years old, married, have a wife and beautiful baby boy two years old about to turn three in November, so eyes definitely a blessing from the Lord and always our miracle baby. We pray for him many many many years and and God bless. This would, with one baby boy were still praying for another one. Praise God transferred all right, but I was to blame for another one. But we were grateful for what God has given us in and number small family of three, basically. And there is for their three brothers, one sister all serving the Lord.

Praise God I have another brother in Greenville South Carolina also ordains an ordained minister as well. My older brothers involved in our leadership team here at the church as well, and sister. She's in University southern Wesleyan University. Basically trying to finish her credentials out there so but that's about it. Praise God.

I know pastor you you just swarmed around, you know, family members who are born again and and that's wonderful because I think when you have family who really close to you and you close to them. Yeah, you know that can do nothing but strengthen you think you know the body of Christ and and you, in particular in bringing God's message for to the people and just addressing all of the needs that the people have you know as they come, so talk a little bit about the church and how you guys got started, you know, we are so silly earlier. I think it's important to move when God tells you to move you know, stepping out in faith and in I know we were in a situation where we prayed for God to give us a sign per se right for forgot to say hey you know it's your time to start and it was scary. You know, especially coming into ministry. I remember the first time is when the God began to call my father to ministry and my mom had struggled for many years with kidney failure and I remember them making a promise to the Lord and in one of those promises was God. If you restore health. They would give their lives to ministry and God did it was just such a long story on my mom's past miracles. But to make a short day God healed her provided super miraculously for a kidney to be transplanted into her the first time in and she was able to get awfully dialysis and monitor kidney transplant basically run you kidney transplant that was given directly to her and you know it's we didn't have to go on a waiting list or anything that was divinely ordained while supernatural and I remember else was one of the biggest I guess pushes towards what God was calling us to do towards ministry and the first time that my father, my mom came to us and they asked us is that we all think about starting church and we've grew up grew like a grown up in the church we grew up in church and I just never pictured myself being involved would like being a pastor you know.

Hey, I'll help out to do what I gotta do but never to that point to where they say you know you should we. We should have started searching and I never tell my dad that's weird, I don't I don't I don't I don't think that's for us that it was all my plans as it was in and not but in our plans and I got split exactly you know in is not what I pictured myself doing the net timeframe and I remember God began to deal with us and so we we we decided to take a moment of prayer and take a moment of so it's a really good impact by the Lord and we took out we took a 10 month internship under a sister younger church and they they formed us, discipled us and that's where I really began to understand my calling you know is a this is what God is calling you to do and I remember passing through all the circumstances. My mom's health and asking God. God what it would why we have to go through this.

You know why we have to go to sickness and all the stuff that was really really know it's complicated, and especially growing up in and not been able to do things that you normally would've done and at a high school young age and and having to deal with sickness being at the hospital. Learn how to cook for yourself. Learn how to dress yourself, you know run in my dad's business. At the same time so that we will go to bankrupt what he was in the hospital 24 seven. My mom, you know, so it's like we had a mature quickly and I remember going to the internship in and asking the Lord, Lord, what we go through this seems like it's all been to prepare you for ministry and how it will seduce. It's crazy. You know, I understood my call and then and it took 10 months of just you know, meditating, spend some of the Lord being radically discipled learning being thrown full full-blown into ministry in high schools preaching the gospel. It's it was intense. It was intense and and informed our lives so we went to this internship and that's where God really began to touch our hearts towards ministry. So we come back in God radically changed us and we were on fire for the floor in my dad again see in the position that got a very place that is hard to start church you can ask is what you think about church this time. You know now that you matured a little you actually now that you found Eli, and I think it was important that he consider our opinion, because when you're serving the Lord is not just one person family you know and and I believe that that's what's really gotten us through a lot of hard times, you know, serving the Lord together as a family and being involved together in ministry.

And you know it's it's it's difficult, it is difficult because everybody's looking at you every was they was going on you, what you doing you know but it's it's it's a blessing when when you can serve together as a family and and move towards the gospel in an annual think together the same way at the same vision and not have any opposition and it. It's interesting because so many times God calls us in the ministry and is calling us together as a family you know to move forward and preach the gospel together and got begin prepare us away before we even imagined it. You know, my brothers and I grew up learning how to play instruments all of us.

Every single one of us plays instrument you know I play guitar my older brother plays the base model. Her younger brother, learn how to play the my older brother plays the drums and my younger brother plays the base and we started the church, we had the full bath while you believe that you know here's he forgot it or even preparedness and we never pictured it that way and I remember it's crazy because ever since I was little my mom would for your mom had a lot to do with ministry, she would always push us towards church and I want to say it's one of the reasons why my dad became really involved in the church because of the prayer of my mom, you know, and my dad would always go to church. He was illegal, he would help out and everything. It wasn't until my mom's prayers to really say one day your to be preaching the gospel, you know that it really just led them on a pathway towards full-time ministry from the Lord, you know, and MS that tested the beauty I think of the gospel in the beauty of of Jesus Christ, because whatever one family member does it affects the entire family and all and and going forward and how God is going to affect them is how the parents respond to God, you know, because the children are there and there there there watching for you so you unlike UCI was running from the Lord. I did not want to be a pastor preacher of anything you mean it, but it seems like when I look back on now. Every time I attempted to do something God would redirect me you know I wanted to be a dentist yet. If you believe that I want to be administered so I'm going to be a been a somewhat go down here to the school and and Matt, take the MCAT the dance and and let the Lord just blessed but when I went there I took the DAT and a happy interview with the student. But when I had the interview with the professor. I could see God gave me some discernment and I could see he didn't want me there. This guy did not want me there and so I'm I'm looking at. He was so I'm coming, I'm sitting down and he never takes his eyes off me just just you will just to stare and and so I'm looking back and I hadn't been born again that long, you know, I'm looking back this guy. I'm God is giving some discernment. This is not for you. This is not for you yet and so I went and you are happy interview with him. I never found out what what, marks or things that he gave me during the interview if it was a yay or nay or anything like that and I just left, and then God redirected me. I want to go with.

I want to go back into the military as an officer while God redirected me.

I was on go to ROTC yet.said no it's not for you because I have been in the military was like if I go back go out to this universe and even got with the first Lieut. East told me so yeah I'll write a letter for you guys if you want to go back to the school, wrote a nice letter for me.

You know, and so off I go down to Alabama. Well, we when we come back.

This is this is really good because I had to share like this rant off what we come back with what I have more conversation with Pastor Leroy blessed brother in Christ and just one who love the Lord and so we come back have more conversations we just want to get into some deep stuff. Praise God that day. I love that will come back. Praise God when we're back here and talk radio here with Pastor Leroy and it's just been a blessing so now you all have been introduced, the pastor, Leroy, some the things that God's testimony and some got things God blessed him to go through to get the worry is now so now we want to talk about the church here in the US that God had blessed him to be pastor over him and his dad and so how did you guys get started you in and getting all the church together what what some of the things that you had to endure what is always a challenge.

I believe every pastor has this challenge of where we can meet you know where we can have our building and and and that's where the next phase of our lives began right. We started in the basement of my dad's house, the basement of my dad's house and it was a family. That's the way we started it was a family. Eventually we start to get another friends involved. They started coming in. I got to the point that we were like 80 people in the basement of my dad's house and it was packed every Sunday packed, you know, it was great because we had food and everything, but we were to be really really really packed and we began to believe God for building you know and this is where the big step of faith came into play, and I think faith without action is dead and on my dad was always a man of faith, but he was also a major person of action. You know, he began we began to look for places we began to pray. We begin to look fasting appraised fast God prepare way open a door if is not where you want us close that door and we saw multiple buildings and we have any finances you know and it was 2008 recession, you know, and it was at time where nobody would lend money, nobody would lend money, nobody would let you let alone let you borrow for a church you know so well we we begin to pray about it and said God you know provide finances one way or another for us to have ability and we happen to we found a place you know and and it was it was a small place. It wasn't. It was in bigger anything but it was it was owner finance and we will set you know in our minds every logically everything look great.

You know this is the owners willing to finances with the with the down payment. All we gotta do is get the down payment raised up and everything and we started getting into the paperwork and everything but the interest rate was really high superhigh. We didn't feel peace about it and that's when God say no one is way is not a wise decision.

So we step out of the deal wouldn't go through rely God. Where do we go now. We had a couple months before we had circled his mega building is crazy mega building 40,000 ft.² three floors abandoned and we rely God real and dream big. What if we can get that place but it a course it wasn't for sale.

It was a recession. I mean basically everything was closing down overlay. This is go look at it.

Maybe it's for sale. This time, and sure enough we go back to the building and they have a for sale sign look at that know it and you know we we we found a door that was open underneath the storage room or whatever we get in. We start looking around and is just it was a mega building.

You know 40,000 ft.² week with his huge huge property and we began to believe God for that. And we say this is this is going to be the church one way or another guys and provide for this building while and so we get we get in contact with our realtor realtor think I was a faith believing Christian as well and crazy faith that always help all you that always helps.

So we get into start talking to him about a relay look this is a big property.

Of course the property needed a lot of work coming a lot of work half of the roof with them. Once I was caving in your lot. It wasn't even establishes a church so they had to be re-zoned for a charge letter permits need to be pulled impossible things that we us as he says, you know people. It would've taken a lot longer to do if it wasn't for God and so I and meanwhile we were growing. We have anywhere else to go and we we we were trying to get this building and one Sunday we had a visitor come in from another church and he was my it was my debt. When my dad's contractors basically and he was involved in his church tremendously and he said you know what I see a problem here is like you're too big for the space you got to talk to my pastor to see we can get you over at our church and that's where my brother will wow is crazy. I had my brother Roy there because of that association and drove basically and they let us use their youth building while we grew, while the whole church thing was getting figured out where were going to go and everything you know it and got open a door for us. There is one so you know, we were able to sit meet at the youth center. While we started getting the church figured out in our realtor told us something crazies way to send them a ridiculous low offer is like they're desperate to sell. You know I mean and we're like mentor never to give us that building for that price is let us do it.

The worst they can say is no. So really okay submit the bill. Sure enough, it didn't take long and they said yes to the deal. They didn't argue back. One time I sit taken all four handsets all got a 40,000 square-foot but feel a bit of building Saints of God. Do you hear that the plaster Leroy right beside it on the inside adjustment what God had done through them so you know if if he if God can do it for these brothers and sisters. He can do it for you and and just just hang in there because God is able could continue so you know, God did that for us and and it was all him. We we prayed about a got open the doors and we begin a step taken steps of action God would we need to do you know so then of course the whole down payment and came to play.

So my dad decided to say he said you know what I let a piece of equipment. The construction industry had taken a big dive and he had a lot of heavy duty equipment that we were using more because they were building nothing so my dad said hail so my equipment and would just use it as a down payment. He sold all he sold it all into the ministry while in and that's how we got our down payment and it sold at the price we needed so that that could be a possibility.

That is so.

One tremendous it is and see see sites again. You know where another if you so back God will give value and we know this to be true because I know is worked in my life and you've heard me say this all man talk before God has blessed me to pay off.

Not one but two houses, houses are you in my lifetime. Well, it's been all God again like we pastor and I we were talking earlier.

It's about how you manage it's about you looking at the things from God perspective and not looking at things as a problem because you gotta remember now. Second Corinthians chapter 2 in verse 15 says the natural man receives not the things of the spirit of God, you neither can he know them, because he is spiritually bizarre. He don't know the difference because he's looking out for himself, yet he sees problems rather than God bringing solutions and because he's not one of his God didn't listen to him you know Jesus and my sheep hear my voice.

Yes, and that tells me when you belong to him is when he hears you the things that he hear from an unbeliever is Lord save me saying that's what he hears, but because God God word a little child can understand science.

This is so good. This is so good we don't have that long left but continue with past the Leroy is good and it the next stage right. We got the building. We had an okay we get the down payment.

We are working on the Billy and from there on, then on forward. It takes more money to renovate and relay where where you get this money from whatever you do, having to pay for this you know and sure enough we were involved with day with the Wesleyan nomination and they took a chance on us and they financed the remodeling project of the Billy can't hear and that that was an answer prayer. But not only that, they also basically from then on, forward every single step of the remodeling building was done at a super super low price. Wow super low price. You know my dad has construction knowledge. I guess you can say right so we and we had a lot of members who knew how to do work.

Of course there were certain things that need to be no licensing and permits and stuff like that so we start doing a lot of the work manual work that the member*get involved.

You know Terran floors downturn walls down. Get blueprints Don get all that, all that stuff figured out. We all that figured out and we get to the stages where we needed licensing AC plumbers that kind of stuff that somebody has to pull special permit for that and we prayed again God supply rent out of nowhere contractors would show up to the church when we needed them to pull permits and they would offer their services hallelujah glory to God discounted price. Look at this and they would say hey I need my guys to stay working praise hey mio very low just paid hours of my guys keep them busy and will pull permits and do everything you need us to praise God we had that happen multiple timeline plumbing plumbers guy can't block bombing companies that came in fire department like sit in the fire fire extinguishing all those people while they all came and you know normally that would be an outrageous accident. Normally, but God provided there was no other way to explain it when we need it. When we got stuck at something or we could move forward at that precise moment somebody that we needed which show up at the church and say hey this is what I do. Let me know if you need help, praise, praise God. I slightly God listeners. If you are not excited about what God did his brother and and the members of the church and you not breathing because this is stuff that we were coming down to a close. Were we going to continue next week past the Leroy so fast Leroy for Hispanic listeners.

If you could give us prayer probably going off air putting in a sense that almost since then… And you put it when seals put me in plus Netflix. He almost plotted between the one of the plus field in the second amount of time with them and second because he had animal faith, but I can and 50 look at but it's getting policy. Listen, you into normatively muscle payment. A man-made this is so excited I'm so excited.
